The Layers of Death Metal
Hearing Bells
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe day was ever closing, the song in the air was ever melodic and beautiful, and the preparations were growing more cumbersome. Pearl Necklace had proposed to Daisy Meadow, more prominently known as Death Metal, four months ago, now there were only two months remaining. She had yet to pick a wedding dress, flower arrangement, food assortment, color scheme and many essential parts of the wedding Pearl had dreamed of to this very day.
Yet there they were, watching a horror movie on her couch, butt naked and stuffing their faces with popcorn and sour candy. Of course, Death chose the 1998 thriller, Faceless, starring Spotlight and Close Up. They were watching the main protagonist make her way through the house to find herself a kitchen knife in order to fend off the masked killer’s impending attack.
“You think she needs to pee at that point?” Pearl asked before she put another handful of popcorn in her muzzle.
“What?” Death gave her a puzzled glance.
“Well, think about it, all that sneaking around for a whole hour, you would think she’d need to squat somewhere. I played hide-and-seek as a filly and I was tiptoeing through my backyard. I had to piss like a racehorse.” This last comment made Death give a tiny chuckle.
“You also didn't have someone coming at you with a fire axe. Or maybe you did, I don't know what rich bitches did when they played back then.” Death said, then gave a tiny yelp as Pearl gave her bare ass a spank. They exchanged ugly looks, smiled, then kissed.
“Berry! Don’t give up! The authorities are almost there!” The male protagonist said to the distressed unicorn as she lit her horn to light the way through the dark house.
“It’s been two hours! What’s taking them so long!” She whispered back to her cellphone.
“They stopped for danishes and milkshakes, and decided to run the next five miles! Just hold on!” He yelled back as he drove in his car.
“Sounds about right.” Death said as she popped two more kernels into her mouth.
“Did you call the florist today?” Pearl asked Metal as she leaned her head to the side, atop the white pony’s black mane.
Death Metal hummed her yes. “They said that I can look through their samples today around three.” Death Metal dreaded looking through frilly bullshit like flowers. She figured they were going to die afterward anyway, so they may as well hang dead plants around the chapel. Still, Pearl was doing the vast majority of the preparations, she figured she could bare with this crap for her.
“Good, and here I am waiting for the boiler repairman and trying on wedding dresses. Oh, woe is me.” Pearl giggled as Death rolled her eyes.
“One of these days, Pearl.” Death looked as Pearl sneered at her.
Both of them looked toward the screen to see the white plastic mask killer trip on the carpet to get impaled by his own axe in one of the worst practical effects they had ever seen. They still slightly winced though.
“They said the boiler sounded like an easy fix. So they’ll be coming over later today. I really hope so, because that dress lady sounded like she had like fifty dresses for me to look at.” Pearl looked over at Death Metal, who, once again, rolled her eyes.
The movie ended with the large breasted Close Up embracing her in-movie boyfriend who did nothing, Spotlight. Neither Death Metal nor Pearl Necklace wanted to get up from that couch, so they kept watching it through the end credits. Their time together over the past month was very little. Besides their time late at night, there really much to speak of. Pearl had a business to run and a wedding to plan, while Death Metal had to look after spoiled little brats who lived off their parents’ pension.
Death Metal had it pretty well in the body guarding business. The worst she had had to do so far was stop a guy from chasing after a pop star teenager. The guy wanted her to sign his vinyl album, but she was just wanting to be out shopping in the mall. The guy lunged at her with the record in hand, and Death Metal had to spin kick him in the chin. Despite how hard he hit the ground, he simply had extreme bruising, though she could have sworn it would be at least a hairline fracture.
The guy tried to sue, but she gave him plenty of warning, and was well within her rights as a bodyguard, so the case was dismissed as soon as it was brought up. Beyond that it was as simple as shoving someone back or giving them a nasty look.
Pearl held her closer as they laid together sidelong in the couch. She knew that it was hectic right now. In fact, it was hectic before too. Only then it was because she absorbed all of Rich Co.’s assets and divided properties between herself and Vineyard Shinolah. That took a good six months all by itself. Yet, when all of that was mostly taken care of, she had to pop the question to Death Metal. Now it was a whole new slew of problems and deadlines that needed to be met before the big day.
It had not been an easy month for another big reason too. It was probably the worst revelation yet. It seemed that after months of deliberation and finger pointing, the Rich Co. scandal was now officially at an end. One hundred and seventy nine people went to jail for fraud, embezzlement, larson and money laundering. Among them was one Obscenely Rich, Former CEO of Rich Corporation. Pearl Necklace had him to thank for all of her success and a lot of things she had, however, she had to see him go down in flames by her own hand. She took down her own father in a rollercoaster ride that lasted three full days.
He went to jail for just about every crime not involving outright death. With a laundry list of charges, the worst stood out as terrorism, and that alone was enough to put him away for a good long while. He was given twenty five years in a state penitentiary with very little chance of parole. Pearl took the day off from work that day and spent the entire day in her room, wrapped up in a blanket, and Death Metal petting her mane as she cried.
As they sat there in that couch, their arms only tightened more against one another. The credits finally ended and they looked at one another. Their lips met and they petted one another as they kissed ever so deeply. Whatever time they had together was given their full attention. Pulling them apart was only drawing them closer together as far as they could see it.
“Just remember that I never wanted a big wedding.” Death Metal said as they looked at one another, still naked with their breasts mashed together.
“A year ago, you never wanted to get married to anyone.” Pearl reminded her, and Death Metal couldn’t argue.
They sighed together, pecked one another on the lips, and got up from the couch. Death got her clothes on slowly. Her black Severed Synapse shirt was brand new from the mall. Pearl had picked it up for her, knowing she had their album within the millions of vinyl records she currently possessed. She put on her dark gray jeans and her black sneakers.
“Pearl, I hope you know what I’m doing for you. If that woman says stupid shit like ‘Baby Poo Poo Green’ again I’m going to shove a tulip down her throat and make her choke out an apology.” The quoted term was said in extreme finger quotations, and spoken in as deep a growl as she could manage.
“Oh, come on Death, it was an accurate shade of green.” Pearl said, trying her best to convince Death Metal that it was true, but judging by the mare’s twitching eye glare, that was a lost cause.
“I don’t call this shirt ‘cancer shit black’ and I think that’s best for everyone. Anyway, I’m done bitching, I’ll see you later. I’ll pick you up those cake samples after I’m done, I promise.”
As Pearl put on her short red dress that match her hair and eyes, she got up from the couch and embraced her fiance. They hugged tight. “Thank you, Death. You don’t know how much this means to me. You’ve been such a big help, and I know I was a total cunt during the color deliberation, but we’ll make a solid decision next time, okay?”
Death nodded, but Pearl knew otherwise. The white furred mare was not getting the recognition she deserved in this case, Pearl thought. Given her upbringings, Pearl knew that she was thankful just being able to eat every day. The shade of blue in a wall sconce was about as important to her as a broken leaf beneath her hoof. She was only doing this because it’s what Pearl always wanted. Death Metal was putting up with a whole lot of shit that she didn’t want to do and Pearl swore to her that it would all be worth it in the end.
They said their goodbyes and pecked their lips as Death Metal walked out into the garage to her car. That’s right, her car. For so long, she told Pearl that she was not about to get a car for her, no matter how many magazines and car dealerships she drove by. Death was dead set on earning her own car and making her own car payments. Well, the more stuff she did as a bodyguard, the more her stock skyrocketed. After her defense of the little pop star, Dreamscape Daisy, she became a golden child to the body guarding community.
The car was old style, but the paint job shined like the sun over the pitch black. It was one of the first special edition hot rods ever made, and Pearl found it at a car show. Its engine was rebuilt from the ground up and its interior was given an entirely new coat, but beyond that, it had its original frame and its design wasn’t tampered with in the least.
Despite her demeanor, everytime she set eyes on this beauty in their three car garage, it always brought a smile to her face.
Pearl sighed. Once again, she was without her darling girl and without freetime. She held onto happiness for as long as she could, but it was time to get back to work. She went to her study and got her agenda. Everything in the agenda was planned to the letter. There were maps of plan A’s and plan B’s in case anything fell through. This wedding had facilities and Pearl called them constantly to make sure everything was still in order. Then there was another chapel on standby in case anything else happened. It was as solid as it could possibly be.
As she went through her notes, she saw the name Gemini Ties on today’s date. The name occurred to her, of course. They were not only the best and cheapest repair place in Ranchtown, but also, there was Spark. Electric Spark, what a hunk of horse meat he was.
She had already gotten a little taste of that unicorn’s hard cock, and he pumped her full of hot cum last time she saw him. Death Metal caught it on her phone. Pearl found herself revisiting that video footage when she had to rub a quick one out. Now he was going to come fix their boiler. What a way to start a porno movie. She knew his capacity for hot mares, and she knew how to manipulate his huge, thick, amazing cock of his.
She checked the clock. Only fifteen minutes until he arrived. Maybe she could catch it on camera and show it to his twin sister. The jealousy would make Pearl overflow with lust and she would fuck the hell out of Death Metal with some extra gusto.
Without another thought, Pearl pulled up her skirt and pulled her thong off. One single bend over and Spark was hers for the taking. Sorry, Voltage, but fair is fair, and you can’t hog all of that horse sausage all to yourself.
Pearl couldn't help but giggle profusely. Then she perked up immediately as she heard the doorbell ring. She quickly tugged her skirt down to cover her bare ass. The pink earth pony checked her hair in a mirror in the hallway as she rushed over to the door. She opened the door with a bright smile on her face.
The smile crumbled. Her eyes widened as her soul was crushed into millions of breakable pieces. She stood at her doorway, bewildered and broken in the span of three tiny seconds.
“Hi, Pearl." Voltage said as she stood there in her gray tank top and gray jumpsuit pants. She wore a large tool belt with her hand on her hip. “Heard you had a boiler problem.”
“Oh, hi… Voltage. So nice of you to come help me with my… hot water… heater.” Pearl bit back a horrific growl of disappointment. “Please,” She cleared her throat. “Come in.”
Pearl held the door open for Voltage, letting her walk in. The orange unicorn looked to Pearl as she looked into the house. She directed her to the kitchen, where there was a metal door across from the door connected to the garage.
“That’s quite the door.” Voltage said as she slid her hand across it. She pulled it open and had to strain a bit. “Damn! Why is it so heavy?”
“I turned the basement into a safe room. It’s made of titanium. Cost me a pretty bit, but just wait until someone breaks in. Pretty soon, I'll install a landline in there.” Pearl explained with some pride.
“I thought Death Metal was good enough security.” Voltage said with a chuckle, and Pearl surrendered the point. “So you said it was something wrong with the heating unit? From what Spark said, there it was barely heating?”
“Yeah, and we get about five minutes of lukewarm water before it goes cold." Pearl nodded. “Speaking of Spark…”
“He’s not coming.” Voltage interjected, and there it was, the tension. Pearl couldn't hide a scowl as two eyes glared back at her from Voltage’s gray eyes.
Voltage got out her multimeter and walked into the basement.
Death paused outside the door to look at the sign. The name on the place was Rose Matter. Such a name made her want to turn tail and run. That name brought back very bad memories. Still, she had to remind herself that she was a big girl now and this was the sole purpose of making Pearl’s life easier. All of the frilly flowers showcased through the glass, the UV lights pointed down at them and the pungent smell of soil and nature assaulted her senses as she walked into the flower shop.
The thought of using Leafly for her greenthumb abilities had occurred to them, but she was now living in the farming area outside of Ranchtown. She spent her days making winery grapes now, and from what they heard from Vineyard, she was pretty happy working there.
Death looked at the empty counter as she walked into the store. She had to admit, there were some amazingly colorful bouquets and some fantastic assortments to choose from. The mere thought that Pearl was counting on her to make the final decision seemed absurd.
“Hello?” Death asked no one in particular.
“Hi!” An older sounding mare said from the back. “Are you Pearl Necklace?” She asked as it sounded like she was finishing something up before heading to the front.
“No, I'm the other bride. She was busy so she sent me.” Death explained, her brow furrowing. There was something about that voice.
“Oh! Lovely, let’s go ahead and… get… started…” The green, pudgy mare with long, curly red hair stepped out to the front, but she dropped her scissors onto the ground as she laid eyes on Death Metal. Her lower lip quivered and her hands dropped to her sides.
Death’s legs went numb as her heart sank into the depths inside her chest. Her face instinctively went solid as her mouth went completely dry.
“Oh, hello,” There was a very long pause as Rosemary began to fidget with her fingers between her hands. “...Daisy."
Death Metal cringed on the inside while her face was stonewalled. She nodded to her though. “Mom…”
Pearl watched as Voltage worked. She sat in a chair next to a green top poker table as Voltage took apart the heating unit’s faceplate. As she got the plate off, she started looking at the wires.
“So, might I ask why you took this job instead of Spark?” Pearl dared to ask, and the sound of repairs suddenly stopped. The red and blue maned unicorn looked up from her work and glowered. “I'm just curious.”
“Because Spark is busy.” Voltage said in as blunt of a voice as she could manage. “Sometimes we need to juggle the jobs to get everything done.”
“From what I heard, you were handling the jobs at the shop while Spark was making the house calls.” Pearl scratched her ankle as she crossed it over her knee.
“What, are you keeping tabs on us now? What makes you--" She looked toward Pearl and her nostrils flared up. “I knew it!” She pointed a finger at Pearl’s crotch where her bare pussy showed below her skirt. “You horny slut! You were totally going after Spark! What, were you drawing porn inspiration? Gonna go after the big, hunky repairman and bend over to let him see your loose, sagging pussy!”
Pearl’s red eyes almost seemed to glow with red, rage energy as she gritted her teeth together. “Don’t you dare come at me with your double standards! Last time I checked, there was a certain sister getting railed by that pony! And you're no saint when it comes to seducing unsuspecting stallions! So, yeah, I wanted some penis. I don't see your logic in counting on your brother as a sex supplier!” Pearl stood up and the two of them were face to face.
“Well, at least I'm not someone who takes advantage of blackout drunk ponies her house!” Voltage spat back, making Pearl recoil a bit.
“He pulled out his cock on me! I just didn't argue! And let’s just say you weren't shy about shoving your snatch in my face!”
They were muzzle to muzzle at this point, scowling eyes not backing down as they were ready to start going fisty cuffs.
Voltage, not even taking her eyes off of Pearl, pulled out a screwdriver from her belt and twisted one screw back into place, making the heating unit boil back to life. “Fixed. I'll send you my bill.”
Pearl’s eyes widened as she looked down at the boiler. Voltage turned around and started putting the face plate back onto it and putting on all of the components to hold it. She wanted to get a last word in, but honestly, she was very impressed. Voltage cleaned up the area around the work area, gave Pearl another look, then walked back up the stairs.
“Voltage…” Pearl said as she put her hand on the door handle to leave. “Will you come to my wedding?”
The orange unicorn paused, then looked back at her. She thought for a moment, remembering the invitations that were in the mail, individual ones that allowed for plus ones.
“I’ll think about it.” Voltage turned the handle, and pulled it completely off with no effort. She looked at it for a moment, then looked at the door. Then she looked at the handle, then back at the door.
“Did that… What… Did you?” Pearl looked at her with a flabbergasted face.
Voltage turned to her with the door handle in hand. Her eyes were apologetic and her mouth was quivering.
“Oh… fuck…” They said in synch.
“So, you are marrying the richest pony in the north of Equestria.” Rosemary said, her arms crossed in front of her chest. “When did you change your name?”
Death’s eye twitched, suddenly all of those awful memories came flooding back. It was no secret that she had a dark past, but her mind was so focused in front of her. Now her head turned back to when she was thirteen years old so fast her head was spinning.
“While I was at the asylum.” Death said without the slightest hesitation. Of course, Rose took offense to this. She took offense to a lot of hurtful truths.
“It was not an asylum it was-" Rose was interrupted.
“A prison… Whatever you call it to make yourself feel better, you disowned me when things were at their worst. I clearly needed support that you weren't giving me, so I fended for myself against two stuck up bitches that deserved every bruise and broken bone I gave them.”
Rosemary tried to stand strong against the onslaught that her daughter was giving her. She tried to interject, but the look on Death’s face showed that she wasn't allowing it.
“You… you can't mean that.” Rose’s voice was breaking hard. She tried to reason that she sent her for mental care for her own good. However, there was still that glaring detail that she never came to visit, she never called, nor did she come to pick Daisy up when she was released at the age of eighteen.
“Why not? Because you were the shining example of a motherly figure? Because your sperm donor treated me like a princess and helped me with homework and cuddles when I was sad? No.” Death’s brow was furrowed and her fists were clenched tight.
Rosemary was lost at that moment. Seeing Death Metal with black hair instead of her natural blonde was already a slap to the face. She looked more like an early nineties punk rocker than the daughter she had taught to plant seeds and care for blossoms.
“Daisy…” She started to say, but she wasn't given an inch.
“Don't call me that! There is only one pony who can call me that, and that’s my future wife.” Death looked at her for a moment and sneered. “And your former customer.”
She turned to walk out of the store.
“Am I not invited to the-"
“No.” The door shut behind her.
Before she even had a chance to pursue Death Metal, she sped off from the parking lot. However, she didn't pursue her. She didn't attempt to get the last word in.
Death drove up the street, parked in the back parking space behind the Wheatery and she leaned her head on the steering wheel. Her chest heaved, her eyes clenched shut, trying with all of her might to hold back the tears.
She gritted her jaw, her eyeliner smudging up and her fists held tight onto the wheel. She was ready to shriek at the top of her lungs.
She did scream, but it was from jumping out of her skin as a finger tapped against her window. She looked out her window, thinking it was going to be a police officer about to give her a speeding ticket. But there was Ma Bushel, her former manager, smiling at her and waving.
Death managed a meek smile and waved back.
“Oh, of course this is my fault! Why would I ever think it was the one who actually pulled off the damn door handle to begin with?” Pearl and Voltage were face to face in the basement. Both of them were butt naked as their sweaty clothes were on the floor against the wall. The boiler was going on and off at random to keep hot water going, and there were no air conditioner vents.
“Don't put this on me! We wouldn't be in this mess if it weren't for your workers’ shotty quality.” Voltage was down to sitting at the bottom of the stairs, sweating all over the steps as she tried to fan herself. “Can I interest you in an air conditioner down here when we get out of here?”
“I will take you up on that.” All of Pearl’s make up was ruined. She used her three hundred bit skirt to wipe it all off so it didn't sting her eyes. “Can you have your brother install it?” She couldn't hide her grin.
“I will throw you off a bridge.” Voltage said, unable to build up the energy to sound threatening. Voltage checked her phone again, but there was no signal in an underground, reinforced room meant to withstand a hurricane of very high caliber. “I hope this rearranges your priorities. It would behoove you to get this damn basement up to living standards.”
“Yeah, after my wedding, I'll get right on it.” Pearl was kicking herself for not installing that purified water faucet down here. She shook her head, already feeling the dry lips mouth as an early sign of dehydration. Sweat beaded down every part of her body as she tried to get some semblance of comfort. All she felt was the growing puddle of sweat growing under her bare ass. “Fuck. We could die down here and no one would be the wiser until we start stinking. Don't you have some kind of magic to cool us off?”
Voltage shook her head. “I have a spell that could make you go in full heat. I doubt that’s gonna help us right now. We are losing too many fluids, we’re going to start feeling the effects of heat exhaustion soon.” She tried to think. If she kept trying to pull the door open, she was going to over exert herself and pass out even faster.
That’s when the water heater turned off again. Voltage’s ears perked up.
“Maybe we should write our goodbye no--"
“Shh-shush.” Voltage listened as close as she could. There was another hum of machinery. It was very faint and also sounded quite unique. “Is there another machine in here?”
“Another machine? Not that I know of.” Pearl looked around, seeing the table behind her, as well as the chair with her sweaty ass print. On the other side of the table was the beginnings of construction of a newly furnished room. It was dark, with a very tiny window up top near the ceiling, giving minimal light. Everything else was just boxes stacked on boxes. They were boxes full of cups, power strips, several extension cords, unassembled bookshelves and a coffee maker. In the corner behind the boxes, however, was a much taller, larger box.
Voltage and Pearl went up to the boxes to start looking through them, however, Pearl went up to the tallest one and threw it to the side as it was empty.
“Whoa!” Pearl shouted, she looked at the industrial sized refrigerator. It was solid black with a two giant doors and a huge freezer drawer down at the bottom. “When did we get this in?”
“You didn’t buy this?” Voltage asked, and Pearl raised both of her hands.
“No! I wouldn’t buy black. Death Metal kept telling me to get a refrigerator down here. I guess she took it upon herself! Holy shit!” Pearl opened the fridge’s door and both of them squealed with absolute delight. The entire thing was filled from top to bottom with bottled water. They opened both of the refrigerator doors and the freezer drawer. The ponies basked in the wondrous feeling of pure synthetic cold.
“Remind me to kiss Death Metal on the lips!” She said and both of them drank deep. Voltage got through two bottles of water while Pearl did one and a half, then poured the rest over her chest and stomach, shivering and squealing as it hit.
“I get first crack at her.” She said and both of them laughed.
They stood in front of one another, bare naked and Voltage already opening up another bottle. They stared each other down, but forgot why they were fighting to begin with. In that wonderful moment, it was hard to stay mad at either of them. They weren’t sure if they drank the water too fast, or if they just felt overwhelmed.
“Voltage…” Pearl said, and looked down at the orange unicorn’s tits. Voltage saw this, and looked down at the pink pony’s as well. “I love your pink nipples.” Pearl bared witness to the two nipples growing harder.
“Yeah, well…” Voltage looked off to the side, trying not to stare at her massive breasts. Her eyes seemed to fix on them whenever she let her guard down anyway. “I like how big yours are.”
Pearl took one step closer to Voltage, and they looked each other in the eye. Voltage looked off to the side once again as she approached and Pearl did as well.
“If there’s one thing Death has taught me, it’s that I’ve been a massive bitch.” Pearl said in a quiet voice, very close to Voltage now. “And I’m sorry about what happened in high school. I know I did everything I could to ruin some of the best years of your life because I was so damn selfish.” Pearl’s voice wavered more than once. She even had tears welling up in her eyes. She sniffed back the tears once, but then her eyes opened wide as Voltage made an unexpected noise.
Pearl gazed at the unicorn as she began to laugh, looking at the pink pony with the happiest face she had ever seen Voltage make.
“Ummm,” Voltage said through her gales of laughter. “Yeah, about my high school years.”
The two of them munched on wheat burgers and fountain drinks, popping fries from the large box as they sat in Ma Bushel’s office. The place was a mess, but then it was never really considered clean to begin with. Ma was the same as she always was. It was no surprise, since it had only been about four months since she let Death Metal go.
“Honey, I have to say, you did the right thing.” Ma Bushel said as she sipped her soda to wash down everything that was in her mouth. “I know big, strong beefy stallions who would crumble under the pressure you just took. You gotta know, it takes a heart of steel to take on your momma. I know this from experience, though my fillies and colts are off in Ranch U now.”
“Oh, did Flash finally make it in?” Death asked as she wadded up her burger wrapper and put it in the small trash bin.
“Yep, love that colt to death, but dear lord it was a miracle he passed the entrance exam. Now he just needs to keep out of trouble while he studies.” She nodded to Death, also throwing away her trash. “Now, Death Metal, I know from experience that what you did is going to be hard to deal with, but by the same token, you gotta know that you were just tying up a loose end. And, hot damnit, that took guts! You never talked about ya mama to me, and I figured it was for a reason. I didn’t know the reason, nor did I care. Now you can go back home to your wife with your head up high, and carry on like you was before.”
Death Metal nodded, though her eyes were still down at the floor, with her thumbs twiddling between her hands. Ma Bushel tilted her head a little bit at Death Metal. The heavy set, bright blue mare frowned at Death’s posture and expression.
“You say yes, but you’re not saying yes.” Ma said, scratching her red mane. “What’s got you down, honey?”
“Amaranth…” Death Metal said, drawing yet another puzzled face from Ma. “She was a friend of mine a long time ago. When I was on the inside, she helped me in ways I never thought possible. Where others picked on me because I was short, Amaranth showed me how to transform into something that they couldn’t make fun of. They could try, but because of that pony, I could take it then. I could handle myself in ways I never dreamed.” Death Metal tapered off. The rest of it didn’t need to be said, she figured out, because Ma already drew the right conclusion. Amaranth didn’t survive her time in the young filly correctional facility. “Just laying eyes on my mother drew everything back in. It was a part of my past I didn’t want to remember. That’s why I left so fast.”
“Darlin’, if the world were perfect, my ass would be smaller and I’d be in a mansion bigger than your fiance’s. The problem is that the world is full of problems and you’ve just been carrying too many on those tiny little shoulders of yours.” That’s when the larger earth pony got up from her desk and walked over to the 5’1’’ white pony. She placed her hand on Death Metal’s cheek and pulled her other cheek into her very soft, warm stomach.
At first, Death Metal’s eyes widened in surprise, but since it was Ma, she allowed it to happen.
“I’ve known you since you was punchin’ them wimps in that fightin’ arena you use to go to. I even taped you up more than once. Seeing you today will be the highlight of my life until that weddin’.” Ma Bushel stroked her black mane ever so softly with a slightly shaky hand. “Before this, it was pullin’ that invitation out of the mailbox. My heart sang like it hadn’t sung in years. Wherever your friend is, she’s proud of ya too. You still put up your dukes when you need to, but you learned to love again. For someone that’s been through what you’ve been through, that’s hard. Dear lord, is it ever. You done good, darlin’.” Ma Bushel felt a warm patch start to grow on her belly as Death Metal softly shedded her tears into her Wheatery uniform.
Ma Bushel smiled at this and kept her hand pressed against the side of her muzzle as Death’s breathing became uneven and the tears rolled down, making her black eyeliner run with it. Ma wanted to say something profound, something that those poets said, or those movie stars could say when they had the proper script memorized. Something to top it all off. In the end, she shrugged it off and just let Death Metal keep composing herself.
“You done good.” She said again.
“No. Fucking. Way.” Pearl sat in her chair across from Voltage, who also sat in another. They were in front of the fridge, which was opened up and feeding them much needed cool air. She tried to take in all of what Voltage was telling her, and it was a little hard to decipher. “I mean, why? How? Who in their right mind would want to go back to high school to relive something so awful?”
“Well, I guess Ponyville High just wasn’t enough. So, after Spark and I opened shop, we were doing really well. So well, in fact, that one day, the high school here in Ranchtown gave us some jobs to do around the school, and I just kind of sat in on some classes.” Voltage smiled and laughed a little bit again. “So, I more or less snuck into Golden Mile High. At first, it was just a few classes, but then I was just seen there so regularly, and people never asked.” Voltage gave a nervous smile and a shrug.
Pearl was shaking her head, not believing any of this at all. She knew there were days when Voltage wasn’t in class, but she never questioned it because she was too busy not caring. Voltage getting away with all of this wasn’t even the big surprise, the fact that she wanted to be in that high school blew Pearl away. Come to think of it, Voltage even went to the Homecoming Dance and Prom.
“That’s so wild.” Pearl said with no small amount of amazement. “You know, you could have put on clothes a while ago. We’ve cooled off our bodies enough.” She directed Voltage’s attention to her very hard nipples on her pink, DD size breasts.
“Yeah, I know.” Voltage said as she looked down at Pearl massaging her own tits in front of the electrician. “I’m fine like this.”
That was when Pearl motioned for Voltage to come to her. The unicorn complied and Pearl slowly wrapped her arms around her shoulders, her hands cupping the back of her neck.
“I know I haven't been a good pony in the past. Let’s face it, I was an entitled little brat who got everything she wanted and more. But I've spent the last year and a half trying to make up for it. I know it takes more than some free drinks and kind words to make amends, especially with you.” Pearl whispered to her. “I'm not saying that you have to love me, or even like me. I just want this senseless feud to be done with. We were at our best when we were working together.”
There was a great deal of truth in Pearl’s words then. She couldn't deny that a lot of their spats were rooted in a mutual jealousy they had for one another. Voltage felt warm, despite the refrigeration humming over them. Pearl rubbed her hands softly over her back and their foreheads leaned into each other’s.
“I just have to give you one last bit of revenge, though.” Voltage said, making Pearl’s eyes grow puzzled. “You didn't think you’d get off scott free did you?”
Before Pearl could respond, Voltage activated her horn into a bright yellow glow, which last out and struck the pink pony. Pearl felt no pain at all. In fact, there was a sudden, delicious aching in her. One sudden move and she let out a wondrous moan.
“Y-you!” Pearl suddenly grabbed her own enormous tits and cried out as they were more sensitive than they had ever been. “You cast that-Oh God!” Her legs clenched together, drawing forth a great deal of juice from her self stimulating pussy.
“What’s the matter? I thought you liked playing tricks on unsuspecting ponies.” Voltage got down on her knees in front of Pearl and pulled her knees apart, exposing her self lubricating quim.
“You beautiful slut! I hate you so much! Lick me! Fuck me!” Pearl shouted and let out a howl as Voltage went down on her. Her tongue showing a great deal of gusto as she started licking and sucking Pearl’s inner labia. The redheaded pony gripped the back of Voltage’s head to make her press her muzzle harder against her crotch. Each lick was met with an exasperated moan and a plea for more.
Voltage moaned into the pink pussy with a smile on her face as she pinched her own nipples while her tongue went to work. It was absolutely breathtaking how well Pearl Necklace took to the spell. It worked ten times better on a willing party. Pearl was obviously very willing. Her lust was at its peak and her hormones mingled with the spell as if it were an old acquaintance.
“Mmmmm, your turn.” Voltage said as she stopped licking and stood up. Pearl immediately attached her lips to Voltage’s nipple. Her tongue caressed the pink areola on her orange furred breast. Her hand squeezed her boob softly as she caressed both mammaries gently.
Pearl’s free hand slid down to Voltage’s very wet and waiting slit between her legs. She slid two fingers into her and started to gently pump them in and out of her. Voltage’s breath began to work overtime as Pearl still hand her hard nipple stuffed into her mouth, licking and caressing it all over. Voltage was dripping all down the back of Pearl’s fist.
The unicorn’s legs widened, and she couldn't help but notice when Pearl removed her mouth from her breast and smile up at her wickedly.
Overcoat knocked on the door for the third time, then checked her watch. She was a tad late, but it shouldn't make much of a difference. There was a Gemini Ties van parked outside, so someone must have been home. She spent so much time preparing each individual dress for this and tirelessly lug them around on a long hanger rack. The hanger rack was behind her on the walkway. Pulling it into the house at the proper angle was going to be a great joy, for sure.
“Miss Pearl? Are you there?” Overcoat sighed, she did not want to reload the dresses back in the van only to do the whole thing over again.
She figured she must be somewhere in there where she couldn't hear her knocking. She decided to chance it. The purple furred, pink maned unicorn opened the door, carefully looking left and right.
After a good long time of pulling the long rack through the door without touching any edges or walls, she rolled it into the living room.
“Miss Pearl?” She called through the house. Then there was an ever so tiny sound. She tried to wave her long, curly mane out of the way of her ear. The barely audible noise seemed to be coming from the kitchen. As she followed the sound, Overcoat came between two doors on either side of the walls in a small walkway. She could tell one led to the garage, but the other was the shiniest, most solid door she had ever seen. She placed the side of her face to it to get her ear closer to the sound.
Whatever the noise was, it was a high octave and it sounded like something of a cry for help.
“Miss Pearl?!” Overcoat took great pains to turn the handle hard and force the door open.
The image of Pearl and Voltage on the floor, legs intertwined and grinding their pussies together would be burned into Overcoat’s brain for the rest of her life.
Both of them stopped and looked at Overcoat for a brief moment. The purple unicorn’s face turned a very bright red.
“Oh, um, I'm sorry, I can reschedule.” Overcoat turned her head away and began closing the door.
Then came a loud clattering of voices from both of them. Though it was jumbled, she got the words “don’t" and “door.” As she widened her eyes and the door, both of them breathed a sigh of relief.
Death Metal walked through the garage door and heard laughter and clapping from the living room. She looked in to see Pearl in a marvelous, cream colored strapless dress with pearls and shining decorations all over the front of it. She did a double take when she saw Sweet Voltage sitting on the couch with two glasses and an open bottle of champagne on the coffee table in front of her. On the other side of the room was the very elegant Overcoat with a handheld mirror pointed to Pearl and a large camera mounted up on a tripod.
Death wasn't normally the one to show surprise on her face, but right now, such astonishment couldn't be masked.
“Darling!” Pearl said as she rushed up to her and embraced her. They pecked each other on the lips. “I'm almost done trying on dresses! And guess what!”
The white earth pony kept her puzzled look on her face as Pearl scurried over to Voltage. She helped the orange unicorn off of the couch and kissed her full on the cheek. All of the questions flooded Death Metal in that moment.
“I found my maid of honor!” She proclaimed.
Voltage gasped at the proclamation and laughed a bit in surprise. “Awww, thank you, Pearl!”
There came a barrage of blinks from the raven maned earth pony, who remained speechless. Normally, Pearl could tell when Death was happy or not. It took a certain set of eyes to tell what her tiny tell signs were. That’s why Pearl’s expression turned to a look of worry.
“Death? What’s wrong?” She stepped away from Voltage to see Death Metal tear up a little. Pearl’s concern turned serious as she put one hand on Death’s shoulder and one on her muzzle. “What happened?”
Death leaned her head onto Pearl’s chest and sighed. “We need a new Florist.”
