Dreading The Mohawk

The mood of Saturday morning was much more calm and shining than the night before. The birds were singing, and their music filled the air. In an apartment block down in the suburbs of Canterlot, the sun was slowly rising up and casting its light into the room. The sunlight shined over a bed, and over to a girl with fiery hair, dark purple pajamas, underneath a single blanket.

Her turquoise eyes slowly woke up to the morning light and she let out a yawn. But as her lips smacked together, along with the stretch of her own arms, she felt a little pattering of feet against her forehead. When she looked up and held her hand out, she gave a smile.

"Morning Ray." Sunset smiled.

Ray was Sunset's new pet, a little leopard gecko that she bought to help out an animal fundraiser for Fluttershy. And ever since then, she had kept him since like a member of her own family.

"How are you little guy?" Sunset cooed, getting herself up. The gecko only smiled and rubbed his head against her palm, making her giggle. "I love you too Ray."

She carefully got down the stairs, still carrying Ray in her hand. She set him down on her desk where she worked, she poured him his food. Once he fed, she went to go take a quick stop to the bathroom. Once she was done, she came back and went to get breakfast.

With a cup of nice hot coffee in a mug, and a bowl of cereal in hand, she sat down at her desk.

"Okay Ray, lets see what's on the agenda for today?"

Sunset turned on her computer, and typed in her password to log in. Once she was in, she started to go through several internet browsers to check her status on social media, and going into to check her email. The most recent email she received was from Twilight Sparkle.

She clicked on her email and she read what her friend had sent her.

Dear Sunset,

My grandmother is getting much better as we speak. She's recovering from the surgery, and she should be fine enough to come back home. But I'm afraid we're going to be stuck here for a bit longer, so I may not be able to make it back tonight. I hope you and the rest of the girls are doing alright. See you home soon!

Twilight

Sunset gave a smile. It was nice to hear Twilight was doing alright.

She was about to type up another response, but a notification on her computer buzzed. A tab opened up, asking for a video call. And when she read the name, she instantly accepted the call.

On screen, the good old face of Optimus Prime was visible, with his mask removed.

"Good morning Sunset. I hope I wasn't interrupting anything important." Optimus said.

"No Optimus. And good morning to you too." Sunset smiled, taking a sip of her coffee. "What's up?"

"I didn't wish to interrupt your Saturday morning, but I believe it is paramount that you and your friends must know this. We received word of a Decepticon sighting in the Canterlot vicinity, and I believe you should have been the first to know. We don't have enough information on who this Decepticon is. The Alchemor's log holds only minimal information."

"Well, what do we know?"

The image on screen changed, this time projecting the same monstrous looking Decepticon from the night before, this time with clearer visuals all done in a mugshot. Sunset nearly jumped back in her chair just from the scary looking thing.

"Who is that?" Sunset asked.

"The Alchemor's prison log reads the Decepticon as Berserker. A member of a Decepticon family by the name of the Dreads. Berserker left after being relegated by the team, and has been on the run ever since. The last piece of information here reads that Berserker had recently joined a new gang, but its members are unidentified."

Once Optimus finished reading, the screen turned back to him.

"We are unsure of how dangerous this Decepticon is. So until we have more information, we wish to request you and your friends to stay as far away from Decepticon activity."

Sunset sipped another amount of her coffee, taking in Optimus's words.

"Alright I guess. Are you sure you don't need help?"

"I'm positive Sunset. Just make sure you stay safe, and stay with your friends if need be."

Sunset nodded. "Understood Optimus. Just be careful, okay?"

Optimus smiled. "We will."

Later, as the morning went on, everyone went about their usual Saturday. Taking their time off to go do some errands for the day, go exercise, or just go have fun with their friends.

In one of the banks, there was a line of people waiting to cash in checks. The lines were long, but thankfully this errand wasn't too big a problem for their day. But their day was about to be put on hold when a large crowd of people outside were screaming and panicking.

The people in line turned their heads in confusion for about a few seconds. Catching on quick, the people in line quickly jumped out and ducked for cover.

Running through the front doors were a few people wearing ski masks, covered in black, and holding machine guns and other artillery in hand.

"Alright, if you want to live, get down on the ground, right now!" One of the robbers yelled.

Everyone raised their hands up, not wanting to feel the cold bullets penetrate their skin. And they kindly stepped aside so the robber could get through.

"Open up the vault, right now." The second robber asked with a cold tone. "Or one by one, everyone dies. Starting with you."

Before the person at the desk could comply, she freaked and dropped to the floor. But it wasn't at the robbers she was freaking out over. It was the hunking metallic body that was standing outside, ready to bash its way in. Within seconds, a large biped form jumped through the front entrance, breaking the door and the glass window upon entry, and holding a giant gun. The Decepticon shot another glass window and let out a high pitched shriek.

Everyone freaked out and they all moved out of the way as best as they could to avoid fire.

The robbers themselves stared up at the hulking giant and gulped. They were well aware of the Decepticons in town, and they didn't want to do anything that involved them.

The two slowly tried to move away, but the Decepticon stared down at them and pointed his gun towards them. There, they got a better look at his form. He had eight eyes on his face, and a few horns sticking out the back of his head. He also had sharp claws that could easily slice through bread, and his skin was shaded in tons of dark gray and bronze.

"S-So... you here to rob a bank as well?"

The Decepticon roared at them, and tilted his gun a bit as he pointed at them.

"Wait, you... you want us to get out of your way?"

The Decepticon huffed and nodded, gesturing them to stand to were he was pointing. The robbers acknowledged him and they dropped their weapons, slowly walking to the area he stood, keeping their hands up in the air.

But just then, a roaring sound of a motorbike filled their ears, and everyone saw a hovering bike steer its way into the bank hovering in thin air. It flipped itself around revealed another biped figure, only this one was about the size of any of the adults in the room, only a few inches taller. It had two tires sticking out his shoulders, blades out his arms, sharp fingers, but the most identifiable feature on him was the green mohawk sticking out the top of his head.

"My man! Its good to see ya! I can't believe I found ya!"

The Decepticon let out another roar in reply.

"I know, I missed you too. What are you doing robbin' a bank for crying out loud!? You're supposed to be a professional!"

The Decepticon just roared some more.

"I know you have no patience for waiting in line!" The Decepticon waited for him to reply before speaking. "Yeah I know you were trying to stop these lugheads from walkin' out of here like that, you don't just go jumping into a place with a gun! That's how Crankcase got arrested!"

The smaller Decepticon rolled his eyes at the next response.

"Oh will you quit smiling you idiot! That ain't funny!" The Decepticon crossed his arms. "Don't give me that look, you know you were being stupid. Now come on, we've got to find our--"

"FREEZE!"

The two Decepticons stood still, holding their arms up in surrender. In front of them were several members of the Canterlot Police Department, accompanied by one of the Autobot combiner teams; the Protectobots.

"By authority of the Canterlot Police Department, you two are under arrest!"

The two Decepticons grumbled and raised their arms up.

"See, this is what happens you play stupid ya dolt." The mohawked Con shook his head.

In an another location, outside of the bank where the two Decepticons were standing, another Decepticon was loose. Free from his stasis pod, over in a junkyard, the Decepticon was busy trying to find parts to construct a new device or any form of weapon he could muster up.

His body was a bit chunky compared to the other Decepticons, and he was mostly colored in green. He had a dome head that was sunken in to his chest, a dog tag chain hanging around his neck, and there were a pair of treads that were sticking out of his own back. The last pieces on him that were noticeable were the giant claw attached to his right arm, and the two guns hanging onto his left arm.

"Lets see... no, that's not it... Yes!"

The Decepticon grabbed the part in time, and clipped it carefully, holding it in his claw. "Just the piece I need."

"Freeze!"

The Decepticon turned around and huffed. Standing with several guns at the ready were a few Autobot Wreckers, ready to fight. The Decepticon used his sharp claw to carefully set the piece on the ground, and looked back up at them.

"Do you really think you can take me on, Autobots?"

"I think we can."

Out the corner of the Decepticon's eye, he took in notice of more of the Canterlot Police form moving out from the sides, closing him in the tight space. The Decepticon's eyes widened when he looked at the humans all standing in place, ready to fight.

Petrified, he looked back at the Autobots.

"You're throwing organic life into this fight? What if they get hurt?"

"Hey, you... wait, what?"

"If you're going to throw these organics who had nothing to do with us... then fine. I surrender." The Decepticon raised his arms up in surrender.

The Autobots raised brows.

"I don't buy it. No Decepticon would give up that easily."

"I swear, I surrender. Don't believe me, look up my file. I'm sure the Alchemor had something on me."

One of the Autobots pulled out a manifest, and a holo-projection of his mugshot and file displayed for everyone to see.

"Lets see... goes by the name of Rigs... technician... and the only crime you've committed is stealing things with your new 'gang' as you call it."

"We're a real gang, and you know it."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah..." The Wreckers moved in place and placed stasis-cuffs onto his wrists. "Come on tubby, we're taking you back to a more comfortable place, one where you can meet with the rest of your little prison buddies..."

"Are you seriously just going to make fat jokes for the rest of the trip?"

"Yep!"

The Decepticon groaned and the police officers just chuckled as they walked away. But one of the police cars within the crowd just sat and watched, with the engine humming silently. And without anyone looking, the car slowly drove away from the crowd, and left the scrapyard and onto the open streets.

Sitting in place, the car's siren lights turned on without the siren alarm, and it slowly drove into traffic, leaving the scene. Unseen, undetected, and not even noticed, it drove away without a peak from suspicious eyes...

Author's Note

This may not be the best character these Last Knight Cons were given, but hey, its better than no character at all and only there as bodies to shoot.
