Your eyes sprung up like they were rabbits scared by lions. You felt tired and wanted to go back to bed so you checked the time to see if that could be arranged. You looked outside and still saw the moon hanging there, so you went back to sleep knowing the sun wasn't going to bother you for some time. The only problem was closing your eyes, a task which seemed impossible for the moment. You got up from bed and wondered if it was a curse. Sleeping was, in the opinion of your body, out of the question for the moment.

"Well, no point fighting it," you thought as you walked around the house for sometime trying to figure out what to do. After some time you sat down to read a book. This had to be a great way to be tired again!

You sat there for a while, scanning the words. You lived into the charcter of a treasure hunter, trying to claim a long lost treasure which could only be found in a deep temple somewhere far away. You closed the book, thinking something along the line of what you were doing. You couldn't have gotten much sleep as the lack of it brought forth the inner critic in you. The floor seemed nice for a couple of seconds so you placed yourself right next to the window and looked outide. Ponyville was pitch black but that wasn't the incredible thing. The moon on the other hand, how you had missed it. Physically it had been there every night. You just didn't pay her enough attention. You couldn't do this to the sun, as you would lose your sight in a hurry if you tried to look at it for long enough but you could watch the moon. Ahh. the moon, always the unnoticed but the prime example of a job well done. You started to compare the Princesses and their work. Luna's moon was pretty and masterly done but downright dead. Celestia's sun was lifegiving but just a ball of fire. You got up. Enough viewing of art today, and it was time to get some work done. You put your coat on and went outside.

The darkness was everywhere and you really had to wait for your eyes to adjust to the night. When that obstacle was overcome, you walked down the marked path which led away from your house. You reached Ponyville a little later. The darkness wasn't exactly gone and you were amazed of how the town looked in the night. How peaceful and all. Canterlot had a rather different look. If it weren't Manehatten style then it was a bad place to live. In other words, should some of the light not touch a building, that building would be a bad structure to live in. There would be someone there who were doing something you or any authority figure would have to stop them for.

You moved on untill you got to the library. You had to check if anything had changed. She was asleep now. No lights where on in either floors so you continued to walk. She was supposed to be protected form herself and you had been chosen to watch over her. It was a nightshift you just had to take. You walked around Ponyville, trying your best to find a nice resturant in the dark. You had to be prepared for your little date later this day. You felt you owed her something for bringing this lie into her life and this seemed like a nice thing to do. You wondered if she was going to throw you across the room if she were to find out who you were. Maybe if you talked to her and told who you were, she would understand and you both could start a new life together. Either that or the flying through room idea. Only one seemed to end where you wanted it...You flying across the room. You had introduced yourself on a lie, you had fell in love with her on a lie and if she liked you back...That was a feeling you just couldn't bear right now. You had to get some sleep before you went to the library to pick her up.

You quickly scavenged the little village and soon foound two resturants which you found appropriate to bring a mare to. The other ones seemed like either cheap or very dodgy. In this case it was very, very dodgy. You thought a plan B and put the idea into motion.

"The mare deservers to get something better than this," you thought. You moved home where you tried to get some sleep, but it was in vain. You spent the next hour or two trying to get your brain to shut down and your eyes to fall to the ground which completed the whole idea of "sleeping". After your "sleep", you got up and got some breakfast. After that it was out to knock on the door to the library. It was custom back in Canterlot to check if your 'date' was ready for the night or if she had fled the town. The latter of course being a joke...most of the times at least. You went outside with a smile in your face, ready to meet the new morning. Everything was 'jolly' as the upper-class ponies said when they tried to impress eachother with fine words.

You walked up to the library and was about to knock gently on the door when you heard voices. Now, you couldn't interrupt a conversation so you quietly placed yourself outside one of the library's many windows and overheard what the were saying.

"Of course my dear, he seems like a fine stallion for you," one mare said. You knew who she was as you recognized that talk anywhere. Now what was Rarity doing in her library? She didn't seem like the type who read books. Twilight had mentioned that she was one of her friends so you just continued to listen without thinking more of the case.

"I know, I know, It's just...," She paused. You got the impression that Rarity knew what she was doing as you started talking about love...And love making. This, on the other hand got disrupted by the lavender unicorn in a time which could seem like an academy record back in Celestia's school.

"I'm not ready for that stage yet, but how about a kiss. How does it feel like?" Rarity must have died because it got quiet. Too quiet. She then cleared her throat and told her all about how wonderful it was and the first would always be remembered as a blast in her own mind. It was very gloryfied and it seems like she bought it all. You didn't go out much but even you had kissed a few mares before. You wouldn't really recall the first incident as you had tried really hard to forget it. You kept listening to the conversation for a little while before you heard Rarity talk in a fashion that it was time for her to leave. As she was about to open the door, you posistioned yourself to seem as much innocent as ponely possible. You walked towards the library and Rarity obviously saw you. You saw her turn around and whipser something to the resident inside before looking at you again with a somewhat sly grin before she left. As you walked by she said something but you didn't catch it. It probably didn't matter anyway. You met the eyes of the mare who, rigth now, stood on the other side of the door. You were kinda lost on words after hearing a bit 'embarrasing' parts in the earlier conversation but you managed to put out a "Hey". You sounded like you were back in college, or at least would sound if you actually cared about that stuff during that time and not about reading the knowledge of defensive, offensive spells. Celestia had given you that book of spell once which now followed you like a token of greatness. It's a shame you were going to throw it when the mission was done. The symbolic value had falled by a lot during this mission and you didn't intend to keep it anymore.

"Hi," she replied. She sounded as bad as you did, probably to ease the mood.

"About later today, I would like to talk to you about it. May I come in?" You asked and she made a gesture for you that you were welcome inside the library, which still looked like a tree. You just couldn't get that out of your mind. You sat down and she placed herself at the opposit end of you.

"So, you are probably better than me in planning, by a lot," You opened. To a somehwat response from her that yelled, 'yep'.  You coninued.

"Therefor I would like to invite you with me to the 'Silent Mare' in Canterlot." You said. She looked at you, baffled.

"But that is the most expensive and prestigious places in all of Canterlot. How did you manage to get a table?" She looks at you. This was really the question which was going to nag her for some time.

"It's a secret, but will you join me?" You ask.

"Of course I will," she said before embracing you in a hug. You said your goodbyes and you left the library. You knew a pony at the "Silent Mare" which owed you a favor. The pony in the alleyway a long time ago had sent a letter and thanked you for giving him a head start and gave you a table, at anytime you wanted, for as many ponies to his resturant. You didn't get the name before you was there for a brief moment before your train left to Ponyville. You were in a shock even after you left the train.

Later that day, you came to the library and knocked. You had given her sometime to prepare before your transportation would get here. It was a cart, driven by the two best guards you knew, who also owned you a favor. Theirs was for something completly different than the resturant business, but they saddled up when you sent them a message.

You knocked on the library a few times before you were greeted by the mare who lived there and what a sight. She was wearing a beautiful dress with stars and all. You had to ask here where she got that from and the answer was of course "Rarity". You took her to the place where you had agreed to be picked up and she stopped for a second.

"Shouldn't we be going to the station. The train will leave soon," she said with a mixture of sorrow and hope. Hope that this would be better than a train ride, and sorrow that she might be let down on what seemed like her first date.

"Tell me, Ms. Sparkle, how many dates have you been on?" you looked at her while making your suit ready for impact. Her face got red.

"Well, to be honest, this is my first," she said. As red as ever. You had to make her loosen up.

"Well, Twilight, there is a first time for everything." you said while charging up a magic spell in your horn. You fired it up in the air. It was a S.O.S sign and it made the sky completly red, just above you.

"Why did you do that?" She said.

"Well, we are going to lose our train. We are in need of some assistance, yes?" You looked at her jokingly as two stallions came out the night sky and landed right next to you. You opened the door and made a gesture for her to step inside. It was a usual royal cart, but this was made to not let any wind hit you on the way. It was commonly used for transportation of people who didn't want to be messy for a party. She was amazed on how you had handled the situation and stepped inside.

"Wow," she said. "But how?"

"My dear, that is a question for another time," you replied while looking at her with a grin.

"You just worry that you will have a great nigth and I hope to deliver it to you," you said in a more serious manner.

"That shouldn't be a prolem," she said. You made a gesture to the two stallions that it was time to make haste and they made a sprint before going straight up and change in the direction towards Canterlot. This was going to be a great night.
