You woke up the following morning and packed your things and ventured back to Ponyville. The meteor shower was over and what a wonder it had been to see it. It really showed how fantastic the univers was. The walk back home was a bit better than the walk up. The reason for it was the incident that occured last night had made you two friends, if not closer. The job really made this hard as you tried to think positive about the end of this case.

"The Princess is probably just paranoid, nothing to worry about," you mumbled to yourself though you knew that the Princess rarely was wrong when she said that something would go wrong. You always had a slower pase than Twilight as you went down the mountain. Therefor you could look up and think for a second what the buck you were doing. Why did you have to become friends with this mare, join her on a field trip and finally dance with her. This weren't excactly smart though you weren't the pony who usually was known for his smart thinking. The work didn't really demand such. Though it demanded that you didn't act foolish. You hadn't done so yet. Not as much at least. All the thoughts was flying through your mind. You tried to justify how what you did was right, againts what you concluded was your rational part. You didn't really see where you walked as you slipped on some rock and hit the ground pretty hard. Fortunatly for you, you didn't fall down the entire mountain. Twilight turned as you made a wierd sound as you hit the ground. Something along the lines of a timberwolf being hit by a rock.

"Are you ok?" The mare said as she somewhat ran towards you. She helped you up as you tried your best to still look presentable.

"I'm fine, thanks," you said. You started walking, but this time she held a pase similar to yours. You were right next to eachother all the way down to the mountain and back to Ponyville. "Seems like I'm being watched to," you smiled as you enjoyed the company of this mare next to you. It seemed like the problems of work just went away as you two spoke together or was in a general distance of eachother. Then it hit you. How had you been so foolish. Once you approached Ponyville you said your goodbyes and as you turned your back she called on you.

"Ehm...Would you mind doing something like this again," she said very quietly. She didn't seem to be the very rash type of ponies and you just had to get home.

"Sure," you answered with a smile on your face to tell her that you really liked the sound that idea.

She waved at you before dissapering into the crowd. You two had returned from the expedition just about when everyone got up from their night of sleep. You could see that business even had its impact on even this small village. You saw the crowd of people running about and you almost got lost. You waited around to let it quiet down before you made your way in the direction you guessed your home was in. You did a sharp cross around the croner, one you would regret very soon as you crashed into someone. You quickly got back on your hooves but the yellow pegasus didn't seem quite so fortunate. You bent down to try to help her up.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't see where I was walking. Are you alright?" You asked as you got the mare up from the ground. It was like the crash had put her into a shock as she just stood there, completly quiet. You introduced yourself and asked again if she was "ok".

"I'm fine," she said but the words were too quiet for you to understand.

"Excuse me, I didn't catch what you were saying," you said with a more embarrasing face. You'd probably sent that poor mare in as shock. She repeated it in the same fashion as before and this time you were lucky. You managed to understand what she said and you made your excuses for the incident again and left. You had to get home quick.

You reached the house not many minutes after and you went inside and shut the door behind you. You systematically put everything in some sort of order and sat down. Not long after you put a hoof up to your face and thougth really hard on what you were doing. If your boss had found out about it you were done. You suddenly realized who your boss was and cringed. You wondered how the moon looked at this time of year. It was time to really think about your decisions. You were obviously in love and that was probably your own fault. You could've just replied in the negative when she asked you. This is what happends when you get to have a vacation styled mission. Didn't the Princess have someone else to send instead of you.  You weren't excactly top notch, atleast by your own standard. Apperantly you were as you had some achivements for the squad. You were the one they called in for a bit more dangerous cases. This, on the other hand. was seen by you as a way to kill you. Some of those criminals were insane.

You sat there for a while and thought about different things. Some seconds later it knocked on your door and you, with a wonderous look, made your way to the door. You tried to hear for any sound at all, but you didn't hear a thing. You suddenly realized that this wasn't Canterlot and you opened the door. In Canterlot there was a problem regarding just that and burglars. You set your eyes to whoever could knock on your door and found out that it was none other than the pony you had knocked into on your way home. The mare you had thought was in a shock was now at your doorstep. One could say this was a quick return.

"Um..Hi?" You said, trying to see if she was talking. Would the situation be as it was earlier then one should be ready to sharpen ones ears.

The yellow pegasus tried to speak up but her words faded before they could reach you. You made a gesture that you couldn't hear what she was saying and on que, a little white rabbit jumped up beside her. He or maybe a she, you weren't so good with animal races, made a slight annoyed push and seemed to be actually speaking with her. Now that was quite remarkable. It was either that or you were easily impressed. Animals weren't so common in Canterlot and the only few who came in was for show only. When the rabbit made contact with her she lit up. Like something had suddenly changed and she weren't so shy anymore.

"Um, yes, I wanted to return this to you," she said while holding a card in your direction. It took a while before you realized what it was and when you did, you snatched the card from her, making the pegasus jump back in fear.

"Sorry, I just got shocked when you showed me the card," you said while helping her up. "Where did you find it?" you asked when she got up from ground.

"Um, I found it when we bumped into eachother earlier. Sorry about that," She replied. She didn't even try to blame this on you, as it was clearly all your fault, but she rather put the blame on herself. You were astonished as how this mare acted. If it weren't for the fact that you were in a small village, you would have arrested her by now, suspecting her for something because that just isn't normal. Though you had already come over the fact that this wasn't Canterlot. People here was nice in general and not just because they wanted to scam, backstab, steal or arson something. The latter weren't something exactly funny.

"Ok, well thank you for returning the card, hope it wasn't too much of a worry," you thanked her. At that point she lit up more than when the rabbit kicked her and responded.

"No problem, I live just over there," she explained while pointing at the direction leading further out of town. You could see the house a little further down. A small cottage. She was sort of you neighbour even though you weren't exactly close to eachother. You thanked her again for bringing back you bleonging and you shut the door as she walked outside again.

You quickly bashed your head againts the wall. The wall weren't very thick so you could do so without causing much pain to either parts. The card she gave you was an identification. It said who you were. Not the pony arriving in Ponyville but rather the unicorn who had taken the job to spy upon one if its citizens. How could you be so foolish? You had brought it with you up in case of an "incident" but you probably packed it far too unconcealed so when you bumped into her at the market, it fell off from your bag. The blame was all yours as you should have packed it way better. Hopefully she hadn't read anything or knew Twiligth Sparkle. That would be a giant setback or even jeopardize the whole mission. You had to think about this for a second before you flung your coat on and rushed out the door to catch up with the pink haired peagasus. Hopefully you managed  to catch up with her before she got home.

You caught up with her just as she was about to enter the cottage. She must have heard you coming because she turned around and faced in your direction. You had to make yourself heard so you made extra noice as your hooves hit the ground. You stopped for a moment to catch your breath before you started to talk.

"Did you by any chance read the card?" You quickly said. The mare just looked at you a little confused. Well who could blame her. You tried to explain it.

"It was some vitale information on it, and it shouldn't be allowed for anyone to see. There's no worries on your part though," you said, formulating the question to sound a little better. The poor thing could've gotten into a bigger shock than the last time.

"Y-yyes," she said with a shy voice. She reminded you of a mare you had known back in the city. She always tried to be as innocent as possible. You were friends with her when you both studied but she dropped out when it became hard. She is at this point either in jail or in Canterlot, trying to steal the money of innocent bystanders. A shame really.

"Well, ok, no problems. I just need you to keep this a secret between the two of us. Could that be arrangeable?" You talked like you were back in Canterlot. Information or the lack of it to the wrong sources usually had its cost. You talked like you were ready to make a deal but she just nodded and went inside her little cottage, just as the conversation had never taken place. You read it as her word of not telling anyone and you smiled as you turned and went back to your little house.

She would probably never make the entire connecting with just that card, but you couldn't take any risks. If she knew Twilight and they talked about the new pony in town who turned out to be a lot different from view to view, things would get really bad. In Twilights eyes you were nothing but a boring librarian but the facts that was exposed about you told an entire different story. You shut the door behind you and walked slowly up to your room. You lay down on the bed before closing your eyes. Today had been a hard day and even though it was still "morning" for some, you had to sleep. You had done too many things today you were going to regret someday and you wouldn't like to do another. Just as you thought of it,  it knocked on the door again.

One couldn't be mad at whoever it was for "waking" you. It weren't exactly night and everypony was still expected to be up. You opened the door and to your surprise, the mare in question was right there. Twilight Sparkle stood there. She seemed cold so you invited her in. She quickly rejected your polite invite and instead asked a wierd question.

"About the thing you said when we were alone..." She stopped. It was obviously hard for her to talk about so you knew what it was all about.

"About the date?" The word "date" triggered something and she continued.

"Yes...I was just wondering if we could go on one...together." She was really bad at this. Even you, the non social pony from Canterlot could do better. Well, you couldn't complain, she was the one to ask.

"Surely, I'll pick you up tomorrow and we could go some place, maybe have a meal together," You said in a more questioning way. You were still unsure if you wanted to be the one in charge of those decisions. She was better known in the area and she was a pony who needed system it seemed. Therefor you added "If that is okey for you?" After a while.

"Yes, that sounds great," she said as she walked away with a slight embarrased face. That demanded guts from someone like her and you just had to respect that. You waved at her before going inside again.

You lay down on the bed again and thought for yourself. The decision to involve or not had become too big. You had to decide if you should dive into her life or not. Perhaps it was already too late, you had just agreed on going on a date with her. Seemed  like you had to finish the fight.
