I sigh, pushing myself away from the typewriter. Causing my chair to roll across my apartment. I don't know why I agreed to writing an autobiography. Celestia said it'll get others into what I do. But Who'd want to do what I go? Study the skeletal system for hours, hoping to get a clue on anything useful. cleaning up Equestria of those who would ruin the 'public image' as the job description says. The image where 'everyone is equal and friendship solves everything'. What doesn't represent that image is what I clean out, cover up. But mostly murder. There's another department for arson and crap.
An autobiography of my life would catch more attention as a picture book than an actual book. The only thing other ponies would be interested in is the amount of times I've been kidnapped and tortured. Rape has never happened, thank Celestia.
I continue to roll around my apartment, propelling myself around with a flap of my left wing, then right, then left, then right, ECT. I manege to get back to my typewriter and I focus again.
My name is Andreah Reigns, My mane and tail are blood red, my coat a Chestnut brown, and my eyes green/brown. My cutie Mark is a Pony skull with a written on, wavey piece of paper behind the skull. And I study skeletons for a living.
"Done!" I yell.
"Doesn't look done to me." Somepony comments from behind me. I jump out of my seat and instinctively flap my wings. Hitting my head on the ceiling than falling to the floor. I continue to lay there, rubbing the top of my skull.
"And I thought the flower sisters in Ponyville were overdramatic." The mystery pony states, walking closer and sticking out a hoof. I look at the hoof and emediatly recognize the colour.
"DAMMIT SILVER!" I yell, flapping my wings, lifting myself into a sitting position. I smack away his hoof. "I gave you a key in case I locked myself out again. As to prevent, unwanted results." I say, recalling an event that accedently let me to sleeping with Silver a couple of months ago."NOT for you to get in with when you feel like it." I scolded him.
"I announced myself as I walked in. But you where staring lasers through the poor typewriter." He says.
"Do you have a purpose here?" I ask, standing up and walking back to my chair. Sitting in it I say "Because I have this day off, and it's nice when nopony is jumping off the walls." I say, rolling back to my writer.
"Yes, I do have a purpose here." He says, walking over to my couch and sitting down. "Chief Note told me to come and grab you from your day off. We have a skeleton in in a basement. The Canterlot police are already there, I think they're gonna start baggin' and taggin'." He says.
"Dammit!" I yell, jumping up from my chair. I run over to my couch and pick up my black trench coat. I throw it on, carefully putting my wings through their designated holes. "They're gonna miss some things and fuck up the scene!" I tell running out the door. Silver stands up.
"You don't even know where your going!" I hear him tell from my apartment. I stop my running, turn around to the door and wait for him.
"Then....... Let's go together...." I say, ashamed.
"Let's go."
"This it?" I ask Silver, pointing to a house that looks like it was thrown together. "It's gonna fall apart any second." I tell him.
"Well than let's hurry." He tells me, walking up to the door. I follow him in, to a stair case, and we walk down. I look around the basement, I see industrial lights, a few ponies here and there, all looking towards the single skull right in the middle of the basement.
"Nopony's messing with the scene. Why did you say so?" I ask Silver. Getting to the bottom of the stairs. I follow him over to over of the lights before he responds.
"Only way to get you to come so quick." He says with a smirk on his face.
"You son of a-"
"Miss Reigns! Glad to see you made it!" One of the ponies down here says to me. I turn to see the chief of police, chief badge. "I know you hate it when others start to mess with the scene, so I told them to do nothing." He tells me
"Thank you sir. You brought my tools?" I ask. All police departments have a set of my tools, which it a floppy brush, a trowel, a screen usually used for gold panning, and bags.
"Of coarse Miss Reigns. Right over there." He says, gesturing to a box over in the corner.
"Perfect. Thank you." I give him a nod, then turn to Silver. "I need you to go and find the latest owner of the house. See if we can ask them a few questions." I demand. "I guess I'll get to work." I tell him.
I walk over and pick up the box, put it on my back, keeping it there with my wings. I walk over to the skull. I place the box a couple hands away from it, and take out the trowel and brush. I carefully remove the skull and place it on a tray that was also in the box. I gesture for somepony to come and grab it. The pony that did was wearing police fatigues. I turn my attention back down to the dirt in front of me. It takes me the hours to successfully remove all remains from the dirt. Everytime I get a bone, I place it on the tray, or if it's small enough, in one of the bags. With all remains out, I dig a bit deeper to be sure there aren't anymore. Once satisfied at there not being any more bones, I put my tools back into the box and stand up. I walk over to Chief badge and tell him there are no more bones to worry about. I leave the basement and head towards RCIS headquarters.
I tell myself: "now, to examine those bones, and see what they can tell us!"
