Denise Hartman's life is jacked up.

Just out of a two-year stint in prison, she's heartbroken, penniless, and addicted to morphine. Severing her ties with her old friends and enemies, she relocates to Buffalo, New York, making fast friends with Conrad Davidson, her British-American roommate. The two keep themselves financially afloat through odd jobs (and occasional marijuana dealing), but they don't exactly have it made. So, when a soft-spoken stranger comes to them offering a fulfilling job in an exotic locale, how could they refuse?

Of course, neither of them are the type to read the fine print- and now their whole world is about to turn upside down.
