Chapter one: Baking is dangerous

It was a regular sunny day in Ponyville. The young ponies at school, older ponies at work, doing their daily duties. Twilight was studying her books in the library as usual. Then she hears a scream outside. Instinctively, she walks outside and towards the scream to find out it’s origin and for what reason. She then approaches the bakery, at this moment she starts to believe that it’s just Pinkie Pie overreacting to something silly. Then, Rarity runs out of the bakery, Twilight now recognizes the scream she heard earlier, but something is different about Rarity… she’s covered in blood. Rarity quickly runs over to Twilight and exclaims, “Oh Twilight, you MUST come see what has happened to our beloved Pinkie!” Twilight is soon overcome with fear about what could have happened happened to her pink friend. As Twilight approached the door she paused, terrified of what she’ll see. Eventually she works up the courage to open the door with one eye closed and the other just barely cracking open. At the moment the purple pony catches a glimpse of her friend she opens both eyes, pupils as small a pebble, mouth opened wide, jaw dropped to the floor. What she was seeing in front of her was the absolute last thing she wanted to see. Her friend Pinkie Pie, had been murdered.

Twilight turned to Rarity and screamed “Get Princess Celestia and tell her of this immediately!,” as she looked at a even more shocked Rarity, “NOW!!” she screamed a second time, as if the white, scared pony wasn’t fast enough. Twilight once again looked at her dead friend, now overcome with sadness. She was baffled by the horror. Pinkie’s eyes were missing, ripped out, her mouth, stuffed with cake, all of her hooves, tied up on the beams of the bakery, her intestines were pulled out of her body, some organs were missing. Without even thinking, Twilight walks into the bakery as a crowd starts gathering around the bakery. Suddenly Twilight gasps at what she sees, it was a riddle and a assortment of numbers written in pinkies blood, it reads, “To find the next location of this operation, use your writing and math to your advantage. By the way, some more information that might be useful for you, I will never strike in the same month.” below this riddle reads the numbers, “19, 3, 8, 13, 13, 11.” Then, Princess Celestia appears with Rarity, both panicking. Celestia quickly darts at Twilight asking her what happened. Twilight ,scared out of her mind, replies, “I was in the library, studying, and I heard Rarity scream. I went to find out why and Rarity ran out of the bakery, making me go inside to see what had happened. Then we found Pinkie dead. I also found this writing on the wall,” as the frightened purple pony points to the riddle, “ I think it’s a code, and think I know how to solve it.” Twilight says. Celestia looks at Rarity to see if this is true, and she agrees it is. Celestia then turns back to Twilight and asks her, “Well what do you think it says?” Twilight stares at the wall and begins to count by stomping her hoove on the ground, while also singing her alphabet. Celestia becomes angered by the confusion of what she’s watching and screams “What the hay are doing Twilight?!” Twilight then turns and screams back at the Princess, “I’m solving this puzzle like you said to!” ,quickly realizing who she had just shouted at she bows her head and pleads for forgiveness. Celestia understands that Twilight is scared so lets her pass this time as Twilight continues what she was doing. After a minute or so, Twilight turns to Princess Celestia and says, “We may be in trouble.” Confused Princess Celestia asks why. Twilight replies with, “The code says it’s going to be at the school.”
