War of Survival

*Outpost 23, North of Galloping Gorge*

Outpost 23 was one of the many forts on the borderlands of Equestria. Mostly it's a quiet and boring place so the soldiers there aren't active, but when the words about the war with a barbaric race called the Yetis reached out to their ears, the soldiers began to pay attention and take their duty more seriously.

On the stockade of the fort, two Equestrian soldiers, a Earth Pony and a Pegasus, were on watch that night. It seemed like a normal night at Outpost 23: nothing going on at all. But they are not to be fooled, when they heard about the fall of Yakyakistan and the Crystal Empire they were nervous about what would happen if the barbarians would invade them.

"So far, so good." said the earth pony nervously. He was red in color with a green mane and tail. His cutie mark was of a gate with two spears crossed in front of it. His fellow guard was yellow in color with a light blue mane and tail. His cutie mark was a pair of binoculars over a chess rook. The Pegasus looked at the Earth pony.

"Yeah, but for how long? I haven't seen a 'Yeti' before so we don't know what they looked like." He said with a little worries.

"If these monsters could conquer the Crystal Empire and Yakyakistan, what chance do we have against them?" the earth pony asked his friend.

"Perhaps they were just lucky and our allies were just unprepared. But still we must stay alert, if we wants to keep our home safe we must fight these freaks." the pegasus guard told him.

Still nervous but stood guard, those two are sure they will do their duty. After 45 minutes of guarding, came snowfall to the camp. The little snowfall in short time turned into a blizzard and that's got every guards attention as they all were walking/running around the camp and wondered where the blizzard came from. Many of them looked in the sky to see if there were pegasii who was just pulling a prank on them only for the soldiers to see that there were none.

"Where the buck does this snow come from!?" A Unicorn captain shout out to his soldiers in anger and confusion. Only to recieve no answer from them. After a short time, the fort wall began to make some wood cracking sounds before the wall itself fell down on the ground, everything on the wall fell down; the towers, the gate, everything. That cause every soldier there to take up their weapons and be alarmed.

As they all take position and make formation, the unicorn captain with his fancy halberd looked around, through the blizzard to see what is happening. Not too long he saw a mysterious figure comming from the blizzard fog, as he came closer he was joined by other figures very similar to him. Not too long it is revealed that they are adorned in dark-grey armor and wielding axes and swords, they all appear out of the mist like ghosts and he could see the parts that was not covered in armor; like some parts of the arms, legs and around the stomach have snow-white fur. Only then do the Equestrian force realize that they are the enemies as they starting to panic as the Yeti marauders are joined by Dire Wolves, Rot Wendigoes and Ice Wraiths next to them and was getting closer.

"Forward, soldiers of Equestria! FIGHT FOR YOUR LIVES!" The unicorn captain cried out as he lead a charge straight through them, trying to take out a Yeti he was attacked by three Ice Wraiths who will keep him busy while the Yeti marauders of chaos are cutting down every pony guard they meet, the Equestrian soldiers were easily overpowered and the unicorn captain found himself surrounded and was struck from behind by a mace. As his vision began to blur, he could do nothing but helplessly watch as his soldiers were slaughtered one by one when out of the mist came a Yeti with a dread-looking claymore in his hand towards him, raising it over his head and bring it down on the captain; killed him in the progress.

*Refugees Camp, Neighagra Falls*

Things do not look so good for the Crystal Ponies and the Yaks. All their homes are destroyed and it's all because of this 'Hercules' of the Yeti race living right next door. This was really bad for them. Sure they get food and supplies from Equestria and other nations and they may have an entire army in case of an attack. Shining Armor, Princess Cadence and the Yak's newly elected leader, Mormash, attented to the refugees of their kingdoms.

"This is just terrible, for all of us." Princess Cadence said as she held Flurry Heart in her arms and walks with her husband and the Yak leader.

"Indeed Cadence, our homes, all stolen by Hercules and his barbarian minions." Shining Armor joined in, with a hint of anger.

"Who does these freaks think they are, comming around and take what they want with unfair justification and false accusations!? They have no right to steal our homes like they owned it!" Mormash said in sadness and anger.

"We don't know if their accusations are false, for all we know it is the only explanation for this to happened. What other reasons are there for attacking us than retaliation?" Princess Cadence said to the Yak who's still angry.

"WHAT other reasons are there!? How about wanting just more land!? How about for sport or how about the leader is a power hungry tyrant!? HOW about...." The Yak leader out of anger criticize Cadence but stopped when he realized he's wrongfully took his anger out on her. Soon he calmed down a bit.

"Forgive me anger, I... I shouldn't have taken it out on you." Mormash said with his head down in shame. Princess Cadence placed her hand on his right shoulder to show him forgiveness.

"But still, Cadence, how comes that you act like you're defending them?" Shining Armor ask his wife with worries and disappointment.

"If things like the one the Yetis claimed has happened to them has happened to us, what would we do? What would you do? or the Griffons or Minotaurs? If something similiar happened to anyone of us nations as the Yetis claimed happened to them, how would we have reacted?" Princess Cadence reasoned with them, who begins to pay attention to her.

"The Yetis has no other reasons to attack anyone without something to justify it with, since Hercules is a king who looks after his subjects like we do, like aunty Celestia and Luna do, it could be true. For what if.. these accusations... are true..." Princess Cadence kept trying to find a reason behind King Hercules' actions. Shining Armor and Mormash didn't like it at all, but nevertheless as they paied attention to Cadence they began to rethink the whole conflict.

Not too long, the refugees camp was joined up by a blizzard. A blizzard that make everypony freeze and quickly turned the waterfalls into ice. Shining Armor, Princess Cadence and Mormash immediately recognized the blizzard as they have seen it in the Crystal Empire, they knows that means only one thing.

"YETIS!! THE YETIS HAS COME!!!!" Mormash yelled out so loud that all in the refugees camp could hear it and began to run for their lives. Every soldier from Equestria, Crystal Empire and Yakyakistan began to rally around their leaders to fight to protect the refugees.

"You two get the hell out of here, now!!!" Mormash told Shining Armor and Princess Cadence, to their disagreement.

"WHAT, no way we are leaving you behind!!" Shining Armor said out loud to the Yak leader.

"Without you two, the refugees will be without protection and your child would be without parents!" Mormash argued back at them. Shining Armor wants to argue back but couldn't find any words to say now that he mentioned the refugees and his daughter, Flurry Heart.

"SCRAM!!!!" The Yak leader yelled out at them as they began to run.

While they all were running, Mormash rally all the troops to form a defensive line to protect the refugees at all cost. After a minute, the ground exploded and from it came a 12-17 feet tall Frost Troll with two war clubs in it's hands. As it saw the pony and yak soldiers in front of it, the Frost Troll began to swing it's war clubs around at them, sending the soldiers flying around. It didn't take long for Mormash to be hit by one of it's war club. He fell to the snowy ground with dizziness and when he tried to get up with it, only for a minute til the Yeti horde charge and the Yak leader was both kicked back down on the ground and was hacked down by three Yeti marauders, killed him. The Yeti horde keep swarming and overrun the refugees camp as the banner of Yetiheim was raised by a Yeti who roared in victory.

*Rainbow Falls*

A beautiful place with rainbow-colored waterfalls, but also has a handful of dwellings and a training course for holding the Equestria Games tryouts. The village holds an annual Traders Exchange for some time. Now since the words about the Yeti conquest of the Crystal Empire and Yakyakistan reached everypony's ears, it's been filled with soldiers to protect it, not just Equestrian soldiers but also Minotaurs, Griffons, Changelings and Dragons came to help.

The soldiers helped building up defences for an invasion, the Equestrians and the Minotaurs took care of the ground forces while the Changelings, the Griffons and the Dragons handle the air forces due to their ability to fly. The civilians were worried as hell since the soldiers talks about some kind of invasion in their homes. Some of the civilians decided to move until the situation is over while others stayed.

The defenders had everything they needed to defend the place; weapons, armors, supplies, fortifications, enchantments, shield spell and other kinds of barriers to prevent an invasion. The only thing that they don't have is the knowledge about when the attack will come and how the enemies would approach. For all they know, the Yeti race is completely new to them and they know almost nothing about them. The only way the Yetis would invade the place on foot is through the train bridges and tunnels, which are barricaded and blocked so charging though them would be impossible and as far as they know the Yetis can't fly.

After a few hours of waiting and watching, came a strong snow blizzard that was so cold that the rainbow-colored waterfalls quickly turned to solid ice. The soldiers and the civilians didn't had any winter clothes on them so they all quickly shacking violently. Worst of all, the Changelings and Dragons aren't build for cold and snow so it effected them much worse, a few of them died in mere seconds by the cold. The wind was so strong the Griffons and the Pegasus guards had it very hard to fly correctly.

During the chaos of the uncontrollable blizzard, from the mountains came what looks like soild ice comming towards the edge of the town, forming strong bridges. Once they are formed, the earth shake rapidly and soon all the soldiers of Rainbow Falls will know why.

From above the ice bridges came the Yeti marauders wearing ironclad armor, armed with weapons of many kinds and charging down with their war beasts next to them. Racing down at them like a horde of locusts, roaring their war cries with their weapons raised. While it happens, the defenders were busy trying to form a line of defense against the on-rushing enemy.

The Yeti charge also brought alot of arrows and attack spells into the formation. Both the extreme cold (since the defenders didn't have propper clothes) and the powerful impact of the arrows and spells attacks cause the whole line of soldiers to fall down. Once the Yeti horde came in close combat with the defenders, they quickly smashed through and took out alot of the defenders with ease.

It only took them mere seconds before the defenders began to shatter and flee from the battlefield. The defenders had no way of escaping because of the powerful blizzard, the battle was over... The Yetis won.

*Yetiheim, in the throne of stone, King Hercules' bedroom*

After a long beauty sleep, King Hercules slowly opened his eyes as he entered the waking world once more. He rubbed his eyes softly with hands and found that female creature laying on his chest with her head next to his and hair was draped over his face. He brushed her oily and strangely cyan hair off from his face and.... WAIT A MINUTE, WHAT!!!!??? King Hercules' eyes became a big as plates and was shocked to the core. This female creature was another equine but she had a green insect like carapace on her abdomen. There were no fur on her body. Her arms and legs had holes in them. Even in her wings and her horn looked crooked.

A million questions came across Hercules' head while he didn't even move since she was still sleeping on him, atop of his body with a firm grip around him. He still didn't move since he wonder if she came in peace or came for his assasination cause if she wanted him dead, he would have blood over his body and she wouldn't be here. After a few seconds of thinking rapidly about this, she slowly opened her eyes and let out a big yawn.

“Yaaaaaawn, what a sweet dream~" she said purring, licking her lips and a strange green aura being drawn from him to her mouth.

"Wow, who would have thought I would feel this taste again." She said in a lustful tone, soon she looked up and saw the huge eyes of the Yeti King and knows that he was awaken, making the female creature chuckle.

Oh, right. Sorry my little ape, I couldn’t help but to sleep, your fur is sooo soft it's irresistible. Buuuut, I guess the cats out of the bag now. Just so you know this, if I was your enemy I would have killed you in your sleep." She pressed herself a little closer to him, making the Yeti hard to breath a little. Her breasts were pressed tight against chest and even he could feel it.

"What are you doing here? And why?" It was all Hercules could ask since he dosen't know if she was an friend or foe. That cause her to bring her head closer to his, so that their noses touches each other.

"The enemy of my enemy... is my friend~" She said as she smiled slyly and licked her lips. This cause Hercules to think what she could possible mean.

"The Equestrians, they're your enemies." King Hercules realized why she is here, she want to make an alliance. She began to take a more serious face when she began to explain futher.

"As well as that traitor, Thorax. He betrayed me and stole my hive from me. He has turned all of my subjects against me. I so thirst for vengance for what both he and that cursed pony, Starlight Glimmer did to me. All I did was trying to help my race survive. The world hated us just because we were so different, our way of feeding is also what cause us to be rejected." She said in both anger and sadness as she laid her head next to his and tighten her grip on him.

"Then Thorax came and with the help of a certain pony name Starlight Glimmer, they turned all my subjects into abominations and turned them against me, becoming willing slaves to Equestria. I had to flee to find a way to have my vengance on them." She said in a determined tone before she looked at Hercules with a slyly smile as she licked her lips and placed her hand in his cheek.

"And I noticed that the Equestrians and their pawns had done to you and your subjects. Now they are 'our' enemies and I think it only make sense that if they unite against you we can unite against them." she said, smiling and messing up his fur.

"Kind of make sense, but why in this approach?" King Hercules asked with a face that calls her stupid.

"Isn't it better than being attack and killed for your appearance?" She said as she cuddle next to him, purring more clearly. She nuzzled his cheek and smiled happily.

"I suppose it make more sense, but I must know this. Who is my ally?" He asked her as she began to lift herself up a little in a straddling position.

"Deary... I'm Chrysalis, Queen of the Changelings.~” She said with a lust filled voice, giving him a sly smirk and half lidded eyes.
