I said “Spike, can you go to get me some more quills from, Quills and Sofas. I have so much zoning paperwork to do involving Cara and Applejack’s hive.”

Spike said “I will, I also got to deliver this ruby to Rarity. I have been careful purifying over the past month.”

I smiled “Wish you luck Spike.”

He smiled back “Thanks Twilight.” I decided to head to the library, a good book to help me relax. I trotted down the corridors to the library, I thought (Hmm, what to read?) I looked over the massive shelf I smiled (Starswirl’s Book on transmutation perfect.) I began reading.

I heard a familiar voice shout “Twilight!” I put the book back and galloped out of the Library.

Twilight saw Cadence standing there. Twilight asked “Cadence, what is the matter?”

Cadence shouted “Changelings are in Equestria, we need to do something.”

Twilight frowned “Why?”

Cadence shouted “Because they are going to take over Equestria, they already got Celestia and Luna.”

Twilight sighed “There is nothing wrong, they are not causing any harm.”

Cadence eyes widened “They already got you, I need to get to the Empire and warn them.”

Twilight slapped her “Get a hold of yourself, the Changelings are no threat. Now calm down will you.”

Cadence said “But they have caused us so much harm.”

Twilight told her firmly “Applejack is one of the Queens, she is the bearer of Honesty and my good friend, I have faith in her, you should too.”

Cadence stammered “B-but…”

Twilight snarled “Where is the Cadence, the kind loving mare I knew? When did she get replaced by a mare whose so prejudice against another because of who they are?”

Cadence eyes widened at the statement. She sighed “Twilight, I’m sorry. I’ll leave now.”

Twilight frowned “No I will show you the glory of their hive and what they have produced.”

Twilight teleported the pair to the entrance of the Hive. Twilight smiled as she entered the hive. Cadence shuddered as she entered a place she always feared. She was shocked came by what she saw, changelings and even a few ponies were running shops. Several ponies were chatting to changelings, a changeling smiled at Twilight.

Twilight said to the changeling “Good morning Filthy Rich.”

Filthy Rich smiled “Good Morning Twilight.”

Twilight asked “How’s your daughter going?”

Filthy Rich smiled “Good now that she’s amongst her own kind.”

Twilight said “Well I wish you a good day, I am just showing my sister in law around.”

Cadence asked as they trotted further into the hive. “Filthy Rich one of the mots successful Earth Pony business ponies is actually a changeling.”

Twilight said “Not originally, Diamond Tiara was always a changeling, she was left on their doorstep as a filly.”

Cadence asked “How did they not notice?”

Twilight replied “Filthy Rich did, why do you think she always wore that tiara?”

Cadence said “It was enchanted.” Twilight nodded as they arrived at the hatchery.

Several hatchlings smiled as they ran up to Twilight. They said “Twilit please tell us a stowy.”

Twilight smiled “Well let’s start, long ago there was two sisters, one who raised the sun and the other who raised the moon….”

Cadence watched as the young hatchlings soaked up Twilight’s story with the same energy Twilight had when she told her stories. Cadence thought (This is nice, I have to inform Shining. I think we have made a mistake.)

Cadence said “Twilight I need to inform Shining, this place is beautiful and I was wrong. These young hatchlings remind of you when you were younger.”

*****Later that Afternoon in the Crystal Empire****

Shining Armour was sitting there listening to another Crystal Ponies’ petition when a messenger arrived. The messenger said “A message from you wife sir.”

Shining Armour said “Very well, I need to read this in private it may be important.” He returned to his room, Shining opened the letter.

Dear Shining, the love of my life

We were wrong, Twilight took me to Applejack’s and Cara’s Hive and they were so similar to us, they had a fully functioning town square with ponies and changelings living in harmony. I even got to see the Hatchery, they reminded me so much of young Twilight. We have let the past blind us.

Shining Armour scowled at the mirror “So they got you too have they, I will make them all pay!” He smashed the mirror, he however didn’t notice the faint purple trails coming out of his eyes.

I've read so many stories where Cadence went bad becasue of Changelings so I thought I'd do the opposite.
