As they always say, "Friendship is Magic". But not in this case with this certain male unicorn named Nova Bright. He's pretty good as his magic skills but socially awkward with other ponies and had a very hard time making friends let alone getting a decent job, especially most of the ponies in Canterlot. Their high standards makes it quite a challenge for him in order to make even a single friend.

However, Nova is not a kind of pony to lose hope, thanks to his teachers and his mentors in his past.
He eventually found a place called Ponyville. A small town full of friendly ponies there, if his assumptions were right. When he finally settles down, he discovers that friendship is a lot more than just making friends and telling jokes. After all, when the friendship were made, anything is possible.

Story takes place between season 6 and 7.
