Chapters Meadow woke up with a beaming smile as she jumped out of bed and grabbed her suitcase. She made up her bed and put her suitcase on the bed. She then walked into the restroom and took a shower. When Meadow was done getting ready she levitated her suitcase with her to the next room. She saw Sweet-Song Ballad walk out of her room holding her suitcase…..and with her cloak on.
Meadow shook her head,
“Mum you don’t need to wear your cloak. Everypony in Canterlot knows what you look like.” She said. Sweet-Song blushed,
“Yes but nopony in Applewood knows what I look like. And I don’t want them to be staring and judging me.” She replied. Meadow sighed,
“Okay.” She said with a shrug. “Oh and you did drop Cream Cake off at the castle right?” Meadow nodded.
“Yep!” She said, Sweet-Song smiled as her and her daughter left the house. She locked the door and her and Meadow made their way to the Canterlot train station. They got on without a hitch and found their seats,
“Are you excited to go to Applewood?” Meadow asked. Sweet-Song shrugged,
“Sorta.” She said.
“Just wait until you get there!” Meadow said, “Your going to love it!” Sweet-Song again shrugged. It took a few hours for the train to get to Applewood. But when it did Meadow was quick to run towards the exit. Sweet-Song followed at a much slower pace once she got off the train. She put her hood on; and stared in wonder at the city in front of her. Unfortulently the joy soon disappeared as Sweet-Song realized Meadow was missing.
The mare began to panic as she looked around for her daughter. She started galloping through the train until she eventually saw Meadow’s tail through the crowds of ponies. Sweet-Song shook realizing how many ponies there we’re; not to mention that Meadow could get lost. She wanted to cry out for Meadow but she felt her mouth clamp shut with all the ponies around. Sweet-Song trotted after her until she bumped into somepony.
She looked up and saw when my eye’s adjusted I looked up. And Sweet-Song saw a very tall unicorn walk into the room. The new mares horn was almost as long as Princess Celestia's. She had a cream strawberry mane that was in a beehive. Her coat was a pale blue, and her ears we're big and fluffy while her eye's we're a dark blue with long eye lashes.
She didn’t have any clothes on. As her cutiemark was a filming camera with a smiling pony face and frowning on top of it. It was the one and only Star-Studded Ovation. Sweet-Song blushed a deep red,
“Oh sorry dearie are you alright?” Star-Studded said.
“I-I’m fine! Sorry I wasn’t looking where I was going.” Sweet-Song rambled,
“It’s quite alright mistakes happen.” Star-Studded replied. As she helped Sweet-Song up, the mare in question was shaking. As she was terrified and nervous around the taller mare.
“Mum! Mum! Where are you?” Meadows voice rang through the crowd, she then busted through and landed right in between the mares.
“There you are! Are you alright?” Meadow asked, Sweet-Song nodded. “And hi Star-Studded!”
“You know her!?” Star-Studded and Sweet-Song said, Meadow laughed.
“Yep!” Both mares had a raised eyebrow,
“How do you know seven year Emmie Award Winning mare Star-Studded Ovation?” Sweet-Song said.
“What she said except the “seven year Emmie Award Winning mare Star-Studded Ovation” part. I thought you we’re an orphan.” Star-Studded said, Meadow and Sweet-Song blushed.
“I met her when me and my friends went after Binkey after he ran away. And Sweet-Song….she adopted me.” Meadow said with a shy grin, Star-Studded smiled.
“That’s sweet! How about we get to know each other more? I know a restaurant close by here.” She offered, Sweet-Song wanted a politely decline. But Meadow spoke before her,
“Sure! You don’t mind do ya mum?” She asked. Meadow and Star-Studded looked at Sweet-Song. The mare blushed and smiled nervously,
“Of course I don’t mind.” She said.
“Wonderful! Let’s go!” Star-Studded said, Sweet-Song gulped as she found it hard to move. Meadow noticed this and walked along beside her. As she used her magic to push her mother along.
The three we’re now at the restaurant “Opening Lights” as Sweet-Song, Star-Studded and Meadow we’re eating their own meals at a booth table. They we’re just finishing up as Meadow walked off for the little fillies room. Leaving Sweet-Song a nervous wreak,
“I have to admit I would’ve taken you as an adoptive mother! I’m so proud of ponies willing to sacrifice a bit of themselves to raise a child!” Star-Studded said cheerfully. Sweet-Song nodded with a nervous grin on her mussle, “So how did you and Meadow meet and what’s your cutiemark? I haven’t see it with that cloak on.” The cloaked mare gulped. Wondering if she could even talk correctly, Star-Studded immediately took notice.
“You alright? You don’t look so good.” She asked, Sweet-Song felt as if her mouth had been through a desert. As blush spread from her cheeks to her mussle,
“I-I’m fine. Ju-Ju-Just ti-tired.” She said. Star-Studded raised an eyebrow,
“Your sure cause it seems to me your lying. Believe me you sound like an amateur actor with stage fright. On stage in front of a stadium of ponies…..with a spot light beaming down on you.” She said. Sweet-Song was about to come up with an excuse until Meadow came back.
“So how are you two getting along?” She said, Sweet-Song put on a more convincing grin. While Star-Studded lowered her suspicious and gave a bubbly grin.
“Just great! You and Sweet-Song here are like two peas in a pod!” She said, Meadow giggled.
“Well I’m glad you two are getting along why don’t we—” She said until, Sweet-Song jumped in.
“But it’s getting late and we still need to find a place to stay and unpack our bags! So we should really be going! Besides we don’t want to be a bother!” She said, Star-Studded again raised an eyebrow. “And my little daisy needs to get plenty of rest. Growing fillies need that after all.” Sweet-Song then paid the bill and quickly got her and Meadow out of the restaurant. Star-Studded ears flickered in curiosity. As a smile grew on her face, ‘If there’s one thing I love more than acting it’s a mystery!’ She thought. She then left a very generous tip and walked her way out of the restaurant.
Meanwhile Sweet-Song was leading Meadow to the nearest (and cleanest) hotel nearby. But as she walked she couldn’t help but think. ‘What is wrong with me?’
Star-Studded was sleeping peacefully as the sun rose and brought light to the world. The unicorn yawned as she stretched and got out of bed. Her thoughts immediately turned to Sweet-Song as blush appeared on her face. She had to admit she was very curious about the mare. Star-Studded levitated over her planner and went through it.
The only thing she had to do was study her lines for the newest episode of Celestia All Mighty. She had it set later but she decided it wouldn’t hurt to study them now. And try to figure out this mystery with Sweet-Song
Sweet-Song and Meadow we’re eating breakfast; or at least Meadow was. For some reason her mother was just playing with the food on her plate. She looked deep in thought as she lacked her cloak. Being in the safety of her and Meadow's hotel room of course,
“Mum? You okay?” Meadow asked. Sweet-Song didn’t respond, now her daughter was starting to get worried. “Mum!” She said a bit louder, but still the older unicorn didn’t respond. Meadow tool a deep breathe and screamed, “MUM! ” Finally that snapped Sweet-Song out of her daze.
“H-Huh?” She said blush coming to her face, Meadow got up and put a good to her mom’s forehead. She almost immediately pulled back,
“Do you feel okay? It feels as if you have a fever.” Meadow said. Sweet-Song blushed redder,
“I’m fine…..I’m….just thinking.” She said. Her daughter had a raised eyebrow but shrugged it off.
“Okay.” She said not really buying what her mum was selling, Sweet-Song mentally sighed in relief. She got up and left her plate.
“Where are you going?” Meadow asked,
“To my room.” Sweet-Song replied.
“But what about your food?” Meadow countered,
“I’m not hungry. You can have my food if you want.” Her mother said. Meadow's ears lowered slightly,
“But you didn’t eat last night! You have to be hungry!” She said. This time the only reply she got was the slamming of a room door. Once Sweet-Song was in her room she slide against the door. And used her hooves to cover her face in shame. ‘Why can’t I stop thinking about Star-Studded?’ She thought, before she got up and sat on her bed.
Sweet-Song sighed as she opened the closet and pulled out a gold and silver ballerina costume. She put the outfit on and started dancing, meanwhile outside her room. Meadow had finished both breakfasts and was now washing the plates. She then walked into her room ready to chat with her friends. After a few minutes the door handle to their apartment room turned.
And the door opened, Star-Studded walked in humming the theme song of Celestia All Mighty. She had found the place fairly easy it was as simple as asking:
“Excuse me but did you see a cloaked figure walk into a hotel?” And that was it, Star-Studded had found herself in the hotel. And asked about last night and if and new guests had come that night. The star didn’t know which room Sweet-Song was in so she opened the first door she saw. And luckily, (or unluckily it’s how you see it), the first door was Sweet-Song’s room. Star-Studded felt her face burst into color as she saw Sweet-Song dancing gracefully.
Not only that but she found the mare very attractive. Her coat, mane, and tail unique unlike anything the famous mare had seen. But she also found her dancing very elegant, she smiled. But before Star-Studded could even think about hiding Sweet-Song saw her. And ended up crashing into the nearby wall, Star-Studded winced.
Feeling extreme guilt and shame, by then Meadow had heard the noise and had come out of her room. Once she was able to assess the situation she hid behind a chair. She was very curious to see what would happen, Star-Studded rushed over to Sweet-Song.
“Are you alright!?” She said, as she helped Sweet-Song up trying to help her get steady. The shorter mare blushed a deep crimson shrinking away from Star-Studded, unfortulently the famous mare noticed that Sweet-Song's right back hoof was a bit swollen. Star-Studded gasped and levitated Sweet-Song onto the bed,
“Oh my goodness! I’m so sorry I didn’t mean for you to get hurt!” Star-Studded said.
“I—It’s fine. I—I can take care of it.” Sweet-Song said blushed spreading further on her face, but the famous mare wouldn’t have it. She took the ballerina costume off Sweet-Song and folded it back up again. By then Meadow was watching with beer growing curiosity. Unlike Sweet-Song who was mentally screaming to every known pony god to strike her down. Star-Studded levitated Sweet-Song and the bed sheets up and layed the smaller mare in bed.
She played the blankets on her friend and made sure to keep her magic on Sweet-Song’s right back hoof. She also made sure that her back hooves we’re sticking out from the covers. Star-Studded levitated two very plush pillows over and elevated Sweet-Song's sprained hoof. She then levitated some bandages over and wrapped up Sweet-Song’s hoof.
The dancer bit her lip keeping herself from screaming in pain. Star-Studded eventually stopped and teleported a cold bag of peas next to her. Star-Studded then placed a little pressure with the bag on her friend’s sprained hoof and Sweet-Song smiled slightly. Meadow smiled as well as she pulled out her chattie and turned the shutter noise off. She then took a couple pictures, finding the moment cute.
She then went back to hiding wanting to watch with out the adults noticing. The two mares sat in silence, Sweet-Song unsure on what to say. Her stomach felt as if spiders were crawling in it as her face burned redder by the minute. Her throat felt dry as she tried to avert her eye’s away from Star-Studded. After a few minutes the taller mare removed the bag and checked Sweet-Song's hoof again.
She then gave a satisfied grin and fluffed up the pillows once more before finally letting her horn have a rest.
“Feeling better?” Star-Studded asked, Sweet-Song nodded feeling as lighter then air all of a sudden. “Good! But I want to make this up to you a bit more. If your feeling better tomorrow do you want to go to the movies or something?” Before Sweet-Song could get control over her own head. Her brain forced her to say,
“Ye—Yes! I—I’d lo—lo—love i—it!” She blabbed. Star-Studded squealed and hugged Sweet-Song tightly.
“Yay! Now I’ll be sure to tell Meadow to keep an eye on your sprained hoof!” The star said, Sweet-Song numbly nodded. Her mind currently screaming from her blunder. Meadow quickly (and quietly) ran to her room, just as Studded-Star turned around. She then left the room as Sweet-Song was still in shock.
Sweet-Song was shaking in her hooves as she layed in bed trying not to hyperventilate. She was terrified beyond all belief but strangely enough she also felt very excited. ‘I’m going to spend a day alone with seven year Emmie Award Winning mare Star-Studded Ovation!’ Sweet-Song thought with a smile on her face, but soon the smile disappeared. ‘I’m going to spend a day alone with seven year Emmie Award Winning mare Star-Studded Ovation!?’ She thought as a look of pure horror came onto her face.
Meanwhile Meadow was in her room talking to all her friends on video chat.
“So that’s what happened.” She said once she finished explaining what had happened between her mother and Star-Studded,
“Huh. Odd.” Timidthy muttered.
“Yeah!” Bumper agreed,
“S-S-So yo-yo-you-your su-su-su-sure tha-that yo-your mo-mo-mom i-i-is o-o-okay?” Spark said. Meadow nodded,
“But what about Star-Studded? How does she know how to do that stuff?” Gizmo said.
“Yes it seems highly unlikely she’d know what to do.” Data said,
“Well she could have learned it….somehow.” Console said.
“Guy’s I think we’re getting off topic. You said that your mother, who was very shy during dinner, agreed to go to a movie with a famous superstar alone. That seems a bit suspicions don’t ya think?” Pummel said, surprising everyone. Finally Sweet Dreams spoke,
“Wow normally Timidthy would have pieced that together.” She said. Timidthy blushed,
“Not cool Sweet Dreams.” Bumper responded with a serious tone. Everypony looked shocked,
“What did she do wrong? She just said my brother would’ve picked up on that first.” Blood Bones said. Bumper sighed,
“Well let me put this in your perspective. That’s as if Meadow walked up to you and said: “Hey ya know executing that pony with a electric chair was overkill.” And then just walked off without any sort of consideration for how it made you feel.” He said. Blood Bones blushed that comment penetrating his ego.
“Sorry….” He muttered before shutting up,
“Sorry Timidthy.” Sweet Dreams said soon after. Meadow cleared her throat,
“Anyway what are you insinuating Pummel?” She said.
“What I’m saying is that Sweet-Song has a thing for Star-Studded.” The colt replied, and all the kids gasped.
“Sweet Celestia!” Gizmo said,
“No way! Another same-sex couple! This is awesome! Right brother?” Blood Bones said. Timdthy had a very pleased smile,
“Yep! I’m very happy! I accept all types of romance.” He replied. Bumper had a smile on his face as well as all the kid’s talked over one another. Meadow was absolutely dumbfounded, could her mother actually be in love with another mare?
Meanwhile Star-Studded was looking through all the movies in Applewood. She wanted to make sure that Sweet-Song would love the movie. She had originally thought “Nightmare on Applewood Street” would be good. But….after thinking it through the movie was a scary movie. And it would end up scaring Sweet-Song to death, she was going to decide on “Black Swan” bit that movie was much too tragic.
Eventually Star-Studded found the right movie: “Step Up” when she read the synopsis. She lit up this was perfect, Star-Studded then started to plan out an outfit for the next day. Not wanting to wear anything too extravagant tomorrow.
The next day came much faster then Sweet-Song would have wanted. Her sprained hoof felt much better and she couldn’t help but want everything to go right. So she took the best shower of her life and brushed her teeth until her gums ached. She brushed her mane, tail and coat until it was straight and silky smooth. She put her cloak on her and was now pacing in her room.
Sweet-Song’s mind was running at a million miles per hour. She wasn’t sure what to say, what to do, and how to not make herself look dumb in front of Star-Studded. Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Sweet-Song jumped. Meadow came in her ears we’re folded back as she looked very worried and confused. The filly walked over to her mother, she took a deep breathe before speaking.
“Mum. I’ve known you for a while and you’ve shown no interest towards mares or stallions as far as I know as. So…..I must ask…..where do you think your sexuality lies?” Sweet-Song blushed a bright cranberry shade of red. Since when had her daughter became interested in her non-existent (and yet to be existent) love life.
“U—Ummm……I—I don’t know…..I—I’ve…..ne—never da—dated.” Sweet-Song admitted as she began to blush even redder, Meadow’s brow furrowed in frustration.
“Well okay. And good luck with Star-Studded.” She said as she left the room and shut the door, once she got into her room the door closed again. Once it was shut Meadow she gulped as her heart began to race. She felt terrified as she levitated her chattie over to her. She quickly dialed her coltfriends number she put a soundproof spell on the room. Meadow put the chattie on speaker phone,
“Hello sugar dumpling!” Blood Bones’s voice came through the phone. Meadow felt her fear leave her for a second as she couldn’t even try to stifle a giggle.
“Daww! I see your in a good mood! But right now your fillyfriend is having panic attack!” She said,
“Alright hold on. Is this about your mom being a lesbian?” Blood Bones asked his tone turning serious.
“Yes! I feel angry, worried and confused beyond belief! My old parents always told me people like that are freaks! And what if Star-Studded doesn’t feel the same! Even if she doesn’t crush my mother’s heart into a million pieces if my mum is in love with her she’ll be devastated! And if she is hard on my mum then she might just reject her! Or even worse expose her in front of all her fans! Not only will mum be humiliated but she may never love again!” Meadow said and by the time she was done she was back to panicking,
“Okay whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. First ; ponies like that aren’t freaks. Me and Timidthy know royal guards in a relationship like that. And also thanks for reminding me about your parents I could get them jailed for child neglect. Second ; Star-Studded would never hurt Sweet-Song like that. She’s nice and sure she could reject your mom. But she’d do it calmly, discreetly, and respectively and yes it would crush your mom’s heart. But she’d be able to bounce back from that. And thirdly ; I think your worried because that means if Star-Studded and Sweet-Song become a thing. Then they’ll start dating and eventually might marry and the possibility of having a superstar for a mommy is causing you to freak out.” Blood Bones said. Meadow blushed but deny any of what her coltfriend said,
“Now take deep breathes and try to calm yourself down.” Blood Bones said. His fillyfriend sighed,
“Your around your brother too much.” She muttered.
“I love you too!” Blood Bones replied in a sickeningly sweet voice, “Bye! And don’t do anything stupid.” He then hung up letting his words sink into Meadow's head. But that was soon interrupted when she heard a door close. Meadow gasped and cracked open her room door slightly. She watched as Star-Studded started to drag her mother out the room. And shut the door; Meadow then smiled as she got a plan.
It was cliched. It was doomed to fail. It was wrong. And it was very, very stupid. But she was going to do it anyway! She was going to spy on Sweet-Song and Star-Studded.

Blabber Mouth
Star-Studded wore a sky blue cloak with bead-sized mystic quarts sewn in it. The gems we’re rainbow colored as they shined and glimmered. Even in the lowest light, Sweet-Song had her cloak hood over her face. Her hooves shook as she just barely could keep herself up. She kept her head down; her face so red it couldn’t get any redder.
“Your gonna love the movie I picked out for us to watch!” Star-Studded said, “I’m sure the movie is gonna bring you to tears!” Sweet-Song bit her lip too nervous to speak. Star-Studded took notice on how quiet Sweet-Song was; “Are you okay?” She asked. Sweet-Song gulped,
“F—Fine.” She stuttered. Star-Studded didn’t look convinced,
“Your sure? You can tell me what’s bugging you.” Sweet-Song opened her mouth but quickly shut it again. She bit her lip as hard as she could to avoid blabbing, meanwhile not far behind was Meadow. She wore a midnight blue cloak she had the hood over her face. As the whole cloak was kept together with a shinning onyx gem. She wore it not only to keep her identity hidden but she found the cloak very pretty.
Meadow watched carefully as the two walked towards a movie theater. She watched as Star-Studded (much to Sweet-Song's embarrassment) paid for their tickets. Meadow followed and put up some bits to pay for her ticket, unfortulently thought. The stallion above said,
“Sorry miss the movie is sold out.” Meadow's ears dropped as the stallion walked away from the counter. The filly groaned in annoyance she then put a invisibility spell on herself. And walked right in, Meadow eventually found her mother and Star-Studded. She sat right behind them as the movie started, but as she watched her eye lids started to get heavy.
When Meadow woke up she saw the movie was nearing it’s end but what really got her worried was that her mother was crying. Meadow was about to say something, until Star-Studded spoke.
“I’m glad your liking the movie.” Sweet-Song blushed,
“Of course I like it. It’s so sweet!” She said. Star-Studded giggled softly,
“Yeah I wanted to get a movie that you’d really like. I didn’t want to get you anything too scary. After all this is my apology to you.” She said. Sweet-Song blushed redder as she looked into Star-Studded eye’s. Meadow looked between the two kinda scared to see what would happen next. Once the two had realized they had been staring at one another. They looked away and blushed, just as the movie went to credits.
“So…..what now?” Sweet-Song said,
“Well….maybe we can go and get some ice cream?” Star-Studded suggested.
“I’d like that.” Sweet-Song replied, and the two mares left. Unknowingly with a little filly following behind, when the two got to the ice cream shop. Meadow made sure Star-Studded and her mum didn’t see her, the two we’re sharing a sundae together. As Star-Studded had suggested and Sweet-Song not having to courage to say no. The sundae was composed out of three flavors.
Lemon custard, french vanilla, and butter pecan. With banana slices, hot fudge, caramel, and rainbow sprinkles to add to it. As they ate the ice cream they talked Sweet-Song getting more and more comfortable.
“I have to admit I’ve had a lot if fun with you! Even if your not talking much.” Star-Studded said, Sweet-Song blushed.
“I—I’m just a bit nervous.” Sweet-Song muttered, the taller alicorn looked at her. Suddenly Star-Studded picked up a flop of ice cream from her spoon. And placed it on Sweet-Song's nose, the mare shivered from the sudden cold. While Star-Studded giggled,
“I hope that cools down your nerves.” Sweet-Song blushed and giggled as well. She had to admit she felt if only a little bit calmer; she opened her mouth. But soon felt jittery all over again, unfortulently for her Star-Studded wasn’t blind.
“Come on you can tell me about anything.” She said, putting a good on Sweet Song's. The other mare froze and bit her lip. Feeling her face burn brighter then any other moment of the night. But before she could put a hoof over mouth she said.
“Would you like to go on a date with me?” Sweet-Song then slapped both hooves on her mussel. Star-Studded’s magic dropped the spoon in shock; Meadow put both hooves over her mouth to muffle a gasp. All the other customers went silent. The ice cream shop owner by then had just dropped what he was doing.
This was now getting good.
Silence rained in the shop and no doubt somepony walking by would be able to tell. Everypony was in suspense wondering what Star-Studded's answer would be. But before she could even get over the shock. Sweet-Song ran out the shop crying, everypony started murmuring to themselves once they we’re gone. Finally Star-Studded got over the shock but once she did.
Her brow was furrowed; she then paid for the ice cream. And walked out the shop, Meadow bit her lip unsure what Star-Studded was thinking. Meadow got from her seat and left the shop as well, once she was out she quickly teleported back home. When she got home almost immediately did the hotel door slam open. And Sweet-Song flew in opening her room door with magic in the process.
She ran into her room, Meadow tried to follow but before she could the door slammed in her face. She went to open the door but just as she touched the handle the door locked. Meadow blinked in surprise but once she got over it her ears went flat against her skull. She walked into her room and decided to call up Timidthy and Blood Bones. Meanwhile Sweet-Song had collapsed on her bed crying and sobbing her eye’s out on a pillow.
‘What was I thinking!? I’m so stupid! She’s never gonna want me now!’ She thought, and was about to continue insulting herself in her mind scape. But another thought quickly (and painfully) hit her,
‘I like mares…..’
Meadow's chattie screen was on a split screen as both princes' had just finished listening to her about what had happened.
“First. Meadow I’m very disappointed spying and ease dropping is wrong. Second. Has Star-Studded showed up yet?” Timidthy said,
“Yeah I mean if some colt I just met asked me out I’d be pretty shell-shocked.” Blood Bones added. Meadow sighed,
“No. But I’m afraid of her answer. She looked mad when she left.” She said. Timidthy’s magic subconsciously tapped a pen on his table by his bed in thought. While Blood Bones started pacing right behind his bed which had a disturbingly realistic looking doll of Mr. Somber on it.
“Alright I got it!” Both brother’s said at once, “Since Sweet-Song ran away before Star-Song could answer. Most likely; she’ll feel extremely guilty and make up by going on a date with her!” Once they two stopped talking they glared at one another. For stealing each other’s thunder,
“That was my idea!” Blood Bones said.
“Brother. Look at my flank it literally states I’m going to be a therapist. So I think it’s my idea you took.” Timidthy retorted going back to his calm stance,
“Oh please you’ve only dealt with a guilty pony twice! Unlike me who brings scum down to it’s knees with their own guilt. Before killing them in ways that suit what they did to their captors or victims.” Blood Bones said. Meadow slapped her forehead and cleared her throat. Both brother’s snapped back to their senses and blushed madly. Their ears going down in shame,
“If you two are done. Thank you. But if that’s the case….how am I going to get my mum out on a date?” Meadow said. Both colts bit their lips, this was Star-Song they we’re talking about. This time Blood Bones spoke,
“Well brother you we’re the king of bashfulness. What’s your advice?” He said teasingly. Timidthy blushed even redder his ears hitting the back of his head,
“I was not!” He retorted. Blood Bones smirked,
“Right sure.” He said sarcastically. Timidthy glared at his brother as muttered something, he then took a deep breathe and tried to look calm.
“Well since your so insistent I’d suggest cheering her up. Getting her into a false since of security by playing the daughter trope. “Oh mum I’d love it if we played dress up.” It’s a bit deceptive and manipulative. But…..from experience…..I can say it’s necessary.” He said, Meadow smiled.
“But what about Star-Studded? I mean it’s not like a miracle is gonna fall from the sky!” She said, and just a moment later a call from Binkey came in. Meadow’s chattie screen split on three as the colt came on the screen. Jumping in joy; he wore a diaper on his flank though. But he looked so excited Meadow, Blood Bones, and Timidthy easily conjured up that he actually forgot he was wearing one.
“Gwy’s! Guy’s! Star-Studded just sent us a tewt inwiting us to the Applewood Ball! There are gwing to be celebrwtwes, and directwrs, and mwvie stars are all kinds!” Binkey said a baby-like lisp slipping through his joy,
“Really!?” Timidthy and Blood Bones said. While Meadow had a raised eyebrow,
“What’s the big deal?” She said. And all of the colts stared at her with their eye’s wide and their jaws dropped.
“Your kidding.” Binkey said,
“You poor, poor uneducated and unetiquetted filly you.” Blood Bones said shaking his head. Timidthy finally spoke practically nerding-out,
“The Applewood Ball is the second most know ball behind the Grand Galloping Gala! The place is filled with so many arrogant and egotistical stars. That if our mother walking I wearing a used diaper smelling of three week old garbage wearing a clown wig no one would bat an eye! Not to mention the place is where new stars make their mark by standing out! It has the best food, best music, best films, hell best everything! The only reason that it’s second best known is because my mother never attends! But if she did I bet the Grand Galloping Gala would be cancelled and that place would go down in history as the best ball ever!” Once he was done Timidthy was actually flying mid-air with full confidence. But once he was done and realized that he had stepped out of line. His wings snapped shut and he hit the ground; Timidthy cleared his throat before going silent. Blood Bones looked impressed as he spoke,
“Good job brother! Do that again more often! Anyway yeah my brother is a hundred percent right. Every place we go to that isn’t our school, Canterlot, or Ponyville ponies flip out. Wanting to impress us or spoil us. And even in our school, Canterlot, or Ponyville we get noticed for other reasons. Me and my brother have always wanted to go! For once we can be regular colts no therapy or execution responsibilities! Not to mention this is your chance! If Star-Studded invited you then she has to expect Sweet-Song to come! This isn’t fate, Celestia, or the universe giving us a sign….this is Star-Studded basically saying yes to your mother’s date!” Meadow smiled broadly. Both excited for the ball and that her coltfriend could be right. Binkey had a raised eyebrow,
“I have a feeling I’m missing a few things. What’s going on can I he—” He said until Crepe was heard.
“Come on bro time for your diaper check!” Blood Bones and Meadow bit back snickers; while Timidthy just looked at Binkey with a looked that screamed.
“Therapy time!” Binkey blushed redder then anything before saying,
“Uhh….gotta go bye!” He then hung up. As soon as Binkey was gone Blood Bones and Meadow bursted into laughter. While Timidthy had a disapproving look on his face. Once the two saw the look from the prince of therapy they immediately chocked back their laughing fit.
“Now that your done being mean. Good luck Meadow. This colt has got to get measured for a brand new tux.” Timidthy said before hanging up,
“Same here. Good luck buttercup.” Blood Bones said. And he hung up as well, and once he was gone Meadow put a hoof to her chin. And started to think of a plan to trick her mum into a stunning outfit.
Without her finding out about the Applewood Ball.
The next day…..
Sweet-Song was in her sheets still crying that was until a bright plum colored light came flashed in the room. She was suddenly levitated onto her back, Sweet-Song looked to see Meadow.
“Mum you need to stop crying. Come on. Why don’t we dress up?” She said,
“Leave me alone! I don’t wanna!” Sweet-Song snapped. She sniffed and tried rolling over again; but Meadow used her magic to hold her in place. The filly sighed and looked into her mother’s eye’s as she forced her ears to go down. And put on the biggest puppy eye’s ever,
“But muuum! I want you to be happy! I want to spend time with you! And I made you some mango scented soap.” She said. Sweet-Song looked at her daughter for a second. She sighed,
“Alright.” Sweet-Song said. Meadow smiled and shoved the newly made bar of soap in Sweet-Song's hooves.
“Good! Now take a good bath and make sure to put your mane in a good, cute and stunning hairstyle.” Meadow said as she lifted her mother into the air, somewhat struggling to lift a grown mare. Sweet-Song raised an eyebrow but with her senses (and intuition) dulled. She went along with extreme excitement from her daughter. Sweet-Song walked inside and shut the door along with locking it. Meadow smiled and sat on the bed waiting for her mother.
Sweet-Song was now in the shower scrubbing her fur she still wasn’t in a good mood by any stretch of the imagination. But she always loved her daughter’s soaps, conditioners, shampoos, and perfumes. They always had a very pungent and perfume-y smell to them. That no other’s had; not to mention her daughter always experimented. And combined odd scents that no one would thing and they turned out perfect.
And if Sweet-Song was being completely honest that was the one thing that pushed her over the edge to agree. Was it selfish? Yes! But between her shyness, current humiliation, and bad mood you couldn’t blame her. Sweet-Song sighed as she started to think,
‘I can only imagine what she was thinking. I’m a fool. She probably never wants to see me again. Meadow is probably doing this to cheer me up. Well it isn’t going to work….I’ve never felt more pain then I’ve ever felt in these past hours.’ She thought. When her snapped out of her self-loathing she realized that her entire body was sudsed up. Sweet-Song sighed as she let the suds be washed from her coat. She stepped out the shower and dried herself off she looked in the mirror and brushed her hair. Once she was done she started to do her hair.
Meadow was in the room with the light on as she paced waiting for her mother. She was beginning to worry that she’d never come out luckily after ten more minutes. The handle door turned and Sweet-Song came out. And Meadow had a beaming smile on her face. As her mother’s hair was a mixture of the hair now and singular french braid hairstyle.
The top of her hair had two large bows; both being completely composed of her hair. While down the braid it had bows made of her own hair as well; the end having the biggest bow on it. Sweet-Song scratched her hoof against the floor looking embarrassed.
“So….umm….what do you think?” She said, Meadow smiled.
“Good…..but the top needs….something different.” She said, and Meadow lit her horn up and undid the hair bows. She then wrapped it up into a big one two times larger then the bow at the bottom of the braid. “There! Now that’s much better.” Meadow then pulled out a brush, and and casted a paralyzing spell on her mother. Sweet-Song recognized this and used her eye’s to follow her daughter having a parenting gleam in them.
“Meadow…..what are you doing?” She said, Meadow's ears went back but she started brushing Sweet-Song's hair.
“I’m just brushing your coat and tail for you. And then doing the same style to your tail. I want you to look just right and for that I need you to stay perfectly still.” Meadow responded, Sweet-Song still had suspicions. But tried to push them to the back her mind chalking it up to her daughter being kind. So the mare waited as her daughter brushed her coat and tail till it was silky smooth. Once her tail was smooth she put it in the hairstyle just like the braid in Sweet-Song's mane. The mare to move again but Meadow’s spell was still in effect.
“Sorry mum. But I need to dress you myself. If you see the dress then you won’t put it on. And then you won’t realize how cute and innocent you look in it.” Sweet-Song narrowed her eye’s at her daughter.
“Meadow I don’t want to be forced into anything.” She said, Meadow looked back at her faking tears. As she actually started to cry real tears,
“But mum! I want you to looking foxy! It ain’t fair that you are cooped up in your room bawling! You will like this I swear! Pinkie Promise me you’ll not question my methods! I have a surprise and you’ll love it!” She said. Sweet-Song blushed wondering if her daughter knew what the definition of “foxy” was. But she sighed feeling guilt,
“Fine. I Pinkie Promise.” Sweet-Song said.
“Yay!” Meadow said before she tied a bandana around her mother’s eyes. Making sure not to ruin her hair, “Now just sit tight.” And with that Sweet-Song was left to wonder what deal had she just made.
For what felt like hours the paralyzing spell stayed in place as Sweet-Song felt what could only be. Shoes, a dress, make-up, and some sort of small hat put on her; finally the blind fold was removed. And when she looked she saw that her daughter was now in a bright silk orange dress. Large pale yellow bows we’re on the bottom of it along with a large on the chest. Her mane and tail we’re in large bouncy curls as she smelled like peaches.
She had bright orange eyeshadow, blush, and lip stick on to match. Sweet-Song felt tears come to her eyes; her little girl looked all grown up. Meadow gasped and casted a spell on Sweet-Song and her tears vanished.
“Alright all done. Now for the pièce de résistance….your new look!” Meadow said and she levitated a full length mirror in front of her mum. Sweet-Song's jaw dropped as she wore pale royal blue eyeliner and mascara. She had lipstick to match as she wore a sweet loita styled dress. The dress had four layers; the first of course being a pale royal blue, while the next one was a pale midnight blue. The third was a pale tropical sea blue and finally the fourth was baby blue.
Each layer sparkled and shined as a big bow sat on the flank. The dress (as Meadow had said) made her look cute, innocent, and foxy. An odd but surprisingly fitting combination. She looked down her legs and saw that she had pale royal blue socks that had little white specks in it. Matching the dresses color scheme perfectly; she shoes she wore we’re a baby blue.
As she wore heels on all four of her legs; by the time Sweet-Song was done gawking at her look. Meadow had undid the paralyzing spell and the filly still waiting for her mother’s reaction.
“Wow. I—I…..look…..amazing.” Sweet-Song said, still stunned. Meadow smiled,
“Glad ya liked it! Now come on!” She said. Sweet-Song followed put her room door; but only felt fear when they got to their hotel room door.
“W—W—Wait! You said the make-over was a surprise.” She said; Meadow turned around and had a coy smirk on her face.
“Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. I never said the make-over was the surprise. I said “I have a surprise” and we haven’t got to it yet.” She said,
“But why would we have to—” Sweet-Song said until her daughter interrupted.
“You also Pinkie Promised not to question my methods.” The mare bit her lip realizing she was trapped between a rock and a hard place.
“W—Well….let me take the dre—” Sweet Song said,
“I put you in that dress and did the make and made the soap which took all of five hours to do. Do you really want to ruin somepony's hard work?” Meadow challenged. The mare sighed and gave up, “Good.” And with that the mare And the filly walked out the room. But as they walked Sweet-Song couldn’t help but notice their was a strut in Meadow’s step.
As Sweet-Song and Meadow walked through the city many ponies gawked at the two. Especially the stallions who threw broad whistles in Sweet-Song’s direction. The mare tensed up in response her face going crimson as she now wished she had blush on her face. Her steps we’re already shaky with the heels but somehow she was able to tell her legs we’re shaking from fear and anxiety. But Sweet-Song continued to follow knowing that her daughter would be disappointed if she ran away.
Not to mention she couldn’t run in the heels anyway; Meadow had a pleased smile on her face. Getting a surge of happiness from it she ever started to swing her hips for a minute. She stopped only when she felt Sweet-Song's eye’s on her not wanting her mother to raise any more eyebrows. Eventually the two got to what looked to be a large folk victorian mansion. The mansion was colored a light honey amber color.
The windows we’re shaped like arches three being on the upper part of the house while two we’re on the bottom. The windows had cafe styled shutters as the house had a gambrel roof with a tile pattern covering it. The front had a australian door as it was colored a more toasted shade of honey amber. Sweet-Song looked at Meadow causiouly;
“Uhhh……Meadow…..why are we here?” She said.
“We’re almost to your surprise.” Meadow said, Sweet-Song bit her but was forced to move. As her daughter made her legs move forward with her magic. When they got in the mansion they immediately heard a lot of chatting. The two got to the foyer and saw a crowd of reporters was filling the room completely with reporter ponies. There was a long staircase that lead to Star-Studded who was wearing a midnight blue dress.
That had a pattern that mimicked the starry night sky almost exactly. Sweet-Song felt her heart pound what was her sister doing taking her to Star-Studded's house!? Is this why her daughter had dressed her up? But her anxiety started to fade away as she heard Star-Studded speak.
“Now I’m not taking a special pony out to the Applewood Ball….but….I will be taking a “friend” I met her a few days ago. And…..she’s right here!” Sweet-Song froze as the reporters turned to her and Meadow; or at least her. Meadow had snuck into the crowd so that her mum could have the spotlight. The reporters immediately took pictures by the dozen and asked her questions. Star-Studded coaxed her forward and as of her mind went on autopilot Sweet-Song did as she was told. The reporters continued to take pictures as Sweet-Song clumsily walked up the stairs.
When she got to the final stretch Star-Studded pulled her up and whispered quickly into her ear.
“After this I want to talk to you in private. Don’t run away. Just play along I need to dispel some rumors.” She then pulled back as the press was still snapping pictures like mad.
“Calm down everyone; calm down. This is my “friend” Sweet-Song Ballad.” Star-Studded said, as the mare beside her was panicking in her head.
'What does she want? Is this going on the paper? Why is Meadow allowing this to happen?’ She thought,
“My friend and I will be wearing costumes that match each other. Since this is the horror year of the Applewood Ball. Now if your done with questions I have to plan.” Star-Studded said. The news ponies started walking out of the mansion muttering among themselves. Meadow was revealed to be sitting down and smiling smugly. Star-Studded then wrapped her right hoof around Sweet-Song's back. And walked towards her room; while the poor mare beside her was completely incapable of saying anything.
Once they we’re in Star-Studded's room the taller mare sat on her bed. While Sweet-Song was frozen like a statue;
“Now that we’re alone I think it’s time to talk about what happened at the ice cream shop.” Star-Studded said. Sweet-Song's face went red, she ran for the door only for Star-Studded to drag her back.
“Listen to me. I’m not mad.” She said, but Sweet-Song struggled against the magic as tears escaped her eye’s. Star-Studded groaned and levitated Sweet-Song over to her forcing the mare to look into her eye’s. The super star then kissed her and just like that both mares felt like they we’re the only ponies in the world. Sweet-Song’s mind went blank for a moment before it started screaming:
‘BY THE BURNING SUN CELESTIA RAISES! This can’t be happening!’ Finally Star-Studded released and put her on the ground. Sweet-Song’s legs shook like a leaf before she landed hard on her flank. She looked at Star-Studded gobmacked while the taller mare had a hint of blush on her face slightly giggling. Finally Sweet-Song found her voice;
“W—W—Wh—Why…....d—di—did….y—you…ki—kiss…..m—me?” She said. Star-Studded blushed even redder;
“Because I love you.” She said timidly; Sweet-Song felt like she was going to pass out but she hung onto consciousness.
“B—But…..I—I….though….yo—you….didn’t—” She stuttered, until Star-Studded interrupted.
“I didn’t say anything. You ran off before I could get over shell-shock to reply. I thought about it and I realized I love you of course I had to lie to the press. We don’t need that kind of trouble; we can got to the Applewood Ball dressed in costumes. Cause not only will it be fun but nopony will recognize us. It could be our official date……if you still want me that is.” Sweet-Song blinked before a smile came to her face,
“Yes! Yes! Yes! I’d love that!” She said. Before she kissed Star-Studded; both mares melted into the kiss.
“Oh and by the way. You look adorable.” Star-Studded said once they left the kiss, Sweet-Song blushed before something clicked in her head.
“Wait…..did Meadow set this up?” She said, Star-Studded giggled.
“With a little help from Timidthy, Binkey, and Blood Bone of course.” She said, Sweet-Song groaned in annoyance. But a beaming smile spread on her face anyway.
Welcome to the Applewood Ball!
It was the night everypony has anticipated: The Applewood Ball! Meadow and Sweet-Song we’re both vary excited. Meadow was dressed up as a parisprite as her coltfriend was dressing as a one pony band. While Sweet-Song was dressed as a teenager wearing a jacket with fake bloody butcher knife in it. She made her hair look as messy as possible while she had put talcum power all over herself to make her look pale.
Once they we’re done they waited for Star-Studded to show up. But as they waited Sweet-Song had vibrant blush on her face as she jumped around the room in excitement.
“My first date! I’m so excited….and nervous! What if something goes wrong?” She said her mood quickly changing as she stopped in place and her legs shook. Meadow giggled,
“You remind me on my first date.” She said. Sweet-Song blushed as she looked both eagerly and fearfully at the door.
“I can’t help it! What if ponies disapprove of us? What if our disguises are ripped off? Are we doing to dance together?” She said pacing non stop across the room floor, Meadow rolled her eyes as she shook her head. Suddenly a knock came from the door and Sweet-Song got in a fetal position on the ground. Meadow opened the door and Blood Bones walked in just as promised the red alicorn was dressed as a one pony band.
“Where is Sweet Dreams and the others?” Meadow asked;
“Their parents said no they didn’t want them going to a huge adult party by their selves. And my brother decided that if Sweet Dreams couldn’t go then he wouldn’t go. Even if it made a part of him die inside for not going.” Blood Bones said.
“Have to give him one thing. That’s very noble.” Meadow said; Blood Bones nodded. As he caught a glimpse of Sweet-Song huddled on the floor.
“She’s handling it better then I expected.” He said, Meadow chuckled.
“I think this is the most emotions she’s felt this week.” She said; but suddenly the two heard hoofsteps just as the lights in their room went out. Blood Bones and Meadow huddled next to Sweet-Song who was beginning to shake as well. Suddenly giggling was heard and a clown dressed mare jumped out of the darkness holding a chainsaw ad she said.
“HERE’S OVATION!” Blood Bones, Meadow, and Sweet-Song screamed. Star-Studded turned the lights back on and giggled as she helped the three up. And as the lights shone on her as it was revealed that she was specifically dressed exactly as the clown from the movie: IT. Star-Studded didn’t hesitate as she pulled Sweet-Song into a kiss. The shorter mare blushed vibrantly as she melted into the kiss.
Meadow looked away while Blood Bones let out a small.
“Daww.” Finally the two released and Sweet-Song’s hooves shook as she almost passed out. Star-Studded quickly got her onto her hooves.
“Now breathe Sweety.” She said; Sweet-Song leaned on her shoulder trying to get her legs to behave properly. Once she was sure she could move; Sweet-Song walked next to Star-Studded. The two holding hooves while Blood Bones and Meadow walked after. When the group got to the ball the place was lit only with candle lit chandeliers. Giving it a elegant yet eerie vibe, the walls we’re painted a pure gold.
With posters of movies and various movie characters on them. The floor was made of marble as it shined a brilliant plum. Ponies in various costumes we’re at the party as tables of food, snacks, and drinks we’re layed out. A big stage sat at the end of the ball room as music blared from loud speakers. Sweet-Song covered her ears at all the noise while Blood Bones and Meadow trotted off to explore.
Star-Studded giggled at the two's curiosity, she then pulled Sweet-Song along as she started to get use to the noise. She started to look around noticing that not only was their movie stars, actors, directors, script writers, but also fans and worse yet paparazzi. Sweet-Song gulped,
“Star are you really sure that this is a good idea? There are a lot of paparazzi here.” She whispered. Star-Studded smiled seemingly almost blissfully unaware of the paparazzi.
“Why do you think we wear costumes. Us stars are always getting mobbed by them. It hides our identity not to mention since it’s done every year. We don’t run out if costumes to wear!” She said, Sweet-Song only looked slightly convinced.
“Okay….” She muttered, Star-Studded looked at her; her eye’s gleaming with concern.
“If you really don’t like all the ponies. We can out to a move out to a quiet place.” She said;
“I’d like that.” Sweet-Song said. And after the two grabbed some very sweet strawberry lemonades. They moved to a less occupied part of the ball.
Once they we’re alone Sweet-Song slowly started to open up a little.
“Um…..thanks for taking me along to the ball and everything. Even if I don’t like all the ponies.” She said, Star-Studded giggled.
“It’s fine. All I wanted to do was spend time with you anyway.” She said with a slight blush,
“Well thanks….by the way you can be really scary when you want to.” Sweet-Song said finding herself giggling.
“Aww! Thanks! But really it’s nothing but I have to admit I was worried I had scared you to death.” Star-Studded said; Sweet-Song looked around. And cuddled up next to Star-Studded; the taller mare blushed. Looking around nervously as well;
“Your so cute even with a costume of a dying character on it.” She whispered. Sweet-Song smiled as she nuzzled the side of her face on Star-Studded's chest. Once she pulled back, her taller marefriend giggled.
“You better watch the nuzzling. You don’t want to wipe all your powder off.” She said, and Sweet-Song smiled sheepish. Suddenly thought Star-Studded got a marvelous idea as she thought of the stage. She then smiled confidently as she said:
“Hey Sweety have ya ever heard me sing?”
Author's Note
First ever Star-Studded Ovation solo! Her singing voice color will be red.
A Glorious Night
Sweet-Song looked at Star-Studded having a feeling she knew where this was going.
“Um….no….but Star I’m not sure if this is a good—” Sweet-Song said, but Star-Studded pulled her a long and only let go of her hoof to get on the stage. Sweet-Song tried to melt into the crowd and Star-Studded got eveyponies attention. Once their eye’s were all hers the star spoke,
“Alright everypony! I have a song for all of you! And I think anypony can relate!” Her horn lit up. As the music changed to some type of eyes pop jazz music. And that when she started to sing:
It was a normal day when I was walking about.
But I saw em’ and my heart skipped a beat.
I couldn't help them but find the all neat!
I didn't even realize what was wrong at first!
A cold?
A trick?
A curse?
Oh! I got bit by the love bug!
Ow! I got bit by the love bug!
And from that point I knew that his poison wouldn't go.
My knees felt all shaky.
I felt so sick!
I just wished that this feeling would quit!
But I had been bitten by the nasty love bug!
My heart was beatin’ like nuts!
I had a headache that hurt to touch!
I wanted to scream to the one I desired they had put my heart on fire!
But every time my I got near my mouth went dry!
I couldn't even speak I was so desperate I wanted to cry!
Thanks to that love bug!
That rottin’ love bug!
By the time Star-Studded was done everypony was cheering. And Sweet-Song had a dreamy look on her face she had never heard such a lovely voice. Once the crowd had disbanded and was done cheering Star-Studded came down from the stage. Sweet-Song smiled as she hugged her marefriend,
“That was amazing!” She said. Star-Studded actually blushed and giggled nervously,
“Awww! Thanks! But it was really—” She said. Until Sweet-Song planted a kiss on her lips, Star-Studded froze in place. She hasn’t expected this, she closed her eyes melted into the kiss easily as she brought her marefriend close. Star-Studded only opened her eye’s when she heard whispering. Her faced burned red when she realized that the other party go-er’s we’re shooting them looks of disgust.
Her disguise may have kept her identity hidden but that didn’t mean it hid her gender. Star-Studded pulled back and Sweet-Song snapped out of her trance realizing the ponies gazes. She looked around feeling tears in her eye’s,
“Sweety it’s alright. Let’s just go someplace else.” Star-Studded said. Seeing the panic in her lovers eye’s, Sweet-Song obeyed fighting every urge that was telling her to run. They two trotted over to what looked to be an upstairs balcony and ran up there. Once they we’re sure nopony was following them they sat on their haunches. Sweet-Song blushed a deep crimson as she looked at Star-Studded.
“I’m sorry.” She muttered, the taller mare looked at her in shock.
“You don’t have to apologize. I….kinda liked it.” Star-Studded replied, Sweet-Song looked stunned as her cheeks flared.
“Yo—You di—did?” She asked as her hooves shook, Star-Studded nodded. Sweet-Song almost passed out from the news and Star-Studded made sure to catch her with her magic.
“If this keeps up I’m going to have to tie a pillow to the back of your head.” Star-Studded joked, Sweet-Song shook off the dizziness as she got herself back up. She smiled sheepishly as Star-Studded dragged her over to her with her magic. The taller mare laid her back on the balcony wall as placed the back of Sweet-Song’s on her belly. Finally Star-Studded wrapped her front hooves around Sweet-Song’s chest. The mare squirmed slightly to get a bit more comfortable.
But she didn’t leave the embrace.
She liked it.
“Ya know it feels nice to date somepony. To be honest, I’ve never dated before. Now I know why.” Star-Studded said, Sweet-Song's eye’s widened in awe.
“Really!? Your so pretty! I’d think you’ve dated every colt in this town!” Sweet-Song said, Star-Studded suddenly laughed.
“Your pretty as well! But I moved here when I was fourteen! I originally lived in a far away place called Zahavah.” She said, Sweet-Song's eye’s gleamed with curiosity. As she looked at her marefriend,
“Really? What was it like?” She asked. Star-Studded blushed,
“Wow. You’re the first to ask. But the place was wonderful it was very pretty and it had the most luscious fruit. In fact I had take every seed from my homeland and brought them here. I have a little garden in my mansion…..would you like to see it!?” She said. Sweet-Song giggled at her excitement,
“Sure! Once this party is over we can check it out!” She replied. Star-Studded grinned as she ran a hoof through Sweet-Song’s mane the two we’re in their own little world. Until they heard lighting strike as the wind picked up, Sweet-Song yelped as she almost wet herself out of fear. Star-Studded jumped as well but put a comforting hoof on her marefriend’s shoulder. She levitated Sweet-Song onto her hooves and got up.
Star-Studded looked up and saw a storm was beginning to start. Rain began to fall as the two mares rushed inside not wanting their costumes to be ruined. When they got inside they saw party go-er's we’re starting to leave not wanting to get caught in the storm. Sweet-Song and Star-Studded looked around to find Blood Bones and Meadow. Suddenly they both felt weight on their backs and saw that the children had hitched a ride on them.
“Yikes! It’s like a stampede out there!” Blood Bones said,
“Yeah. Let’s get out here!” Meadow said. Star-Studded and Sweet-Song simply nodded as their horns lit up. But suddenly lighting struck the building and that’s when everypony smelled smoke. And a fire broke out; but just before Star-Studded and Sweet-Song could think of any way it could worse. The sprinklers went off and the mares disguises and make-up melted off.
Everypony started to panic, minus the photographer’s, who we’re trying to get pictures of the celebrities. Star-Studded blushed a deep crimson as she desperately lit her horn for a teleportation spell. As one of the photographers aimed their camera at her she managed to perform the spell. Her, Sweet-Song, Meadow, and Blood Bones got teleported to Star-Studded’s mansion. The taller mare was taking in deep breathes looking exhausted.
“I—I’m sorry…..I’m not used to doing teleportation spells. Especially long distance.” Star-Studded said, Sweet-Song took a breathe of relief. As she tried to calm her racing heart,
“Well I’m glad you could pull off the spell. But now I really need to get home.” Blood Bones said.
“What!? But can’t you stay?” Meadow said,
“No way. No how. Mom will do something worse then ground me if I do that. Plus she already said no.” Blood Bones said. He then kissed Meadow on the cheek causing her to blush.
“Seeya later Daisy.” He muttered before teleporting away, Meadow giggled. Before she yawned; she turned around to get her mum but saw that her and Star-Studded we’re kissing. Meadow’s face went red as she looked away awkwardly. Once Star-Studded saw Meadow she broke away from Sweet-Song.
“That’s enough. I think Meadow still needs time to adjust.” Star-Studded said whispering the last sentence, Sweet-Song blushed a deep red.
“Sorry.” She whispered.
“It’s alright. But maybe you can stay the night?” Star-Studded asked, a hint of blush coming to her face. Meadow rolled her eye’s,
“You have a guest room right?” She asked.
“Please I have over a dozen rooms I have no idea what to do with. There all upstairs just pick one and you can get ready for the night.” Star-Studded said,
“Alright thanks. And don’t have too much fun tonight.” Meadow teased. Both mares blushed furiously as Meadow ran up the stairs giggling.
“So….wanna check out my garden?” Star-Studded asked, nervously rubbing the back of her neck.
“Yeah.” Sweet-Song said, and the two walked through the mansion talking.
“Now I just want to tell you that the fruits have different textures, tastes, styles to ‘em. And if you eat one that makes you feel a bit….off. Tell me right away I don’t want any thing to happen to you.” Star-Studded said,
“I understand. You know maybe one of these day’s you can take me to your land.” Sweet-Song said. Star-Studded ears went back in response but she forced a smile,
“……Yeah…..one of these day’s.” She said. As the two reached two large double-doors; Sweet-Song went to open the door. But she saw the handles had a huge lock around them. Keeping the door firmly shut, Star-Studded pulled out a key and opened the lock. She levitated the lock over to herself and opened the doors.
And Sweet-Song eye’s widened in awe as she saw the garden. Unlike all the other rooms the floor was actual grass as bushes, trees, and even acers of fruit were spread around the place. Artificial sunlight flooded the room making sure the fruits got enough light. As Sweet-Song subconsciously walked into the room; Star-Studded gained a nostalgic smile. She followed Sweet-Song making sure to shut the door behind her as she saw her lover analyzing one of the fruit bushes.
The one fruit switched colors between purple and velvet as it was the shape of golf ball.
“That one I like to call the fizz fruit.” Star-Studded said, Sweet-Song carefully picked one.
“Why do you call it that?” She asked, Star-Studded giggled.
“Trust me you need to try it to believe it.” Star-Studded replied, Sweet-Song sniffed the fruit. She then plopped it in her mouth and bit into it. And her eyes lit up as her mane frizzed and after a moment Sweet-Song began to foam as the mouth. The mare blushed and chewed up the rest of the fruit before swallowing.
“Wow.” Sweet-Song said as she wiped away the foam, Star-Studded giggled.
“Yeah some fruits can do crazy things to your mane or coat. Don’t worry they only last a few seconds.” She said, Sweet-Song’s eye’s lit up. As she levitated another fruit over that was almost as big as her head. The fruit looked to be a fusion of a strawberry and a pear as white seeds covered it. It also was blue with splotches of orange on it. Star-Studded smiled as she sat by her lover and started to grab some fruit more fruit to try. Each one looking more, and more unique; Star-Studded then pulled out a small knife and cut the fruit up carefully.
Including the one Sweet-Song had, she then levitated two baskets over and put the cut-up fruit inside.
“Come on! We can take a look around the place! At the end I’ll tell you which fruits I picked and I might let you take some home!” Star-Studded said, Sweet-Song smiled. As her and Star-Studded walked around the garden,
“Ya know that party really wasn’t that bad. Except……for the end. I’m glad we could get out of there.” Sweet-Song said. Star-Studded grimaced,
“I—I know! If that photographer got a picture of me…..” She said trailing off as her face turned redder then anything. As the taller mare felt sick, “…my career could’ve been over.” Sweet-Song's eye’s widened as she put a piece of fruit in her mouth. She chewed and swallowed it before speaking,
“Then why are you dating me if it’s such a big risk? You could lose everything ! Your fans! Your house! Your destiny! It’s your cutiemark for ponies sake!?” Star-Studded winced her ears flattening,
“I know….and it may sound cheesy….but I wouldn’t lose you. I love you more then my career and more then my life. Plus….I’ve only had my cutiemark for six year’s so….not that big of a deal.” Star-Studded said. But as soon as she said that she covered her mouth in horror as she heard Sweet-Song’s basket hit the ground.
“You we’re a blank flank for that long !? But you just turned twenty!?” Sweet-Song cried, until she noticed that Star-Studded shrank from the outburst. Sweet-Song cleared her throat blushing as well.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean it that way it’s just that means you got your cutiemark when you first moved here. Maybe even longer. That has to be the longest anypony had gone without their cutiemark. How could you have lived for fourteen years without finding yours?” Sweet-Song said, Star-Studded straightened slightly.
“It’s a long story.” Star-Studded muttered,
“Then…..Then why don’t you tell me?” Sweet-Song said forcing her voice to come out a bit commanding. Star-Studded gulped,
“I don’t like taking about it. But why don’t we talk about you? I’d love to know who your parents we’re!” Star-Studded said trying to desperately change the subject at break-neck speed. Sweet-Song gave her lover a look before taking a deep breathe.
“Fine. But I was an orphan I don’t know who my parents we’re and I don’t even know where they are. I just woke up on the streets one day and that’s all I can remember.” Sweet-Song muttered sadly, Star-Studded felt herself tearing up as she hugged her marefriend. Sweet-Song smiled and hugged back the two then separated and looked into each other’s eye’s. Only for the moment to be ruined as they heard a high-pitched scream. Sweet-Song’s eye’s flew open,
“Meadow!” She screamed. As she started to gallop out of the room; Star-Studded chased after her both worried for her and Meadow.
They found the room Meadow was in and the poor filly was on the bed almost as pale as Rarity. Her mouth was gaped open and she had a look on her face that could only be pure terror.
“Meadow!? What’s wrong? Are you all right!?” Sweet-Song said trying to find anything wrong with her daughter, Meadow pointed at the screen a horse sound escaping her mouth. Sweet-Song and Star-Studded started at the screen and they both copied the look Meadow had. As the screen had a picture of them making out at the party and when the sprinklers watched off the make-up and powder. As bold red text read:
Ballerina Queen and The Drama Queen!
A news pony then came to the screen sitting at a desk,
“You hear it today! Star-Studded Ovation is dating a mare! The identity of this mare is still unknown. But one things for sure is that she certainly lives Star-Studded!” The news pony said. Sweet-Song felt her hooves shake before she collapsed on the floor and passed out. While Star-Studded continued to stare at the screen growing shame and horror filling her being.
“Many ponies say they saw the couple make out before heading up stairs to the balcony. Could the couple been having a bit of fun before the storm happened? Many fans are raging saying this is wrong and the relationship along with Star-Studded is poisoning their children’s brains! While other fans seem to think this is a very good thing for Star-Studded! Rumor has it she’s never dated.” The news pony continued. Star-Studded snarled and felt like smashing the t.v.. But she quickly banished the thought from her head and turned off the t.v.. She didn’t want to hear anymore of it she knew what this meant. Star-Studded then ran to her room and quickly grabbed a suitcase as she started to pack up only the essentials.
But as she was doing this she started crying hysterically. Her breathes we’re quick and out of sync as she stared at her flank. More tears came to her eye’s as she looked around at the trophies and awards on the walls. Star-Studded levitated all of them off the walls as she packed up a few of the less fancier clothes she had. She ran into her bathroom and opened her medicine cabinet as she saw spinach green mane and tail dye.
She pulled it out along with a blindingly bright orange shade of coat dye; she also pulled out bright amber colored contacts. As Star-Studded took the things and was about to use them. Until the items were blasted out of her hooves by a purple beam. She was then dragged out of the room by a purple aura. Star-Studded broke free from the grip just in time to see Meadow who was crying as well.
The filly slapped the superstar disorientating the mare; Meadow then grabbed Sweet-Song by her throat.
“Don’t you even dare! You need to be brave and face the flames!” Meadow said, but Star-Studded broke free from the fillies grasp. Only to stop right in front of Sweet-Song; the mare hugged her and this time Star-Studded legs gave out. And she landed on her flank hard, she hugged back cradling her marefriend in her grasp. The two then started sobbing as Meadow was staring blankly at the ground. How was this even possible?
The flash should’ve stopped them from being viable! She felt anger bubbling to her core for as she felt a strange yet familiar feeling wash over her.
She wanted to kill.
Suddenly though the filly then heard what sounded to be ponies voices. As she felt the ground shake; she gasped it was a mob! Weather it was good or bad didn’t matter to the filly at the moment the two adults we’re currently emotionally unstable. Meadow heard the front door being pounded open she felt herself starting to panic. She shut the door and barricaded it as she got ready to do a mass teleport.
Normally teleportation wasn’t too hard for her but teleporting two mares, packing their suitcases, then teleporting the three suitcases and herself to Canterlot of all places took a lot of energy. Meadow felt immense pain in her horn and her forehead just as she heard the barricade slowly being broken down. Finally she let the spell go as a agony filled high-pitched scream filled the air. And a blinding bright purple light spread across the room and filled the mansion shattering the windows in the process. Allowing the light to escape; after a few seconds the light completely faded.
Only for the now barged in crowd to find three scorch marks on the floor. And one on the bed.
Meanwhile Timidthy was with Binkey in his therapy room,
“So how would you say being treated like a foal makes you feel?” Timidthy asked. Binkey blushed slightly but cleared his throat,
“Well it kinda makes me feel—” He said. Until a blindingly bright purple light filled the room; both colts cried out in pain. Both from the bright light and magical current that spread across the room. The light spread around the castle as well as shattering all the windows. When the light faded both colts hesitantly removed their hooves from their eye’s.
And when they fully regained their eye sight they gasped. They saw an emotional (and maybe mentally) broken Star-Studded. They saw a distraught Sweet-Song and saw a physically exhausted Meadow. She also looked very sickly and pale; and worst of all (especially to Timidthy). They saw Meadow’s horn had cracks running through it and ended at the start of the base.
As both blood and magical sparks let horn as the tip of the horn was burnt black. Timidthy actually screamed while Binkey was too stunned to even speak. The therapy room door burst open with Blood Bones, Watch Dog, and Shimmer Sword coming into the room. They all looked in terror as they saw Star-Studded and Sweet-Song. But the look soon changed to horror as they saw Meadow she her horn.
Blood Bones screamed at a higher pitch then Timidthy and started crying. He rushed over to Meadow just in time to catch her before the filly passed out mid-fall. Blood Bones remained silently for a few seconds before he looked directly at the guard’s with a look that could kill.
“Don’t just stand their you motherbucking idiots get mom, aunt, and the best unicorn doctor in this castle!” Blood Bones said, the two guards flinched. “NOW!” The two guards then ran off, with Binkey following most likely not wanting to be in the room anymore. Timidthy then pulled out his therapy back and ran up to Star-Studded and Sweet-Song. He handed the both of them lollipops but only Sweet-Song took one. While Star-Studded didn’t either being so broken and sad at the moment she didn’t even know where she was. Or that she refused to acknowledge anypony but Sweet-Song.
And even then to the Prince of Therapy that was a bad sign. The bothers then shared looks with one another as they knew something had went very, very, wrong.
Star-Studded woke up just in time to see Sweet-Song getting out of bed. Sweet-Song was rubbing her eyes,
“Mornin’ Star.” She said. Star-Studded smiled and started to get herself up.
“Mornin’ Sweety. So…..what are we doing today?” Star-Studded replied,
“Well if we put on our cloaks then we can head to my place. Any sort of insane super fans you have wouldn’t think to look there.” Sweet-Song said. Star-Studded groaned and dragged her hooves over her face as her cheeks flared.
“My life is over.” She said, Sweet-Song hugged her marefriend.
“No it isn’t. We just need to find a way to fix everything.” Sweet-Song said,
“Well then what do we do?” Star-Studded whined.
“I don’t know.” Sweet-Song said, “But until then. Why don’t you hang with Timidthy and Blood Bones?” Star-Studded sighed.
“Alright.” She responded, Sweet-Song then kissed Star-Studded on the tip of her horn. The taller mare giggled slightly and walked out the room. Once she was gone Sweet-Song put a hoof on her cheek as she tried to think of a plan.
Timidthy heard a knock on his door as him and Blood Bones we’re in the middle of a no-magic tug-of-war. Meadow (who had been watching from Timidthy’s bed) walked over to the door. And opened it; she gasped slightly when she saw Star-Studded. The poor mares mane and tail was a mess. As she had bags under her eyes her coat also seemed to be a bit dull.
“Boys! Stop your sibling dispute! Make-over emergency!” Meadow said,
“Nw way I’m nwt gwnna stwp! If I wose Tim will call me Pwince of Sex forever!” Blood Bones said through gritted teeth. As they were firmly shut on the rope him and Timidthy we’re pulling.
“Swrry bwt if I wose my brwther gets tw read all my othwr secrwt journals.” Timidthy said, Meadow rolled her eyes. And jumped on the rope putting her full weight on it. Timidthy and Blood Bones both let go out of pain and yelped as they used their hooves to massage their gums.
“Well looks like you both lose. Now Tim you run Star-Studded a bath. Blood Bones get one of the maids to make the prettiest dress they can think of.” Meadow ordered, both brothers groaned before they galloped off to fulfil Meadow's orders.
“Meadow I can get ready by myself there’s no need to—” Star Studded said, until Meadow shooshed her.
“Nonsense if you could do it you would’ve already done it! Now come on I have some new soap I know you’ll like!” Meadow said,
“But honey—” Star-Studded said. Only for Meadow to pull on her hoof forcing herself towards Timidthy’s restroom. The prince of therapy had just cut off the tub faucet as yellow-orange bubbles floated on the water. He dipped a hoof in testing the water the prince smiled as the temperature was just right. Once he saw Meadow and Star-Studded he blushed.
“Umm…..the towels are right on my bed. I’ll be in my mother’s room if you need me.” Timidthy said,
“Aren’t you going to help?” Meadow asked.
“I would but I’m a bit of a gentlecolt. I wish to give Star-Studded her privacy.” Timidthy said before leaving, Meadow shrugged as she heard the prince close the door. She then pushed the mare towards the tub, Star-Studded sighed. And got into the water, Meadow grabbed a bath sponge and a bottle of liquid soap made herself. The filly then poured some of the liquid soup on the bath sponge. And started scrubbing Star-Studded until suds and bubbles coated her top half.
“Stand up.” Meadow said; Star-Studded wanted to protest but she shut her mouth. And just let Meadow have her way.
Star-Studded had just finished drying herself off as Meadow sat on Timidthy’s bed.
“Good. Nice and clean.” Meadow said, Star-Studded simply rolled her eye’s as a small smile came to her face. Suddenly the room door busted open as over a dozen maid came into the room. Blood Bones flew over the maids as they started to measure every part of Star-Studded.
“Sorry! They got excited and ran here!” Blood Bones said, just as Timidthy ran into the room. And started (very gently) squeezing through the maids legs. But I’m the end the two brothers (and Meadow) could do nothing as Star-Studded was crowded.
Once the crowd of maids ceased and left chatting amongst themselves. Star-Studded looked to see she was wearing a very fluffy dress. The dress was like a ball gown dress as it was colored bright yellow. Fluff was wrapped around the ends of the hoof sleeves, bottom of the dress, and neck as they we’re colored light green. With the same light green flower designs on the dress as well.
“Huh. Neat.” Star-Studded said,
“I’d say! Rarity needs those fashionista dress powers!” Meadow said. Both Blood Bones and Timidthy shuttered,
“No. The world would end if she gained that power.” Blood Bones said. Suddenly thought a knock came from the door,
“It’s open!” Meadow said. And Sweet-Song ran in with Celestia and Luna following,
“Hey guys….” She said but she trailed off almost immediately when she saw her marefriend. Star-Studded giggled,
“Long story. Continue?” Star-Studded said. Sweet-Song snapped out of her daze, with a hint of blush rising to her cheeks.
“Oh right! I gotta plan! But I need Blood Bones, Timidthy, Luna, AND Celestia’s help!” Sweet-Song said,
“Why do you need our help?” Blood Bones asked.
“You’ll see. But Star-Studded tomorrow there is Applewood Got Talent composition right?” Sweet-Song said,
“Uhh…..yes. I normally perform every year. Why do you ask?” Star-Studded replied.
“Yes I wouldn’t blame Star-Studded not to perform. News has traveled about her affair.” Luna said,
“Easy! Based on what I know there can be up to three judges. But since your all royalty I think the show would add one more judge. Star-Studded will go out and perform not only getting her supportive fans hyped. But winning back a few of her other fans.” Sweet-Song said, and everyone had went silent. Even Celestia’s eye’s we’re wide in shock.
Timidthy wore a green tux with a sparkly yellow bow around his neck. His hair was smoothed back with hair gel, the only part the refused to stay down was his cow-lick. Blood Bones wore a sparkling red tux with a plain purple bow, his hair was smoothed back as well. Luna was wearing a dress that matched her beautiful stars as the dress shined. Celestia wore a pure white dress as she and Luna had their hair in a bun.
The four all sat at the judges table as ponies we’re torn between talking to the four or talking to their stars. All the royal family had smiles on their faces despite the fact they we’re all very nervous on the inside. But that was nothing compared to how Star-Studded was feeling.
Star-Studded and Sweet-Song was in the backstage closet as Star-Studded’s entire body was shaking. The mare had recently took (another) bath as her mane, tail, and coat we’re still moist. Sweet-Song brushed her marefriend's mane,
“You’ll do great! Remember your true fans will stick by your side!” She said. Star-Studded looked up at her lover,
“Ho—How can you be sure?” She asked.
“I’m not…..I’m just hoping. You bring out my good side. When I was young I had given up on hope, my dreams, and…..my cutiemark. But thanks to you and Meadow you’ve brought out my good side.” Sweet-Song responded blushing slightly,
“Really?” Star-Studded said her eye’s widening.
“Yes. And I’m not gonna let you give up on yours. So come on let’s get you ready to put on the show of a lifetime!” Sweet-Song said kissing her marefriend on the horn, Star-Studded giggled as a smile came to her face.
Meadow saw the last performer pass her as she ran past her, she gulped as she ran out onto the stage.
“Alright everypony now our spe—” The announcer pony said until she saw Meadow,
“Umm…..little filly your not supposed to be up here.” The announcer pony said having an annoyed tone.
“I know but there’s one more performer.” Meadow said,
“Alright then who is it?” The announcer pony said lowering the microphone down to Meadow.
“Th—The next, and last performer is Star-Studded Ovation!” Meadow said clear nervousness was in her voice, everypony in the room gasped. And just as everypony gasped did all the stage lights make the stage a rose pink. Star-Studded walked out onto the stage wearing a bright magenta dress that had white glitter all over it. Star-Studded also had the front of her mane in a heart shaped while the back of her mane was in a ponytail. And walked to the center of all the lights in stage,
“Umm…..alright then! Everypony let’s see what Star-Studded has to offer!” The announcer pony said. She then got herself and Meadow off the stage as slow-paced pop music started to play. As Star-Studded started to sing:
I saw her
And my heart skipped a beat
She looked back
And my life felt complete
I never thought I’d ever be in love
But that all shattered when my heart pumped loud!
The music then picked up tempo.
We started dating and our love only grew!
But next thing we know it ends up on the news!
I felt humiliated and all washed out!
But no matter what hell I have to go through!
I’ll love you!
I’d give my stardom for you!
I’d give up my mark too!
I’d give up my life and world just to stay with you!
I love you!
Most ponies might find our love wrong!
But they can kiss my flank because our love is true!
So ponies who can’t handle the truth can just leave us be!
The music then slowed back down to its beginning tempo.
I love you
I’m doing this cause you gave me the courage to try
I love you
You make me want to fly
I love you
I’ll do anything for you
Because I love you!
And as Star-Studded stopped singing. And she realized Sweet-Song was right in front of her. She looked behind the mare. And looked to see that even the royal family was stunned. Star-Studded opened her mouth to speak, but was soon cut off when Sweet-Song kissed her. And that’s when Star-Studded’s mind went blank, everypony once again gasped.
Celestia, Meadow, and Luna's jaws had dropped while Timidthy’s wings had flew open his face flushed red. Blood Bone’s eye’s we’re wide, once he snapped out of the shock. He lit his horn and wrote a number on the white card in front of him. Finally his magic lifted the card as a pleased smile came to his face. Blood Bones then started pounding his front hooves against the chair and started cheering.
Everypony in the crowd looked at Blood Bones before Luna, Celestia, and Timidthy snapped out of their shock. The wrote their respective numbers out on their boards. And lifted them with their magic before they started to cheer as well. And just like that a domino effect happened. Meadow started cheering, and then the announcer did and next thing before anypony knew the entire crowd was cheering.
While some photographer ponies snapped picture and some news ponies we’re writing like mad. Once Star-Studded and Sweet-Song heard the cheering they finally separated. Star-Studded looked and saw that Celestia had given her a nine point five. Luna had given her a eight, Blood Bones had given her a ten. And finally Timidthy (who still had his wings open) held up a nine point eight.
Star-Studded felt tears of joy building in her eye’s; as Sweet-Song led her off the stage. Once they we’re in the back stage Star-Studded hugged Sweet-Song tightly. And cried into her chest,
“Thank you. Thank you Sweety you’re the best marefriend a pony could ask for.” Star-Studded said. Sweet-Song blushed vibrantly and smiled as she stroked her lovers mane,
“No problem. After all I love you just as much as you love me.” She said.
Star-Studded, Sweet-Song, and Meadow, and all her friends we’re all at Star-Studded’s mansion. As they all watched mover ponies bring in boxes from Sweet-Song and Meadow’s home. Blood Bones talked to Meadow,
“Okay so first thing tomorrow till the end of summer you’ll live in our mama’s castle right?” Blood Bones said.
“Yes. During school I will text you every day and write letters to you every day.” Meadow confirmed,
“A—And you promise that if anyone gives you a tough time at school you tell me. Cause I will murder who ever dares to hurt you!” Blood Bones said.
“I promise. And if I’m not too busy I will teleport to see you after school.” Meadow said,
“You better do all that stuff or else my brother might just die.” Timidthy said. Everyone snickered at Timidthy’s comment,
“Oh please! You’d want to move in with Sweet Dreams if she moved away!” Blood Bones said getting up to Timidthy’s face. The Prince of Therapy blushed and simply growled in response. Both Meadow and Sweet Song rolled their eye’s at their coltfriends silly arguments.
Meanwhile Sweet-Song and Star-Studded we’re both having a conversation of their own.
“I’m sure I could get you famous with your dance moves. Of course you wouldn’t be able to wear that cloak if you did.” Star-Studded said,
“I’m not sure about all that. But I guess I could give it a shot.” Sweet-Song said. As she leaned on Star-Studded, her marefriend wrapped a hoof around her.
The mares then looked over to see Timidthy and Blood Bones we’re still arguing.
“Oh you wish you we’re as lovable as me! Grown stallions and scared of yo—” Timidthy said, until Sweet Dreams used her wings to drag her coltfriend towards her. And she then french kissed the colt using her tongue to explore Timidthy’s mouth as much as possible. Timidthy’s wings shot open as he melted into the kiss, Blood Bones snickered.
“What a sap. Let me tell ya you’ll never see me lose my virginity li—” Blood Bones said, until Meadow got up on her home hooves and kissed Blood Bones just as passionately. Blood Bones’s wings sprung open just like his brother’s as he melted into the kiss as well. Star-Studded and Sweet-Song chuckled, while the other kid’s rolled their eye’s. Bumper then heard the newspaper hit the door as he levitated the newspaper over to them. Star-Studded and Sweet-Song then looked at the front of the newspaper.
And saw a picture of them kissing at the Applewood’s Got Talent competition. On the front it read,
Star-Song: Applewood's Number One Couple Is Brought Into The Spotlight.
Tommorow Will Be A Better Day
Celestia was just getting ready for bed as her doors we’re busted open. She turned around in shock as her eye’s landed on her son's; both had wide smiles on their faces.
“I did it! I did it! Star-Studded is finally calm again! She’s in the dinning room with Sweet-Song! Oh thank your name for once I can say I’m awesome!” Timidthy said, Blood Bones moved in front of his brother.
“Who cares about that!? Meadow is awake! They we’re able to save her horn the doctor is taking her to the dinning room! I’ve never felt so happy!” Blood Bones said as he flew up getting in his mother’s face, Celestia chuckled. She used her magic to get Blood Bones back on the ground.
“I’m very happy that your friends are now good and well. But next time I’d suggest you knock on the door and tell me calmly.” Celestia teased, Blood Bones and Timidthy smiled sheepishly as their mother walked them down the halls. When they got to the dinning room they saw Sweet-Song. She had Meadow in her lap as the little filly had thick gauze tied around her horn. She looked a bit tired but was forcing herself to stay awake. Star-Studded leaned on Sweet-Song shoulder just as exhausted as Meadow.
Blood Bones squealed as he flew at quickly and picked up Meadow mid-flight. The colt held her bridal style flapping his wings in the air. Meadow (now fully awake) hugged Blood Bones tightly.
“I’m so glad your awake! When the doctor told me you fell into a coma…..I—I thought you’d never wake up.” He said starting to tear up slightly, Timidthy bit his lip feeling his own eye’s gloss over at the thought. Meadow being stuck in a coma from days, weeks, years! Time forever passing her by as she was still mentally an eight year-old. And if the doctors had to…..they’d pull her plug she’d never even know why she had died. Timidthy shuttered and shook the idea out of his head,
“I’m glad your okay Meadow. I was able to get Star-Studded back to a calm men—” Timidthy said. Until Sweet-Song interrupted,
“And I’m glad you did. I missed Star-Studded.” Timidthy smiled sheepishly as his tail twitched,
“Well it was nothing speci….” Timidthy said trailing off. As Sweet-Song and Star-Studded kissed. Blood Bones and Celestia smiled, while Meadow facehoofed. Timidthy’s wing’s flared up as he had an odd look on his face; the colts cheeks flushed. Once the prince realized he’d been staring he mentally chastised himself.
He then desperately tried to get his wings down. Luckily Timidthy managed to get his wings down just as the couple realized what they we’re doing. They immediately separated,
“Oh! Sorry Timidthy! You we’re saying?” Star-Studded said. Her face going as red Timidthy’s,
“…….Oh! Umm…..nevermind….” The prince muttered.
“You alright?” Sweet-Song asked,
“I—I’m good.” Timidthy stammered.
“Yeah right! You just want Sweet Dreams to kiss you like that ya little slut!” Blood Bones teased, Timidthy’s wings pop up once again. He grinded his teeth together,
“Says the colt who has a little plush of his “daisy” I can only imagine what lewd things you do.” Timidthy retorted. Blood Bones eye’s narrowed he then levitated Meadow to the ground before flying in his brother’s face. To the point where the tips of their mussels we’re just barely touching.
“Oh! Like your such a saint! I distinctively remember somepony wrote a journal so lewd that’d I’d put Fifty Shades of Neighs to shame !” Blood Bones argued back, Timidthy’s face went ever redder. As it took him a moment to flap his wings and get himself up to his brother’s height. The prince of therapy cleared his throat,
“Please excuse us. We have something to settle.” Timidthy said. And him and his brother flew off to who knows where, Celestia chuckled.
“Those two. There entering their teenage years a bit early.” She said, “Anyway I must say it’s been a long while since I’ve seem a same-sex relationship.” Star-Studded, Sweet-Song, and Meadow blushed.
“Well it’s been pretty crazy. But I’d say they work well for one another.” Meadow said, Celestia chuckled.
“Well I’m happy you think so but it’s very late I’m sure all of you would like to go to bed.” Celestia said, Sweet-Song then jabbed Star-Studded in the side before leaving using her magic to levitate Meadow. Star-Studded sighed,
“Princess can I talk to you for a moment?” She said. Celestia nodded, Star-Studded looked around to make sure nopony was looking. She then sighed,
“My career is in jeopardy. Just because I’m in love and dating Sweet-Song. I……I just don’t understand. I knew that ponies would go on a rage fit when the found out. But……an angry mob invaded my house!” Star-Studded said. As tears we’re now streaming,
“I feel violated and humiliated! Why did those ponies do that!? Why does dating somepony of the same sex so difficult!? Why couldn’t ponies just stop—” Star-Studded continued until Celestia put a hoof to her mouth.
“Shhh. My little pony it’s because those ponies we’re jealous and angry and they let envy fuel them. The true fans that love you for who you are will stand up for you and Sweet-Song.” Celestia said, Star-Studded sniffed as a small smiled came to her face.
“Thank you princess.” She said, Celestia smiled warmly.
“Your welcome.” She said, “And goodnight.” Star-Studded smiled even wider she then walked away from the princess as fatigue set in once again. The tall mare soon found the guest room and entered it. And she was shocked to find Sweet-Song already in the bed; the mare was fast asleep. As Star-Studded could only assume Meadow was sleeping in Blood Bones’s bed. The tall mare then shut and locked the door; and Star-Studded carefully (if not awkwardly) got into the bed.
Star-Studded then turned on her belly as her eyes began to droop. And as she slowly fell into a blissful sleep. Her mind kept telling her:
‘Tomorrow would be a better day.’
