Date In The Forest
Back To Everfree Forest
Previous ChapterNext ChapterTwilight put on her Camp Everfree clothes that she wore from her trip, and left the house with Spike.
“Do you think I'm ready, Spike?” Twilight turned to her dog, still being nervous. Butterflies flew in her stomach when it came to moments like this. This was way important to impress someone who was charming at first glance.
“I'm sure you're ready, Twilight. I'm not coming with you because this is your night.”
Twilight sighed. “I never wanted you to come with me, but I'm always stressed. Ever since you got the ability to talk, you started to talk about girls and love.”
Spike retorted. “First of all, I'm was talking about girly dogs. And secondly, I only talked about love because I wanted you to make a robotic female dog.”
Twilight felt disgusted at Spike’s matters. “Spike, this night is about me and Timber! I thought you could maybe give me advice on taking out my feelings on him.”
“Well, the only thing I can give is tell him he's cute and very inspiring.”
“What makes him so inspiring?” Twilight asked.
Spike answered boldly. “You learning about love. I know it's hard to believe, but you always hang out with him. And, you almost kissed him in the Crystal cave.”
“Okay now, this is creeping me out!” Twilight was about to freak out until Spike calmed her down.
“Don't worry. He told you he's got a place just for you and him so no one can see you. I don't understand why he wants to be in a private place with you, but I can still think it's perfect.”
Twilight calmed down after hearing Spike’s advice before he handed her her jacket, wishing her luck on her night with Timber.
“I don't have anything to say. I hope your night will be wonderful...” Spike encouraged.
“Spike, thanks for be honest with me. I think I can handle this on my own.” She picked up Spike from the ground and hugged him, feeling less stress then usual. After she got out to the front door, she turned to Spike and waved goodbye.
Twilight left her home and began walking to Everfree Forest to meet Timber, who recently texted her to meet her in the cafeteria. She took the entrance to the surrounded by so much pressure building in her chest.
“You can do this, Twilight. Stop losing your confidence. I have to make this night the best night of my life!” She said to herself on her way to her destination. Of course, she has come to a point of no return.
Twilight arrived at Camp Everfree and made her way into the cafeteria where Timber was at. She took her time with her steps to the building, feeling very scared but confident. As soon as she walked up to the door and knocked on it, Timber answered it before seeing her in light surprise.
“Hey Twilight.” He greeted excitedly.
“Hi Timby.” Twilight greeted with a blush, embarrassed when she accidentally called him Timby. Timber also blushed, but smiled at her. He then let her in the cafeteria while she sat by the tables. Timber carried some bags full of supplies on the tables just for the both of them.
“Timber, what's in the bags?” Twilight wondered.
“That's for us. I'll show you them when the time comes...” Timber sat by Twilight as he took out his lunch bag, Inside has two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, typically. He hands Twilight one of the sandwiches and they both eat them. Twilight was still blushing after what she said seconds ago, but she would eventually get over it.
“Thanks for giving me this, Timber.”
“It was nothing. I just thought you didn’t had dinner tonight, so I want to be helpful for our first date.”
Twilight smiled a little as she continued to eat her sandwich. Timber was feeling very depressed that Twilight wasn't impressed yet for their first date.
“Aren't you happy?” Timber looked at Twilight.
“Of course, I’m happy! It's just that…I just got nothing planned for us to do. This is my first time that I’m going someone on a date and…..” She stopped again, making Timber really confused. She stopped because she was indeed off about this date thing. Even worse was that she didn't think of any plans for what they were going to do tonight.
“You mean, you never had a date with someone?” Timber asked.
“Yes, that’s what I’m trying to tell you.” Twilight sighed.
Timber eyed her closer. “Don't worry. I’ve been on dates before, and they had their first. I sometimes feel disappointed when I’m always around girls who had their first date with me. But unlike them, you're really special...”
Twilight laugh awkwardly. “Ha ha ha ha ha… you're really funny, Timber.” Indeed, Timber wasn’t joking.
“No, I’m really serious.”
“Wait, really?” She blushed again.
Timber nodded. “The girls I date were really mean to me, to be honest. I just thought they were very sweet when I first saw them. But, they forced me to do their choices and give them money during our dates.”
“That’s actually really nasty!” Twilight said. “I can’t believe your dates were the worst.”
“That’s what I’m always saying. And whenever I get the chance to break up with them, they get so pissed off, they come close to punching me right in the face!” Timber commented.
Twilight’s eyes widened, feeling sad with everything that happened to him.
“Ohh.. you really feel so miserable during your dates. Why were they so mean?”
“They used me just so they can be popular at school. And yeah, I know. Almost every girl at my school are ungrateful to me.” Timber got off of the table and looked out the window. Twilight felt sorry for Timber, and was willing to get those memories out of his mind.
“Do you want me to make you feel better?”
“What do you mean?” Timber wondered, turning his head. He also noticed that Twilight’s eyes were half-lidded, aiming right at his.
“I can do anything you want me to...” She walked up to him with both of her hands landing on his face making him blush is delight.
Timber blinked, blushing lightly. “Okay. But, I think we should go somewhere beautiful, just for the both of us.”
“Okay. Great idea.” Twilight nodded. Timber grabbed the bags that are still on the table, knowing what Twilight was talking about.
“I think you're going to love our first date.” Timber guaranteed. He then held Twilight's hand in his as they get out of the cafeteria and Timber leads the way on where they're going.
