I open my eyes only to be blinded by a bright white light. I use my hands to shade my eyes as I try to blink away the slight headache the bright light gave me. After a few seconds of blinking my vision starts to return and my headache starts to dissapear.

"Where am I?" I ask.

In reality what came out was something vastly different. What actually came out was a rough cough. I rub my throat, confused at the odd cough that just happened. I try to talk again.

"*cough*" I choke as I try to talk.

A tear rolls down my face as I try to breathe. My throat feels tight and raw. Almost like I had swallowed a bone while eating some fish and it had been lodged inside. I pat my chest as I let out another cough.

After a few seconds I finally manage to get my breathing back under control.

I take a look around me and notice that I'm surrounded by woodland. Trees, Bushes and grass surround me from all sides. The grass is everywhere except underneath me. In fact there is a large burn mark in the shape of a perfect circle around me. I touch the ground. It feels soft, almost pillow like.

'Where the hell am I?'

"Why are we going into the Everfree again? Last time we came here it didn't go so well." Sweetie Belle points out.

"She's right. Last time we came here there was a Manticore." Scootaloo groans.

"Ah know there was. But something here is just.... Ah don't know. It's almost like tha forest is tryna tell me ta go in." Apple Bloom says as a chill travels down through her body.

"I can kinda feel it. Something here feels.... Different?" Sweetie Belle mumbles.

Scootaloo and Apple Bloom both turn to face Sweetie Belle.

"Well.... More then normal I mean." Sweetie Belle sighs.

"I feel it too. Something here.... I don't know.... It feels.... Feels........ Lost? Do you guys feel it too?" Scootaloo asks her voice carrying a hint of worry.

"Mhm." Apple Bloom confirms.

"it also feels. Lonely. I think we should leave. It's not right here." Sweetie Belle says as she takes a step back towards the edge of the forest.

"Ah gotta agree. Ah don't like how this feels." Apple Bloom says as she follows Sweetie Belle in taking a step back.

*Roar*

"Ahhhhhh!" Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom scream as the turn around and run.

Scootaloo is planted to the spot in terror. Sweat drips down from her mane and down her face.

*Roar. Roar. Roar. Roar. Roar. Roar. Cough. Roar. Roar.*

Scootaloo is so terrified that tears well up in her eyes.

A solid minute passes by as she stands frozen in terror, crying. A creature stumbles through the bush a few metres in front of her onto it's face.

"Ahhhhhhhhh!" She screams.

*Cough.*

She clamps her eyes shut as tears flow from her eyes.

*Grunt*

She keeps her eyes closed as her panic starts to make her legs shake.

*Pained breath*

As soons as Scootaloo hears this her panic lowers a little. She can open her eyes enough to see the creature. The creature is laid on it's back clutching at it's chest as it takes in a painful sounding breath. Scootaloo's panic is then replaced with a tinge of worry. Worrying if the creature was okay and if it would hurt her.

"Urm...." She takes a shaky step towards the creature. "A-Are you okay?"

*Cough* The creature holds at it's throat.

"Wait. So that wasn't a roar I heard.... That was you coughing.... You have no idea how much you scared me." Scootaloo chuckles.

*Pained breath*

"I need to find Flutttershy! She'll be able to help you. She's good with animals." Scootaloo points out.

The creature then pushes itself back onto it's long clothing covered hind legs.

"You're like a really tall monkey. With less hair. And less.... tail." Scootaloo points out.

The creature gives a look of contimplation. Then nods it's head.

"So.... Your a monkey?" Scootaloo asks.

The creature shakes it's head.

"Then what are you?"

*Cough* *Grunt* Is the only reply Scootaloo gets from the creature.

"You look like you need a drink. Your throat sounds all rough. Like when I get a cold and I get a soar throat. Oh! That must be the problem! You have a really bad soar throat! I mean.... Not like it's gonna make much of a difference. I don't speak monkey so I don't think we could talk but I can help you get rid of your cough." Scootaloo says with a proud smile.

The tall creature nods it's head as it takes a seat on a dead tree stump.

"I'll be back with a glass of water!" Scootaloo says as she runs away from the creature and towards the exit of the forest.

'It's weird that I can understand it. I must have got really lucky and found something that talks like me..... I wonder what else I can understand. It might be able to help me learn somethings as well.... Like where I am.... What I am.... I mean I'm not the same as her. I feel like I should be.... Shocked or something. Something in me keeps wanting to panic. But why? If I can understand it then I must have always been able to understand them. Right? I mean yeah. Obviously I could. But something at the back of my mind keeps saying that I shouldn't be able to understand it. Wait.... What am I doing.... I'm talking to myself....'

I sit still on the tree stump, watching all of the life of the forest around me as it lives it's normal daily life.

'Gah! Why can't I remember anything?! I can't remember a damn thing! *Sigh*. I guess. Maybe. I'll get some answers after I have a drink.'

A few minutes go by as I sit on the tree stump. Contemplating my current position and trying to remember anything about my past and about myself.

"I'm back!" The orange creature shouts as it bursts through the bushes coming to a stop in front of me with a weird little bag strapped to it's side. "Here!"

It opens the bag and pulls out a bottle filled with water with it's mouth. It then holds out the bottle, the lid of the bottle held firmly between it's teeth.

I reach forward and gently grab the bottle. It gently lets go of the bottle letting me have it. I grab the lid and as fast I can, I open the bottle and start to chug the whole thing. Seconds pass by as I drink the whole bottle without a break. my throat, which felt rough and painful. Now feels smooth and relieved.

I cough as I pat my chest.

"Do you feel any better?" The orange creature asks me.

I nod as I take a second to catch my breath.

"Okay. Well I'm gonna go now. Good luck out there!" The little orange creature happy chirps.

"Wait!" I call out.

The little orange creatures ears flop down to the sides of it's head.

"I need some help. Can you help me?" I ask.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
