Gohan pov

I floated above the ground of the friendship castle as I waited for my new student. I told him I'd be waiting outside at the crack of dawn to start his training. I expected though he's an hour late to start.

"What are you doing out here so early Gohan?"

I turned my head and was face to face with Rainbow Dash as she flapped her wings. I looked back to the castle, a little annoyed. "Waiting for Spike who is an hour late. I swear if Twilight weren't a princess I would have blown that door up forty minutes ag…" I stopped at the front door, slammed into the wall, and Spike ran out dressed and ready to go but had feared I'm his eye.

"Get back here Spike!"

I watched as Twilight chased Spike out the door with bags and books in her arms and magic.

"I know I made you late, but you have to be ready for anything!"

"Leave me alone already!"

Spike ran towards Fluttershy's and my house as Twilight chased him. I could hear Rainbow beside me laughing as she watched. I sighed and started to fly home. "I better go and save him."

"Oh, I'm not missing this."

We flew above them as they ran. Spike was trying to lose her as he ran around the hills. I noticed that he was running with something on his back. He had what looked like a long wooden sword. I instant transmission to appear in front of Spike. He stopped running in front of me, then I grabbed his shoulder. "Time to go." I used instant transmission again. We appeared in the everfree forest far away from ponyville, so no one would stop his training.

"Master Gohan?"

I looked down at him as he looked around us. "Today starts your training, Today we're going to stay here and train you in energy control. Get into the meditation stance and try and call on your energy."

"Yes, master Gohan."

He sat down in the sunlight; there was as I started to gather firewood. While I gathered up the wood, Spike kept still and silent. I noticed his Ki going up a little every five minutes or so. I looked over at him and saw a bright red ball of Ki between his hands. 'That is unusual.' A natural Ki energy would be yellow or maybe blue. His is energy was red, and it was stronger than I had thought it was as well. 'He may be stronger than I first thought.' I smiled as I finished getting wood and got the fire started as he opened his eyes and saw the ball of ki in his hands. He smiled as, but he moved his hands apart, and the energy vanished.

"I did it!"

He jumped up and cracked his head on a low-hanging branch. He fell to the ground holding his head as I nodded my head side to side and rubbed my eyes. "We have a long way to go." I stood up and helped him to his feet. I helped him over to the fire and had him sit there. "I'll go get dinner, I will be back in a second." I used Instant Transmission to go back to my house and appeared in my living room, scaring Twilight and Applejack. I quickly walked past them and grabbed a few pounds of Fish then used Instant Transmission to go back to Spike.

"That was fast."

I smiled as I looked at Spike as he sat in front of the fire. I grabbed my sword, then stabbed it through the Fish and stabbed the butt of the sword into the ground, leaving the Fish over the fire to cook.

"What is that?"

"Fish. Now, first for what we're going to do is testing your potential with ki."

"Right master Gohan."

As the Fish cooked, I looked at the clothes spike was wearing, and they wouldn't do. What I had planed was going to put him through hell. I stood up as he took a bite into one of the pieces of Fish that were done. "Stand up Spike." He chewed the Fish as he stood up, and before he could react, I shot him with a beam. His clothes changed was like my outfit now.

"What was that!?"

He looked down at his new Gi, and I poked the mark on the left part of his chest. "This mark is my school's mark Spike wear it with pride and strength." I pulled my hand back, and he smiled as he patted the mark.

"I promise Master."

We went to sleep after we ate the Fish. Spike seemed to love the taste as he ate more than half of it. When we woke up, I kicked Spike off the ground, wake him with a scream.

"AH!"

He crashed into a tree then coughed as he looked up at me on his hands and knees.

"M-master?!"

I formed a ball of ki in my hand as I looked down at him. "It's clear you have a talent for energy so you better learn to call on it quickly we're starting!" I threw the attack as he screamed, getting up running as fast as he could as the blast exploded close behind him. I flew behind him as he had his hands close together, trying to call on his energy. He was struggling, and I smiled, thinking of that time Piccalo threw me at a mountain. I created a few orbs of energy then threw my arms down, sending them all around him as he ran. When they started going off, his Ki exploded as he turned then sent a weak blast at me. I landed then slapped the energy away, making it hit the side of a tree, exploding in with fire instead of blowing up like mine.

"RAGHHHH!"

He jumped at me, fist clenched as he swung his right fist, but I quickly sidestepped the punch, but it connected with a tree. A blast of Ki flames flew out, making me think it was his natural flames mixing with his Ki as he started to very quickly speed up. 'Hm, he may have a real talent for fighting.' I grabbed the arm as he swung too wide, then kicked him in the gut and sent him rolling as his energy faded. I flew above him as he got up, fangs showing as claws came from his hands. 'Interesting.' More Ki came from his body, then he jumped, cracking and breaking the ground. I dodged the slash of his claws, then spun in the air and grabbed hold of his tail. I threw him back to the ground then hit him with a weak Ki blast. Once the smoke cleared from the area, I saw him face down on the ground, his Gi half-destroyed but breathing. He didn't seem to be wounded either. "Tougher than he looks." I landed, then he spun and shot a blast out of his mouth. I threw my body back, letting the attack pass over. I laughed as I leaned back up, looking down at a tired Spike. I smiled as I looked down at him a laugh, leaving my lips. "My my, with a threat your body seems to know what to do." He huffed as his claws retracted, and his fangs seemed to go back into his gums.

"Master?"

I smiled as I walked over to him. "Seems I was right guessing your body would react faster than your mind. Now, let's see if you can pick up on powering up at will."

One week later, Gohan pov.

I smiled as I looked at Spike as he floated about the ground, eyes closed, sweating from the energy control training's effect. 'He doing incredible well.' I smiled, then stood up, cracked my knuckled, then grabbed a branch. I lowered my energy as I walked over to him branch raised it. I smacked him on the shoulder, and he screamed as he fell to the ground holding the shoulder. He groaned as he looked up at me with annoyance on his face.

"What the heck Master!?"

I smiled as I rested my branch on my shoulder as I watched him. "You've got a great hold on energy control, but you need to work on focusing not only that but sensing other energies. I pulled a blindfold from my Gi then threw it down to him. I smiled as I looked down at him as I watched the color drain from his scales. "Let's start working on that right now."

"W-wait a second!"

I laughed as I looked at him then nodded as I looked at him, then an idea came to mind. "How about this then Spike. If you can dodge ten of these strikes then we'll go see everyone and get some sweets." He smiled as he looked up at me, then grabbed the blindfold and tied it around his head. I smiled as Spike stood from the ground as I started to walk around him using a tiny amount of energy, keeping my feet off the ground by a few millimeters, so no sound was made. I smiled then struck him on the stomach, making him cough, but he didn't fall this time. I spent the next hour just hitting him over and over until he managed the ten then fell to the ground with some bruise on his arms and abdomen. I smiled as I keeled down, dropping the now cracked and busted up stick, then put two fingers on my forehead. “Nice work” I put my hand on his shoulder. A second later, we landed in Twilight's throne room, scaring the girls. He grounded as he got off the ground and I laughed as I set my feet back on the floor.

“Everything hurts.”

I laughed as the girls circled around him. “Time for sweets.” I grabbed him as he stood up and I started to drag him behind me.
