“Chapter 1: Shining Armor learns about Murphy’s Law”

Intro: Just Communication (From Gundam Wing):

Crystal Empire, Equestria

Today was just an ordinary day for the Crystal Empire of Equestria as with the recent incident regarding a rogue unicorn named Sunset Shimmer taken care of, life in Equestria was pretty normal if not dull for one certain unicorn named Shining Armor.

Shining Armor was the son of the ponies Night Light and Twilight Velvet, older brother of Twilight Sparkle, and was currently the husband of Princess Cadence the Alicorn of Love making him Prince Shining Armor by marriage, but he preferred the term Prince Consort.

He was a white unicorn male with blue eyes, had a cutie mark with a dark blue knight shield with a six-pointed star on it with a few around it, and his mane was that of three different shades of blue including indigo blue, teal blue, and normal blue.

Getting up from his seat in his room that he shared with his beloved Princess Cadence, he decided to see what was being done with the magical artifact called the Mirror Portal as since the attempted theft of the element of Magic by a former student of Princess Celestia named Sunset Shimmer, he wasn’t taking any chances.

Walking down the various corridors, he signed with amusement on how many times he had gotten lost when he and his wife first moved into the Crystal Palace.

After some time, he found where the Mirror Portal was located and found it was currently being examined by his sister Twilight Sparkle with her dragon assistant Spike looking rather bored.

“What are you two up to this time?” Shining Armor asked.

“Nothing much really, Twilight’s been on this whole other worlds, dimensions, and universes thing since last week and I’ve been stuck as the designated lab rat.” Spike said in a deadpanned voice.

Shining Armor’s gaze however fell on the purple Alicorn that was clad in the usual garb for a scientist while looking over a chalk drawings that she had just wrote the words “GUNDAM UNIVERSES”. That Alicorn was his younger sister Twilight Sparkle who had just finished writing the words “Gundam Universe: After Colony”.

Further reading it, Shining Armor saw the other following entries that Twilight had written down and were recent with some being larger in font than others on the chalk board Twilight had out:

“Gundam Universe: Universal Century.”

“Gundam Universe: Regild Century.”

“Gundam Universe: After War Era.”

“Gundam Universe: Future Century.”

“Gundam Universe: Cosmic Era.”

“Gundam Universe: Correct Century.”

“Gundam Universe: Anno Domini.”

“Gundam Universe: Advanced Generation.”

“Gundam Universe: Build Fighters.”

“Gundam Universe: Post Disaster Era.”

“What’s this Gundam Universes what are all of these? What is Gundam?” Shining Armor asked.

“It’s something that has Twilight asking about it herself using the Magic Mirror to observe these Gundam worlds or dimensions populated by humans that fight in wars that aren’t very black and white. The exception appears to be for the Build Fighters Era one. As for what is Gundam, it is a giant robot type of machine that has different forms in different eras.” Spike said.

Shining Armor began to walk over to the magical device to see for himself to see what Twilight and Spike were researching that unknown to him, a little thing called Murphy’s Law was about to hit him; anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

“Spike, are you sure-“

The Prince Consort of Princess Cadence didn’t finish his sentence that he was speaking when he tripped over a bowel of gems Spike had put down on the floor causing him to stumble and before Twilight could use her magic, Shining Armor went straight into the portal and vanished.

“SHINING ARMOR!” Twilight and Spike shouted together.

Princess Cadence then appeared upon hearing the commotion and ran towards the pair wondering what had just happened to her beloved husband as she then quickly spoke up.

“What happened? Where’s my Shiny?!”

They all looked to see that the Magical Mirror portal had just configured itself to the Gundam Universe: After-Colony that unknown to Princess Cadence, it was the era of Gundam Wing and Shining Armor was about to be thrust into the middle of it.

“We need to save him!” Princess Cadence shouted.

“I’m sorry, but it’s constantly shifting to show different Gundam universes that if we were to go now, who knows where we all might end up. I’ll contact Celestia to let her know about this.” Twilight said.

On the other hand, for Shining Armor, he felt stretched and pulled as he traveled through the space between his world and the one he was going to be sent towards.

Seconds later, Shining Armor was spat out of the portal that in the After-Colony Era resembled a statue resembling a human female ridding an eight-legged horse.

Groaning as he got up, Shining Armor got the shock of his life when he looked at his front hooves they weren’t hooves anymore along with his fur as it was no longer the color of his normal form, but an olive skin color tone.

“Okay, what is going on?” Shining Armor asked himself.

He staggered up and to his surprise, he found out that he didn’t have his tail or his horn as on top of that, his hooves were now feet as he stood up and looked for a mirror of some kind.

Shining Armor at first struggled to walk on his hind legs, but then recalled that Minotaurs were like that and after a few awkward steps, he found his footing and found a nearby creek to which he then saw his reflection for the first time.

He still had his eyes and his mane or hair rather was still the same color as his pony form, but his outfit was different as he appeared to be clad in light gray dress pants, black dress shoes, a white dress shirt, red vest, and a light gray suit jacket with a black tie.

“Well, at least I look nice.” Shining Armor said to himself.

Before he could think, a loud sound got his attention and turning to the source he found what looked like a battle going on between two armies of giant robots.

Deciding not to get involved, Shining Armor ran as far away from it as possible as he wanted to get away but then he ran face-first into the leg of a giant robot and fell on his butt.

When he looked up, he saw it was one of those giant robots clad in an olive-green color pattern though it didn’t speak to him and instead tried to stomp on him prompting him to run further and unknowingly into the battlefield further.

Shining Armor didn’t get far when another giant robot blocked his path but this time it wasn’t appearing to let him get far as it raised it’s cannon on its right arm at the Equestrian…

Author's Note

The first chapter of Shining Wing.

As you can see, poor old Shining Armor has ended up in the Gundam Wing universe. The story is taking place around the time Epyon makes his debut.

The story was initially planned to be anthro, but I decided against that in the end as to attract a large audiences since anthro stories don't get good reviews.

Next chapter will have Shining Armor meet Heero, Trieze, and get himself involved in the war in the After Colony Era as the Aquarius Gundam appears.
