Chapters Learning True History (An Equestrian Civil War Story)
"This is bull crap, not a single pony can even give us a little bit of information about it. It's always the same old everypony coming together then everything's fine, no background knowledge of how that even happened", Scootaloo complained as she slowly rode her scooter.
"Well maybe that is how it happened, I wouldn't doubt it if it was", Sweetie Belle said, as she trotted alongside Scootaloo and Applebloom.
"Well, apparently not even Twilight knows, or even has a book about the war". Applebloom frowned as she remembered when they asked Twilight for any kind of knowledge on the topic they were curious about, only to get the same response every other ponies been giving. That it all worked out peacefully, and that's all you need to know. "Heck, maybe that is how it happened".
Scootaloo shook her head rapidly. "No, I don't believe it. Everypony acts strange when the topics brought up and I can sense that there's more to it. They don't call it a war for nothing".
"You know, you're right, it's strange that we can't find any book on it, or even any other conflicts as a matter of fact. The war with Sombra, the Changeling war, or even the infamous Nightmare Moon war". Sweetie belle said.
"Ahh shucks, just forget it girls. It's probably kept away from us for a good reason. Let's go to the treehouse" Applebloom said. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle looked at eachother, then nodded at Applebloom as they made their way to the farm.

The three fillies trotted along the grass towards their tree house. The sight of the brown wooded coop brought smiles upon the fillies faces after an unsuccessful day of searching for answers.
"Hey girls, do you think-" Scootaloo cut off her sentence after hearing the sound of a dark laughter emanating from no where. The other girls froze as well, as they listened to the sound. Without any warning, a cloud of grey smoke erupted infront of the trio, and the sight of a very well know Draconequus appeared under the layer of smoke.
"What the heck Discord"? Scootaloo blurted out.
"It's nice to see you too", Discord said with a smile as he stretched his long body out. "So, I hear you're trying to find answers for a long forgotten event". The fillies turned their frowning faces into looks of curiosity.
"You know about the Equestrain Civil War"? All three fillies yelled out.
"Why, my dears, I know everything ". The last line that came out of Discord sounded demonic, and his yellow eyes brightened a bit, which caused the three fillies to grow a bit nervous. "Really nopony besides Celestia and Luna know about it, and even they don't know a lot. But believe me when I tell you, there's a good reason that they don't".
The three fillies sat around Discord, and listened intently at whatever he had to say. He grinned, as an idea was forming in his head. An awfully chaotic idea.
"So the war began when the earth ponies complained about being treated unfairly". He looked down at Applebloom and gave her a diabolical smile. "My dear, you're kind was not looked high upon, and they were treated like dogs. Needless to say, they had it the worst in the war". Applebloom just stared at Discord, not truly understanding what he meant. "Long story short, they rebelled against both Pegasi and Unicorns, and thus the war began". He shifted his direction towards Scootaloo.
"Ahhh yes, the Pegasus. You're kind joined the war when the Unicorns decreased the pay rate at the weather factories. During the beginning of the war, you all were actually in the lead for the victor, but when the bow and arrow was invented, you all dropped like flies". Scootaloos face froze at the implication of murder. Although ponies knew what it was, it was not a common or comfortable thing to discuss. Discords grin widned, as he turned to Sweetie Belle.
"Finally the Unicorn". His smile faded away and was replaced with a look of absolute anger. "You don't even want to know what you're kind did, or else you'd probbaly want to cut that horn of yours off". Sweetie Belle shrunk in fear under Discords shadow. The Draconequus continued to glare, before smiling again and turning around.
"When Celestia was born, the war ended and everypony became friends, just like your school teaches you. They just don't tell you what lead up to that, since nopony really knows". He glanced back at the trio with a smile. "Do you fillies want to be the only ponies in Equestria who know the full truth"? He asked. The cursaders slolwy nodded their heads, as curiosity now flooded them.
"Excellent", Discord said. "If you really want to know what happened, then Why DON'T YOU JUST SEE FOR YOURSELVES"! His eyes turned completely yellow, and a dark storm cloud formed over the field. A strong wind began blowing, as if a tornado was approaching, and Discord began to levitate higher off the ground. He began talking in a language that the trio didn't understand.
"THIS WAS A STUPID IDEA, WE SHOULDN'T HAVE LISTENED TO DISCORD OF ALL CREATURES "! Scootaloo yelled at her friends, as the wind was beginning to grow stronger and stronger. The trees began to fly off the ground and into a spinning vortex that was above Discord. Soon, almost all of ponyville began to get sucked into it.
The terrified trio rose off the ground, and started to levitate towards Discord. Upon meeting eye level with Discord, he opened his yellow eyes and gave the trio an evil smirk.
"You will return, but when you do I can't guarantee you'll be the same fillies you are right now". The trio just stared at him, not knowing what he met.
"Return? But where the heck are we going"? Applebloom yelled out. She was answered with a dark, and deep chuckle, before the trio rose higher and closer to the spinning spiral. When they entered it, they were met with nothing but blackness.
Applebloom looked over at her friends, who shared the same terrified expression. Before she knew it, they were all drifting away from each other, until she completely lost sight of them. Just as Applebloom calmed her breathing down, her eyes began to shut and before she knew it, she was in a deep sleep.

"Uhh....uhhh"
Applebloom slowly opened her eyes, as her head was still woozy from..whatever it was that happened. She realized she was laying down on a stash of hay in the middle of some town. She was wearing a dark grey rag as some sort of scarf, and a beat up white sack that was wrapped around her torso. Dirt covered her face, and her hair was tangled and messy. She didn't have her pink bow, and she was covered in dirt and ash from head to hoof.
She looked around the town, which was claustrophobic and beyond filthy. The atmosphere was dark and depressing, and not a single bright color shined amongst the darkness. It was the exact opposite of ponyville. The ponies were all earth ponies, and each and everyone of them looked equally as filthy and emotionless. She looked up at the sky and frowned. It was a nasty dark orange color, and the clouds were all black. In the distance she could see smoke and hear the sound of thunder.
"Do ya think them sons of bitches will make it over here"? A nearby colt said. Applebloom shifted her direction to a colt and a mare leaning up against a wall and looking at the black smoke in the distance. Both were a dark grey dirty color.
"It's hard to say, but I reckon they won't. We just got a large shipment of bows and arrows from Applelossa", the mare said, still staring at the smoke.
"Still, we ain't got much food left, and apparently a new disease is shifting its ugly head 'round the town". The colt forwned as he looked around the area. A lot of ponies were coughing and throwing up blood on the street. "Plus, we ain't got no where to put the dead. So it ain't helping us none when they leave them bodies in the street. Also them fucking dirty flying Pegasus gots themselves a new little invention. They flying 'round and dropping bags full of flaming rocks, but get this, them rocks are exploding on impact".
"The hell kinda rocks they got"?
"We don't know, but they raisin hell on towns across the lands. Even the Unicorns are facing some heavy casualties from them". The mare smiled at the news of that.
"How is the northern fight with the Unicorns going"? She asked. The colt frowned and shook his head, which caused the mare to lower her head and drop her ears.
"THEY'RE BACK". Applebloom shifted her attention away from the two. She saw a large crowd gathering towards the entrance of the town. Up the hill and coming down was a large Calvary of earth ponies. Some where as old as Big Mac and Applejack, while others where only little fillies, no older then the crusaders. They were all wearing torn up rags and had white bags wrapped around their torsos. Some where pulling wooden carts that contained something that was hidden under some red stained blankets. Other ponies were limping or being carried.
Applebloom stood on a barrel to get a better view. She was still beyond confused of where she was and what was going on, but upon glimpsing at the ponies returning from wherever they went, she immediately knew exactly what was going on.
"Why that piece of crap Discord". Applebloom gritted her teeth, but then looked terrified as her current situation sunk in. She was in the Equestrian Civil War, the war nopony even rembered, and now feeling the tone around her, she began to realize why. Her realization was confirmed when seeing the earth ponies entering town. It was a sight Applebloom had never seen, and was something that no pony shouldn't have to lay eyes on in their life.
The ponies were covered in blood, and looked lifeless. In the cart and under the blankets were ponies. Mares, Stallions and Fillies, all dead and covered in blood. One of the fillies legs were blown off, and his eyes were sunken into blackness. Next to his lifeless body was a mare, probably in her early teens. Half of her face was burnt off, and her skull was starting to show. One of her eyes were bright red, and devoid of any life. Flies hovered around the carts and the wounded. Mothers teared up in front of their husbands or children's dead bodies, while others grew nervous. The nervous ones would be the next poor batch of souls to head out into the fight.
Stallions and mares were grabbing their bags and heading out of their houses to join the calavary. Some were kissing their loved ones goodbye, fearing that they might never see them again. Others had no family. A majority of the fillies didn't. Pitch forks, spears, swords, almost everything was a weapon, and one of the carts were full of them.
Applebloom didn't know how to process everything she was seeing. It was so surreal to her. She had never seen so much sadness and death in one location. She had never seen a dead body, let alone a mutilated one, and it made her tear up.
She hopped off the barrel and vomited on floor, causing some rats to scatter off into the buildings. "They had it the worst", she rembered what Discord said. It indeed was an awful display of living. Applebloom hadn't even witnessed any fighting and she already felt the gravity of the war. In the 5 minutes that she's been in this small town, she has already seen more death then anypony back home probably will ever see. She felt sick, and cold. She wanted to go back home now, as she quietly sobbed and pleaded.
"I've seen enough, please, I don't want to be here". She was met with silence, save for the crying that was coming from the crowd. Just as Applebloom was about to start pouring tears, a loud BOOM woke her right back to reality.
"THOSE FUCKERS ARE HERE"!
"THEY'RE ATTACKING US"!
"WE AINT READY"!
Screaming and shouting rose from all directions. Everypony was running for their dear lives as buildings blew up.
"MAN THE GATLING"! A scratchy voice yelled. Applebloom saw two mares running towards a building. Ontop of the structure was a large crossbow like Gatling gun. Within seconds the two mares began opening fire at the sky. Applebloom's eyes followed the wave of arrows approaching a swarm of Pegasus. They flew over the city and dropped those "exploding rocks" the colt was talking about. One flew right ontop of the gun stationed on the building, and within seconds it exploded. The two mares bodies flew over the edge, both missing their lower torso and legs.
Smoke began covering the town, as more and more rocks blew up within it. Bodies were flying all over the place with missing appendages. Some of the poor souls were still alive, begging for help as all four of their legs were missing. Others laid amongst the ruble of buildings, completely lifeless.
After a while of standing in shock, Applebloom finally snapped out of it, and began running to wherever safety seemed present. She passed by headless and dead ponies, destroyed infrastructures and large fires. She even passed the dead bodies of the mare and colt that she overheard when she first woke up in this hellish reality.
The sound of a Pegasus wings flapping grew louder and louder from behind Applebloom, until they flew right over head, releasing a flaming rock from a white bag. Appleblooms eyes followed the rock, as it slowly fell to the ground right in front of her. Time seemed to move slow at that moment. Her hoofs couldn't stop in time before the rock exploded and a wave of fire engulfed Applebloom. She flew back into a wall as she could feel almost every bone in her body shatter. One of her lower legs ripped right off, and a river of blood began to flow from it. Upon hitting the wall, she fell right onto her stomach and just laid there on the dirt.
Appleblooms vision became blurry, and her breathing seemed to be distant and slow. She could see the swarm of Pegasus leaving behind the destroyed villiage. Dead bodies laid infront of her, and soon she would join them.
She could feel her heart slow down its beat. Her vision grew darker and darker until all she could see was blackness. She could now only hear the slow beating of her heart, until it beated no more.

Warning- just thought I should warn some of you that this chapter can get a bit heavy, especially on the language.
3- Scootaloo
"AGHHH"!
Scootaloo awoken from her deep sleep. She was drenched in sweat and breathing heavily.
"Whe- where am I"? The confused Pegasus looked around in all directions. She was sitting in the middle of a large empty dead area. The ground was hard and dry, the sky was a brownish color, and a light fog wrapped around the area. It seemed as if it were a wasteland.
She looked down at her self in confusion. "What the hay is this"? She was wearing a silver armor chest plate and pads, and a silver spartan type helmet rested on top of her head. Unlike the earth ponies, the Pegasus had armor and professional armies, but living in a cloud city was still a living nightmare.
Scootaloo noticed something dangiling from her side. She looked down and realized it was a sword. A sudden dread washed over the filly, as she finally understood what was going on. The apocalypse like setting, the sword, the armor.
"Discord! That son of a- he actually had the nerve to do it". Scootaloo stomped her hoof on the floor, still looking around for any signs of life. It was hard to see due to the fog and dark skies. The sun was blocked by large clouds of black smoke. She looked up in disgust at the clouds crossing by. They were a dirty black color, probably from all the smoke coming from the land. Unfortunately, Pegasus lived on those polluted clouds, so Scootaloo could only imagine how it was up there. She walked in a random direction, hoping to find anything in the wasteland.
"What the-" Scootaloo felt something squishy from under her hoofs. She looked down, only to immediately regret it. Laying on the floor was a dead Pegasus. Half his head was blown off, and his wings were bent in an unnatural way. Blood was oozing from his missing skull, and dark pink brain matter was scattered across the floor.
"Oh sweet Celestia"! Scootaloo shook her head and began running away from the lifeless body, but soon tripped over a rock and landed into a large hole dugged within the earth. She could feel her body touching something warm, something wet. She lifted her head up slolwy, trying to see what she was in. Her eyes widened at the sight, and she could feel vomit rising up her throat and out of her mouth.
She was lying in a large grave hole, filled with dead Pegusas bodies. She began hyperventilating, and her vision began to blur. Fillies, mares, colts, all were dead in this hole. A majority of them had arrows shot through them. One filly had three arrows lodged through his throat. While one mare had almost five arrows shot through her stomach. A foul stench invaded Scootaloos nostrils, and flies and maggots danced around the dead.
Scootaloo ripped her helmet off to get some air. Blood drenched her coat and armor, and her mane was no longer a purple color. All the blood and organs she was fishing through caused it to be a more darker brown color. She tried desperately to get out of the hole, but every time she tried, she stumbled back into the blanket of the dead. She could feel herself being cut by the sharp edges of the armor from the dead soldiers. One of her hoofs fell into the open stomach of a mare. Her exposed rib cage began cutting at Scootaloos legs, as she tried desperately to get out. Tears were streaming down her face as she stared into the dead mares eyes.
"HEY, I SEE ONE OF THOSE FLYING RATS MOVING".
A voice shouted within the fog. Scootaloo froze up in fear, as she turned her head around to see where the source of the voice was coming from. But she couldn't see anything.
"He-hello"? An arrow shot through the fog, and landed right beside Scootaloos hoof. Followed by another arrow, and another, until a swarm of them were shooting out.
"Oh shit". Out of desperation and fear, Scootaloo tore her leg out of the dead mares stomach. Her rib cage stabed at Scootaloos leg, leaving a large gash and a trail of blood oozing down her coat. The terrified filly leaped out of the hole, but the arrows were still flying at her. She could hear voices following behind her, and arrows whizzing by her.
"AGHHH"! Scootaloo screamed in pain as she felt an arrow penetrate her left leg. She toppled over and fell face first into the ground. Her leg was on fire, as she could feel the arrow head coming out of the other side of her leg. She slowly, but painfully got back onto her hoofs. Only to have another arrow shoot at her right leg.
Scootaloo screamed in pain as she fell on her side. She could see two figures exiting the fog. They were Unicorns. Both of them were wearing golden armor, that covered a lot more flesh then Scootaloos did. They were levitating bows, and a sack full of arrows were wrapped around their torso. Swords with golden handles dangled at their sides, revealing the sharp edges that shined in a relatively dark atmosphere.
"Hey did you see that? I nailed the fucking bitch".
"She's still trying to crawl away, how pathetic".
"Well she is a stupid fucking flying filly".
Scootaloo could hear the voices coming closer to her, until the two Unicorns were right on top of her. She still fought the urge to crawl away.
"Oh just cut the shit you pathetic fuck". One of the Unicorns rolled his eyes, before putting his hoof on the arrow that was lodged in Scootaloos left leg. He began applying pressure to it, as more blood gushed out of her wound. Scootaloo began to clench her teeth in agony, which caused the two Unicorns to laugh in pleasure. They began to circle around her, just smiling at the down filly.
"You know, filly or not, we should still have some fun with her", Said one of the Unicorns, as he placed his hoof over Scootaloos head.
"I'm with you there", the other Unicorn said, looking down at Scootaloos bottom and smiling. He slowly and gently rubbed his hoof over it, which caused Scootaloo to blush and sob a bit more.
"No, not like that you fucking perverted weirdo, maybe with mares but not with fillies". The other Unicorn said, still applying pressure over Scootaloos head. He gave his fellow soldier a disgusted look and shook his head.
"What? Everypony knows Pegasus are just flying fucking rats that don't deserve to live, so what's the harm of treating them like shitty useless objects when that's what they are". The unicorn argued, as he rolled his eyes and smiled back down at Scootaloo. He placed his hoof gently on Scootaloos bottom and grinned. "Plus for a little shit, she ain't that bad".
"Get your fucking hoofs off of her before I kill you myself". The Unicorn in front of Scootaloo took his hoof off of her head and glrared at his partner. The other Unicorn sighed as he took his hoof off of Scootaloos behind.
Scootaloo was still crying, and was in intense pain. The two Unicorns stood beside eachother and looked down at the broken filly. "She's such a fucking crybaby". The unicorn that tried to perform sexual acts on Scootaloo rolled his eyes and kicked her in the side of the stomach. She gasped for air, taken aback at just how hard he kicked her.
"Well If we can't fuck her then I guess we should just fucking kill her already".
Scootaloos eyes widened. Her heart began racing faster, and a look of fear washed over her face.
"No, no no no no, please". Scootaloo looked up at the two with nervous eyes. "What did I do? Please".
The two Unicorns were shocked by the question. They looked at eachother, trying to figure out the answer to a question that didn't have an answer to.
"Rrrrr SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU PATHETIC WHORE"! The other Unicorn shouted. He broke out of his own thoughts, and began to kick the filly over and over again. The enraged Unicorn began kicking at Scootaloos face, causing her teeth to chip and be knocked out of her gums. A painful dark bruise started to form around her red eye, and she could feel her vision begin to blur.
The other Unicorn that tried to rape her just stood back in horror. He had never seen his friend like this before. He was still kicking Scootaloo hard in the face, even breaking her nose in the process.
The unicorn was breathing heavily, as he ceased his kicking. Scootaloo just laid there in a pool of her own blood. Almost all of her teeth were gone, and her left eye socket was shattered. As for her actual eye, she couldn't see anything from it. Her nose was severely broken, and she could feel her fractured skull burning in pain.her vision became blurry, and the noise around her sounded muffled and distant. Her breathing began to slow, and her heart beat did as well.
"Let's fucking go", her attacker said, still panting heavily.
"What about the kid"?
"Fucking leaving her".
"But what if those flying fucks find her and help her"?
"Then you fucking kill her". The tired Unicorn continued trotting forward, until he disappeared into the fog.
"FINE I'LL FUCKING KILL HER THEN ASSWIPE"! The unicorn who watched the whole thing shook his head and levitated out his sword. It shined brightly amongst the darkness. "Welp, it's a shame I didn't get to have real fun with you, but this is the end of line for you, you fucking parasite". The unicorn levitated up his sword and brought down on Scootaloo. The last thing Scootaloo could feel was the sharp blade entering her chest and stabbing through her heart. Her breathing immediately stopped, and her vision grew darker and darker, until she could see nothing but blackness. The unicorn yanked his sword out of the now dead filly, and slid it back into his sheath, leaving a long blood trail across the blade. He levitated up Scootaloos body and brought her back to the massive grave of dead Pegasus, where he proceeded to throw Scootaloo in along with the rest of the dead. He stared down at the large pile of the dead, and grinned.
"Nighty nighty fuckers". The unicorn turned around and began trotting after his friend, until he was out of sight. Scootaloos dead body just laid there. Her lifeless eyes stared up at the dark sky as she rested amongst the corpses of fallen Pegasus.
She was just another addition to the collection of casualties of this wretched war.
