Cooking class was the final class for both Pinkie Pie and Bubble Goo before the school day would end. The two were recently assigned as cooking partners, with their assignment being cookie-baking.

“So you like cookies, don’t you? because I really like chocolate chip, if that's what you want to make...” Bubble Goo tried to catch Pinkie Pie’s attention. Unfortunately, Pinkie wasn’t listening to him because she was focusing on her frosting items for the cookies.

“Umm Pinkie? Did you listen to what I said?”

“Oh. Sorry.” She answered, which made him slightly depressed. “How about we make chocolate chip cookies, though? I love chocolate chip.”

Bubble Goo stared at her with his mouth open, but shook it off. “Whatever. Let’s just get our cookies finished.”

Bubble Goo was starting to not like Pinkie Pie’s behavior. So far, she couldn't tell him her name, or get the chance to know him, or even pay attention to what Bubble was talking about. But, it wasn't going to stop him down for long. So, he decided to give her a chance, hoping she can at least hang out with him tonight.

After they finished making the cookies, Bubble Goo was nice enough give her all the cookies just for the sake of being nice to her. During the whole time, Bubble Goo was focusing on the cookies while Pinkie Pie did the decorating afterwards.

“These frosted chocolate chip cookies look delish! I really love our idea of making these.”

“Technically, it was your idea because you didn’t listen to the idea I had.”

“Why does it matter? We still made these, right?” Pinkie Pie ate one cookie without even a care in the world, while Bubble is feeling depressed again. But, he took a deep breath, and decided to go for the kill. .

“Hey, Pinkie.” he asked.

“Yes?” She blinked her eyes.

“I was wondering, maybe tonight can we-”

“Oh. I wish I could, but not tonight, because I’m helping my friends on fixing Big Mac’s truck.”

“But I wasn’t done-” Bubble tried to finish, but the school bell cut him off again as class time is over.

“I’ll see you tomorrow Bubble.” She took her backpack and exited the classroom without a trace, abandoning Bubble Goo again. Bubble Goo felt unlucky that he didn’t got the chance to talk to Pinkie Pie. Not to mention he constantly got interrupted from Pinkie Pie since he assumed that she won’t pay any attention to him. However, he again decided to give her another chance and let everything go.

“Okay, I’m cool with this...” He said to himself as he exited the classroom to make his way to his bus. “We still have thirteen days until the dance. So, I’m going to be nice enough to give her chocolates and make Valentines cards for her. I’m sure we’ll be able to hang out.”

Bubble’s luck couldn't get any worse during those eight days. Pinkie Pie kept ignoring his pairing partner for more than a week. Also, there were too many parties to set on schedule in order to celebrate the full holiday. Bubble tried his best to win her attention, giving her chocolates and Valentines card just to show how nice he was. But still, no luck came from it all. She didn’t even call his name once, or text him back after all the responses from him.

Bubble Goo came into the school, feeling in rage after a long week without his Valentine partner. He decided to go to Principal Celestia’s office and ask about the situation he was dealing with.

“Principal Celestia?” Bubble Goo said as he entered the office.

“Yes, Bubble Goo?” She responded.

“Can I have a talk with you?”

“Sure. Come in.” Bubble Goo came in and sat down on the chair.

“So, what do you want to talk about?”

“It’s about my pairing with Pinkie Pie. We never got the chance to hang out or get to know each other. She keeps throwing parties and she won’t even listen to me. You wouldn't mind switching me with a different girl?”

Principal shook her head. “I’m sorry, but we can’t do that. I don’t want someone to have the same problems you're having. You have to stay with the person we picked from the basket.”

Bubble put his hand on his head, feeling annoyed and sad. “I know. I’m just miserable. She didn’t even tell me her name. I even tried impressing her, but that still didn't work.”

Principal Celestia took her time to think about the situation. “Listen. I know this is hard to believe, but I actually know her. She’s hyper at times, but she just wants to have fun. She also helped our school at times with her friends, and her friends are indeed the best, and you have no idea what they been through. The only idea I have to get her to listen to you is do what she’s doing.”

“What?” he said.

“You know, make a surprise party just for her. I know you have classes, but for the last two classes of the day, you can be excused.” the principal suggested. Bubble Goo took his time to think about this idea. He may have his doubts, but it would be considered the only option to get Pinkie Pie to listen to her.

“Okay. I’ll try.” He got off his chair and shook the principal’s hand. “If this does not work for me, then I’d probably skip the Valentine's Dance.”

As soon as Bubble exited the office, he thought about what type of party to throw. Although, he had no idea what theme she prefers. He knew that she doesn’t like the holiday at the most, so he tried to talk to her friends. He came across Applejack getting her things from her locker, and walking up to her.

“Hi. Are you of Pinkie Pie’s friends?” He asked.

“Hi. If this is about me bein’ your Valentine for this Monday, I’m sorry..” She said, keeping it cool.

“It’s nothing like that. I just need help.” Bubble took a deep breath, and explained his dilemma.

“Pinkie Pie won’t hang out with you because she keeps throwing parties?” Applejack asked in surprise.

“Yes.” He nodded. “I just need some more advice. See, we never got the chance to hang out or do anything. I know she has friends like you, but she should at least have some time freedom for me.”

Applejack wrapped her arm around him. “Well, she does have a job. But during her time at home, she always throws a party with her pet. That’s why she never texted you. She even always had her cell phone off.”

“Why does she keep her cell phone off during a party?” Bubble began to wonder.

“She wanted some private time for herself, When she doesn't have me and her friends at her place, She does things that...um…. Bottom line is she always have some spare time for herself.” She paused, almost changing the subject.

After hearing all this, Bubble thought about it. “Okay. I think I know how to get Pinkie Pie’s attention. Is it okay that you can help me on making the food?”

“Sure.” Applejack accepted. She and Bubble made a plan on preparing a surprise party for Pinkie Pie.
