Pinkie’s Private Apology
The Surprise Fail Party
Previous ChapterNext ChapterOnce classes were done, Bubble Goo headed for the gym, and asked Applejack for help. For the next hour and a half, they took their time planned the surprise party for Pinkie Pie. Bubble Goo was slightly distressed since he never prepared a party before in his life.
“When is Pinkie Pie coming here?” He said, feeling exhausted after decorating everything.
“I texted her that. She said she’s going to be here for about five minutes.” Applejack replied.
“Five minutes!?” He yelled. “There won’t be a lot of time for this. What am I supposed to do?”
“Try to get in front of her after the surprise party begins.” Applejack suggested.
“But how am I gonna-” he asked. He got cut off as soon as Applejack’s phone rang. She received a text from Rainbow Dash, saying that Pinkie is on her way to the gym.
“Just hide. I’ll take care of this...” Bubble hid behind one of the decorated tables while Applejack walked up to the doors. She saw Pinkie Pie coming down the hallway with some of her friends.
“Hi, Applejack.” Pinkie Pie said.
“Howdy, Pinkie.” She said as she walked up to Pinkie.
“So, what’s going on in the gym?” Pinkie asked.
“Just come with me, sugarcube.” Applejack said. Once she led Pinkie into the gym, music started playing and balloons fall from the ceiling, along with confetti rolling around.
“Surprise!” Bubble Goo shouted as he jumped up from behind the tables.
“Oh my gosh!” Pinkie Pie squeaked. “This is the greatest surprise party you ever did for me!”
“Why thank you Pi-” He thanked until she cut him off, yet again.
“Applejack, you're the bestest friend I ever had.”
“Actually Pinkie I didn’-”
“Come on let's dance!” Pinkie exclaimed in excitement. Bubble’s eyes were wide open in shock. He couldn't believe that Pinkie Pie thought that Applejack threw a party, even though it was him who did it.
Pinkie Pie turned on some cowboy music as she and Applejack began their dance. Applejack feels completely off about this since she didn’t wanted this to happen. She tries to get to Bubble Goo but Pinkie Pie keeps dragging her away from him due to her dancing.
Bubble Goo couldn't take it anymore. He walks up to Pinkie and AJ to break up their dance but Pinkie kicks him out of her way as Bubble crashed into one of the tables with s'mores. He made those for her since he knows she loves s’mores so much.
“Oh no!” He said as the s’mores land on the floor. And to make matters worse, the school bell ring, which means school is officially over. Bubble Goo is in tears that all the time he had was waste without hanging out with a girl. Now he won’t be able to come to the dance due to him and Pinkie barely knowing each other.
“Thanks for the greatest party ever Applejack!” Pinkie thrilled as she hugged Applejack.
“Pinkie Pie...” Applejack couldn't get through to Pinkie, who was still thrilled.
“The balloons and confetti were amazing!”
“Pinkie...”
“And the dance we had was so fun!”
“PINKIE!” Applejack yelled to get Pinkie’s attention.
Pinkie paused. “What? Didn’t we have fun?”
“I didn’t throw this party for you.” Applejack uttered, being honest with Pinkie.
“Then it must be my other friends, right?”
“We didn’t made this party for you.” Fluttershy retorted.
This made Pinkie Pie really confused. “Then, who really didn’t it?”
Applejack pointed at Bubble Goo, who was still crying after being rejected again. Pinkie Pie and the others walked up to him.
“Hey, what's your name?” Pinkie Pie asked out of nowhere. Bubble twitched his eye, still upset from what Pinkie just said. He got up on his feet, staring at Pinkie with a dirty look that all of his time was wasted during the first half of February.
“Do you even remember me? We became Valentine partners from a week ago.” Bubble shouted.
“Ohhh…” Pinkie Pie remembered. “Well, I think we’re going to have a great time this Monday.”
Bubble retorted, much to Pinkie’s dismay. “Well, I won't. I've decided I’m not coming with you to the dance! You just kept on ignoring and rejecting me this whole time!”
Pinkie Pie couldn't understand. “What do you mean? I was just trying to make the Valentine’s Dance better so everyone can come.”
“Do you even know what your talking about!? Valentine’s Day wasn’t supposed to be just about parties, it was supposed to be about LOVE!”
“I didn’t know anything about that.” Pinkie Pie was surprised that she didn’t know that Valentine's Day was all about love itself. She tried to be nice to him, but it was far too late.
“Seriously!?” Bubble Goo reacted. “You mean to tell me that you have no idea what we should’ve been doing this whole time!?”
Pinkie Pie shook her head for Bubble’s response. “Then, why did you participate in that activity?”
“Look! it’s not that I don’t like this holiday. It’s just-” She tried to explain herself, but got cut off when Bubble Goo pushed her out of his way.
“I’m going home!” He walked out of the gym, and headed for his locker to grab his belongings. Pinkie Pie decided to follow him and explain more about her feelings, but Bubble Goo had enough with her voice.
“Wait! You don’t understand!” She said as she walked by him, trying to make him stop.
“No! I understand, that you have a party habit.” He headed for his locker, refusing to look at Pinkie.
“I don’t have a party habit. I’m just a popular person here.” Pinkie stated.
“Well, if you're so popular, then you should’ve never been my partner in the first place! You clearly don’t care about my feelings.” He opened his locker as quickly grabbed his things.
“I didn’t know this holiday was important to you.” Pinkie weakly explained.
“You're joking? I love this holiday! And you completely said it’s that saddest time of the year?”
He slammed his locker and went out, leaving Pinkie Pie standing in guilt.
“Maybe next time, you should not only treat some boys better, but also consider some men in general!” He marched away from her as Pinkie was still standing in place with a sad and disappointed look on her face.
