That Girl
Chapter 13, Riddle This Dawg
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe rest of the week rolled by, albeit a little intimidated by the lack of closure, and most importantly, lack of bullying from Sunset. Constantly, I can catch her glancing at me, but other than that, nothing seems to point out her interest in me.
The party was still on my mind of course, so everytime I saw her I tried not to blush too noticeably. Finally, it was time to set my plan in action. I had made a mental list, and it contains:
Item 1, a dress for what will happen tonight.
Item 2, backup.
Item 3, successfully retrieve information once mission is over.
I pulled out my phone from my nightstand to do just what item 2 stated and contacted a couple of beings.
"Pinkie Pie speaking, how may i he~lp you, sir-y ma'am sir," said the always chirpy voice on the other end.
"Pinkie, hey, I need you to come over," I said urgently, restless.
"Oooh~ what for, Twilight of mine, I didn't know you're such a quickster," I can practically hear the smirk on her face as she drawled this out, along with the wiggling of her eyebrows.
I blushed and stuttered, "P-Pinkie! I didnt- I mean, I wasn't.. I didn't... Whatever..." I muttered embarrassingly.
I heard giggles on the other line, "I was kidding, silly! Anyway, why d'ya want me to go there? Special occasion? Holiday?" -She suddenly gasped- "BIRTHDAY?!"
"Uh... No. None of those. I want you to come over to talk some things out regarding Sunset Shimmer.
"Well, what about her," she asked.
"Classified. I'll tell you once you get here," I stated firmly, making it sound like I meant no funny business, which is my current state.
"Okie dokie, what time?"
"Be here exactly 7 o'clock, and I mean it."
"Okay, Pinkie will be there at exactly 7 o'clock, cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye," I can totally hear her smiling on the other end.
"Good. I'll call you back," and with that, I ended the call. Next, I dialed another number, and ring ring my phone went.
After 3 rings, somebody on the other line picked up.
"Hello," they greeted groggily.
"Oh, sorry to wake you," I laughed nervously.
"Don't worry, Twilight, I was about to anyway, what time is it?"
"4:49," I said after glancing at the clock of my bedroom.
"See? Totally my wake up from nap time. Anyway, what's up?"
"I need your help with something."
"What something?"
"I can't tell you now, but I will once you and Pinkie get here."
"Oh sweet, Pinkie's coming too?"
"Didn't you hear me?"
"YES!"
"Anyway, I want you here by 7, get here past that there'll be no more cookies for you," I knew that was my brother's weakness.
"What? Oh man, but it's tradition to give me some whenever you or our folks see me."
"First of all, you made that up, second, I'm totally doing what I warned to do."
"Okay, okay, I'll be there. 7, right?"
"Yes. Don't forget!"
"Yeah, yeah, call me back, huh?"
"You just read my mind."
"I'm psychic, Twilight," I heard him laugh.
"Ha ha, very funny, Bill Gates, see ya later."
"Sure, bye."
"Goodbye."
