Big Macintosh is just a simple farm pony living on the outskirts of the small town of Ponyville. He lives with his two sisters, his paternal grandmother, and (recently) maternal grandfather. For the most part, Big Macintosh, of Big Mac as most ponies call him, he’s had a regular life as an apple farmer; however, his life would start to change when he meets some pony that became the apple of his eye.
The next morning, Big Mac is tasked with taking a huge order of apples to a small town a few miles away from Ponyville, so he had to take the truck with him to get there. According to the order form sent, the apples are meant to be delivered to some pony by the name of Sugar Belle. Apparently, she needs all these apples in order to do a few experiments for a dessert menu that she is working on.
A few hours later, he arrives at the address of the pony and knocks on the front door first, before noticing the “We are open” sign and decides to head in with one of the loads of apples meant to be delivered. He calls out to let Sugar Belle know that he’s here and that he has the apples as ordered. He then hears a voice saying that she will be down in a few minutes and said to wait downstairs for her. Big Mac waited for a few minutes for Sugar Belle to come downstairs, but then he heard a scream from upstairs and ran up in case she needed help.
When he arrived upstairs, he finds Sugar Belle on the ground in a bath towel and noticing her toe is bleeding. At the same time Sugar Belle is a bit embarrassed since some pony is seeing her practically naked (since she is only wearing a towel at the moment). Big Mac was a little surprised too, but since he noticed that she was hurt he asked her if she had any bandade; Sugar Belle said that she has some in her cabinet.
As soon as Big Mac got a bandade, he placed it on Sugar Belle’s toe (where the bleeding is); he also turned away from her since he knew it wasn’t appropriate to see her almost naked like that.
“Thank you. I was getting ready to come down, but one of my floor boards came up unexpectedly and I accidentally stubbed my toe on it.”
“Your welcome. However, it was wrong of me to barge in like that when you’re not decent.”
“Well I did scream too loud when it was just a scratch. I appreciate you coming up to help me and all, but could you leave my room so I can get change.”
“Of course.”
Big Mac left the room so Sugar Belle could get changed. After she got changed, she headed downstairs to sign for the apple delivery confirmation form and Big Mac took the apples to a big fridge in Sugar Belle’s store room. She explained that she hopes to get started on some apple treats that she’s been hoping to work on and sell after she’s gotten them right. Before he left, Big Mac noticed that Sugar Belle had another loose floorboard. Sugar Belle said that she really needs to get some pony to fix these loose floorboards soon, otherwise it’s going to be a safety hazard; however, she’s not sure if she can afford someone to fix theme since she’s been saving up to have a bigger shelf for all of her deserts. Big Mac offered to fix the loose floorboards for her since he dabbles in carpentry and usually fixes loose floorboards at his house. Sugar Belle said that he didn’t have to do that, but Big Mac insisted since he did barge into her room and saw her in a compromising manner in the first place anyway and wants to make up for it by doing this; he even said it would be free of charge. Sugar Belle decided to take up Big Mac on this offer since she really did need these loose floorboards taken care of.
The next day, when he had some free time, he stopped by Sugar Belle’s place to help with the loose floorboards in her bakery downstairs and her room upstairs. Other than the ones that he already knew about, Big Mac would find any other possible loose floorboards and fix them up. While he was working, Sugar Belle would either help with customers or work on her apple treat experiments. After a few hours of work, Big Mac had finally finished. Sugar Belle then offered Big Mac to have some tea and treats with her for all of his hard work for her. The treats that they are eating are some of her new apple treats that she’s hoping to start selling if they become a hit. Big Mac tells her they almost taste like some of the apple treats that his Granny would sometimes make for him and his sisters. Sugar Belle thanked him since she’s been experimenting with apple treats lately in order to move away from simply baking muffins and she wants to enter one of her experiments into a competition.
Later that afternoon, Big Mac is about to leave and head back home; Sugar Belle is outside to see him off.
“Thanks for coming all this way to fix all those loose floorboards for me, Big Mac.”
“No problem. If there are any more problems with those loose floorboards again, let me know and I’ll come right back and fix them up again.”
“Thank you, but you know I wouldn’t mind seeing you again sooner than that.”
“Oh, really.”
“Yeah, I would really like to get to know you better.”
“Ok, I would like to get to know you better too.”
“Here’s my number. Bye.”
After giving Big Mac her cell phone number and a kiss on the cheek, he got in his truck and headed back home, but he was completely love-struck after that kiss from Sugar Belle. Even when he got home, he was completely love-struck by Sugar Belle’s beauty, kindness, and her cooking and didn’t even bother to talk to his family about his day. All he could think about is Sugar Belle and how he intends on seeing her again as soon as possible.

Like this story and a few others, this will act as an experimental story at first and will be updated based on how well it received and how well I can improve on it.
It’s morning. The sun is rising. Big Mac is waking up from a good night sleep in order to do his chores. As he is doing his chores, he can’t get Sugar Belle out of his head and thinks about seeing her again. However, his duties/chores at Sweet Apple Acres came first so it was going to be a while before he could really see her again. But thanks to her giving him her phone number, the two of them have been able to talk a bit over the phone. However, he chose to keep his “relationship” with Sugar Belle a secret for now; he would tell his family about her when the time is right. Besides, as far as Sugar Belle is concerned, the two of them are just friends, not an actual couple.
One day, Big Mac is told by Granny Smith that he needs him to deliver a shipment of apples to a community center tomorrow; as luck would have it, the delivery is in the same town that Sugar Belle is in. Maybe, after he finishes this delivery, he could go see how she is doing. But before he left, he decided to call her to see if she’s available, but he didn’t get an answer from her so he decided to leave a message.
The next day, Big Mac drove to the town and headed for the community center. Lucky for him, he was also passing by Sugar Belle’s bakery and decided to wave at her. Unfortunately, when looked at her window, he noticed that she was talking to somepony with very strange hair; but by the looks of things he’s flirting with Sugar Belle or something; he couldn’t tell what it was since he can’t read lips or hear their conversation. He turned away and continued driving since the light turned green and headed for the community center.
While he’s helping unload, he couldn’t get his mind off seeing Sugar Belle talking to that pony. Was that just a friend of hers, a customer, or her boyfriend? He’s kind of hoping that it’s not the third thing that he is thinking the most. At the same time, if that is the case, he can’t do anything about it since Sugar Belle can see whomever she wants and it’s not like she’s his girlfriend; they only just met a few days ago and they’ve been having phone conversations more than anything. Besides, she’s probably not interested in him like that in the first place.
After he finishes unloading all the apples for the community center, he gets in his truck and gets ready to head back to the farm. But as he is about to get on the road, somepony gets in his way and Big Mac slams on the breaks so he wouldn’t hit this pony.
“Hey, watch where you’re going!”
“Big Mac.”
“Sugar Belle. I almost ran into you.”
“Sorry about that. I was lucky to run into you here. Drive.”
“What?”
“Just drive.”
Big Mac did what she asked and started driving. While in the truck, Big Mac asked if everything is ok and she responded that everything is fine but she needed to get away from some pony. She then asked him if he could take her to a park not too far from here; Big Mac said yes and started driving while Sugar Belle gave him the directions to the park. At the same time, Big Mac noticed that same pony surrounded by three other mares grabbing onto him.
Once they arrived at the park, they sat on a bench near the lake. Sugar Belle then gave Big Mac a small pink box. When Big Mac opened it, he saw that the box is filled with all types of treats.
“I made them for you; they’re part of my apple dessert experiments. While I’ve had a few ups and downs, these are the perfected versions of my experiments: chocolate apple cupcake, apple cookies, apple cinnamon tarts, chocolate filled apples, and apple cinnamon cake with a cherry on top.”
“You made all of this for me.”
“Well, I had just finished my experiments the other night and I figured that you should be the first to try them since I knew you were coming into town again. Unlike last time, you’ll be tasting the finalized versions. I would have called you back but I was busy with adding the finishing touches and I was trying to deal with Feather Bangs attempts to flirt with me.”
Big Mac asked while eating an apple cookie “Feather Bangs?”
Sugar Belle explained “He’s stallion who sometimes sings at the club. He’s a nice stallion, but he’s kind of annoying with his attempts to flirt with other mares, especially me. However, I knew three mares in particular who really liked him a lot and wanted all of his attention focused on them so I helped lure him to them with their help. I wanted to meet you at the community center when you arrived, but I had to help the girls trap Feather Bangs and it took longer than originally intended. But enough of that, what do you think?”
Big Mac said while finishing the apple cinnamon cake “These are a way better than the last treats you gave me.”
“You mean it?”
“Of course.”
“Thank you. (*Yawn)”
“Are you ok?”
“I’m just a little sleepy. I worked on these treats along with my other treats that I’m going to sell tomorrow all night and a little bit this morning. (*Yawn*) Honestly, I could use a nap right about now. This may sound a bit weird, but do you mind if I rest on your lap for a bit.”
“Sure, but I can also take you back home.”
“No, it’s fine; I wanted to go to the park’s lake anyway simply because I’ve been in my bakery these past few days working on my experiments. The only times I took breaks were when you called me or when my best friend, Night Glider, comes in to talk to me. Can you wake me up in about an hour?”
“Ok.”
Sugar Belle then fell asleep on Big Mac’s lap. While she’s asleep Big Mac would look at the lake and then look at Sugar Belle while she sleeps. In his mind, she looks beautiful in her sleep and he couldn’t help but feel flattered and at the same time nervous about his current position; he even remained blushing for the entire hour.
After the hour passed, Big Mac woke Sugar Belle up and took her back to her bakery and escorted her inside. Once inside, they notice a note on the ground addressed to Sugar Belle saying “Thanks Sugar Belle. We now have Feather Bangs wrapped around our fingers and he’s now paying attention to us. Signed Dear Darling, Fond Feather, and Swoon Song”
“Sounds like they finally got Feather Bangs full attention.”
“Yep. Well, I better get back home.”
“Ok; see you soon.”
“Yep; see you soon.”
“Big Mac. Night Glider and I were supposed to go to our town’s festival next week, but she’s going with Party Favor, her boyfriend, to meet his family so she’s going to miss it. I have this extra ticket, so I was wondering if you would like to go with me.”
“With you?”
“Yeah, if that’s ok with you.”
“I would like that.”
“Be sure to arrive here by the bus since it will be impossible to find parking during the festival and come as early as possible.”
“I will.”
After that, Big Mac got on his truck and headed back home. While in the truck, after leaving the town, he snapped out of his happy state and realized that he was asked out by Sugar Belle.
Back with Sugar Belle, she is on the ground blushing red after asking Big Mac out on a date like that. While she is happy, at the same time she couldn’t believe that she just did that.
Author's Note
The next chapter will focus more on Sugar Belle's feelings since I want to turn away from simply displaying Big Mac's feelings.
Also, this is the only chapter that will really mention Feather Bangs in any way, unless I actually need him to be mentioned. I've heard people hate him because he's a copy of Justin Beiber but I personally don't care or even bother to make that comparison in any way. Also, since he wasn't an overall jerk at the end of the day I can't say I hate him but I don't like him either
