Dear Pinkie Pie,

I want to tell you how I feel, but I don't even know.

I could tell you everything I admire, but I had to admit it to myself before I could even make an effort to tell you.

So, here it is.

I like you. I like your singing, I like your laugh, I like your smile, I like your voice, and I like...your mane.

You make my day, and make me laugh.

You make me happy.

I know it isn't a big sentence, or huge reveal. But it's true. All of it. Whenever I'm around you, I feel...joy. Twilight and the others all helped me get over my past, but to be honest here, you accepted me when I returned without a doubt. You helped me understand Twilight, more than Twilight could make me understand friendship. In all it was just a huge cycle. If I'm being honest, I don't know what I'm expecting here from writing this letter to you. I'm unaware of what decision you'll make, what choice you'll choose. But because you're you, I know it'll be the right decision. I know it because I like you. No, not just like. I love you.

This is a big thing for me to admit, and I don't want you to feel pressured at all. But I've been speaking with all my friends today. (Including your sister!) They've all encouraged me to tell you. And so... well. I guess I took the scaredy-cat way. But, I was scared. Still am.

No matter what you choose, you'll always be my friend,
Yours truly, Starlight

There was a knock on the door. Pinkie was the only one up due to an extreme baking order. But she had a confused expression when she answered the door.

"For Miss Pie!" A grey pegasus announced with a smiled when Pinkie looked at her. The earth pony beamed, knowing who it was.

"Derpy! What's this?" Derpy handed the pinkie pony a neat envelope, with various stickers on it. Her name was written neatly on the front in cursive.

"A letter for you! It was "sent in" last minute, so I'm sorry you had to get this sooo late!" Pinkie Pie shook her head with a grin.

"Of course not! I was up anyways, so I suppose this would actually be perfect!"

"Well, if you didn't answer, I woulda just put it in your mailbox, but I saw the lights on."

"...whoops." Pinkie Pie blushed, realizing she had left the entire house's lights blazing. She was up, but the only lights that were necessary to be on were the kitchen ones.

"Anyways, I've gotta get home, it's been a long day!"

"I'm sure more for some than others."

"You know it."

"Have a good night!" Pinkie Pie waved giddily as the pegasus waved back. She opened the envelope quickly. Her expression turned from happy and giddy to shocked.
