A Night in Yakyakistan

The night sky of Yakyakistan was depressingly dull. Unlike the starry night skies of Ponyville and Canterlot, the moon was the only thing in the sky. The citizens here didn’t much mind the blandness of their sky, apparently, considering they were busy engaging in festive drink and general merriment. The streets were filled with them, all over, celebrating their holiday. It was hard to feel as festive as they were when all Twilight wanted to do was sleep.

“You can get yourself to bed after you complete the mission.” Luna’s voice rang in her mind as she picked up the telepathic waves she’d sent her way. “I trust you’re well informed of your target’s whereabouts?”

“Mhm.” She wanted to keep her responses to a minimum. “Moving now.” She glanced once more at the sky, then focused on the tower in the center of town. Easily visible from anywhere in the country, but a spectacle when viewed from the town that housed it. Twilight slipped from one rooftop to the next, hoping to get there before any of the natives realized her stalking them from above.

The tower of Yakyakistan was tall, standing high above any of the closest buildings. What’s worse was the street that wrapped around its perimeter, rife with a mix of guards and alcohol, which wasn’t Twilight’s ideal Friday night. She sighed and pulled at her thoughts, thinking up the best way to get to the top of this tower quickly.

“This isn’t an ideal plan,” began Luna. “But maybe you could create a distraction? The only problem is that they might go out of control quickly. While the situation devolves, you could teleport in.” Twilight thought for a moment, then sighed. Using a teleport was dangerous, especially considering the flash afterward, but if it got her in, she’d have to think about the consequences later.

She imagined a rock and pulled it into existence, tossing it around a bit before looking over the roof. She was relatively close to the front door, so she aimed just before the bend of the street, where the chaos could ensue safely. She took aim at a particularly tall, drunk man, then tossed it with all of her might. With a bit of magic infused in it, the rock flew like a purple bullet and shattered against the side of his head. Twilight doubted that it did much damage, but it did serve its purpose well.

The yak turned around, clearly annoyed by the rock sailing into his head. He swung his arms, knocking a woman’s drink out of her hand. She wasted no time picking him up and tossing him into another crowd of people. And since then, it started getting worse. Once the guards and citizens decided that this was a battle royal, Twilight focused on getting inside the building. She pulled herself through the air, landing safely inside the lobby.

Or so she thought. The two guards within the lobby spotted her almost immediately. The closest one was surely about to bellow out in Yakyakistani but was quick to catch a shock to the chest. While he convulsed and eventually fell to the ground, the other one had plenty of time to send up an alarm. Twilight cursed under her breath before dispatching the second one while he was distracted.

“Quickly now, Twilight. You mustn’t dilly-dally. Find the source of their magic.” Twilight searched the lobby, eventually finding a small grate. She was certainly too large to fit through it, but she transformed into a small mouse just as the lobby began flooding with guards and made her escape into the vent. “The alarm the guard sent up spans the entire building, so take care not to be spotted again. Your mission objective is still the same.”

Twilight scuttled through the ventilation, careful not to make too much noise while in there. She couldn’t scale the whole building this way, but she did manage to make it to the fourth floor. Looking through the small bars, she saw guards moving about briskly, eyes peeled for any sign of her. The elevator beeped to bring in more soldiers. Apparently, the distraction from earlier had been used up but brought her a new way to proceed.

Twilight started to weave the world around her, conjuring up an ever-shifting invisible wall on all sides of her. It was difficult, maintaining both spells at once, but she managed to keep it up. She slipped into the empty elevator as the door closed, turned back into a human, and picked the highest floor.

“Nice work,” said Luna, Twilight nodded. “Now, when you get off of the elevator, you’ll want to—” Twilight’s connection to Luna was cut short, just as the elevator ride was. Twilight looked around, searching for the source of the problem.

“You think that you’re so clever, little spy.” the voice came from outside the doors, but still boomed like they were inside. The doors opened, and guards filed in, restraining Twilight. Any magic attempt was nullified almost immediately. It was as if a tiny bug with razor-sharp pincers was roaming her brain, attacking it every time she tried to cast a spell. Even the ongoing connection with Luna was severed. “We are not as stupid as you think. Take her to the dungeons!” The guard that barked that order stayed behind while the four guards used to restrain Twilight whisked her away and out to the dungeons.

The dungeons were surprisingly clean and well kept. For such a large, battle-hungry race, she’d expect a more grimy and dirty place to house criminals. However, the place was kept averagely clean. Still, the cleanliness of their jail didn’t help the weakness that Twilight felt seeping into her body. The anti-magic field they deployed was certainly doing damage.

She was tossed into a cell, which was pretty big for a single prisoner. The guards wasted no time locking her door and leaving to rejoice in the festivities. She could still hear the cheering from outside. As soon as they left her sight, Twilight started looking for a way out.

She woozily got to her feet, rubbing her temples to try to soothe a headache she was feeling. It didn’t help much, but it allowed her to focus a bit easier.

The only easy means of escape were the cell’s bars and the small hole completely out of Twilight’s reach. Still, she had to try. Her mission was still valid.

“There’s no use.” Twilight jumped and stumbled to the other side of the room. In the far corner, two small blue lights lit up. Using the lights, Twilight could make out a small figure in the darkness. They had a horn, although it was snapped, and his wings were dotted with holes of all sizes. They flittered weakly. “Hi. Anything you could think of to try to escape this cell, I’ve done it twice.” Twilight looked him over before speaking again.

“Who are you?” she asked.

“It’s Elytra,” said the changeling. “And you’ve been quite the spy tonight. What’s your name?” Twilight was apprehensive at first, but he’d shared his name.

“Twilight,” she said. “What’s a changeling doing in Yakyakistan?”

“You think you’re the only ones who want Yakyakistan’s information?” asked Elytra. I’ve been in here for three months, and I think it’s pointless.”

“Pointless?” asked Twilight.

“We’re sent in to risk our lives to do something that the cushy executives up above could easily come up with by themselves.” He sighed. “I bet if we get those “papers” Prince Rutherford has in his office upstairs, it’ll say they stole it from some poor town no one cares about.”

“We need that information,” said Twilight, leaning on the wall. “I don’t know why, but then again, I don’t need too.”

“You’re just like all the rest,” Elytra chuckled. He closed his eyes again, and seemingly sunk back into the darkness. Twilight looked around again, finding no obvious way to get out of the cell. She strained her body, leaking out precious drops of magic in an attempt to form a loom to weave something to help her out.

Her body slowly started changing, even while straining under the pressure. She felt wobbly as spots danced across her vision, and holding her breath was only building pressure faster. Before she could form anything, the semi-finished loom in her mind shattered and crumbled to pieces. Twilight fell to the ground with a thud.

“Think you could maybe not try to kill yourself?” Elytra got up and walked over to Twilight. He gave her his hand. “I swear, it’s like I’m talking to a brick wall.” Twilight used what little strength she had left to push him aside. Before she could try again, the thumping of her head took over, and she collapsed into a pile on the floor. Elytra stood over her for a second, looking down on her before everything went black.

Twilight woke with a start in the corner of the prison cell. A small beam of light shone down in the center of the room, lighting up everything around it. It was just enough to see the outline of the changeling in the corner.

He seemed to be sleeping, but that’s only because his eyes were closed. Twilight shifted a bit, and his eyes slowly opened. He yawned, then stretched, fluttering his wings a bit.

“Another day, another suicide attempt?” His jovial tone didn’t make Twilight feel the least bit better. She stayed quiet. “Good answer. Breakfast should be here in a few minutes, so that’s something to look forward to. I hear the grass they serve this time of year is just to die for.”

“What time is it?” asked Twilight. Elytra shrugged, then shook his head.

“Doesn’t matter,” he said. “They deliver food whenever they please. I only know it’ll be soon because the sun came up recently, and they fed me around them.” Twilight looked at him from across the room.

“You’ve seriously given up on escaping this cage?” she asked. “There’s not much here to work with, but someone with enough determination could potentially escape.” Elytra groaned at the end of Twilight’s sentence.

“Could we have a conversation that doesn’t involve escaping, huh?” He said, rubbing his hands through his hair. “Look, you and I are the same.” He tapped his horn. “We relied too much on our abilities, we got cocky, we’ve both been captured. Nothing we can do about it. If I hadn’t stopped you, you would’ve snapped your horn too. Now, can we talk about something normal, like food, or what episodes of The Walking Dead we might be missing?”

“That’s not right,” said Twilight, shaking her head. “You put your life on the line for the sake of the country. Any job the country gives you is the country’s will itself.”

“I don’t care about the country’s will. I do whatever I want, now.” Before Twilight could respond, the guards walked into view and looked between the two.

“You two seem to be getting along well.” Twilight looked up at him, the vitriol in her eyes easily detectable. This person ordered her into these dungeons, and she refused to give up to him. “If I were you, I’d treat the person who holds your life in their hand with more respect.” The guard looked on, and dropped the platter he was holding in his hand onto the ground and kicked it into the cell from the small gap on the bottom. Without another word, he departed from view and left the cells. Twilight turned her attention to the platter before her.

“You shouldn’t eat that,” said Elytra, looking at the plate of grass. “Not only is it not edible, it’ll also spoil your dinner.”

“What? Spoil my dinner?” He pointed towards the window.

“These Yaks have a weird kind of culture. The big party they had last night was the commemoration of their God-King, Asger the Unbreakable.”

“I know the legend,” said Twilight. “The day after Asger’s crowning, the dead rose. To remember this, they burn all of their sinners before the darkness of the night, and offer their souls to their old king.”

“So they have us eat this,” he says, pointing at the grass. “This grass is covered in a lichen that makes you puke up your whole stomach. Then they allow you to eat whatever you want just before you’re burned. Aren’t they just peachy?”

“Clearly,” said Twilight, matching Elytra’s sarcasm. Twilight looked down at the grass and wagered it against her growing hunger pangs. “It doesn’t matter what their traditions are. I’ll be escaping before noon.”

“It could already be past noon,” said Elytra, closing his eyes once more. “I’ll still be here, if you need me, obviously. Uh.. just don’t need me.” Twilight watched as the changeling closed his eyes, seemingly blending into the shadows again. For someone without a functioning horn, he sure seemed to have a peculiar aptitude for magic. Twilight disregarded him, though and focused on the task at hand. If she was to survive the day, she’d have to work considerably hard.

The day stalked on since breakfast, with Twilight’s hunger only being offset by her need to escape. Her options hadn’t changed: the front door or the small window. Neither was possible with her meager strength and abilities. She looked over at the changeling a couple of times during her brainstorming and caught him watching her quietly in the corner. When caught, he’d look away or close his eyes, but as the hours dwindled down, he simply gazed lazily.

“Hey,” she said, calling out to Elytra. He turned towards her from the ground. “I haven’t noticed any guards since lunch. Why is that?”

“They don’t really care, is all I’ve gathered,” he said with a shrug. “Or maybe they just really believe in their prison system. Either way, they’ve never really bothered me.”

“So they wouldn’t notice if…” Twilight bit her lip. “Something… particularly noisy might be going on?”

“Back when I had my horn, I tried doing some long incantations, and I tried summoning spells, and nothing happened. I don’t really know why, but it’s worked out for them for this long.”

“Okay then… I see…” Twilight paced the room and didn’t say another word. Elytra raised an eyebrow.

“Er… care to share why you wanted that information?” Twilight stopped and looked over at Elytra. Her eyes scanned him as if she was sizing him up. Finally, she ran her hands through her hair and looked down at the ground.

“I need you do make me have a magic surge.” Elytra’s eyes widened and the light behind them glowed a bit brighter. Twilight supposed that was a surprised face. “Look, you may not want to leave this cage, but I have a code to uphold.”

“That could work… but you might not be able to move afterward. I can be pretty savage, even when I’m trying to get something done. I might lose my will to my instincts.”

“No, not almost killing me!” she said, shaking her head. “I mean… the other way to have a magical surge.”

“Ah…” Elytra looked to the window again. “Well, most of those things still apply.” Twilight blushed furiously.

“R-Restrain yourself, please,” she said. “Look, this is strictly business, okay? Nothing personal. Once we both get out of here, nothing leaves this place, understand?” Elytra licked his lips, which instantly made Twilight regret her decision. Still, it was her only decision.

“I understand,” he said, looking up at the window. “Boy, I can’t wait for dinner tonight…”

“You two have settled down.” A normal guard came by. He walked by the cell and opened it so that he could step in. Twilight looked up wearily but didn’t move from her position in the corner of the room. “I’m going to lay out the sacred rug, and your feast can be anything you wish it to be.” He removed the cloth under his arm and laid it out. It was a checkered quilt.

“Is that… a picnic blanket?” Elytra asked, much to the captain’s annoyance.

“No! It is our sacred rug!” he said, finishing it up. Once the blanket was down, he stood over them. “Okay, now state your food choices. Pick anything you want!”

“Spaghetti,” said Twilight, quietly. The yak nodded and turned to Elytra.

“Yak burger,” said Elytra. Twilight and the yak both looked at him, shocked, before he grinned, slightly. “A joke. Tuna casserole.”

“Very well…” The yak took down something on his notepad and left the cell as quickly as he came. Surprisingly, the food was done in an alarming amount of time. The two dishes were spread onto the blanket along with a bottle of wine and glasses. “Please, enjoy this meal. Then afterward, you have a few hours of peace before the burning at midnight.” Again, he was gone, and the prisons were completely quiet.

Twilight sat in the corner, waiting for time to slowly tick away. They could have started what needed to be done and be done with it quicker, but she was hesitant.

“Okay, I think they’re gone.” Elytra stirred in his corner. When Twilight went to look at him, he was already standing. He was taller than she thought, and lankier too. She was now realizing that his hair was choppy and short. His skin was fair, just as hers was. His wings spanned out fully and buzzed lightly. “Are you ready?”

“Yes…” Twilight got up shakily, and couldn’t stop her hands from shaking. “We should just get this over with.”

“You sound like you’re trying to reassure yourself.” Elytra crossed the room quickly, ignoring the food and looked down at Twilight. “If all goes well, you’ll be back home in no time.” Twilight didn’t say anything but nodded all the same.

“Just make it quick...” she said. “Could you get the zipper in the back?” Elytra pressed his hands against her back and found tense muscles. She wasn’t a pushover, for sure, maybe even stronger than he was. He quickly found the zipper and unzipped it fully. It ended at the curve of her back. “I’ve got it from here.”

Elytra backed away while she undressed. She did it quickly, and efficiently, stepping out of the suit and revealing what lies beneath.

Her skin was fair and smooth. Sure enough, she was very well built. Twilight took a deep breath to calm her nerves then looked up at Elytra. His eyes scanned over her skin, and it was almost as if she could feel it. Then, Elytra pressed a finger against her skin. She jumped a bit, and if she wasn’t tense before, she certainly was now.

“You’re jumpy.” Elytra ran his finger down Twilight's side, all down her bare skin. Butterflies seemed to sprout up inside Twilight’s stomach every time he moved his finger. “You’re not even breathing.” Twilight took a deep breath again, shakier this time.

“We don’t have time for this,” she said, grinding her teeth. She wanted nothing more than for this to be over.

“We have a few hours,” he said, running his hand to her back. “Don’t worry. I come from a race of love eaters. I think I know how to please a woman.” He ran his fingers along her stomach and stopped at her hips.

“Well, you’re not pleasing me,” she said, resorting to staring at the ceiling. She’d certainly touched herself like this before, but it was completely different to another person doing it for her.

“I’d better get to that, then.” Elytra kneeled down and wrapped a thumb around her panty line. Then, he slowly pulled them down. Elytra looked up at Twilight, who couldn’t help but look down. “With a body like this, I’m surprised you don’t have a boyfriend.”

“How do you know?” she whispered.

“I don’t know anyone who would be able to keep his hands off of you.” Elytra opened his mouth and placed it right over Twilight’s lips, He wasted no time before using the flat of his tongue to slide up and down her body. Her body smelt strongly of leather and faintly of body wash. He only did this a few times before he stuck his tongue inside. Twilight took a few deep breaths and pinched her eyes shut, trying to keep herself calm. She was tingling now, and her stomach was exploding with splotches of butterflies everywhere.

But he wasn’t done. He closed his own eyes and unfurled his tongue, revealing it’s true length. As his tongue went deeper and deeper inside, Twilight’s breaths become louder and more rapid. When his tongue fully unfurled, he opened his eyes and reached around to grab Twilight’s rear. It was firm but was soft enough to squeeze. He pulled himself in as far as he could before he began to wiggle his tongue around. Twilight yelped before grinding her teeth. She knew the guards weren’t coming, but she didn’t want to risk it.

Elytra rescinded his tongue a bit, before curling it upwards and flicking it out. Twilight flinched and bit down on her lip. She opened her eyes and found herself tearing up.

“Why…” she said, short of breath. “Why did you stop?” Elytra didn’t answer, instead latching onto Twilight’s clit, swirling his tongue around it quickly. Twilight jumped and put her hand on his head, and pushed weakly. “S-Stop that… it’s weird…” Elytra weakly pulled on it softly and let it go with an audible pop.

“I thought you wanted this done as quickly as possible,” he said, looking up to Twilight with a grin. “But it just looks like you’re enjoying yourself.”

“Just...” she paused, embarrassed. Her body was heating up just looking in his direction, and she couldn’t say why. “It… felt good, so just keep going.” Elytra smiled. He took his hands and separated her lips, before running his tongue up and down her exposed folds. She was calmer and looked down at Elytra as he did it. She had kept her hand on his head, but pushed him closer to her. He stuck his tongue inside of her again, her walls contracting against him as he did. When he wiggled, she felt something inside of her building up. Her eyes widened, and she tried to warn him, but when she opened her mouth a moan was all that came out.

Elytra noticed it all on his own, though. She was getting close. Her breaths were quicker, and she was tightening up more and more. It only took a couple of seconds before Twilight lurched forwards, and her walls constricted fully and squeezed all of her juices out onto his face. Twilight’s horn crackled with energy and sent sparks of magic out and onto the ground. Elytra quickly pulled his tongue out and pulled it back into his mouth, making Twilight shiver.

“Did it work?” Elytra stood up again. Twilight was blushing hard, and staring into Elytra’s eyes. She shook her head.

“No…,” she said. “I was close… I don’t know if I can, though.”

“Hm…” Elytra stepped back and looked down. Twilight was still very wet. “A changeling’s saliva is a natural aphrodisiac. Maybe your body just wants more.” Twilight frowned at him. Now she knew why he’d seemed so arousing before.

“When were you going to tell me that?!” she asked, panting.

“Well... now,” said Elytra. “Either way, it was going to end up like this, I think.” Twilight looked down at Elytra’s body, studying his pants. She’s never had one inside of her before, and if it was anything like his tongue…

“Well, what are we waiting for then?” Twilight crossed her arms over her chest. “G-Go ahead.”

Elytra looked Twilight’s body up and down, before reaching down and unzipping his pants. He pulled them down, along with his boxers quickly, and stepped out of them afterward. He looked up to Twilight.

“Is… is that all?” asked Twilight. Elytra’s jaw dropped.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” he asked, befuddled. “I’ll have you know, this is the standard size for a changeling of the hive.” Twilight grinned slightly. “Besides, it’s not the size of the boat, it’s the motion in the ocean. And trust me, I was born to be a captain!”

“Okay then, captain,” Twilight giggled, putting extra emphasis on captain. Her body was itching for contact, and her words mimicked it. Somewhere in her mind, the thought of this being “just business” was slowly slipping away. “Let’s try it out.”

“I don’t know whether or not to feel offended or relieved that you’re more willing.” Elytra put his hands on her sides and prodded Twilight lightly. She tensed up, but it wasn’t as bad as before. He pushed his chest out first, then slowly inserted it inside. Despite what Twilight had said, it was still quite a tight fit. “Too small for your taste?”

“Don’t be so… sensitive.” She looked up at him with pleasure written on her face. “It’s fine.” Elytra pulled it out slightly, then pushed it back in. Slow and steady. Twilight’s breaths seemed to match with his thrusts. Elytra reached forward and pulled her bra up above her breasts, and let them fall out. They weren’t big, but they were bouncy.

“These are perky,” said Elytra, poking a finger into a nipple. Twilight flinched slightly and tightened up. He rubbed them slightly before leaning in and licking them. Twilight flinched again, letting out a moan as well. “And very sensitive.” Elytra pushed in fully and continued sucking on Twilight’s nipples.

“Ah, stop…” Twilight went to put her hand on his shoulder but wrapped them around him instead. “Do you like them?” Elytra hummed and continued. The nipples kept popping up as Twilight took a breath. They were smooth to the touch and fun to play around with. He pulled back and pulled out slightly again. “It’s okay to go faster, you know.”

“I know.” Elytra leaned in and kissed Twilight quickly. “I like taking it slow with you, though.” Twilight was already blushing from all that had happened, but when she’d kissed Elytra, the butterflies came back. She certainly felt different for some reason. He continued slowly like before, but he picked up the pace, making Twilight moan louder.

Twilight locked her legs around him and left the wall. Her bare chest pressed against Elytra’s shirt, and Elytra seemed to go deeper than normal. Twilight’s head rested on Elytra’s shoulder.

“Go faster,” she said, breathing calmly. Elytra bit his lip. “I’m going crazy like this…”

“I can’t,” he said. “If I go faster, I might… cum early.” Twilight stopped, then started laughing quietly. “I’m serious! You feel really good.” Twilight stood on her own feet and turned around. Elytra slipped out with a slippery sound effect. She put her cheek onto the cool stone, and pushed her rear out, and spread her lips with her fingers, leaving a bit of the juice leaking from it.

“Don’t be insecure. It’s a turn-off,” she looked back at Elytra and saw him blushing for the first time. He grabbed her side, then rubbed against her folds. Twilight pushed onto him, and he pushed into her, fully. He slipped his hand to her breast and fondled them gently. Then, he pulled out almost completely and pushed back in quickly. Twilight yelped, but he didn’t stop. He kept going, each push just a bit quicker than the last. Elytra reached under her leg and pulled it up, resting it on his shoulder. “W-What are you—”

“I… want to see your face,” he said, still pushing quickly. “I want to see your face when I cum.” Before she could speak, or he could think of how awkward that sounded, Twilight horn sparked again, letting a few sparks fly. This time, it happened more than once. Elytra was still going, but he was getting close. He pushed and pushed, and kept it back as much as he could before shooting all of his pent-up stress right into Twilight. She bit down but let out a small whimper as the hot liquid shot into her, slowly warming her up.

Twilight’s horn sparked brightly, and her whole body began shimmering with magic. The air around the two looked like film slowly burning out as it warmed up. Elytra pulled out slowly, slick with Twilight’s juices and his own cum. Slowly, both dripped from Twilight’s folds. Twilight brought her leg back to her body and started levitating slightly. Her eyes became pure white pools of energy, and she crackled with might.

She looked to the left where the gates of the cell were. She lifted her hand and pressed against the air in front of her, sending a shockwave bounding into it. The gate bent and creaked before giving way completely. With a crash, the metal hit the floor and echoed through the dungeons. Twilight’s feet touch the ground, erupting with energy in every step.

“T-Twilight?” She turned back to Elytra who was holding onto her bodysuit. She looked down at her nude body and snapped her fingers. In an instant, she cleaned herself up and donned her old clothes. Elytra walked out into the hallway just as guards came downstairs. No matter how loud their ceremony was, they’d probably hear steel rendering from its post.

“What the hell?” The Yak captain came to the front and saw what had happened. With a scowl, he pointed a fat finger at the two. “What are you doing?! Seize them!” The guards, being Yaks, would charge at anything as long as it meant a battle. Twilight put out her palm to them, then twisted in the air like a doorknob. The hallway became distorted, and everyone except for Twilight had lost their footing. She grabbed Elytra’s hand and pulled him through the hallway and up out of the dungeons. Once they surfaced, she let go of his hand, and her surge ended.

“I already know that you didn’t escape, but thank you anyway,” Twilight looked towards the tower, which was alight with torches all up and down its sides. “I’m still going to finish my mission. I can’t drag you with me if you don’t want to.” Elytra smiled and looked at the sky. He’d broken his horn trying to get those stupid papers, but he also had the time of his life only half an hour ago with this girl who was stupid enough to want those papers too. He sighed, and grabbed Twilight around the stomach and stretched his wings wide.

“You really want to scale a whole building by yourself?” Elytra jumped into the air and carried her high into the sky. “They always have the final burning ceremony on the roof. It’s the closest to the heavens.” Twilight nodded.

“When we get up there, I’ll take care of the yaks,” she said. “If things get too hectic, you have to leave.” They stopped just short of the rooftop. He leaned forward and planted a kiss on her neck. Her heart thumped in surprise, and she smiled.

“No way,” he said. “There’s an old changeling saying. If you lay a girl down, you have to help her fight the Yaks and steal their information.”

“That’s not true,” said Twilight, with a chuckle. Elytra landed on the roof safely, off into the corner. She nodded him goodbye and then slipped into the shadows.

The scene on the roof was something to behold. It was harder to see from the ground, but the sky directly above the tower was being lit up with an intense blue beam of light. It seemed as large as the cell the two had shared, and it buzzed with a heavy magical influence. Just being this close to it made Elytra’s horn ache with the desire to cast magic. The fire was safely inside and didn’t seem to be going out soon. Around the beam was a circle of yaks, all wearing robes and kneeling before it. The most important one, however, was Prince Rutherford. He stood taller than any yak Elytra had ever seen and twice as massive. No wonder they took him as their prince.

Soon, a flustered guard came up to one of the circle and whispered into his ear. The whispered spread all throughout the circle until eventually, they reached the Prince himself. No doubt, this was about their escape, but Elytra expected the Prince to be upset, or completely angry that his main event was ruined.

Instead, he looked terrified.

He yelled in Yakyakistani. The anger came after, and even on this skyscraper with the wind whipping past his ears, his words were clear.

The air became charged with heat, just like when Twilight had gone through her surge, and the beam glowed a vibrant red. Even the prince had no choice but to stand and watch as a figure formed slowly inside of the energy. It walked forward slightly and forced all those around to bow their heads. Elytra had to force his eyes upwards to see what was going on.

This must have been it. The God-King, Asger the Unbreakable, stood before them all. Elytra’s eyes were nearly blinded simply looking at his figure, and decided to keep his eyes down.

The king didn’t speak, only stood and watched. His eyes scanned the roof before eventually falling onto Elytra’s out of place clothes and position. His feet shook the building with each step, before eventually meeting Elytra’s bent body. He pulled him up with one hand, keeping him suspended in the air. Inside of him, magic slowly built, causing a maelstrom of clashing pleasure and pain. Magic flowed through him again, but it was also being used to burn him from the inside.

A bolt of magic struck Asger in the shoulder, which didn’t hurt him much. When he turned towards the source, he found Twilight standing above his spell over the area. She waited a few moments before detonating the spell she’d placed on him, making him stumble backward and trip off of the building. Elytra was released and sat to catch his breath for a moment. Being empowered was overwhelming him.

“Are you okay?” Twilight moved to the edge just in time to see Asger hit the concrete with a thud. He was unmoving for a bit, so Twilight turned back to Elytra. “This guy is where they’re getting all their magic from. A spirit drawing magic from an infinite source of power. Using all those souls, he could buy his way back into the world. If he’s already this powerful, he could probably come back soon.”

“Is he not back already?” Elytra asked, looking down at his fallen body. “He seemed pretty real to me when he was choking me out.”

“Just a projection,” she said. “I suppose they don’t call him a god-king for nothing.” Prince Rutherford stood from behind Twilight furious.

“You’ve killed him, you beiskaldi!” The Prince charged the two, his guards close behind Elytra was about to fly the two away before the read beam sent out a blisteringly hot energy, and the souls from the other world began howling. They whizzed past the yaks, Twilight, and Elytra and found themselves with Asger at the bottom of the tower with each soul, the ground shook, and the tower became more and more unstable. Twilight and Elytra flew off before Rutherford or any of the others could escape the collapsing building. They soared high above the city getting as far away from the collapsing building as possible.

“Your mission is done, right?” asked Elytra. Twilight looked back at where the creature was now going on a rampage in the search for them. “But... I can feel that you don’t want to leave just yet.” He landed the two in an alleyway far from the rampage.

“If he really is from the spirit realm, it’ll be almost impossible to defeat him. I’d need a connection there myself.” She paced back and forth, pondering her options. Elytra recognized this and sighed.

“You could… potentially gain more power, enough to defeat him at least, if you enter another power surge.” Twilight looked up at him with a frown.

“I feel like you’re only saying that because you’re really pent up.” Elytra chuckled and nodded.

“Why can’t I be pent up and want to save the world?” He said with a smirk. Twilight sighed.

“We can only do it quickly.” She looked around her and allowed Elytra to unzip her suit again. “It’ll be really awkward if he comes around again and sees us doing this…” He slipped his hands down her suit and down to her clit. He quickly passed over it a few times, getting a couple of moans out of Twilight before curling his fingers inside of her her. She yelped in surprise.

“You’re a little sensitive, right?” She turned to face him and got a kiss in return. Fire poured through her body, and only helped to get her closer to her orgasm. His other hand reached around to her bra and prodded her nipple.\

“It’ll be… really, really, awkward if anyone comes by and finds us here. H-Hurry up…” Elytra stopped for a bit, taking a breather before pulling down the rest of her suit down. “Y-You couldn’t resist?”

“It’ll be too slow the other way…” He didn’t let her fully strip, instead only pulling aside her panties to slide in slowly. She squeezed up almost immediately. “I promise I’ll make it quick.”

“T-The city is probably getting destroyed, a-and here I am,” said Twilight, chuckling slightly. She moaned quietly when he began moving and started panting when he picked up the pace. She was blushing from ear to ear, but she didn’t particularly care. She felt the magic building up again and lifted one of her legs as Elytra came inside her again. Elytra was pretty tired himself. He looked down at Twilight, who began coursing with energy. Her eyes became white again, and the energy boiled over into shocks.

“Do you still need a ride?” asked Elytra. She turned and nodded. After cleaning herself up, the two jumped into the sky and hovered above the city. They found him relatively easily, rampaging about the city looking for them.

Now he was clad in his armor and gripped a spear in his left hand. When he looked directly at them, he charged Twilight and Elytra with reckless abandon.

Twilight blocked his first strike in her magic, but the second one broke through her shield. The third smashed into a building because Elytra had already flown them off.

“Any ideas against him?” Twilight thought for a moment and then pointed directly at him.

“His spear,” she said. “We just have to remove his spear from him, and attack him with it.”

“His spear, hm?” Elytra rested Twilight down on a building, then watched as the god-king approached them. “Okay, I make a distraction, and you knock it out of his hands, alright?”

“Are you sure you can make a distraction?” she said. “You can’t do magic, and I think he might be going exclusively for me.”

“I’m a changeling, remember? It’s kinda my job to deceive people.” Elytra stretched himself out and traced his broken horn with a finger. “Just make sure you jump in when he’s distracted.” Elytra jumped up into the air and flew directly towards Asger.

He pulled from the center of his being and spread the magic that Asger put into him through his body and changed mid-flight into a complete copy of Asger himself. Asger only had a few seconds to react before Elytra’s spear plunged into his gut. The pain he felt was an illusion, but Asger didn’t know that. He stumbled back, bewildered, and without any knowledge of Twilight as she snuck up behind him.

She blasted the spear from his hands and up into the air. Just as quickly as Elytra had transformed, he transformed back, reaching out to grab the spear. With it in his hands, he felt the buzz of magic flow even stronger. He felt as if he could do anything. He pulled his arm back just enough to hurl the spear directly into Asger’s chest.

With quick hands, he caught it, the blade just before it ran him through. Despair crept up Elytra’s throat until Twilight appeared between the two, and pushed the spear directly through to the other side. Asger stood still for a few moments before pulling the spear out of his chest, repairing the damage they’d done to him. Twilight’s body was covered in her purple aura, and she flung herself at Asger.

Elytra pulled together a simple invisibility spell in front of Twilight so that she could easily punch him in the jab. He stumbled backward, but still had his spear firmly in his hand. Twilight charged her fists and continued wailing on him before bringing her foot back and kicking his hand with all her might. It launching the spear high into the sky.

Elytra flew as fast as his wings could carry him and grabbed ahold of the spear. He used both hands this time to fall to the earth, just to plunge the spear tip into his body. His face turned from surprise to anger, to acceptance. He was vanquished in battle, just as is every Yak’s dream.

Elytra dropped the speak and picked up Twilight. He flew her away from the city, just as her surge was ending. He flew and flew until he couldn’t even see the smoke billowing up from the once great Yakyakistan.

“Hm… I see. It’s a miracle that you got out alive, then.” Twilight had just finished telling her abridged version of the events that unfolded that day. Twilight sat alone in a small bar near Appleloosa, drinking a glass of water by herself. “I expect a full report. After a mission like that, however, I am willing to allow you to some time to rest and relax.” Twilight shook her head.

“I’ll be fine. I’m not that flimsy that a couple of days jailed will be enough to keep me down.” Twilight looked at her glass and downed the last bit of water. “I’ll be back home soon, ma’am. Goodbye for now.” The connection cut off, and Twilight was joined by somebody she hardly knew. A sandy-haired guy, around her age, wearing a ten-gallon hat too big for him.

“Is this seat taken?” he asked with a familiar tone of voice. Twilight smiled and pushed her glass towards him.

“I suppose not,” she said, with a smile. “How long are you going to keep following me?”

“Until you don’t want my company anymore.” Twilight nodded, finding reason in his answer. “That, or until I find out why you taste nearly identical to great grandma’s Christmas ham…” Twilight blushed.

“You’re still going on about that?” she asked with a giggle. “When I get back to Canterlot, I’m going to have to explain why I let a changeling tag along with me.” He looked offended but smiled at the end.

“Well, because you kinda fell for him?” he offered. “We should cross that bridge when we get there.”

“That’s not a good way of—” He leaned forward and, under the hat, managed to plant a kiss onto Twilight’s lips. She kissed him back but sat back a few seconds later. “That’s not going to stop it from being poor planning.”

“But it might make you feel better.” Twilight sighed, then nodded her head.

“It did.”
