Chapter Two
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI smiled memorizing a spell to make me invisible, once cast I smiled and stared at the camera in front of Fleur’s room. The camera wouldn’t be able to pick me up unless someone like Celestia read the tapes for magical feed, but that was very unlikely. Dumb unicorns.
I drew the same energy I felt the day I killed my parents and pushed it out. My fur tingled with static as a clean sweep of electricity wiped out the security camera, the camera screen cracked and sparks flew from it.
I readied myself to withdraw more surges of energy before I knocked on Fleur’s door. She was there indefinitely and I grasped a notepad and pencil from my saddlebag, part of my disguise.
“Why brings you here,” Fleur asked, “darling?”
“I’m Starry Spoon, editor for Fashion Magazine, I’m here for an interview,” I said, I rehearsed those lines thousands of times in front of a mirror.
“Hmm, they never contacted me in advance…” I held my breath.
“But alright!” She smiled, opening the door wider, “come in.” I trotted past her, her motel was a lot neater than mine and her desk was filled with papers, all about her and her ‘career.’
“May I have your finest tea,” I asked. She nodded and went to the kitchenette to prepare it. I spun on my heels turning to each corner of the room and zapping all the cameras I saw, I couldn’t nab the one in the kitchenette, soi just noted to not show my face there.
She came back quickly with a large tray of tea and sugar cubes in her magic. She set it on the table, and after sitting, she asked, “one lump or two?” Too late, I was already hovering many cubes into my tea and stirring it with my hoof.
“Dear, that necklace you have is absolutely tacky,” she said, noticing my amulet.
“Yeah, it was on sale so I nabbed it,” I said after a quick sip.
“On sale, how dreadful,” Fleur coed.
“Can you get some more sugar cubes,” I asked. She grinned and stood to get it. This was my chance. I snatched the rat poison out of my saddlebag, twisting it until the top popped off, I hovered it upside down over her tea and sprinkled it until a nice peak formed on top the liquid. I heard her enter again so I quickly snapped the lid on a tucked it into my bag, my magic making it easy to quickly stir her drink till it dissolved.
She smiled and set a bowl of sugar cubes on the table. “Now what do you want to interview me on?” I felt a sudden surge of excitement, I changed it and said;
“Your death,” I chuckled.
“My what,” she said, taking a long sip from the tea.
“Drink some tea,” I stated, she took another sip. “I’m reporting on your death.” The next sip brought a long cough from her chest. She heaved, scratching at her throat desperately. He faces began to blue and her eyes bludged.
“Help me...help-help!” Fleur choked. She stumbled out her chair, knocking herself to the ground. I stood over her, grinning.
“Not so tough now,” I laughed even more as her horn flickered out, “and no magic? Poor little unicorn too weak to use her magic.” I kicked her ribs, sending her on to her back, I then placed a hoof on her chest, not that she was strong enough to fight me anyway.
“Why?”
“Because you are your kind think it’s okay to stomp out other earth ponies,” I spat.
“Aren’t you a unicorn?” Fleur groaned, coughing over and over.
“Only so I can weed out mice like you,” I chuckled and the irony of it all. “I planted rat poison in your tea, fitting for a scum like you.”
She opened her mouth to scream, to plead, whatever it was it didn’t matter. Her life was in my hooves and that power alone allowed me to relate to my ex-parents in a whole-nother level.
“We must wrap this up dear, lest somepony come in and witness this,” I smiled, “so, how do you want to die?”
She sobbed out right now, her whimpers interrupted only by her coughs. “Ahh, the death of a unicorn so rich!” I could feel her life force draining, almost as if it had an electrical charge. I greedily slurped her soul into my own life force, feeling stronger than ever before.
Before her body finally slipped away, she vomited, her stomach making one last attempt to shove the bile out her system, too late, without a life force she was merely a shell, a shell that died instantly.
I rode an emotional wave of endorphins since Fleur’s death. Of course, newspapers all read a few days later: FASHION MOGUL FOUND DEAD IN HOTEL! SUDDEN DEATH OF SUPERMODEL ROCKS CANTERLOT!
Ugh, I can’t believe these ponies, she died who cares? I knew I had to move on quickly, packing up my things and heading on to the next hotel. This one had a nice peachy wall color.
It had one room. A small twin sized bed, a green sofa, and a plasma television. And an odd painting on the wall.
It was so ugly, my horn glowed as I hovered it off the wall and placed it on the bed. I gasped, finding a safe behind the wall. The code was reset allowing me to open it and set my own code. I grinned and placed the Alicorn Amulet inside and snapped it shut.
The code was 4508.
I flicked the television on. Right now the Grand Galloping Gala was starting. The news mare standing in front Canterlot castle wore a big smile as she explained tonight’s event. The camera panned to Princess Celestia.
“Tonight is a momentous occasion, tonight we celebrate the honor and legacy of Fleur De Lis. a great mare who was very close to me at the time of her tragic death.”
I growled at the screen. I had grown to hate the princesses so much. My horn gleamed as it pushed the codes in. I hovered the necklace to my neck and snapped it on, my eyes flashed red once more.
I was going to kill Princess Celestia. Tonight!
I hopped out the taxis, dropping two bits on the dashboard and hurrying into the line for the castle. I had stopped by a thrift store to by an old black and brown dress and some odd hat that looked like a raven threw up on it.
It would do fine for what I had planned. I slowly made my way to the front. “Ticket, ma’am?” The guard asked. I stammered, “I’m here to see Celestia herself. She said I didn’t need a ticket.”
“I doubt that,” he spat.
“Did I ask if you doubted me, step aside, mister,” I growled back. He rolled his eyes and let me inside. I quickly hurried up the steps, lifting the dress hem up so I could trot faster.
I eyed the roof above, there were many clear pipes, hidden under a cloaking spell. But it was clear they were sprinklers; so I couldn’t just set this place ablaze.
I looked around the hallway and when I found it I trotted inside. I hurried down the walkway, slipping out my horseshoes to move much more silently.
Up ahead, I heard the churning sound of a shower. I knocked on the door. “Who is it?” A voice stated.
“The...maid!” I lied. The door was hovered open and inside was Blue Blood, taking a shower.
“Why are you here?” I asked.
“Why are you here,” he asked, lifting an eyebrow.
“I was sent by Celestia, you must come fast.”
“Taking a shower, some stupid, mud pony touched me.” He grumbled, stepping back under the stream of hot water.
“Alright,” I frowned as the door was slammed in my face. I rolled my eyes and continued upstairs to the kitchen. It was very empty, seeing how the focus would be on the party down below.
I entered and found just what I was looking for. I ripped the toaster out the wall, the outlet ripped away and sparkled with electricity. I unplugged it and hurried back to Blue Blood. I knocked again.
“What!?”
“This is the maid,” I said flatly. He was annoying. He hovered the door open, unmoving from the bathtub. He had submerged himself inside it. A green sludge around his face with slices of cucumbers over his eyes.
“Celestia needs you quickly, she wants to make a toast,” I said, laughing to myself at my own pun. I plugged the toaster into the outlet by the sink.
“Tell her she can hold her horses, I’m busy,” Blue Blood whined. I smacked my hoof into the toaster, sending it flying into the bath.
“Busy getting murdered?” I said over his loud shrieks. My horn glowed as I shot another bolt of electricity into the water. His muscles stretched taut as his eyes bulge outward. The slices of cucumbers fell off and the water splashed onto me.
I recoiled, horn glowing again as I zipped his muzzle shut, pushing his head underwater. I felt it there as the rest of his body spasmed out. After a minute or two I released my magical hold and he slumped down.
Body attempting to float in the diluted water. I slimed, hovering a cucumber into my mouth. I slowly munched on it as I continued back to the Grand Galloping Gala. I halted as I almost crash into a dark blue figure overlooking the celebration from an almost balcony.
I had just run into Princess Luna. Who I hated, but could tolerate. “Oh,” I bowed low. “Princess Luna.”
“No need for that, my little pony,” she sighed. “I’m just hanging around.”
“By yourself,” I asked.
“Oh. Nopony really wants to hang with me anyway,” Luna frowned.
“Neither do I- I mean, nobody wants to hang with me too,” I stammered.
“Perhaps we can keep each other’s company.” Luna asked, “Hmph.”
“What?”
“You’re necklace looks so close to the Alicorn Amulet, an evil artifact. But no...you couldn’t get your hooves on-” I cut her off with a powerful jolt of energy, paralyzing her instantly. Her eyes shot wide as the current opt through her.
I sighed and placed her on my back. She wasn’t moving even if I wanted her too. I trotted downstairs to see Celestia and Twilight greeting ponies in the front. I cleared my throat. I had to look intimidating else this wouldn’t work. And I only had one shot.
“FILLIES AND GENTLECOLTS!” I boomed. The room fell silent as I dumped Luna off my back, she smacked against the marble tiles. “It is I, Starry Spoon, you may not know me, but you will know me very soon. Around my neck is the Alicorn Amulet. And I WILL be taking over Equestria!”
A collective gasp hushed throughout the room and Twilight Sparkle stepped forward. “No, you won’t! The power of friendship-” I zapped her quickly, not caring for the classic monologue trope played out so many times.
She dropped down, spazzing in pain as her muscles were forced taut. She squealed, mane sizzling, her hips thrust skyward as she pissed herself all over the floor. Celestia yelled, tears forming in her eyes.
She sped towards me and I threw up a protective bubble. I blasted her back with a stream of blue magic. The crowd screamed, galloping in all direction to escape.
I focused my magic on the sun butt herself. My horn charged like a flame as I electrocuted the princess. Her horn flickered in an attempt to put up a protective barrier but failed many times. Her fur was burnt off, falling off in small strands. Her flesh was exposed and burned as well.
A loud explosion like a cannon sounded from her horn as it exploded in a hailstorm of bone fragments and shards.
I reared up cycling loud as the entire castle went up in a large explosion from my rush of power. The amulet feeding off the greatest act of evil a pony could commit. I protected myself with a bubble of magic but the debris crashing into it was almost too much.
I groaned, my horn feeling like it was being yanked off. I sighed as the dust settled, hovering myself on top of the mess. I looked around and only saw the destruction. I did it! I killed the princesses.
I groaned and dragged Celestia by her tail next to me. She was alive. “Make me an alicorn,” I urged.
“Huh?”
“Make me an alicorn! Now, I defeated you once,” I sneered.
“Can’t my horn!” She cried out as I fished the broken appendage on and sewed it back into its place. Her horn glowed; testing if the connection was there.
She attempted to blast me but I flicked up a shield which reflected the blast and back onto her. She groaned as she collapsed back down on the rubble. “No…” she sobbed.
“Yes, yes, yes!” I laughed. “Make me an alicorn, and I’ll cease my destruction of Equestria.”
Celestia looked into my eyes, searching for something; maybe to see if I was lying, or if I could be trusted at all. She nodded slowly, her horn glowing brightly as I was thrust into a teal void.
My life flashed before me like a slideshow and it was really boring. I felt big wings form at my sides. Suddenly, I was jerked back. Celestia had vomited at my hooves. Too weak to even continue a basic spell. Well, it was basic to me.
The power surging through me as immense. And it made me feel so untouchable. I kicked her in the snout, sending her rolling back. I flapped my wings and took flight, fluttering down to her other side, so she could see me.
“I lied,” I chuckled.
“No! You didn’t lie! I saw into your eyes and...and…”
“When I used that shield spell I also used an Infestis spell to conceal my lies, I was lying to you and you couldn’t even tell, because of you the world will burn, and countless of worlds within my magical reach.”
Celestia sighed, how could she be fooled so easily? “It’s time to end your insufferable life? How does it feel living forever and just now experiencing the agony of an inescapable death?”
“I’m not ready, I’ve never been ready, but I know that you will be stopped,” she hissed, rolling over, hooves crossed as she looked skyward. At the sky full of ash and darkened like it was on fire.
“By who? The magic of friendship, puh-lease,” I chuckled. My horn glowed as I jolted her with more energy. I took it slow, the force strong enough to make her spaz but not enough for an serious pain.
I turned up the notch, horn glowing brighter. She roared and ethereal scream as the pain was more than she could bear. I could describe how she felt as I felt the same agony.
Black dots swimming throughout your vision. Vocal chords shredded as your lungs let in air and pushed it out in an endless shriek. I felt my power raise tenfold and the heinous act. I had to thank the creator of this trinket.
Her eyes slowly snapped shut as her heart simply exploded from beating so fast. Her lungs popping like balloons as well. I giggled, casting my eyes up; towards Ponyville.
