Investigation

A few days after the gas attack Celestia was at her table meeting with Equestria Defense advisors as she was trying to form a group who could investigate the gas attack, they all came to an agreement to form a group to investigate the incident. Celestia formed an investigation panel and asked ponies to join the the investigation.

The investigation panel began their investigation soon after ponies joined as they went around and asked workers at the post office from where the mail was sent from and why they didn't check it, that was when they found a huge problem which was that the post office never checked ponies mail.

Celestia found this out so she created a bill and passed it without any opposition which stated that all mail all over Equestria must be checked when ever it passes through the post office, their was some controversy but a lot of ponies knew that invasion of privacy was better than being killed.

Celestia then told the post office that it didn't have the address of the sender on it and she said that it shouldn't have been approved to go through since it didn't have the senders address on it. The post office looked at the letter and stated that they made a dire mistake in letting it go through.

A few days after this revelation the post office fired the officials who let the mail go through and hired ponies that would be better at making sure to check mail, meanwhile as Equestrian officials changed the policies of post offices all over Equestria due to Celestia's bill the investigation into who sent the mail to Twilight continued.

The only problem was that Celestia and Equestrian officials had no idea on who sent the mail, they asked the post office who received the mail but they had no idea because the address didn't have the sender's address. This baffled the public and they feared that the pony who did this would get away with the attempted assassination.

So the investigators were led to Appleloosa so they raided the post office which was a controversal move but Celestia didn't care, they arrested every pony in the post office and looked through every record that was in the post office to look for the culprit that did this to Twilight.

They soon found a lead into the ponies that dud this and they found the address if this family that sent the letter to Twilight, Celestia ordered a raid on the couples house and they arrested the couple.

They couple was put on trial in the highest court of the land in Canterlot, they were declared guilty of trying to assassinate Twilight while using biological weapons and they were declared guilty of being in possession of a weapon of mass destruction and they were hanged, the couple was hanged in front of a huge audience and Twilight was given the honor in watching the hanging from a throne.

Justice had finally been served as the ponies who had tried to kill Twilight were now dead. Twilight's book that explained the ordeal that she went through became a national bestseller as everypony in Equestria talked about it while a lot of ponies bought the book. Twilight got therapy for her mental scars that she had gotten from the attack on her life and she improved from the attack over time which her family celebrated that fact with her, ponies showered her with sympathy and love which she appreciated so much. Banquets were held in her honor and the incident was taught in schools so that future generations could know about the attack on the princess.

Equestria was happy that the incident that had happened to Twilight was over, they were happy that Twilight didn't die and they were happy that Twilight had recovered from the attack as well and ponies in Equestria hoped that what happened to Twillight would never happen again to her or her friends or her family or anypony else ever again. The incident that had happened to Twilight was remembered each year as ponies reflected on what had happened to Twilight and what had caused her to almost die.ey would never forget what happened to Twilight so that the incident could never happen again to somepony else that was a high profile official that had powerful positions in the momarchy of Equestria.

A tribute to Twilight was made which depicted her coming out of the incident as a very strong and determined pony, Twilight loved the statue and thanked the officials who dedicated it to her, Celestia passed legislation that banned chemicals, Equestria made sure to lock up all of the chemicals they had so that nopony could get to them and use them for evil crimes against ponies.

They also started to monitor ponies a lot more, a Celestia started a surveillance program that had ponies watch the citizens of Equestria every day to make sure they never committed any crimes, this was proved very effective as they arrested ponies in ten seconds after they had commited crimes, sure they had to investigate some crimes that happened under unknown circumstances but other than that the program worked micracles and instances of crime dropped as it became impossible to commit a crime due to ponies monitoring the citizens of Equestria.

Crime still happened but it only happened once in a while as it was very hard to commit a crime when ponies who wanted to commit crimes couldn't, they put criminals on watchlists as well so that if a criminal commits another crime like they have done before they can be linked to the crime in a matter of seconds.

Twilight was happy that crime had been beaten in Equestria but she was upset that it had to happen after something had happened to her but she knew that at least she came away alive and she knew that at least Equestria was a bit safer by it.
