Akirie happily munched on her second sandwich of the day thanks to her hour and a half visit to Torterra’s house. Suicune was still angry, but she paid him no mind as she watch the timer on the teleporter go down. Still after Suicune had dealt with Exuberant by taping her to the wall as punishment. He decided to take a seat beside Akirie and waited for the timer to go down.
Seeing that there was at least twenty minutes left on the timer, Akirie managed to have finished her sandwich before looking over to her master. “Got milk~?”
“I should be asking you that… I’m very parched.” Suicune replied as he glared at her.
“What?” Akirie shrugged.
“Nothing… Anyways I have been considering going on my own.” He asked in a serious tone. “I don’t know if you're ready to take on this task.”
“Seriously? You’re going back on your word?” Akirie narrowed her eyes.
“I said I’m considering, but if you keep giving me that attitude then I will!” Suicune said glaring at the young girl. “So, do you plan to actually take this seriously?”
“There’s a fine line between serious and not.” Akirie made an ‘inch’ gesture with her index and thumb. “I’m on said line… And zigzag in between the two.”
Suicune only growled at that response before slapping her in the back of the head. “You dolt! That’s not an answer! I swear you act like a child! You are better than this!”
“Seeing you annoyed is very rewarding.” Akirie snickered, covering her mouth with a hand, but that didn’t stop the deity from hitting her in the back of her head once more. “Ow! I don’t know who abuses me more, you or Gardevoir!” She said as she rubbed the back of her head.
“If you can’t understand that, then maybe you’ll understand this! Do you want to prove yourself?”
“Yeah…?” Akirie replied.
“Then… I’ll let you come… But I expect you to take it seriously!” Suicune stated nonchalantly before the timer had begun to beep and the portal began to open.
“It’s finally ready?” Akirie asked.
“I suppose so…” Suicune stated before he looked back at Exuberant and pulled her off the wall. “Make sure to keep in touch with us… We’ll need you to open the portal once we’re done.”
“If we’re done.” Akirie added casually.
“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to have the portal up and ready for the next time.” Exuberant said as she floated over to the control panel.
“Later Exu!” Akirie called out while waving.
“Farewell my old friend… Oh, and I suggest you fix that warming up setting, because if you don’t… There will be consequences.” Suicune added with a deadly glare before vanishing into the portal with his apprentice.
“M-Maybe I should get to work on that immediately.”
Twilight limped through the ashes of Ponyville, tears running down the sides of her face. Was there something she could’ve done to prevent it? Did she make a mistake?
Those thoughts and more flashed through the Princess’ exhausted mind. She’d never seen something so ruthless, even Tirek never killed anyone, but that creature killed without a second thought. She felt sick to her stomach, like she’d throw up at that moment with how many corpses she saw.
It was something out of a nightmare.
‘I hope the girls are alright… and Spike.’ She thought to herself. The stench of burnt flesh attacked her nostrils, and that vomit she hoped wouldn’t come out decided to ignore her wishes as she hacked up her breakfast. “I-I need to warn… Princess Celestia.”
Despite her injuries, she still attempted to take flight, only to fail and fall onto debris from a demolished house. The stress was simply too much for her to take, she had failed to protect her town and the ponies who lived in it. But just as she attempted to get up a green vortex had opened and two strange creatures emerged from it.
“So this is where he was last seen?” A tall, blue quadruped creature asked as he looked at the surrounding area, seeing nothing but death and despair. “It has already begun.”
“Wowzers, I’ve never seen this much destruction…” Akirie said as she looked around. “Looks like a nice place to live though… Minus the uh, town itself…”
“Look for any survivors… We need to know what has happened.” Suicune ordered as he began to levitate off the ground. “I’ll see if Zamasu is anywhere nearby.”
“Fine. Later gator.” The young girl said as she began to look around for anyone that was still breathing and just as she is just about to leave, she hears weezing somewhere near her.
“Please… Help…” Twilight said, trying to stand once more before falling back into the dirt. Akirie didn’t speak, but ran over to her and picked her up.
“Hurp~! Ponies are heavy! Heavy~!” She grunted as she struggled to run out of the down.
“W-What… are you?” Was all she asked.
“A Joker, now just tell me where the nearest person that can help you is!” She asked before Twilight began to point in the direction of Sweet Apple Acres, and Akirie sprinted to the farm.
“F-Find Applejack.” She whispered before finally passing out.
“Who the-!?” Akirie shouted, but didn’t finish, knowing it would be pointless. Readjusting her hold on the mare, Akirie quickened her pace moreso and after a few minutes she arrived at a barn with a sign that said Sweet Apple Acres. “I have a purple pegacorn that’s clearly seen better days, so someone come out here and take her!”
But nobody answered as Akirie continued walking towards the barn with the little alicorn in her arms. She wanted to call out again, but that’s when she began to hear whispers coming from within the barn. Without a second thought Akirie then kicked the doors opened to find three fillies and a small purple dragon hiding behind a wooden post.
“Hey, I have your pegacorn.” Akirie said in a laid back way in hopes it’d calm them down.
“G-Get away from her!” The small purple dragon shouted as he stepped forward. “O-Or else A-Applejack is gonna buck you into next week!”
“Wait, what me into next week!? Watch your language!” Akirie said, before sighing and unceremoniously dropping the Princess of Friendship. “But fine, I have other matters to attend to. Don’t do drugs kids.” With that, Akirie turned around and sauntered away.
Meanwhile, Suicune flew all over the town in search of survivors or even clues to where Zamasu had gone, but only found death and ruin’s in his wake before he finally landed gently on the ground and tried to find Zamasu’s scent, but it was difficult with the smell of ashes and burning flesh. Just as he was about to take off, he felt another deities energy on the move to where he was. ‘This isn’t good… I better find Akirie! I just hope that girl is staying out of trouble.’
Meanwhile...
“Gah!” Akirie yelped as she slammed into an apple tree after being bucked in her hip by an orange mare and sent careening out of control. ‘Oooohhh! Buck, not fu-’ Her internal realization was cut short.
“What’re ya’ll doin’ here causing all this ruckus in our town!” The orange mare shouted as she stood over the human girl.
“I don’t think ruckus describes what Zamasu did at all… It was more of burn the darn thing to ashes.” Akirie said, but the mare wasn’t taking any of that. “Um… You see, there’s been a misunderstanding… Eheh.”
“So you are involved with whatever attacked our town!” She accused her before turning around and kicking her once again into a tree. “I swear if ya hurt Twi in anyway… I’m gonna break botha yer legs!”
“Um… I’m kinda involved, but not really involved… You see, Zamasu’s a criminal where I’m from and when he broke out, my master and I tracked him here so we can stop him… I’m Joker by the way.”
“Well I ain’t sure I can trust ya, but I suppose I should be kind enough to explain yerself!” She stated as she watched Akirie sit herself up against the apple tree.
“You see, my master’s like a multiversal… um… do you know about the multiverse?” Akirie smiled cheekily.
“Stop talking whowee and get to the point already?!” Applejack demanded.
“We’re basically interdimensional police officers who let the crook get away, even after I crippled him. We tracked him here where… well, I found that pegacorn in the town and dragged her here.” Akirie said in a rapid fire like manner. “Oh, and we’re here to catch him. My master’s on his trail, but until he explains things better, you can tie me up.”
“Well… I would, but I don’t have rope on me… Still if I so much as find out that yer lying. I’m gonna buck ya’ll inta next week!!!” Applejack shouted as she marched off towards the barn and slammed the doors shut.
“Welp… That was a waste of time.” Akirie stood up and winced slightly at her sore hips. She then began to walk back towards the town, more than a little disgruntled before she caught a glimpse of her master flying towards her at full speed and grabbing her from her torso and lifting her up into the air.
“There’s no time to explain! Something is after us and we can’t afford to expose ourselves when it arrives!” Suicune shouted as he flew as fast as he could, gripping Akirie’s torso tightly in his arms as he carried them off deep into Sweet Apple Acres to what appeared to be a club house. Akirie only stared at Suicune wide eyed the entire way there, not blinking for a second. “I suppose this is a good enough place to stay hidden until whatever that massive amount of energy coming from that… thing should pass. For now try to keep your energy low.”
Suicune said, landing down safely and releasing his apprentice from his grasp. “So… Were you just looking for a reason to carry me~? Cause all you had to do was ask~” Akirie said in a playful, sultry voice.
“What are you talking about?” Suicune said raising a brow at Akirie. “There is something out there…”
“You’re no fun… What’s out there?” Akirie asked as she peeked out of the window where two spheres or light soared through the sky rapidly, one of them was blue and the other yellow. Just as she was about to say something, Suicune placed his paw over her mouth.
“Shh…” Was all he said as the two looked out the window and watched as the two entities begin flying off, leaving the two to catch their breath. “That was too close… last thing we want is to draw unwanted attention, especially if they have power like that.”
“Who are ‘they’?” Akirie asked, clearly annoyed.
“I don’t know… but whoever they are… I don’t think they are our friends.” Suicune said before leaning his back against the wall and taking a seat. “Fighting one of them wouldn’t be too difficult, but two is a different story.”
“I could distract one and make a beeline until you’re done with yours.” Akirie suggested, pulling out her gun.
“There’s no need to engage… We need to conserve as much power as we can for our fight against Zamasu.” Suicune replied before the two entities disappeared from view.
“What should we do about them after Zamasu?” Akirie asked as she put away her gun in a disheartened fashion.
“Nothing… we are only here for Zamasu and no one else. For now we rest until we encounter Zamasu again.” He replied as he laid down. “Try to get some rest to Akirie.”
“In a treehouse? I have standard.” Akirie complained.
“Does it look like there’s a five star hotel nearby? No there isn’t… We’ll rest here for the night, so try to get comfortable okay?” Suicune replied.
Akirie simply sighed and did what her master had told her, but sleeping on the floor wasn’t really her style. So she stood up, walked over to Suicune and plopped face first onto him. “You’re soft…”
“W-What are you doing?” Suicune asked as he looked back at Akirie with his cheeks flushed red.
“I’m not sleeping on wood. You’re my bed.” Akirie said before shutting her eyes.
With a deep sigh simply laid his head back down. “This will only be a one time thing.” He said before finally closing his eyes.
“You love it~” Akirie teased.
“I think you’re the one that loves it.” He replied before the two rested for the remainder of the day.
Deep within the Everfree Forest, Zamasu sat down by beside a lake as ki flowed throughout his body as he began to walk into the lake with a smirk across his face.
“After 500 years of being imprisoned in that accursed void, finally I’ll have the perfect power that’ll match my immortality.” He said aloud as the entire lake began to turn into a dark shade of purple. “Let’s hope this spell will work.”
As the portal opened, Zamasu was sent flying out of the lake and crashing into a tree as another figure floated over to him. “Are you the one who summoned me?” The figure asked as it helped Zamasu to his feet.
“Yes… And together we’ll finally bring true justice to this world.” He replied with a smirk across his face. “Son Goku!”
Author's Note
Sorry guys if that last scene wasn't the best, but I tried many ways to fix it and it just doesn't work. Advise and proper editing would be very helpful.
