Laughter's Corruption: An elements of harmony tale

As you fall into your deep slumber, you find yourself surrounded by the darkness. Your soul being the only light to illuminate yourself. Wavering in the sea of darkness you must seek the light for it is your only way out. And though you may face your darkest nightmares you must never let that darkness rule you, for you are who you are. Don't fall to the hands of corruption, instead defeat it, but know this corruption takes on many forms, and while you may be unsuspecting...it lies inside of us all.

Now...

Awaken

*Gasp*

Pinkie Pie jumped up, taking in heavy breathes.

"Wha-What happened?" Pinkie Pie said.

She looked around to take in the surroundings.

"What? How did I get out here?" Pinkie Pie said.

She paused for a moment, trying to remember how she got out here. Suddenly she was overcome with a terrible headache. Causing her to groan in pain. The agony the headache gave her felt like her brain was splitting in two. Placing her hooves upon her head she began to scream in pain. Then it was gone like a breeze flowing past you.

"Wha-What was that?" Pinkie Pie said to herself. "All I did was try to remember how I got out here and suddenly I just got this terrible headache."

The situation didn't make any sense to her. Pinkie Pie would get headaches, but not to this level of pain. It felt like a loud noise was screeching inside her head. Suddenly Pinkie Pie began to feel something warm trickle down past her lips. Upon touching the warm substance she raised to her view only to find that it was blood coming from her snout.

"Did I get this from that headache?" Pinkie Pie asked herself.

The blood slowly ran from her snout as she tried to stop it. Holding her head back she tried to wait for the blood to stop on it's own.

"If I know one way to stop a bloody snout, then that would be this." Pinkie Pie said.

Shortly the blood began to cease and Pinkie Pie could move on.

"That was a lot of blood that was running. I think because I tried to remember how I got out here that headache cause my snout to bleed." Pinkie Pie said. "Well now I know what'll happen so now I can avoid it".

She began to walk, making her way to Ponyville. Surely she has been out here before and could easily make her way back to Ponyville, but the questioned remained, how did she get out here in the first place? Upon reaching Ponyville Pinkie Pie was overcome with an urge to take a detour. As if by on impulse she took a turn.

"I should probably check on Fluttershy first. Maybe she knows why I was out there." Pinkie Pie said.

Moving along the road that lead to Fluttershy's cottage Pinkie Pie began to notice that something was a bit off.

"What happened here?" Pinkie Pie said.

Along the road were tons of saddle bags and ponies clothes that lined up beside the road.

"Maybe they were getting rid of their old stuff." Pinkie Pie said. Trying to sound optimistic.

Continuing her walk she finally reached Fluttershy's cottage.

"Something strange is going on here. With those saddle and stuff lying about and me being so far out of Ponyville without any one around, and my headache. Something is indeed off, but maybe that's just me being Pinkie Pie" Pinkie Pie said.

As she approached Fluttershy's door she began to hear a strange noise on the other side.

"What  is that?" Pinkie Pie said.

Before opening the door Pinkie Pie gave a few knocks to let Fluttershy know that there was somepony at the door. She knew from the last time she just barged in on Fluttershy how it almost gave her a heart attack.

Knock-Knock-Knock

The sound faded giving Pinkie Pie discomfort. Pinkie Pie was about to knock again when the door suddenly started to open, giving a creaking noise at each second. Pinkie Pie slowly steps in not being able to see anything past the light that's emitting from the door. The atmosphere felt cold and frightening as she reached the end of the light. The air smelled foul, it's putrid odor attacking Pinkie Pie's snouts causing her to nearly throw up.

"Fluttershy...are you in here?" Pinkie Pie asked.

She heard nothing.

Suddenly the door closed behind her closing off the only light in the room. Pinkie Pie stood still in fright as she could hear something moving around in the dark. Hesitating to speak Pinkie Pie began to move, trying to get away from where she was originally standing.

Creak-Creak-Creak

With each step Pinkie Pie took the floor gave a chilling creak, only placing more terror upon her as she feared she would be attacked. Nothing was making sense to her, Fluttershy wouldn't have her home smelling like this, she would be so quiet even when she called out her name. But something was bugging Pinkie Pie something she didn't notice when she was approaching Fluttershy's cottage, but what, what could it be?

Then it came to her.

Where are Fluttershy's animals that are always around her home? Suddenly Pinkie Pie began to hear growling coming from behind her. The creatures hot breath blowing onto her neck, Pinkie Pie was frozen in fear.

"What should I do, should I run? I don't know who this creature might be, it could all ready be over me." Pinkie Pie thought to her self.

Suddenly she could feel the air being stolen from her lungs as she could no longer feel the floor. Then what followed after was a hard knock to the ground. The force only taking more air from her lungs causing her to become light headed as she tried to desperately breath. Just what happened?

Then suddenly she began to hear stomping as the noise approached her. Once again she was off the ground, suspended in the air as she came to a crushing stop when she hit the ground. The pain began to overwhelm her as her body convulsed agony. She didn't know what was happening to her, but this time she felt something. She was being grabbed by something big and it was swinging her by her hoove.

"Ahhhh!" Pinkie Pie screamed.

The pain was to much to hold in and she ended up letting out her pain. Once again she began to hear the stomping as it approached her. Trying to gather her strength so she could stand Pinkie Pie jumped out of the way. Following behind was a loud noise as the creature smashed into the wall. Suddenly there was a loud scream as the creature jumped away from the wall.

"Wha-What happened?" Pinkie Pie asked.

Suddenly she began to feel something warm and bright as it touched her face. Looking up she could see that light was beginning to peak through when that creature rammed into the wall. Was it afraid of the light?

It was something that might work, and Pinkie Pie was willing to try it out. Standing up on her legs she screamed at the creature provoking it to come at her. Listening to where the stomping is coming from Pinkie Pie jumped out of the way, causing the creature to ram into another wall. This time more light began to come through only causing the creature to hide.

"I just need a little bit more." Pinkie Pie said.

Standing in front of a hole she screamed at the creature only driving it to become more furious as it charged at her. Barely getting out of the way she managed to dodge the creature's assault ash it charged through the wall. Light began to fill the room as Pinkie Pie was given a horrible sight.

*Gasp*

Stacking up nearly to the ceiling lied dozens of bodies, all of which were chewed on as if made to be some type of chew toy.

Blood was slowly leaking out of their corpse as flies buzzed around them. Pinkie Pie couldn't bare it any longer and she ended up throwing up from the sight. Managing herself she walked towards the wall to see what that creature was.

"Uh...wha-what is that?" Pinkie Pie said.

Looking at the creature she could see that it was some type of enlarged animal. But she couldn't make heads or tails from it, just it wasn't something she has seen before. She could still see that the creature was clinging to life by a thread as it's body twitched from the light.

"By my guess you must have never seen the sunlight." Pinkie Pie said.

Suddenly her body became wobbly as she was beginning to lose consciousness. Her mind finally blacking out from the pain she fell to the ground.

Suddenly she awoke.

"Uh...where am I?" Pinkie Pie said.

Surrounded by nothing but darkness Pinkie Pie began to feel cold. Just what was this place? She could not feel anywhere she could, suspended in the stillness of the void. Suddenly she began to hear a voice.

"Who's there?" Pinkie pie asked.

"Pinkamena...hey Pinkamena wake up" Said the mysterious voice.

"Pinkamena...that's my name, but who could possibly know my real name?" Pinkie Pie said.

Suddenly her eye's opened, but something was wrong. Long strands of pink hair hung over her face.

"Why is my hair straight. I usually keep it puffy." Pinkie Pie said.

Suddenly she began to hear another voice.

"Scootaloo you know I don't like to be woken when I take my naps" Pinkamena said.

"Sorry I just wanted to show you something amazing." Scootaloo said.

"Oh really, well I'd like to see what you caught for me today." Pinkamena said.

"Caught?" Pinkie said.

Following behind Scootaloo Pinkie Pie was lead into a small room. As she entered the room she could see a small red light that hung in the middle of the room. Under that light was a surgical table with a clothe covering it. As she looked closely she could see that there was somepony underneath the sheet, but who?

"I found her trying to sneak out the other day." Scootaloo said.

"Oh so she must want more punishment then huh?" Pinkamena said. "I am dying to know who this is so show me already Scootaloo."

"Okay Pinkamena." Scootaloo said.

With a tug of the sheet Scootaloo pulled it from the surgical table showing the pony that she caught.

"Fluttershy!!!" Pinkie Pie shouted.

"Oh Fluttershy so you still haven't learned from your last punishment. I guess I need to come up with something a bit more drastic then." Pinkamena said. Giving a most sinister grin.

*Gasp*

Pinkie Pie awoke from a violent headache causing her whole body go numb from the pain. Her brain quaked as she felt the violent force knock back and forth inside her head. Moments after the pain had faded she was finally able to stand, her body still shaking from the experience she just witnessed. The mere thought of what they were going to do to Fluttershy frightened her. Could something like that really happen, Pinkie Pie was confused. But she knew one thing, that the only way she could find out.

Was to go to Ponyville.
