Well Aren't We Lucky
Well Aren't We Secretive Pt. 1
Previous ChapterThe last bell of of the first day of high school rang. The halls were jam packed with teens in no time as they all tried to get home or wherever else they were planning on going.
Dash was out in the front of the school first. She was waiting for the other two girls to there when she noticed out of the corner of her eye, what looked like three girls picking on another girl.
Dash didn’t even think twice before she swooped in and got between the girl and her pursuers.
“Hey! What the hell do you think you’re doing picking on her like that!” she got a good look at the main bully,”ah shit…” she thought when she saw the girl.
The girl made a snobby snort,”Hm, well, well, well. If it isn’t Rainbow Dash. What are you doing butting into other people’s lives again? Don’t you have something better to do?”
“Last I checked, you’re the one butting into other people’s lives with no valid reason, Rarity!”
The girl being picked on didn’t know what to think, she just stood there, motionless out of pure shock and fear.
“Look...I’m not in the mood to get into a verbal fight today, okay. My father is hosting a grand party tonight for my first day of high school and I can not be all worked up before then,”.
“I don’t care about your stupid party! You have to learn someday that you can’t just go around picking on whoever you please!”
“Ugh! Fine! How about I cut you a deal. I’ll invite you and your icky friends to my grand soiree if you stick your pointy nose out of my life,” Rarity made a disgusted face as if just the words of inviting Dash and her friends to her party was the most revolting thing in all of Esterwitch.
“No. Thank you.”
“Hm, why not?!” she repulsed.
“Why should I?”
“Because who, in all of Esterwitch, Nevada, would not want to attend of my parties?!”
“Me!”
“Ugh, besides you…”
Dash stood there for a good minute or so, puzzled looks on her and the girl she was defending’s faces,”...What does this
conversation have to do with anything?”
“It has to do with the fact that you don’t want to attend my reception!”
“B-But...who the hell cares?” the look of absolute confusion still present on her face.
“I do!”
“. . .” she stood there, silent, annoyed to no end with how dumb this had become,”You know what? I’m done with this retarded conversation, I’m outta here,”she grabbed the victim's hand,”let’s go, Bug Eyes”
Rarity watched her leave, fuming.
Dash and the girl went back over to where Rainbow was before she saw tormenting and sat down with her to wait for Pinkie and Applejack who were taking an awfully long time.
The silence between the two was awkward.
“U-um…” the timid girl began to speak,”t-thank you...for what you did back there, it was very brave”
“No problem, wasn’t my first time dealing with a stuck-up bitch like her”
The silence came back.
“So…”, Dash made an attempt to break the silence again, ”what’s your name? I’m Rainbow Dash, the best athlete that will ever grace this school!”
“I-I’m Fluttershy…” she mumbled in response.
“What?”
“I’m Fluttershy…”She mumbled again.
“Dude, it’s kinda hard for me to understand what you’re saying if I can’t understand you” Dash just looked at her in annoyance, she noticed the fact that the girl was quite tall, like herself, "How about I call you 'Random Tall Girl', that suites you!"
Just then, Applejack and Pinkie Pie emerged through the school’s front doors,”Sorry we’re late RD, we had to go find my brother,”
Rainbow Dash and Random Tall Girl looked up to see the two girls, then out walked Applejack’s older brother, Macintosh but everyone calls him “Big Mac” for short.
Random Tall Girl gasped and her pupils got larger,”W-Who is that!?” she was staring straight at Big Mac.
“Oh, this,” Applejack gestured to her brother, “is my older brother Macintosh, Big Mac for short...now who are you?”
“This is Random Tall Girl” Dash said.
"I doubt that" Applejack replied with chagrin.
“C’mon Applejack, we gotta get gone,” Big Mac nudged her shoulder, gesturing for her to follow him.
“Alrighty gang, I gotta go. Bye Pinkie, bye Dash” she stopped at Random Tall Girl, “Bye uh...you” she forced a smile. Big Mac waved a hearty goodbye as well and they were off.
"Welp, I should get going too, I've got soccer try-outs next week so I'd better practice if I wanna make the team...not that I won't" Dash said cockily, "Later Pinkie and Random Tall Girl!" she her skateboard and helmet out of her bag and just like that, she was off.
When Dash got home she could smell her mother's cooking before she even got inside, she was making her favorite food,
"Aww yeah!" she pumped her fist and ran inside, "Hey mom"
"Welcome home sweetie! How was your first day of high school?" she set the giant sandwich down in front of her.
"Same as always for me mom, booo-ring!"
"Well then I thing you deserve a gold medal for being able to stick it through! We'll call it,'Esterwitch's most perseverant girl'!" her mom beamed.
"How about...no,".
Her mom laughed, "Oh you are just the funniest thing! You're so hilarious!"
Dash finished her sandwich in no time and retreated upstairs to her room, "Ugh, there can't possibly have more annoying parents than mine..." she grumbled under her breath.
Dash walked into her room and grabbed a maroon colored book that read "Journal" on the front cover from out of her bedside drawer. She walked over to her desk that was covered in clutter. She sat down, turned on her desk lamp, grabbed a red pen and started writing:
Hello Journal,
Well, I'm officially a high schooler. It's pretty cool, I guess. The teachers are all pretty lame so far. I'm really pissed that I only got one class with AJ and it's P.E. Well...I guess I'm not that upset. It is P.E. of all classes. I could have gotten Physics to be my only class with her. At least I get to run with her, play basketball with her, play volleyball with her, play tennis with her and watch her do all that stuff when I break my bones. I also get to spend lunch with her! Oh...and Pinkie too, I guess. I know I know, I always spend time with her. I have since I was three, but I can't help the fact that ever since 7th grade every time I even think about her my heart begins to race, faster than I can run. But...sadly, I can never muster up the courage to tell her how I feel...the one time I need to be brave I can't. Can you blame me though? Her mom is super religious and believes that same sex relationships are "A Sin", her dad will take her mom's side on anything even if he doesn't actually agree with her, her brother is a snitch and her sister is four. Not that any of that matters anyway, I'm sure even if her family would welcome the relationship with open arms she still wouldn't be into me. She's 100% into guys...I'm pretty sure. I mean, I'm not even into girls, for the record, just Applejack. There's just something about her that makes me want her so bad! I just
Well, that's all the bottled up sappiness I wanted to get out for today...this entree is probably going to haunt me someday, just like all of the other ones. Whatever.
Rainbow Dash, out!
When she finished she closed her journal, put away her pen, turned off her lamp and went to bed.
Not without hiding the journal back in her sock drawer first, of course.
Author's Note
Well guys, that was part 1 of the "Secretive" area in this story. I'm currently panning on that only taking 2 parts but we'll see how it goes. I'm sure you guys could tell that I switched from 1st person standpoint to 3rd person. Well, writing in 3rd person is much easier for me and normally in writing, switching narrator points is a big no-no but I don't plan on changing that first chapter anytime soon and here's why: I kinda want to give you guys those little "Inside Scoops" if you will into each of the main character's mind, letting you get to experience first hand what really goes on in their heads.
So, the next chapter should be from Applejack's POV, maybe, no promises though. I hope you guys are enjoying the story so far!
With love~

P.S. Just in case you didn't know, there is no such place (as far as I know) called Esterwitch in the middle of Nevada.
