As Gold Star prepares to finish Tirek off with his Steel Beast, an Automaton reports spotting Princess Twilight and her friends heading for the Tree of Harmony. Seeing his attempt to be a hero will fail, Gold Star decides to cut his lose and take somepony of near equal worth, Prince Shining Armor.
