The Perfect Artificial Alicorn
During it's about time...
Tirek sleeps in his cell, until hearing heavy footsteps climbing up the stairs. He gets up and sees a golden heavily armored pony approaching his cell.
"I am Gold Star and I'm here to free you.", Gold Star said to Tirek. "And don't bother trying to take my magic, for I am a member of PURGE."
"P-PURGE? That PURGE?", Tirek asks nervously.
"Yes, so you better not lay a finger on me, unless you want to upset my boss.", Gold Star said tearing the cage door off.
"Want will you have me do?"
"Do what you usually do.", Gold Star said leaving.
"What a strange pony. Remind me of Dark Reaper."
Twilight's Kingdom...
Gold Star sits on the top of one of the towers watching Discord appearing next to Shining Armor wearing his helmet.
"So Celestia sends Discord to do her dirty work.", Gold Star said. "You have gotten lazy, Celestia and it'll cost you in more ways than one."
After Discord and Tirek leaves the castle to find Twilight, Gold Star enters the throne room and stares at the melted stained glass of Princess Twilight Sparkle.
"So Shining Armor, not only do you have an alicorn princess for a wife, but a sister as well. You must be proud of living in a shadow.", Gold Star said, before turning to the stained glass of Discord using the three princesses as puppets. "You think you're perfect. You think you're so wise. You believe friendship is magic."
"Tell me, Celestia. Are you still denying the crimes you have committed to this kingdom? Ignoring your sister's plea and banishing her to the moon? Allowing the Crystal Empire to suffer one thousand years of solitude from the world? Ignoring your student's warning, thus nearly handed Canterlot over to the Changelings? Sending a supposed reform criminal to apprehend one of Equestria's biggest threat? Sending an innocent young child to handle threats, despite that fact that Alicorns are suppose to be powerful?"
"It's a lie! It's a lie!", a voice screams from outside the throne room. Curious, Gold Star walks out an sees a magically drained unicorn guard breaking down. Apparently this guard highly praise the princesses and when he was a colt he always believe that they could protect the Kingdom from harm.
"I'm afraid it's true, my friend.", Gold Star said kneeling down to the unicorn. "You're just a victim to a pack of lies fed to you as a child. They say the princess can do anything and beat any opponent. Well then... where are they? Why haven't they done anything yet? The answer is simple, they're frauds."
The unicorn guard breaks down in tears upon hearing those words with Gold Star comforting him.
"Fear not, for hope is not lost. I am planning to expose the princesses to Equestria as the frauds they are.", Gold Star said. "They are no heroes! They are no saviors! They are just weak and lazy ponies who just sits on a throne with their big fat flanks letting others handle the problems they should've fixed."
"How are you going to do that?", the unicorn asks.
"A long time ago, Equestria once had a alicorn queen and during her reign the kingdom was known be a powerful empire, yet peaceful and just. During that era, the ponies were strong; they didn't rely on the so-called 'all powerful' alicorns or ponies wearing cheap jewelry as often as this era. For the Queen and Elements of Harmony were only used as a last resort and rarely have it ever happen. Look at us now, we've become soft and too dependent on those you believe to be powerful. It is time for Equestria to get out of the shadows of the weak rulers and return it's former days during the Age of Faust! And the one ruling that era is an alicorn that'll be as powerful as Faust!"
Gold Star then offers his hoof to the unicorn to join the cause and the unicorn accepts. Gold Star then receives a call from his orb.
"What is it?"
"We've spotted Princess Twilight and her friends heading for the Everfree Forest. They are most likely heading for the Tree of Harmony. Should we intercept?"
"No, and whatever is in that box is mostly likely something that'll help them defeat Tirek. Withdraw back to base in the Unknown. I'll meet you there soon.", Gold Star orders before hanging up. He then gives the map to the unicorn and a badge. "Head for this location and show them this badge."
Shining Armor struggles to get up when suddenly Gold Star stomps on his head. Behind him are two unconscious unicorn guards. Gold Star then looks at Tirek losing his powers and then gets sent back to Tartarus.
"Look at what she did.", Gold Star in anger, before turning to Shining Armor. "That's some sister you've got there. She's one hell of an alicorn, worthy of being queen. But that's not gonna happen. There ain't gonna be any alicorns, normal ones at least. We're gonna destroy them together."
Gold Star grabs Shining Armor's leg and starts dragging him away.
'Enjoy this victory, while you can. When the time comes, Equestria will enter a civil war.', Gold Star thought leaving the castle.
"Well this was a bust!", a Big Mac-size earth pony stallion said. "All that work and waiting wasted!"
"Don't be too sure!", a blue pegasus mare said. "We may have not defeated Tirek and declared heroes, but we do have more evidence on Celestia's failures and mistakes. These will surely bring more supporters to our cause."
"And besides we've taken the time to pick up some new recruits.", a red unicorn mare said.
Gold Star enters the base with an unconscious Shining Armor on his back.
"Is that...?"
"Yeah, Shining Armor, Captain of the Royal Guard and Prince of the Crystal Empire.", Gold Star said. "He'll also be my prototype for my Artificial Alicorn Project."
"If the project works, then those princess will no longer be the only alicorns in Equestria."
"Yes, once it succeeds.", Gold Star said entering his lab. "Then anypony will be an alicorn."
