Your Human and You: Adventures of the Griffon Girl
A Sense Of Normality
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI waited for the moment to come where I could truly close my eyes and relax. The past few hours had been hellish, me staying awake all night in the Flower's spare room that they had rented for the cruise. I had locked the door, and when there was a constant angry banging on the door and screaming to match, I panicked and made Rue and Fylakas stay covered in the bed. He had used his magic several times to open the door, but was stopped by the chain lock and magical barrier Medallion had set in place. He caught site of me, and I knew if he could get in, he no doubt would have gone in for the kill. He had given into the demonic force that attacked me. He was to far gone.
I thought the name. Alchys... It sent horror up my spine making me shiver. My blood turned to ice, and my skin became paper thin. Time seemed to freeze as I saw the oozing mass take form in front of me, an evil wicked smile appearing on it's bulbous melting flesh that was where it's head should have been. I cringed, blinking away the thought as a figment of my imagination. It had to be, my eyes were playing tricks on me. I wouldn't really be seeing this. Couldn't really be seeing it. began to pace, the stallion had left the door, probably to sulk and stalk outside until I was stupid enough to open the door. I wasn't though. My body became heavy as a feathery feeling draped itself over my shoulders. I struggled against it, chirps becoming audible to my own ears as I continued to try and pace. This earned a chuckle from the darkened figure, and I was soon lifted, making me yelp at the unexpected movements. It became clear this was Wench. I was set on the bed and had found myself drowning in covers and fur from Wench climbing onto the bed next to us. I could feel my mind drawing blanks and I resorted to a weak struggle. Fylakas and Rue were fine with their placements, but I was not. However, before I could struggle any longer, my arms found a particularly comfy spot under my head. I could no longer move. As my defiance drained, so did my consciousness, and I was left to sleep. I scoffed at myself in lucid sleep, having so easily been defeated by... a comforter.
The next day, I still found myself under a blanket snugged against a feathery surface that was Wench. I couldn't think completely right with my groggy mind as I struggled with the blanket for freedom. I tossed it off my body and groaned at the cold air, and looked down at Rue and Fylakas. They were still cuddled together just at the other end of Wench's little protective semi circle. I was horrified at how cute this scene must have been. It was practically giving me a cavity, this was horrible to think that I was a part of this. I hated being called cute. I hated being labeled as such. It was inconceivable!
I moved off the bed and eyed Medallion, who had- to my absolute horror -a camera. He had taken pictures before I awoke. He was sitting and sipping his tea, reading the papers that were on the table. I saw the pictures and gave a horrified gasp. This was so much worse than I could have ever anticipated. The pictures were the most adorable thing I had ever seen, and this was starting to get old quickly. I couldn't risk these getting out to the princess or even to Slasher. Not even Claw could know. Medallion seemed to pick up on my desperation and he gave me an evil teasing smile.
"Ohhh this is perfect." His muzzle twisted into an evilly playful grin. I winced back, pulling the pictures with me. I was chirping, and I hadn't even noticed. I don't even know what I was saying, but it was strange enough for Fylakas to cackle as soon as he awoke. This was becoming a strange morning, filled with ight hearted moments. I was becoming skeptical it would last. Everything was going to well. Everything was settling back into normalcy?
"We're back in Equestria now Baladia. I hope you're OK with walking on a leash until we can get off the boat. Fylakas too. Could you tell him?" Wench was stretching on the bed as she spoke, making me gasp in fright. I was amazed by the figure, unkempt and unpreened. It was rather humorous to see her crest involuntarily flex. She was probably the whole reason the pictures were so cute. I poked at my throat and nodded, signifying I was now only in the world of human speech.
"Fylakas. Fyyylaaakaaaaaas. Wake uuuup." I poked at his ribs and slowly up to his cheek. He grunted and curled up, making me smile as I poked his ribs. His eyes shot open and he pulled away, hissing slightly, as if I had done something to offend him. He glared at me and covered his ribs. I realized what I had done and my smile became wicked with my new found power. "Ohh... Oh that's precious~."
"Don't you even fucking try." He spat back with a hard glare of panic. I continued smiling like a predator, and I began to stock closer. He backed up again, hissing in warning until he was cornered against the wall. "If you even so much as try I'm going to-"
Soon, his words were cut off with intense laughter. I had to turn around to see the source was not from myself or Fylakas, but it was Medallion nudging Rue to wake up and move faster, and this triggered a whinnying snorting fit of laughter. I smiled sweetly at her. Her laughter was cute, even by being filtered through a veil of language. I turned back to my own prey... To find him prepared to attack.
I screeched with surprised laughter as the war began. Minutes of struggling to gain more laughter from the other was evident, and the others just watched in morbid curiosity. This was going to be extremely fun. After our war, we truced long enough for our leashes to be connected to our collars, and allowed our collars to be tightened very slightly so that they could not come off. Rue fumed slightly with amusement and confusion, and I knew why. She eyed me and Fylakas, and we eyed each other. My hissing and tounge insults were returned from Fylakas.
=Enough you two, behave yourselves!= Rue clicked aggressively, and our fun and games were cut short then and there, making both of us just back away. I glanced at the floor and Fylakas did the same, but it was hard for both of us not to continue to silently make faces at each other. This was going to be fun. A new wrestling partner who isn't Slasher dressed in a badly made zebra costume!
We made it off the boat, and the rest of the day was uneventful. It was now night and I was sitting sleepily on the windowsill. I fell asleep quickly after that, before dinner was even served.
Uneventful indeed.
