Your Human and You: Adventures of the Griffon Girl
Walk in the Park
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"I don't want to go!" I was straining against the leash, trying to get her to stop as she pulled.
"It'll be fun! I promise it will! Fylakas is going!" Wench was trying to drag me, but struggling as to not hurt me more than a few tugs. I was groaning as I tried to stay pulled back. My face flushed with a bit of anger, and i tried to kick at her.
"Come on! Wench, I don't want to go! I don't even like parks!" She groaned and continued pulling me.
"You're going! I don't care if you don't want to! It's called a Pet Play date for a reason!" She went behind me and pushed me, making me yelp as I was lifted off the ground. They had put a type of charm on my collar to make my English sound like chirping to those who didn't know my secret, so I could go outside and talk like normal. They did the same with Fylakas and Xander.
"I'm not a pet!" i whined as I was dumped into the back of a carriage and the door was closed behind me.
"You're right, but unless you want to be found out, you're going to have to behave like one!" Wench turned away and stormed off in a huff as Slasher curled up around me, surrounding me in warm fluff. it was better than the cold silk pajamas Claw had made me to wear for every occasion. I made a face, feeling my eyes squint a little. I grumbled as I tried to look at her.
"I hate your mom sometimes. She's usually right." I closed my eyes and grumbled to myself. She quickly gave a small nuzzle to my cheek.
"Yeah, but what can you do?" I hear the smile in her voice as she purred.
"Overly affectionate today are we?" I shifted strangely and raised an eyebrow as she giggled.
"You deserve it. I don't show it enough. And... I miss cuddling you sometimes, like when I was really little." She smiled as she laid down, smiling as she curled up around me.
"Good lord you never really grew up did you." I rubbed her feathers and she purred more, leaning into my touch. We took off into the distant as we started to ride, making me smile as she cuddled. Fylakas and Rue were flying in the front seat, quietly talking back and forth about plans they had about going to the royal palaces movie theater, and watching the newest horror that had come out, an old fashioned horror movie about an intelligent human being found in Griffondor, and being adopted by a family of griffons, and by the end, having to sacrifice themselves to save the family. Does that story sound even remotely familiar? I hope it does, because it's me. I really do think someone looked at me and decided, hey that sounds cool! And then made me into a movie. I mean seriously, be more original!
"Twilight's the one who invited us." Slasher looked at me and I gave an intense look of horror, showing I was fearful of meeting her and her human. Her friend's were scary, to be honest, and she was too. The idea that an Alicorn can exist, completely based off the fact that they are good at magic. It's impressive, because it means she has intensely magical abilities. I can't wait to practically die today. We landed, and I froze up in fear with a gulp.
"We're here. Let's go." She gently nudged me until I was almost out the door, and I stopped moving when I felt eyes on me. I stopped resisting and became passive, to maintain my reputation as well trained. I went as blank as possible, so that I could be as quiet as possible. It had been getting harder and harder to stay straight faced when Slasher and Rue had friends over, and that surprised me. I glanced at Fylakas, who seemed to be having no trouble keeping a straight face- even though he had Rue on his back for a piggy back ride. My face darkened with hesitation to follow after Slasher when I saw Twilight and her human, glancing back and forth to each other as they stamped and clapped.
"Fylakas, watch Twilight and her human." He stopped and looked at them as they stopped and looked at us, glancing back and forth between each other. Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Apple jack were playing with... A Toothless... Alligator... A flying tortoise... And a dog. My eyes went wide when i saw the dog, and I immediately tried to walk over to it, unclipping the leash and walking over to the two. They stopped what they were doing and looked at me in curiosity. I looked around and picked up a stick, looking at it. I glanced back at the dog and waved it a little. Apple Jack looked at me with her eyes narrowing, and she stepped forwards, to warn me not to try what she thought I was going to do.
"Fylakas- let's play catch. They obviously aren't going to want to let us play." He walked over cautiously, and I held it up, and threw the stick. He bolted off after and caught it in the air, and ran it back, and we continued back and forth, having trouble keeping our faces straight. Pinkie bounced up to me smiling freakishly large as usual, and I got a sinking feeling in my stomach. Fylakas stopped throwing the stick and looked at me.
"Uh... Hi?" I pat her mane and picked her up. Her mane felt like how stuffed animal stuffing felt. It was buoyant, able to retain it's springy nature, even after it's been flattened by a hand. Even if it took a moment, considering I left a hand print in her mane. She purred like a cat and I rolled my eyes.
"Fylakas she's just like a fucking cat come look at this." He walked over and held back a laugh.
"He's like you when someone scratches your head." He scratched behind Pinkie's ears as I pat her mane.
"I do not purr you, asshole!" It took everything I had not to smile at him, but instead I scoffed, standing up and putting her down.
"Oh you think you're tough?" He got into the playful mock aggressive stance we read about in the human behavior books so that we could copy what was listed and act more like normal humans.
"You think I can't take you? I can beat up a griffon!" I copied and Pinkie backed away, looking a little worried. So did everyone there.
"Prove it!" He got a little lower.
"That's it!" I tackled him and we rolled around on the ground, battling and kicking up dirt as we playfully punched at each other. I was able to pin him for a few moments, but I was over thrown quickly, almost as soon as I had him down. He pinned me and I couldn't get back up. He held my hands down above my head, and off to the side a little, and I stared up at him. He looked into my eyes, and I looked into his. We were close.
Extremely close... I was about to lean up, and steal what I assumed was coming, but as soon as I twitched to, he leaned up and covered his face, his face burning red as I looked up at him in a daze. I looked away and sat up, pulling away from him as I sat holding my knees to my chest while covering my face. Does he... Does he not like me? Oh god, now was not the time for me to be having a moment like this! Not when I'm trying to be like a normal human from this world!
"I- uh... I'm going to... Going to go sit next to Twilight and see if I can't pick up on some communication." I looked at him, and he nodded, not taking his hand from his face. His face was burning, I could tell. I turned away and quickly walked, holding my hand to cover my face from the side, so they couldn't see how flustered I was as I walked by. I looked away and huffed a little as I sat down next to twilight, looking at her and her human. They stared directly at me. I approached him and stared, watching for a moment.
I put my hand on his face and pushed open his upper lip, looking at his teeth. I had read that Equestrian Humans teeth are flatter than ours, due to them mostly only eating vegetation because of what they are fed. I stared at him and what I found. I shook a little and my heart beat. I saw a sharp canine tooth. I moved his hand to his mouth, and put his index on his canine tooth, and moved my upper lip up, and put my same finger on my canine tooth, to show him that I knew where he was from. He just stayed in shock.
He pointed to me, and his eyes went wide. I held my thumb up and then pointed to Fylakas, who was playing with Xander off in the corner by him trying to teach him to speak in beak language. He had been having a little difficulty, making it hard to keep him understanding why we need to not smile. Why we need to be careful.
"Um... Hello there..." Twilight caught my attention and stamped her hooves weirdly, and I backed away a little. "N-no-! Don't go!" Her ears laid back and she levitated me a crayon and a piece of paper. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you! Just... Draw. Copy?" She levitated another crayon and drew a stick figure on the paper. I took the crayon from the air and glanced at me. I took a breath and drew a solar system, with an arrow pointing to earth, and a McDonald's M in the middle, to be an indicator. He let out a scoff and pointed, his eyes wide. I nodded and he looked at me, then clapped to Twilight, who gasped out and her wings fluttered out a bit
I backed away and stopped for a moment, and drew a picture of the moon above a clock pointing to six PM, and two human stick figures shaking hands. I stood back up, and he glanced at it and nodded, and clapped it to Twilight, and she nodded for a I turned back to Fylakas, who was playing with Xander instead of teaching him beak language. He froze when he saw my stare, and blushed again.
The day ended, and both Rue and Slasher were in the back seat, silently staring at their human respectively, with Xander sleeping between the two, using Slashers wing as a blanket. I was just kind of... Not talking. So was he.
"So... That wrestling match hu-"
"NO!" We both cut Slasher off before she could finish, and her crest fluffed in shock, and Rue was trying not to laugh.
We have a long carriage ride ahead.
