My Brave Pony Starfleet Magic The New Member: Season 2

One dusk afternoon, Jewel and helping Fluttershy and Rhymey clean all the animals at Fluttershy's cottage. They gathered them up, washed them down and even cleaned their teeth. When they were done, the three ponies had mud in their manes and on their bodies.

"Phew. Thanks for helping us get them all nice and clean, Jewel." Fluttershy praised.

"No problem. Happy to help." Jewel replied.

"I bet you can't wait to get back to the castle to take your own bath, huh?" Fluttershy asked. When Fluttershy said the word 'castle', Jewel acted a bit nervously.

"Aren't there more animals who need cleaning?" She asked.

"I think we're the only ones left. And I can't wait to the mud out my mane."

"Yes. I want to take a bath too,
Did you prepare the castle ready for the big pancake breakfast, Jewel?" Rhymey asked.

Hearing this made Jewel think of an idea.

"No, the castle's fine.... but I'll go see if Pinkie needs help with the pancakes." Jewel spread her wings and took off to New Sugarcube Corner.

"Did you notice how nervous Jewel suddenly acted when I said 'castle'?" Fluttershy asked.

"Yes. It is true,
Jewel behavour was suddenly new." Rhymey replied.

The next morning, the mane five, along with Lightning and his friends were at Jewel's castle eating their pancakes.

"These are delicious, Pinkie Pie." Applejack complimented

"Thanks! Jewel spent all night helping me pick the flavor! I kept thinking we'd found the right one, but she insisted I make even more to try. And more. And more and more and more and more! It was like she never wanted to—" Pinkie started

"Leave?" Fluttershy finished.

"Exactly! Eventually we ran out of time so we just went with every-berry-any-chip-surprise!"

"Up all night huh? Is that shes so I'm out of it?" Rainbow asked pointing at Jewel who was snoring at the table. Jewel's mane, which looked like it hasn't been brushed in a couple days, had twings, dirt and leaves in it. Her body had dust and a few scratches and Jewel looked completely exhausted.

"Um I don't mean to sound unappreciative, but has anybody else notice Jewel being a little too helpful lately?" Fluttershy asked the group.

"Now that you mention it, she was lendin' a hoof at Sweet Apple Acres the other day and stuck around 'til near midnight. Dug up fifty tree-plantin' holes when all I needed was ten." Applejack explained.

Rarity added, "She spent an entire afternoon rearranging a single gem drawer at the boutique. An entire afternoon!"

"You think that's weird? She raced me, like, a hundred times the other day. And lost every time! She just kept goin'! Best out of ten, best out of twenty, best out of a hundred!" Rainbow added.

Even Lightning and the gang notice Jewel's behavior: Jewel spent the entire night, looking iver Lightning documents even though he said they were fine. Starla said Jewel spent two days looking in her telescope looking at the stars. Dyno and Myte said Jewel wanted to keep digging for gems even though they collected about one hundred. She said that 'it can't hurt to look for more.

"Why is Jewel doing all of this?" Buddy asked.

"Somethin' tells me she's avoidin' something." Applejack stated, "and when she wakes up we're gonna find out what."

Pinkie suddenly appeared next to Jewel and yelled into her ears, "WAKE UP, JEWEL!" Jewel woke up with a shock.

"Huh!? I'm pancake...I mean awake." She said.

"Pinkie Pie! Why would you scream in her ear like that?"! Rarity asked.

"Duh, to wake her up like you all wanted." Pinkie replied.

"Uh, Jewel is there something you wanna tell us?" Lightning asked.

Rarity came to her side, "You know how we appreciate all you do for us. And we simply adore having you around, but we worry you might be *Ahem* avoiding something else." Rarity said.

"Oh, has it been that obvious?" Jewel asked. All her friends nodded.

"I've been.... the thing is. I know it's silly but I.... I've been avoiding this place." Jewel said, referring to the castle. Rarity gasped in shock.

"Why in United Equestria would you want to avoid such a gorgeous castle?" She asked.

Pinkie suddenly came beside Jewel, "Yeah, this place has everything! Big tall ceilings that make you feel tiny! Shiny new floors that are cold to the touch! Brrr! And it even has loooong empty hallways!"

"The castle is amazing but it just.....*sigh* it doesn't feel like home." Jewel replied.

Rarity laughed and talked at the same time, "Oh, is that all, why you simply need to decorate darling, make this place your own."

"It's just so daunting. Look how big it is. I don't even know where to start!" Jewel said placing her head on the table. Rarity quickly moved the plate away from Jewel so she didn't get panckae in her face again.

"You can start by letting us do it for you." Rarity offered, Jewel lifted her head. "We will make this the castle of your dreams while you and Starla go to the New Ponyvill Spa for some much needed rest and relaxation."

"Now Jewel, I'm sayibg this with love, but have you looked in the mirror lately?" Lightning asked, lifting a mirror to Jewel's face, "Ive never seen you look this...ummmm-"

"Frazzled?" Fluttershy answered.

"Yes. Frazzled." Lightning said.

"Well, I guess I could use a little help. And so does my castle and I just know you'll do a great job because nobody knows me better than you guys." Jewel said.

"We'll make this place cover than hot cider on a rainy day." Applejack said.

"Come in Jewel, to the spa!" Starla said. Starla led Jewel out of the dining room and the castle.

"Come y'all, we've got work to do." Applejack said.

After the song, two hours passed and the throne room was filled with confetti, balloons, curtains even animals. Then Starla walked in,

"Hey guys, how's everything go- GALLOPING GALAXIES...!!!"

"Oh, Starla! Are you and Jewel done already?" Lightning asked.

"Nope. I got her the super mane blowout. She'll be a while. Man this place looks terrible."

Everybody gave a sigh of relied, "Thank goodness somepony said something!" Fluttershy said.

"It's pretty bad, right?" Rainviw asked.

"This place looks like a mishmash of knickknacks." Applejack added.

"Hmm, I suppose it is a little cluttered." Rairty added.

"What're we gonna do?!" Lightning cried.

"I dunno. But Jewel's blow-out won't take that long. If she was avoiding the castle before, she'll never set hoof in here now!" Starla stated.

"Come on, guys, we've gotta do something! Jewel's counting on us!" Rainbow said.

"Starla, you've got to get back to that spa and stall her! Whatever you do, don't let her come home!" Buddy said.

"Like, forever? But she lives here." Starla asked.

"Uh, yes, well, uh, maybe you could manage it 'til... sunset-ish?" Lightning asked.

"Okay. I'll do my best." Starla said and exited the castle.

Starla made it back to the spa and found Jewel in the hot tub relaxing. "Hey Jewel, how are you feeling?"

"*Sigh* much better. Thanks Starla. So how's the castle look?" Jewel said.

"Ummm... good so far. How about we get some massages?" Starla asked.

"Great!" Jewel said.

"Did somebody order massages?" Aloe, one of the spa ponies asked.

"Yes. Two traditional massages. Please?" Starla asked.

"Right. Come this way, princess and Colonel." Aloe said. Jewel and Starla walked into the massage room.

Back at the castle, thw friends removed everything from thw throne room and were now thinking about what else they could put in the throne room.

"Got anything?" Artie asked. All the ponies shook their heads.

"Umm...I don't want to the bribger of more bad news, but it's almost sundown! If we don't come up with something soon, it'll look like we didn't lift a finger to help her!" Rarity said.

"Why is this so hard for us?" Rainbow asked.

"Maybe because we're just making ourselves feel at home instead of Jewel." Dyno suggested.

"I think your right." Myte agreed.

"But what did Jewel like living in Lightning and Starla's house and sometimes the palace?" Buddy asked.

"Books and memories. She loved reading books and she loved spending time with us." Pinkie said.

This gave Applejack an idea.

"I've got it!" She cried.

"What?" The pobies asked.

"No time to explain. Rarity got get some diamond ornaments. The rest of you come with me." She ordered. The confused ponies obeyed her command.

At sunset, Starla and Jewel came back to the castle. "We're home!" Starla called. The ponies came to greet them.

"WELCOME HOME!"

Jewel looked at the castle and didn't see anything different.

"I...uh...love What you all done with the place." she said.

"Jewel. Decorating your castle took longer than we thought." Artie started.

"What do you mean?" Jewel asked.

"We learned what makes a home feel like home isn't the atuff thats in it. Its thw memories you make when your there." Dyno said.

"So we made something that shows the memories we've made with you since you came to United Equestria." Myte added.

The ponies led Jrwel to the throne room where a giant chandelier hung from the ceiling with different colored dimonad ornaments.

"The ornaments of the chandelier ate twists of all the fun we've had together." Fluttershy said.

"That one shows you saving us from Sombra and Chrysalis and joining Starfleet."

"The time you spent with us on your first Hearth's Warming Eve." Rairty said.

"We thought looking at your beautiful old memories would inspire you to make new one's." Rarity said. Jewel turned towards her friends with tears on her eyes. “It’s exacty what the castle needed.”

The friends joins together in a group hug. “And I am ready to make new memories here.” Jewel added.

“Great! So about a new meme pry cake to start?” Pinkie asked. She dashed off and came back with a cake in her hands. “Let’s eat!” The friends chuckled as they all went it the dining room and ate the cake.

In our next episode; Jewel gets a cute surprise when she finds a small spheal in the grass. She takes it home ad her friends immediately dislike the little thing.
