An alarm clock buzzed noisily, waking up a sleeping Tiffany. She felt around her night stand and knocked over her clock. Tiffany stretched her arm out to grab the still buzzing clock. She groaned and let her arm fall. A few minutes later, Tiffany got out of bed and got dressed into her new uniform. Then she brushed her black hair until her fringe was dead straight.

Tiffany ran down the stairs and packed her bag. "Tiffany, don't forgot to eat. You can't think on an empty stomach," her mother reminded her.

"Thanks Mom. You're the best," Tiffany complemented, digging into her pancakes. "And this pancakes are awesome."

"You're in a good mood. Are you excited for the first day of school? New year. New school. New friends."

Tiffany looked at the clock and it was half past seven. "Oh no, I'm late! Gotta go! Bye Mom!" Tiffany grabbed her bag and ran out the door.

Tiffany ran inside the school and stopped for a breather. She had just regained her posture when she heard someone yell, "Hi!" Tiffany jumped in fright and the girl laughed. "Sorry I scared you. I just wanted to say 'Hi' because you're new and all."

The girl had poofy ginger hair and bright blue eyes. She was a bit taller than Tiffany. "Wait, how do you know I'm new here?" Tiffany asked.

"Oh, well, I've never seen you here before and I don't know you and I know everyone in the school. My name's Piper, what's your name?"

Tiffany stuck out her hand. "I'm Tiffany Savage." Piper shook her hand vigorously and Tiffany was vibrating.

"Nice to meet you, Tiffany! I can't wait to be best friends! Oh, I have a great idea! How about I through a party for you this weekend?!" Piper suggested.

"Well, I'm not exactly the loud kind. I'm more of a quiet place type," Tiffany admitted.

"That's silly! What kind of party would it be if there was silence?! A boring party, that is! With a party like this, I'll assure you'll have lots of friends, so you won't have to be a sad, lonely girl! But instead a happy one! With lots of friends!"

Man, this girl talks a lot. It's kinda funny!

Then a tall girl with boyish blonde hair dyed purple at the end, shoved past Tiffany and she dropped her bag and her books fell out. "Out of the way, dweeb," the girl hissed.

Piper helped Tiffany pick up her books. "Sorry about her. Georgia is a real meany pants," Piper stated and then she started rambling on about other things which annoyed Tiffany.

Suddenly, a girl came running towards Tiffany, put her hands on Tiffany's back, jumped over her, did a front roll and kept on running. Tiffany looked up and saw the small girl with black messy hair. "Thanks for the boost!" she laughed.

"Who was that?" Tiffany groaned.

"Oh, that's Rebecka. She's always in a hurry somewhere," Piper giggled. The bell rang and all the students rushed to their classes. "Well, class starts now. Do you now where to go?"

"I'm good thanks," Tiffany started running down the corridor.

"See you later!" Piper called out and Tiffany really hoped she would. It would be nice to have at least one friend.

Tiffany burst into the classroom and all eyes were on her. "S-sorry I'm late. I got lost." Although she did say she did, Tiffany wasn't quite sure were her classroom was. She regretted not asking Piper for directions.

"Please have a seat Ms. Savage and next time, try to be on time," the teacher returned to the whiteboard and Tiffany looked around. One table was left, without anyone sitting there.

Tiffany quietly sat down at the empty table and listened to the teacher. Suddenly, another girl ran through the door. She had blonde hair tied up at the end curlwith green eyes. She was taller then Tiffany and she wore a cowboy hat.

"Ms. Jackson, nice of you to join us. And what excuse do you have this time?" the teacher questioned.

"Well, Ah was in a fight but it's over and done with now," the girl answered. Tiffany was surprised the girl said that. If it was true, why was she being so honest? She could get in trouble.

After a conversation with the teacher, the girl sat down beside Tiffany and began her work. Tiffany was very smart so she finished quickly and had nothing to do. The girl beside her had finished a few minutes later and turned to her.

"Wow, ya must be very smart to finish Ms. Cinch's work early," she whispered and Tiffany blushed. "Ah'm Abbey Jackson by the way."

"Tiffany Savage. Nice to meet you." The two were talking throughout the lesson, mostly Abbey was telling Tiffany about the farm. When the bell rang, Abbey stood up and was about to leave when she turned around.

"See ya 'round, partner."

"Goodbye."

Tiffany looked around the cafeteria, at all the cliques. The athletes, the popular kids, the nerds all at different tables. In the end, Tiffany decided to just sit alone and read a book. She was reading away when she noticed someone stopped beside her.

The girl placed her tray on the table and looked at the book. "Whatcha reading there, nerd?" the girl snarled, snatching the book from Tiffany.

"Hey, give that back!" Tiffany demanded, lunging at the girl. The girl had blonde, almost white hair and blue eyes.

"Oh, sure I'll give it back," the girl teased but then she threw the book into the soup on her tray. "Whoops, clumsy me. Here, you can have it back." The girl handed the wet book to Tiffany.

Then the girl spilt her tray on Tiffany. "Welcome to Ponyville High, loser," the girl cackled and she walked away. Tiffany was trying to clean her clothes when a girl came over to her. She was a curly brunette with sapphire eyes. She was a bit smaller then Tiffany and she was wearing blue eye shadow.

"Oh, you poor thing! I can't believe Tara would do something like that. Come with me," the girl instructed and she dragged Tiffany by the wrist.

"Where are you taking me?"

"To my locker." The girl opened a locker and took out a spare uniform. "Here, you can't go around in those clothes."

"Wow, thanks." Tiffany was surprised the girl had a spare clothes and that she was giving them to her. Tiffany got dressed in the bathroom and walked back with the girl. "I'm Tiffany Savage."

"Renee Byrne." Tiffany sat back down at the empty table and Renee went over to the popular kids' table.

Huh, I wonder why a popular girl would help me for no reason. I guess you can't judge a book by it's cover.

Tiffany's next class was art. In art they had to paint sunflowers. Tiffany wasn't the best at art and her painting was average. She looked at the girl beside her's painting which was a masterpiece. Her painting was a bunch of flowers in a vase with butterflies flying around it.

"Wow, your picture is really good."

"Um, thanks." The girl had long, wavy, light brown hair which was covering one teal eye. She was around the same height as Tiffany, only a tiny bit taller.

"I'm Tiffany. What's your name?"

"Um, m-my name's F-faith."

"Um, sorry what was that?"

"F-faith."

"Didn't quite catch that."

"Faith," she squeaked.

"Pleased to meet you, Faith."

After that, Faith helped Tiffany with the painting and Tiffany helped Faith with the learning. Faith opened up a bit more to Tiffany and soon they were working together as friends.

"Um, Tiffany? Thank you for helping me.

"It's no problem. Friend?"

"Friend."

Tiffany walked out of the changing room, not happy about what was ahead. An obstacle coarse. Tiffany really hated gym. She wasn't the sporty type. "OK, everybody. Five laps of the pitch," the coach ordered and he blew his whistle.

Tiffany was barely keeping up when she noticed the girl from earlier, the one that jumped over her, wasn't having any trouble. She was ahead of the others and she finished first when everyone was done, the coach blew his whistle.

"OK, you'll be completing the coarse in pairs," he called out a list of names and Tiffany's was last. "And finally, Tiffany and Rebecka.

Tiffany walked over to Rebecka and introduced herself. "Hi, I'm Tiffany. You must be Rebecka."

"The one and only," Rebecka replied. Rebecka had messy black hair tied into a high ponytail and she had green eyes. She was smaller than Tiffany and she wore a cap.

They did some stretches which Tiffany found really hard and Rebecka made them look easy. The pairs lined up at the starting line. "Hey, sorry if I mess up, I'll probably be dragging you down."

Rebecka smiled. "What are you talking about? You need to be more confident in yourself. And we're a team, we win together or we lose together."

"Hey, dweeb," the bully Tiffany saw earlier, Georgia yelled at Rebecka. "You're going down, pip squeak!"

"I'm not small, I'm aerodynamic," Rebecka stated confidently.

The coach blew the whistle and they were off. The first obstacle was a seven foot wall. Rebecka ran towards it, jumped up on top of the wall and help Tiffany up with her hand.

Next was the tire pull. There were tires with two pieces of rope tied around them and the two partners had to pull a tire across the pitch without rolling it. The two did OK on that coarse but others passed them out.

Then it was the monkey bars. They had to climb across the monkey bars without touching the ground. Tiffany and Rebecka caught up with most people on this and were in 5th place.

The final obstacle was a fourteen foot curved wall. Loads of people people were running up but none prevailed. Rebecka had a few goes but she got up and was trying to help Tiffany. She held her hand out that Tiffany could grab.

Tiffany ran up the wall and grabbed onto Rebecka's hand as she pulled her up. The coach blew the whistle and everyone stopped and rested. "See? I told you, you need more confidence in yourself," Rebecka nudged Tiffany.

Tiffany was walking home from school and see didn't notice the girl watching her. "So, she is the mighty Lion Guardian? This will be easier than I thought," the girl laughed. She had black hair and wore a lot of onyx jewellery, even a crown. Her eyes were glowing red and were bat like."Soon, everyone in Equestria will bow down to me and I will have revenge on sister. Eternal night will rein and I will be the most powerful being in the universe!"
