Halo wars: Equestria

Luna pov:

We looked around as the Caribou we had been running from for the past few days slowly stepped up to us laughing at us due to us being trapped in a dead end valley we ran into as they moved to block anyway to get past them to run again.

"Give up you sluts. There's no way out aside from becoming slaves again and getting punishment for trying to leave your masters." The leader of the group said as they stepped closer to us.

'Please somepony help us.' We thought hoping something will happen. A Few minutes later as we were just about give up hope when we hear a roaring sound that was getting louder as the seconds when by. We and the Caribou looked around when two flying creatures of metal appeared from the skies and flew above us a few feet away in between us and the Caribou. Smaller metal creatures that looked like ponies with a few differences fell out of them and stood in front of us as they hold black-gray items in their arms that barely look like muskets and pointed one end of them at the Caribou.

'Are those things here to help us?' We thought with hope growing in our chest as a voice came out of one of the flying metal creatures.

A few minutes earlier...
UNSC base Charlie

Forge watched as the ponies were trapped in a valley they ran into. Now he had a better view of the group he counted 37 ponies in the group. He saw the Caribou were walking up to the ponies as they spoke to demoralized them to capture and enslave them when the pelicans arrived a few minutes later and flew in front of the ponies. The marine units jumped put of the Pelicans and aimed at the Caribou.

"Caribou forces leave now. This will be your only chance." The unit flying the left Pelican ordered them.

The Caribou just laugh and mock him and the other units as I shook my head at them for being so full of themselves . 'Morons.' He thought as the Marine units and Pelicans fired their weapons a minute later. The Caribou were caught off guard and most of them were cut down like grass. A few of them tried to run but were picked off as the rest tried to get close with their swords and spears or aim muskets but were unable to and soon none of them were left. The Pelicans landed as the Abacross appeared a couple of minutes later and landed as well. The corpsmen moved the to the infirmary bringing the Ponies with them to have them checked on as one of the marines asked for and spoke to the leader who I learned was Princess Luna when it sent a notice to me a second later. The Ponies were loaded on the Abacross drop ship and the three drop ships made their way back to base as the drone moved on.

A few minutes later had Forge waited on the air pad with a squad of ODSTs and a few additional corpsmen with him as he saw the drop ships coming in for landing. He walked up to the Abacross as the ramp came down and the corpsmen moved to the med building.

"Are you Princess Luna?" He spoke as he walked up to her.

"Yes. How do you know us?" She asked me. "I'll explain later. Come with me, Your people will be fine and you can check on them later after you are done." He told her. She followed him as the two entered the command building. We enter the CIC and sat down.

"I'm Captain Forge of the UNSC. It is a pleasure to meet you. And as how I know of you the marine you spoke to told me as he spoke to you" Forge told her with a nod.

"We are Princess Luna and we thank you for helping us." She told him.

"You are welcome." He replied to her.

"Who and what are you?" She asked him.

"My people call ourselves humans." He said to her and told her about humanity, what the units are, and of the Human Covenant War deciding to tell the truth of himself later.

"The ship I was on which you may had seen on the mountain behind the base was fleeing from a Covenant fleet when we did a random Slipspace Jump to throw them off our tail. I have no idea what happened afterwards and the ships logs are damaged from the jump so I have no way of knowing what happened after we jumped. I also don't know if my people had won or I'm the last of my people for who knows how long it has been since due to Slipspace being unpredictable when you don't jump correctly." He told Luna.

"We see. We are sorry for what happened to your people and hope they have won." Luna told me. She thought about something for a bit and was about to speak when Forge spoke to her guessing what she was about to say.

"If you are going to ask me to help fight the Caribou then yes I will. When I learned about what is happening from the drones I sent I decided to fight the Caribou. My people had outlawed Slavery centuries ago and anyone found doing so are punished harshly for doing so." Forge told her. Luna thanked him and the two left the CIC to the infirmary. They enter the infirmary and Luna checked on her people as Forge spoke to one of the corpsmen.

"How are they?" Forge asked him.

"They are fine and none of the Ponies were wounded seriously." The corpsman told him.

"Good. If they are healed with no risk of the injures reopening take them to the Barracks we have set up for them." Forge ordered.

"Yes sir." Forge told Luna of the Barracks he set up for them after he learned of what was going on.

"You have our thanks again for healing our people." She told him. He nodded and then left to return to the CIC.

2 weeks later...

Forge has been getting things ready to start free Equestria from the hands of the Caribou. He built up his forces and is now ready to begin the war. He sent 4 groups of 4 Pelicans and a Abacross at dusk to four different slaver caravans to free slaves from them as they are setting up camp for the night in the badlands as Sand storms are building up.

'War, war never changes only the reasons why and the means to wage it.' Forge thought to himself as He watched the drop ships fly to their targets. Each Pelican carried three squads each while the Abacrosses have two squads to keep hostiles out of the Abacross and 25 corpsmen to help the wounded if there is any. It took ten minutes for the first group to land near the caravan they are to attack. The snipers took out the guards as the rest of the squads got close to the camp. Most of the Caribou were asleep while a few were about to have their way with the slaves. In 25 minutes all of the Caribou were killed and the pelicans and abacross landed around the camp as the marines freed the slaves, removing the collars and helped those who couldn't move to the abacross where the corpsmen treated their wounds. In all 45 slaves were freed from the Caribou at this camp.

The Night went on as the other three camps were attacked and the slaves freed from the Caribou with only one marine unit 'killed' by a Caribou as it protected a filly from harm. The remains were brought back to keep the Caribou from getting anything useful from it and make things harder for the UNSC to put a end to them. In all counting those freed from the first camp 187 ponies were freed from the Caribou, all of them mares. A low number but to Forge, it was only the beginning for you have to start small or get crushed by your enemy trying to rush things. 'Well I never thought I would end up doing something like this but hell if I'm going to let things stay as they are.' He thought as the first group of units he sent returned and the corpsmen on the air pad moved to help move the wounded to the infirmary.

Luna Pov:

We watched as the groups Forge sent out returned with freed slaves and they were taken to the infirmary to heal their wounds and be checked up on for anything that may be harmful to them.

'Not more than 200 but still, better some than none. Forge did say he would start small to help weaken Dainn's forces slowly and with the removal of the caravans and their 'cargo' their economy will slowly crumble apart as more slaves and any items that are taken from the caravans. If there is one thing to say about him is he knows how to plan ahead and weaken the enemy.' We thought to ourselves as we enter the infirmary. The sight of us being free brought some cheers from the ponies and the story of our group being saved made them more trusting of Forge's machines. We headed to the barracks we choose to rest and and entered our room before going to sleep.
