Captured Heart

Rarity was having her breakfast in Canterlot as she had decided that having it at her place was getting repetitive, she knew that it was quite silly just to get out of bed and go somewhere else to have breakfast but she didn't mind plus it gave her something to do and it was good exercise.

While Rarity was eating her breakfast and enjoying some tea she saw a mare using her magic to carry some books on her own, as she walked while carrying her books in her magic she tripped and fell over. A few ponies laughed at her. The unicorn tried to use her magic to stack her books back up but got confused.

Rarity looked the mare over, she had never seen this particular unicorn before, she had glasses on and had a brown mane, Rarity watched the mare struggle as some ponies chuckled at her clumsiness. Rarity wondered if she should help her as nopony else was helping her.

Rarity decided to get up and help the mare, she used her magic to stack up her books for her and help the mare stand up on her hooves, she got the mares glasses and gave them to her. The mare used her magic to put them on her face.

"Thank you. I truly appreciate you helping me out there, I have to watch where I am walking. Your Twilight's friend right? I've heard so much about her, she is amazing." The mare said.

"Your welcome darling. Yes my names Rarity. I work at Carousal Boutique and I'm the friend of Princess Twilight. I take it that you love to read! Here I will help stack up the books for you, Rarity said, she stacked up the books. Rarity helped the mare stand up and gave the books to the mare.

"My name is Meadow, I'm a university student at Manehattan, Yes I do love to read about...well anything I guess. I get teased for it but I'm alright, thanks for your help. Princess Twilight Sparkle is like my idol." Meadow said.

"She's everypony's idol. Everypony loves her. I work with her a lot. I never let her down. I'll tell her about how you were talking about her, she will appreciate you liking her." Rarity said.

"Well thanks for helping Rarity...I guess I'll be on my way....I wish I had a friend like how your friends are....maybe we will meet eachother again...goodbye Rarity." Meadow said to Rarity, Rarity smiled as she waved her goodbye.

"Goodbye Meadow." Rarity said as Meadow walked away, as Rarity watched Meadow walk away her urge to call out to Meadow grew, what if she never saw Meadow ever again. Should she stop Meadow so they can exchange contact information. She decided to stop Meadow.

"Meadow!" Rarity called out in a frantic manner, Meadow stopped and turned around to face Rarity again. Meadow smiled.

"Yes Rarity? What's the matter?" Meadow asked, Rarity looked at the hooves as she rubbed them together in hesitation she looked at Meadow as Meadow patiently waited for her to speak.

"If it's okay with you we could....have dinner sometime...if that's alright...I'm not doing anything, would that be okay? Would you like to come to my place tonight. I just met you and it seems weird to invite you but I want...to talk to you more!" Rarity said as she feared that she sounded like weirdo for inviting her.

"Sure we can here I'll give you my mailing address so we can keep in touch." She said, she handed Rarity her mailing address and said goodbye to her and left. As Rarity went back to her place she smiled to herself as she got Meadows Mailing address. She went inside Carousel Boutique and sighed happily to herself.

"Ahhhh Meadow....." Rarity sighed, Her little sister walked up to her without being noticed by her as she heard Rarity speak to herself.

"Who in Equestria is Meadow?" A teenaged Sweetie Belle asked Rarity, Rarity snapped out of it as she tumbled backwards and almost fell down.

"Sweetie Belle?! I thought you were in school! Get your butt to class!" Rarity as she was shocked, Sweetie Belle spoke.

"School is cancelled though....I thought you knew since you were out in town...what were you doing in town anyway? And who is this Meadow pony?" Sweetie Belle asked. Rarity rolled her eyes as she was agitated by Sweetie Belle asking about stuff she didn't need to know.

"None of your business Sweetie Belle just somepony I met! And besides why is school cancelled!? It's not a holiday!" Rarity exclaimed. Sweetie Belle shrugged.

"Several ponies got sick in school so they had to send everypony home, my teacher came here but you never answered your door because you were out somewhere." Sweetie Belle explained. Sweetie Belle shook her head and went up the stairs and went into her room to relax.

"Finally!" Rarity muttered under her breath she went to her own room and sat on her bed. She decided to write a letter to Meadow to pass the time, she sent the letter and then worked on several dresses for some of her clients. After she worked on her dresses she had dinner and then made dinner for Sweetie Belle then went back to her room.

She couldn't sit still as she paced around her room while thinking about Meadow, that's all she could think about. That mare was so interesting she wanted to see her more, she wanted to know more about Meadow. She couldn't wait to see Meadow again

The next day Rarity got up and sent Sweetie Belle to school and when Rarity checked her mail she saw that Meadow didn't write back yet, she waited all day for Meadow to write back, she didn't want Sweetie Belle to grab the mail as she might accidentally misplace the letter.

She waited for a few hours and checked the mailbox again and saw that Meadow had written back saying she wanted to meet her at Ponyville park so she walked to the park and when she got to the park she saw the new mare that she met. She approached her and sat by her.

"Hi Meadow!" Rarity said dreamily, Rarity wondered if Meadow knew what her true feelings were as she acted enamored around Meadow and as the way Meadow looked at her it was like Meadow had an idea already but the problem was was that she had no idea why Meadow had randomly told her to meet her like there was something important she needed to tell her even if they only met one day ago.

"I'm glad you could come here Rarity I needed to talk to you about something...if I didn't need to talk to you about something important then I wouldn't have told you to come here but I do have some stuff to say...you are intriguing." Meadow said. Rarity blushed.

"I...am? Thank you Meadow? Although I don't know why you told me to come here just so you can tell me that unless you have so wing more to say." Rarity said.

"Yes you are, I've met a lot of mares and I've never met someone quite...like you..." Meadow said. Rarity wondered what Meadow meant by that, she was trying to get at what Meadow was trying to say.

"I want to have....coffee with you. There is so much more I want to talk to you about, when I first met you I was like...wow...so when your not busy tomorrow will you have coffee with me? You can meet me at Sugarcube Corner. Meadow asked. Rarity blushed.

"Of coarse I would! Thanks Meadow!" Rarity exclaimed, Meadow grinned she could tell that Rarity liked her a lot more then she would like to admit. Meadow told Rarity the time to be there and left and Rarity went home sighing as she thought about Meadow. Rarity told Sweetie Belle that she might not be home when Sweetie Belle came home from school tomorrow as she would be with Meadow. Sweetie Belle understood and said that she would be okay on her own as she waited for her to come home.

Rarity made sure to set her alarm for tomorrow so she could be on time to meet with Meadow. She couldn't wait to see Meadow again.
