You Would Fight For Us, Would You?

It had been 6 months since the Tournament of Power ended.

Things were never the same for Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy.

In fact, they had separated. Fluttershy was living with what was left and Rainbow Dash left without a word. She just left everything, even her clothes.

They were both heartbroken, and they could never fix it. Well, Rainbow Dash wouldn't try.

Rainbow Dash actually got a job and lived in an apartment.

Doesn't it seem like they got over it?

No. It never happened. They wanted to make up, but they just couldn't fess up.

They had the fears they used to have. 'Am I obsessed with her?' They thought.

Rainbow Dash could barely sleep at night because of it, and Fluttershy couldn't help but always try to find Rainbow Dash somewhere in the world.

It was an average day.

Rainbow Dash didn't sleep at all. She got out of bed to just find Fluttershy's ring on her table.

Rainbow Dash just went to work. She left her apartment complex in East City.

Rainbow Dash had a suit to wear everyday.

Now, Fluttershy didn't necessarily have a job. She worked at an animal shelter, but the pay was small. It was fine, Fluttershy didn't eat much other than salad.

Fluttershy hadn't given up on training. She still practiced attacks and other things. She woke up, got ready and went out the door.

Fluttershy was searching the cities to find Rainbow Dash. Eventually she gave up and decided to take a stroll in East City.

Rainbow Dash hadn't grown her wings in months. She had given up on fighting and sports. She wasn't athletic anymore. She walked into her workplace as an accountant.

"Here we go again." Rainbow Dash muttered to herself before crunching numbers. Her cubicle had no decoration whatsoever.

Fluttershy spent the day at an animal shelter, just like she did back in Canterlot. She always wanted to adopt a cute little bunny that acted just like Angel, but she didn't really have the pay to feed him. Nevertheless, she took great care of him.

After a long day, Rainbow Dash finally left work after working overtime. She decided to go to some random restaurant, she didn't feel like cooking. She ended up in a bar.

Fluttershy had thought of the same thing. She ended up in the same bar as Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash plopped herself on a chair where the bartender was.

Fluttershy ended up in the chair next to Rainbow Dash.

"What do you want." The bartender asked Rainbow Dash.

"2 shots. Johnnie Walker Black Label." Rainbow Dash said.

Fluttershy heard the voice. 'I-Is that... Dashie!?' She thought. She looked over to the rainbow haired woman next to her and gasped.

The bartender gave it to Rainbow Dash.

"Thanks, buddy." Rainbow Dash said, downing the two shots.

"What will you have." The bartender asked Fluttershy.

"Uhm... A-A cola please..." Fluttershy said.

Rainbow Dash heard the voice, and looked over to see Fluttershy. They both looked at each other in confusion.

Then they jumped out of their chairs. "It's you!?" They both yelled.

"I-Is it you!?" Fluttershy practically yelled.

"F...Fluttershy?" Rainbow Dash asked.

Rainbow Dash ran away, throwing 70 zeni at the bartender.

"For the three drinks!" Rainbow Dash yelled before running out the door.

Fluttershy ran after Rainbow Dash. "Come back!" Fluttershy yelled.

"I'm sorry!" Rainbow Dash yelled.

"Stop!" Fluttershy yelled.

Rainbow Dash stopped short in the middle of the street.

"Why...?" Fluttershy asked.

"Why what...?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Why did you leave..." Fluttershy asked.

"C-Can I take you home or something to talk about this?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Fine." Fluttershy said.

Rainbow Dash walked ahead of her. "Follow me." She said.

They eventually got into Rainbow Dash's apartment.

Rainbow Dash gestured for Fluttershy to sit in the untouched chair.

"Why did you just... Leave me..." Fluttershy asked.

Rainbow Dash scratched the back of her head. "Well, uh... I-I just don't want to... You know... Make you uncomfortable." Rainbow Dash said.

"Stop lying to me." Fluttershy said.

Rainbow Dash had tears forming. "I... I-I..." She kept repeating.

"Rainbow Dash. Tell. Me. The Truth." Fluttershy said.

"I... I didn't want to hurt you!" Rainbow Dash blurted out. "Not again... I was the worst fucking girlfriend and fiancée to you! I didn't have empathy for you or anyone!... I just didn't want to hurt you again..." She said, crying. She fell to her knees.

Fluttershy was surprised at how someone like Rainbow Dash didn't think that Fluttershy was overreacting that one time. In fact, Fluttershy thought she was just pointing out a flaw in a minor statement.

'She's not the worst... I was!' Fluttershy thought.

"You were running away all this time... Over my overreaction?" Fluttershy asked.

"Yes..." Rainbow Dash sobbed. "C-Can you p-p-please forgive me..." She added, practically bowing to Fluttershy.

"Y-You shouldn't be apologizing... I think I overreacted..." Fluttershy said, tearing up.

"N-No, you didn't. I was an asshole about the other universes we murdered." Rainbow Dash sobbed. "P-Please, I just want to make you happy!" She said.

Fluttershy was speechless. 'How could I do this to her...' She thought.

Rainbow Dash took the silence as a rejection.

"You don't want to be with me anymore... I understand. I make you unhappy." Rainbow Dash said, standing up. "I'll get out of your hair. I should have known." She added.

"Rainb-" "You can go home, I'll just go back to my life. I don't want to bother you anymore. I'm gonna be fine. I just don't care, do I?" Rainbow Dash interrupted. She was going to her bedroom to have another sleepless night.

"Rainbow Dash... I-I'm so sorry about this misunderstanding..." Fluttershy said.

Rainbow Dash stopped. "Misunderstanding?" She asked.

"I didn't want to leave you... I was only mad and took it out on you... I wanted to be with you... I'm desperate to be with you. I feel disgusted for even taking that ring off. I'm just... A monster." Fluttershy said, tears running down her cheek.

Rainbow Dash turned around. "I...... I'm just... An idiot... I should have... Known that this was all just a misunderstanding... Fluttershy... Please... I need you..." She said, tears forming.

"Dashie... I need you too." Fluttershy said.

A huge smile spread across Rainbow Dash's face. "Oh gosh, Flutters!" She yelled, practically jumping on top of Fluttershy for a hug. "My only purpose is to keep you eternally happy!" She said.

Fluttershy fell on her back. She didn't feel pain, she was really happy. "I need you to be happy as well..." Fluttershy said.

"Oh, that doesn't matter! I just want you to be happy!" Rainbow Dash said.

Fluttershy returned the hug, but grew concerned. "D-Dashie, what do you mean you don't need to be happy?" She asked.

"I... I just want you to be happy! I... I'd rather put your feelings over mine, I think you're the most important thing in the world!" Rainbow Dash said. She cried with joy.

Fluttershy grew concerned for Rainbow Dash.

"W-Would you like to sleep over here?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"T-That would be lovely." Fluttershy said.

"C-Cool!" Rainbow Dash said, finally breaking the hug. "Uh... Y-You can do whatever you want..." She added.

They gazed into each other's eyes. Their faces centimeters from each other.
