Hey, Aza here. It's been a while since I woke in this journal. If I remember correctly, I just talked to Rainbow about Twi. I probably just start from the point after I found Twi again. okay, then, let's begin

I found Twi after she ran out of Rarity's store, the Carousel Boutique. I took a moment to apologize to her for my friend's actions before flying to Twi's location. I found her with Fluttershy, who was listening to Spike's life story. With a sigh, I watched as Twi rudely slammed the door on Fluttershy's face after she offered her help with Spike. With Pinkie's help, Fluttershy and I snuck into the library and wait for Twi to turn on the light. When she finally did, we all shouted "Surprise!". The look on her face was priceless. I was so happy that Pinkie took a picture and gave me a copy.

"Were you surprised?" asked Pinkie, bouncing in place.

"Yes," Twi say, sarcasm in her voice, "Libraries are supposed to be quiet".

"That's silly," said Pinkie, letting out a small giggle. "Who would want a quiet party?". I watched as Twi poured a glass of hot sauce and drink it. I will admitted that I have a slight sadistic streak, so It was amusing to see her run out with fire coming out of her mouth. Being nice, I followed her, only stopping to watch Pinkie eat a hot sauce covered cupcake.

"You okay?" I asked Twi. She responded with a glare.

"You knew about this," she said angrily. "You knew that I wanted to figure out the situation with Nightmare Moon, but you had to throw a pointless party.

"First, Pinkie threw this party,"

"And you didn't even try to stop her," she shot back. I heard Spike open the door before leaving after realizing what was happening.

"Unlike you, I've dealt with Pinkie every day," I said, "Trying to get her to stop partying is like trying to make water dry".

"Then why didn't you tell her to delay it?" said Twi. "You knew how important this was".

"I don't know if Nightmare Moon will return," I said sadly. Putting up a hoof to stop her from interrupting, I continued. "I don't know what she'll do when she returned. Will she just conquer Equestria or will she kill ponies?" Twi wanted to say something, but I continued anyways. "This might be your last day. It might be my last day. I didn't want your memory to be of you wasting your life in a book. I want to have some fun".

"But..." said Twi, softly.

"What could you do?" I yelled, getting Twi to flinch away from me. "Sorry, but Celestia only managed to beat her with the Elements of Harmony"

"How..." she said, only for me to interrupt again.

"I don't know," I said, confused. "I just knew it".

"Maybe your memory is coming back," suggested Twi.

"Maybe," I softly replied. The argument took a lot of energy from both of us. "Come on, the guest of honor should be at her party".

"You won't let me say no, will you?" she said, only half joking.

"Nope," I said with a smile. I waited a bit before adding, "I'll also make sure you don't drink anymore hot sauce".

"You saw that?!" she asked surprised.

"Everypony saw it," I said as I led her back to the party.

To say that Twi was awkward at first, was like saying that the sun was hot. A huge understatement. Luckily for Twi, the citizens of Ponyville were used to a wide range of personalities. I stayed by her side through out the night, in an effort to comfort her. I was happy to see her smiling as she talked to the other party-goers. While her topics of discussion weren't typical for a party, she was happy and no one complained. She talked to Applejack about her family's business. Rarity talked about what people in Canterlot were like. Fluttershy hid in her mane and refused to come out, so Twi didn't talk to her. Rainbow talked about how amazing she was and what she did for stunts. Twi rolled her eyes at the cyan mare, but politely listened. She still spoke up to point out a potential flaw or some other danger. I had to laugh when I saw her try to talk to Pinkie. "Remind me to never do that again," she told me as she held her head.

"No promises," I said with a chuckle. She shot me a glare, but unlike last time, there was no anger. It was a friendly glare. You know, the joking kind that friends do when one of them do something stupid. I lost track of time, but before I knew it, we were heading to City Hall for the Summer Sun Celebration. You already know what happens there. Celestia is gone, Nightmare Moon appears, Guards are useless, and Twi and the others ran to the library. Following them, I heard about the Elements of Harmony being located in the Everfree Forest. I followed as they rushed to the edge of the Everfree. Twi tried to convinced them to not follow her, but they walked past her while explaining that they wouldn't abandon a friend. or something like that. I was caught up in my thought. I looked up to see Twi looking at me, worry in her eyes. I saw the other also staring, but my focus was on my childhood friend.

"Are you coming too?" she asked, even though she thought it was pointless. I wanted to say yes, but my mouth said something else.

"No," Twi's eyes mirrored my surprised. "I have this feeling that I don't 'belong' here. This is your mission. Your and theirs".

"What are you going to do?" asked Twi.

"I don't know," I admitted. "I probably try to buy you sometime by stalling Nightmare".

"No," said Twi, tears on the edge of her eyes. "It's too dangerous".

"I'll be fine," I said as I pulled her into a hug. "I'll still be here in the morning"

"Promise?" she asked.

"Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye," I heard her softly laugh at my actions. "Now go and save Equestria". I vaguely heard her tell the others to make haste as I shot upward. Looking across the treetops of the Everfree, I saw something strange and followed it. Unfortunately, it was a false lead. this repeated twice before I heard the group of mare scream in terror. Flying as fast as I could, I found them laughing? Apparently, Nightmare Moon made the tree look frightening and Pinkie helped them with a song. (If you're wondering. No, I don't know why ponies break out into random songs. I just accept that it's part of my life now). Deciding to stay near them due to the interest Nightmare seemed to have in them, I watched as Rarity gave her tail to a sea serpent and Rainbow Dash refuse to join a team called Shadowbolts, a obvious copy of the Wonderbolts. I followed them to the old castle and helped them bring the orbs down from their stands. I refused to move from the room after Twi told the other her plan. Even Applejack couldn't move me from my spot. I was ashamed to say that I was unable to stop Nightmare from taking the elements and, by accident, Twi. I heard Applejack say that she must be there as she pointed at a nearby tower. I shot off as the other follow me. My thoughts were dark. I couldn't forgive myself. I didn't expect Nightmare to be smoke. I could have saved Twi. She tried to re-imprison Nightmare and I doubt the evil alicorn would be the forgiving type. I was so happy to hear Twi's voice, filled with so much confidence. She was fine, no better than that. I broke down door and launched myself at Nightmare, to everypony's surprise. She easily dodge my assault, but I continued to attack. Anger at failing to protect someone I cared about guiding my actions. I didn't have time to prepare myself when Nightmare used her magic to throw me toward the wall. I let out a pained gasp before landing on the floor. "Twi, I know you can do it. Save Equestria". With that, I passed out. I will admit that it was pretty stupid to attack her, but my emotions were in charge, not my logic. When I woke up, I saw the six wearing jewelry matching their cutie marks. There were also two new ponies. One was clearly Celestia, but the other was new. Without thinking, I said, "Hey, 'Tia. Nice to meet ya, Lulu". I fell back asleep before anyone could ask me about the nicknames.

When I woke up, they interrogated me on my knowledge of Luna, who was Celestia's sister. Unfortunately, I couldn't give that much information, because I didn't know myself. I could see Twi's face twisting with frustration and couldn't blame her. I'm frustrated myself. How do I know this stuff? Why? I hate not knowing, but I'll have to deal with it. I heard the happy news. Twi was moving to Ponyville to study friendship. Before we left to our respected homes, I said one thing to Twi, "I'm sorry" before flying off without giving her a chance to reply.

Not the best ending, but what are you going to do? Moondancer is complaining about how the bed is cold and want me to join her. Don't read too much into that! it's just a couple sharing a bed in a completely non-sexual way. Wait, what if I made you think that? I'm sorry. Oh no, I hear her coming. I need to finish this quickly before she drag me to bed

Author's Note

If you don't understand what happened at the end, Aza was being pulled away from the journal by Moondancer. I'll do a nice simple question. Favorite Genre of Video games? Mine is, obviously, Fighting.
