Broken Heart

Morning Rose spent the next five days in the hospital on suicide watch. Finally on the morning of the sixth-day Rarity signed the paperwork and together with her and her daughter went home. As they approach the house Rarity looks at Rose and says “Sweetie could you do me a favor and close your eyes. I have a surprise for you inside and I don't want it to be ruined.”

Rose nods and says in a happy feminine voice ”Okay mommy. For you or auntie Sweetie Belle I will close my eyes. Just do me a favor and don’t let me fall. I just don’t want to trip and get hurt.”

Rarity smiling sweetly at her daughter says in a soothing and kind voice “My sweet Rose I could never let you fall and hurt yourself after all you have been hurt enough. Just hold onto my hoof and you will be okay my daughter.”

As Rose took a hold of her mom’s hoof she closed her eyes and followed her mom inside. As the door closes she hears her mommy say “Okay Sweetie you can open your eyes now.” As soon as Rose opens her eyes she sees five fillies, a young purple and green dragon and five mares standing in front of her. Rose upon seeing that one of the fillies was Diamond Tiara tries to flee the house.

Sweetie Belle, seeing how terrified her niece is goes over and after laying flat on the floor in front of Rose says in a soothing voice “Hey Rose, I know you are scared of Diamond Tiara. However, she is here to apologize and to give you a gift. You see this is a party to welcome you into the family. We invited my friends and my sister's friends to the party. This way you can make some new friends.”

Rose with terror-filled eyes says “ You won’t let Diamond Tiara be mean to me will you? I don’t mean to be so scared but after what she did I panic when I see her because of her reading my diary. Can you please stay by my side in case she tries something.”

Sweetie Belle stands up and after giving the little filly a nuzzle on the cheek says “Of course I will stay by your side Rose. But can you do me a favor and try to forgive her and have fun.” After receiving a nod from Rose Sweetie leads Rose over to the fillies.

Once they were in front of the fillies Sweetie Belle says “Rose these are my friends Scootaloo and Applebloom. I know you recognize Diamond Tiara and the filly next to her is her best friend Silver Spoon.” As Sweetie introduced each pony Rose nods hello while trying to hide behind Sweetie. Sweetie notices that Rose starts to have a hard time breathing when she is introduced to Diamond Tiara.

Diamond Tiara seeing how scared the filly is because of her says “ Rose, I am sorry for how I acted towards you on your first day of school. I can see now that how I acted has deeply traumatized you so I am just going to give my present to you to your mom on my way out. I don’t want to ruin your party goodbye, Rose. By the way Silver Spoon you can stay for the party and have fun.” As Diamond Tiara finishes talking she leaves giving a box and a card to Rarity.

Soon as Diamond Tiara left Rose relaxed. However, as she looks at the fillies that stayed she starts to feel guilty for causing Diamond to leave. Rose couldn’t help but feel scared around the filly. Rose looks at the others and says “ I’m sorry for causing Diamond to leave. I am just terrified when I am around her. Anyways let's have fun this is a party, after all, isn’t it.”

The other fillies just nod and go to another room to have a tea party and just have fun. Meanwhile, the mares looked at each other with worry on their faces. Especially Rarity who asked Diamond why she was leaving as the filly left the party. As soon as the mares were alone in the room Rarity says “I don’t know what to do darlings. Rose tells me she has forgiven Diamond Tiara for what she did to her. But the fear in her eyes is so strong I don't know how to help her. Diamond Tiara told me on her way out that she is sorry for what she did and that upon seeing the fear in Rose’s eyes she knew she couldn’t stay for the party.”

A yellow mare with a pink mane says in a quiet voice “I think Rose should open the card and gift from Diamond Tiara. I think it will help the filly start to forgive Diamond for what she did. I helped her pick out the gift because she didn’t know what would make a good apology gift.”

An orange mare with a country accent says “yeah ah agree with Fluttershy over here. The filly should open da present. It is sure to help her heal her fear o Diamond.”

A purple alicorn known as the Princess of Friendship or Twilight says “Applejack and Fluttershy are right. According to my experience when you are scared of somepony the best solution is either to talk to them and find out more about the pony or face your fear head-on. Her opening the present and card will allow her to find out just how Diamond Tiara feels about her. What do you think Rainbow Dash?”

A mare with a rainbow mane and tail says “ Rarity, you are an awesome pony for taking in the filly and allowing the filly to be herself. Just follow your heart and you will be the awesome and caring mother the filly needs. As for what I think she should do is open the present and card then have her face, Diamond Tiara. But hey that’s just what I would do.”

A pink mare is just bouncing in place as if she has had too much coffee. She looks over at Rarity and says “Rarity your going to be a wonderful mommy to the young filly.I have a feeling she is going to be very important to us all. Like she will be part of the family.”

Rarity nodding says “Your right all of you. I am worrying about nothing. I’ll give her the present and card and have her open them. If once she reads it she understands how truly sorry Diamond is I will take her to find Diamond.”

Rarity takes the present and card into the room where the fillies are at playing tea party and says “Rose I have a present and card for you from Diamond Tiara. I think you should open and read the card first and then open the present. I say this because Diamond Tiara was on the verge of tears when she left.”

Rose looking worried asks “ She was on the verge of tears. Why mommy? I didn’t do anything wrong did I? If I did I didn’t mean to upset her.”

Rarity places the present and card in front of Rose and says “ You didn’t do anything wrong, my daughter. However, I do feel like you should open the card and present to see just how Diamond Tiara feels about how she treated you.”

Rose nods to her mommy and taking the card in his magic opens it to see that Diamond Tiara was crying when she wrote it. After taking a breath Rose reads out loud “Rose I just wanted to tell you that I am so sorry that I treated you as I did on your first day of school. I was scared that you were going to try to take over the school and treated you badly to try and get you to run away. When I read your diary out loud I only meant to embarrass you. However, after I finished reading everything that happened to you I ended up throwing up because of how bad you were treated. I know you will probably never forgive me but I am truly sorry for what happened and have decided to change my ways and help others. Sincerely Diamond Tiara.”

Rose having finish the card has tears in her eyes as she moves onto the present. Rose once again used her magic to open the box. It took a couple seconds to get it open but when she did she heard Silver Spoon say “Oh my Celestia. Diamond Tiara really does feel bad.” Rose wondering what Silver means pulls out a silver mirror with diamonds around the edge in all the colors of the rainbow. Rose curious as to why Diamond gave her a mirror asks in a confused tone of voice “Silver Spoon what do you mean she really does feel bad? Is this mirror special?”

Silver Spoon takes a deep breath and says in a worried tone of voice “ Yes Rose, that mirror is special. Diamond Tiara’s biological mother Pure Diamond had that mirror specially made for Diamond for her third birthday. Diamond’s mother died last year from cancer.That mirror is Diamond Tiara’s most precious possession. The person who is married to her father is her stepmom. If Diamond is giving you her mirror it means her heart is breaking.”

Rose looking scared says “ Mommy can you take me to Diamond Tiara. I need to talk to her. For I know how it feels to have your heart breaking. She will need as many friends as she can get. After reading her card and hearing the story of the mirror I’m not scared of her and I forgive her.”

Rarity nods to her daughter and says “ Okay sweetie. If you follow me we will go find her. Girls the party's over. Feel free to grab some cake on the way out. Rose will see you tomorrow.” With everything done Rarity and her daughter leave in search of Diamond Tiara.
