Chapters Virin the Series: Equestria Girls
Episode 1: New Conflict, Part I
Soaring through the skies of Equestria, Virin smiled happily as he was spreading his wings out. Beside him was a blue mare with rainbow mane and tail. This was his friend, Rainbow Dash, the Element of Loyalty. Virin was a large, red dragon with white markings on his body. He also had orange markings on his large wings. He had green horns that looked nearly identical to his shoes. His tail was a spiral-shaped one. His eyes were a blue and yellow colour, he had a scar on the left.
"This is just great," said Virin happily. Rainbow smiled at his happiness.
"I know what you mean." She replied. "You wanna see Cloudsdale, buddy?"
"You bet." And so, both friends flew towards a large cloud in the blue sky. The city was build upon some massive cloud. It was none other than Cloudsdale. Landing on the clouds, Virin was glad that he had wings of a dragon so he could stand on it.
"Well, I am a bit surprised that you managed to stand on the cloud." Rainbow then pointed out, "If you hadn't had wings, you would just had fallen right through."
"Thanks for that reminder." Virin thanked sarcastically. "Are you done teasing?" Rainbow smiled wickedly.
New Canterlot High...
A light ambered skin female with red-yellow hair, walked through the halls of the school where many students attended. She was walking towards the front door, since it was near summer time. Time sure flies fast when you're having fun.
Sunset opened the handle and felt a tap on her shoulder as she turned around to find the rest of the girls standing in front of her. The girls were how pink, blue, lavender, white, orange, and yellow skin. They were the counterparts of the Elements of Harmony.
She had been friends with them since her redemption by Virin, or Moon, as she calls him nowadays. But, Virin seems like a new name to her, so she calls him that, which he likes to be called nowadays.
She had also been friends with Virin again ever sinc he had returned from "death", but he weren't dead at any chance. He was alive and well, something she had been happy about. Something she was before she had...kissed him but found out that he was already taken by Radiant Hope, a crystal pony from the Crystal Empire. She had been wondering for how long they had been doing in their relationship.
"What are you doing now, darling?" Rarity asked her. "Are you going home and get some relaxation?" Sunset nodded.
"Yes. That is exactly what I was planning to do, Rarity." She lied, of course. "I just wanted to relax now that it is summer time, for once."
"Yeah." Pinkie agreed happily, giving her a huge smile. "Especially right after that evil monster had returned, right?" She was referring to Kelbas, an evil creature from nearly a century in the past. He had been causing chaos throughout this world, creating havoc between the militaries of Earth, the humans that was the only ones who stood up against him and had a lot of courage to do so. The students and the people of NCH had ran for their lives, making them cowards.
However, while she had scowled at them for running away, she couldn't help but feel sorry for the lives of the soldiers that had fought against Kelbas, the one monster that had quickly destroyed the majority of this city's forces from the Humanity Defense Forces.
With Arnold Shimmer...
Walking down the hallway to his office, a man with paled skin, brown hair, blue eyes. He was wearing a black officer jacket, he had a mustache. He also wear black jeans. His name was Arnold, father to Sunset and Omega, his children of his deceased wife that originated from Earth but was sent to this world in an accident.
Arnold had been second-in-command for the H.D.F in the following decades that followed the vanish of Gojira, the monster that had destroyed their major cities in single nights with much force, making him an unbelievable strong opponent. But, ever since he disappeared, no one was able to know where he went. Maybe to the world where the last dragon was the whole time? Who knows.
Grabbing the handle that lead to his room, Arnold opened the door as he slipped inside his office. The room was a decent one. A table and chair in front of the man. He had a plant on the table as well. He had pictures from 1954 from when Gojira had attacked. It was in August 9, 1954, the monster had attacked them, causing fear to grow inside them. However, the dragons tried to help, but they refused their help, believing that they could defeat Gojira alone. The dragons were enraged by their refusal and treason from when the time was that they had fought together in the world war a decade back.
The treason was that of when Gojira had attacked; the dragons didn't come when they needed them the most. The dragons had only intended to rebuild their nation by breeding with one another.
A tear threatened to fall from Arnold's right eye, but he wiped it off with a hand, not wanting to feel weak for the dragons' betrayal. While the other humans refused to see the dragons, Arnold was the only one who was remorsefully enough as to try and apologize to the dragons. But, consumed by hatred, the dragons didn't allow him to enter the White City, the hometown of the dragons.
A flashback happened before his eyes as he sat down on his chair, to the day where he had tried to enter the White City of the dragons.
A young man of average height walked up towards the brilliant white city where the dragons lived. The city was build up by white marble, hard steel hanbars that stuck out of the middle entrance. There were also cobblestone as floor as the young man, known as Arnold, walked up to the guards clad in gold armour.
"I have an invitation by your king to enter." Arnold said as soon as they took out their spears, raising his hands in defense.
"You may enter." The guards said simultaneously, stepping aside from the large metallic door. Arnold nodded in thanks, walking inside the city. Inside the city was many buildings of white marble, making it hard to know which one was the other's. The many colourful dragons looked at the human with rage in their eyes, wanting to be the ones to kill the human.
Arnold's spine shivered by the hatred shown by the dragons but continued to march forward to the castle. The many guards inside the castle was like the ones outside; they were glaring at him with rage and hatred, making his spine to shiver even more.
The hallway towards the throne was decent, to say in the least. A long, red carpet was on the floor, making way to the throne room. The spires were a white colour, there were stained glass on the walls, making history of the monarchy of the dragons. Arnold was always fascinated by this species of dragons. Like, how did they evolve? How did they survive? All the questions floated into his mind as he walked up to two more guards in clad golden armour, who stopped him with spears.
"Halt, human!" The first guard said threateningly. Arnold stopped in his tracks. "What brings you here?"
"I came from an invitation by your king, to be allowed to enter." The human responded as soon as the guard had asked him his purpose.
"The king isn't here right now." The guard told him. "Now go!" Arnold gave a small smile, bowing his head but the guards didn't return the gasture. The human left the hall and the castle, making his way outside of the city.
Arnold was hurt that their king wasn't in his throne room at the time. Where was he? Was he dead? That was a possibility.
He sighed as he leaned back in his chair, before the door opened, revealing an soldier who saluted as he stepped inside.
"At ease." Arnold said, making the soldier return to his normal pose.
"I had a request to send you to the boss' office." The soldier told his. "The info was a secret, though." Arnold sighed. That's typical for the boss to get into action. Each time he sends a soldier, he reminds that soldier that the infomation was kept secret.
"I'll go right away, just let me be alone for a few minutes." The soldier saluted again.
"Sir!" The soldier turned around, opening the door and stepped outside, closing the door as he did. Arnold sighed again, before going towards the door, opening it and stepping outside. He closed the door to his office as soon as he stepped out, to make sure no one gets in.
With Sunset...
Walking down towards her home, Sunset couldn't help but smile as she saw her house nearby, watching carefully for any cars before going over the road. Opening the door by the handle, she stepped inside and closed the door so no one could see in, sighing in great relief.
Her house was quite elegant. There was a beautiful curtain that hung above the window in a elegant purple colour. There was a sofa, chair and table in the middle of the living room. She had a kitchen to her right, which was how she was able to make some food for herself when she was alone whenever she had thought of her brother and friend, Virin and Omega.
Walking towards the kitchen, she began to make some food. She put some ingredients in the water, to make it more tasty. She also put some spaghetti in the water, s she was making that for herself today. While she was waiting for the spaghetti, she looked over to get the meat over, which began to become a grey colour as the hot water was bowling with the spaghetti. Sunset smiled as it was ready, she took the water out of the pot, putting the spaghetti in another bowl. She took the pot with the meat away from the hot hole it was on, to make sure it didn't boiling over.
Taking the spaghetti first to the eating table, Sunset took the meat over as well as she began taking the spaghetti on her plate, with the grey meat afterwards. She began eating it, grunting in satisfaction as she continued to eat.
While she was eating, the doorbell rang at the door. Curious, Sunset stopped eating as she went over to the door, opening it to reveal Twilight and Spike the Puppy, two of her good friends. The shy lavender girl had courage now, since she had been observing Virin's battles with monsters all over the world. Whenever he was fighting, he had a lot of courage and bravery, which indicated the purple human to grow with the same courage.
"May I come in?" She asked shyly. Sunset nodded as Twilight and Spike stepped inside.
"You came at the right time." The amber girl replied. "I was just about to eat." Twilight gave a small smile at her meal, thinking that she might be joining her.
"May I join in?" Twilight wondered curiously. Sunset nodded again, happy to have some company.
"You may. Come in." Sunset politely told her, making the shy human smile even more. Taking a seat, the purple human girl took some spaghetti to her plate, while taking the meat afterwards like how Sunset did. Taking two bites of her meal, the purple girl couldn't help but grunt in satisfaction as she felt the taste. The two humans continued to eat, while Spike looked on with curiosity.
"Is there something for me?" He asked in wonder. Sunset smiled as she began taking some dog food out of the fridge, giving it to Spike, who began eating it joyfully, waging his tail in delight.
"It's good." Twilight mused, eating some more.
"Thanks." Sunset thanked. "You wanna see something cool?" This inquired Twilight to look at her instantly.
"What is it?"
"I have an research facility somewhere in the city," Sunset began. "And I have thought you might want to see it for you own research."
"A facility?" Spike waged his tail back and forth. "C'mon Twilight. We've gotta see it!" The humans laughed at his excitement.
"Alright, sure." Twilight accepted. Sunset smiled happily.
"Call the other girls." She told the lavender girl. "They may also might to see it." Twilight nodded, taking a phone out and began numbering their numbers.
With Virin...
In the land of Equestria, Virin and Rainbow Dash were walking in the city of Cloudsdale, where the latter's race is from. The many pegasi looked at the duo in wonder, but frighteningly at the large dragon, who waved at them. All of a sudden, the pegasi flew into their homes. Rainbow frowned at this.
"What's their problem?" She frowned. "They do know that you''re the one who've saved them, right?" She looked up at Virin, because he was rather big for this city.
"Indeed." Virin agreed. "There just might be something off for now. But, let's wait until they calmed down." Rainbow groaned but agreed with him.
Ever since the air battle between Virin and the cyborg, Gigan, the pegasi were scared of the larger dragon's appearance whenever he visits the town, to his confusion. For the reason they were scared, were unknown. Because, the cyborg was a threat to the pegasi, maybe? That could've been the reason, but it wasn't. It was himself.
Sighing, Virin transformed back into human form, but held back his wings so he could walk on the clouds. Rainbow looked at him in confusion, but decided not to ask any questions. Soon, the pegasi slowly came out of their houses, relieved that the giant dragon was gone, and only the human hero was there. They were more safe with the human around them than the dragon, to the human's understanding.
Virin smiled as the pegasi came out of their homes. This was a good sign. As the two friends and the pegasi chatted among themselves, Virin felt something in his head that his first friend wanted to talk. He excused himself as he made his way to another cloud, lading safely on it as he heard his first friend's voice in his head.
"Moon, I know this is something that might be an excuse, but could you come to my facility for a little bit? I want to have some examples on how you transforms between your forme change. If that is alright with you?" Sunset telepathically asked, their bond had grown stronger since the former's redemption had been going on for at least two months.
"Sure. I'll come." Virin replied in his mind. He felt Sunset smiling with happiness. With their communication put away, and sighing, Virin opened a portal to that human world of hers. While he waited for his powers to open the portal, he was in deep thought.
What would happen if he were to return to the human world? Will the military that now worship him use him as a weapon? Or will they respect him and let him decide whatever he happen to do? If he were to cause any destruction, they won't hesitate as to kill him with their weapons. He had helped them get rid of Kelbas. Maybe there are more monsters out there that he didn't even know about? That may be a possibility. Because, if they were to kill him, then the two worlds would be doomed by the Master, an evil seven thousand years old skeleton dragon. He had seen it. It was filled with nothing but hatred, rage and anger. All the negative emotions were filled inside this dangerous monster. The Master was a true evil being, being able to defeat an entire army of Gods at his own free will. That sure was something unexpected.
As the portal came into view, Virin immediately jumped into it, as it closed immediately afterwards. A single blue mare looked on as the portal closed. She had seen it. He were going to return to that world again, maybe stay there this time. But, she didn't know that it was to defeat other monsters.
With Sunset...
After finishing up their telepathic communication, Sunset, Twilight and Spike drives over to the facility the former had. While driving, Spike wagged his tail back and forth, ready to see the facility with excitement.
Sunset parked the car near the front door to her facility to research creatures unknown. Going out of the car, Sunset, Twilight and Spike walked inside the facility, where an elevator gets them up to the next floor.
As the elevator stopped, Sunset walked over to a group of earthworms that was in a box. She looked dwn to them.
"Hey, guys." She greeted the worms. "Missed me?"
Twilight said jokingly, "Yes, Dr. Sunset. We missed you a whole lot." The amber girl glanced at her annoyingly, before walking over to a computer. "Oh, have some sense of humour, will ya?" Her dog gave a small snicker at her joke. "See? Even Spike thinks it's funny."
"Will you get this over your head?" Sunset asked seriously. "We're not here to play jokes. We're here to find out more about my friend Moon and his transformation. He has some sort of physical form change, or something. And we have to check how he's doing it."
Twilight blinked at her sudden seriousness, not going to question her further. "Alright. But, how can he do his transformation?"
"That, I do not know. At least, not yet." Sunset replied. "While it is true that he undergoes an transformation while fighting off monsters, he's surrounded by some sort of aura. That is a mystery I have yet to solve."
"Hm." Twilight hummed in interest. "All of this infomation sure is helping me with my own research."
Sunset smiled. "See? That is why I wanted you here, to see if you'll be able to understand first before the other girls arrives." Twilight gave a faint blush as her cheeks was a faint red colour. Spike giggled at her embarrassment, happy to have been tagged along.
"Are you done, pretty girl?" A tomboyish male voice called out. Twilight and Sunset looked over to see a brown male with white hair, blueish yellow eyes, a white streaked blueish jacket on the outside while the inside was a yellow shirt. He had brown jeans, black shoes. His eyebrows were brown. He had a serious expression on his face, making sure he is something more than the amber girl.
"Ah!" Sunset breathed in relief. "Riley. What a surprise to see you here." Riley smiled at her.
"What can I do?" Riley wondered. "Play games while you girls have all the fun? Not a chance." Sunset blushed slightly in embarrassment, glaring at him hard enough to make a puppy run.
"Well, excuse me." She argued. "But I was about to find out more about my friend." Riley smiled knowingly.
"The one standing right next to you, or someone more interested?" He asked jokingly.
"Stop joking!" Sunset shouted angrily. Riley raised his arms up in defense, afraid he might had gotten on her bad side.
"Hey! No sweat!" He responded. "I wasn't joking that time!"
"Oh yes, you were." Twilight pointed out, causing Riley to sweat drop.
"Anyway," Sunset cleared her throat. "Are we done joking around?" Both nodded. Sunset smiled in relief. "Good, because my friend will arrive here shortly." On cue, a portal appeared behind Riley. Another human stepped out from it, making the tomboyish male to sweat drop as he slowly looked behind him. He noticed a human of average height, no more. He had blue and yellow eyes, a scar on the left. He had a red jacket with black stripes and a blue shirt on the inside. He had blue jeans. He had green shoes, brown hair. His face had the most serious expression Riley had ever seen.
"Bo." This just caused Riley to jump backwards, falling on his butt and backed off. Spike giggled at the scene, finding this funny to watch.
"Hey!" Riley shouted at the dog in anger. "It's not funny!" Spike smiled innocently afterwards, whistling all the while. The boy sighed in frustration. However, as he looked back at the other human, he jumped up in a karate position, as though ready to fight. The human just sighed, jumping up as Riley made a low sweep kick, missing him. The human, however, had quick reflexes as he did his own low sweep kick, causing Riley to fall on the ground at his side, groaning in pain.
"Done?" The human asked. Riley stood up, sighing in relief as the other human stopped.
"Ooh. Sweet." He simply said, smiling innocently at the glare that was sent his way.
"Who's this?" The scarred human frowned in wonder, looking over at Sunset.
"This is Riley," She introduced him. "A colleague companion, and also a sort of friend to me."
" Sort of"?" Riley echoed, eyeing her. "Hey! We were friends ever since we'd met when you were just thirteen." Sunset shrugged her shoulders
" When you were thirteen"?" The scarred human frowned again, looking suspiciously as he eyed the brown male.
"Ever since she was lost, I was the one who helped her find both her own house and this facility," Riley showed his story, leaning against Sunset's shoulder. "We've been basically unshakable since then."
The scarred human gave him a hard glare. "Really? Then, who was the one that managed to save her from taking over a school?" Sunset gave him a warning but suspicious eye.
"Taking over a school?" Riley frowned this time. "You mean Canterlot High? That school is nearly impossible to be taken over by a single girl."
"Yes. Nearly." The scarred human nodded. "But, I was the one that managed to save the school, even many times before have I saved this city from multiple creatures." Riley's eyes widened in shock.
"You mean..." He said slowly, looking at the smirking Sunset. "You had adventures without me?!"
"Hey, it wasn't my fault that you were hooked up with those video games of yours." The scarred human looked on in confusion, wondering what a "video game" was. Sunset noticed this, and explained carefully to make sure he understood, since he was an Equestrian not an "actual" human. "A video game is a high-tech gaming reality virtual that comes in many different categories. The consoles also comes in many different categories. The newest and latest one is a Switch." This only confused her friend even more, as he titled his head in wonder and confusion.
Riley saw this and sweat dropped. "You don't even know what a video game nor handheld console is?!" He asked in disbelief.
"Nope." Was his simple answer. Riley sweat dropped even more, frowning all the while. He looked at the light amber girl, whispering,
"You have one weird friend." Sunset quietly giggled.
"I know." She whispered back.
"If you need me," They looked at the scarred human. "Then I am out in the water, getting some swimming done." He walked over to the balcony and jumped. Riley screamed for him, but before that a bright red light appeared as a large, red dragon stood in place of where the human had jumped. The dragon glanced at the shocked human, giving him a small smile before turning to the water and walked towards it as he swam under the water. From under the water, the dragon swam happily as his body was soaking wet, glad to get some water for once.
From the door, about six people walked inside the research facility. The orange coloured girl looked over to see a brown male standing next to Sunset, whistling out her arrival. Turning to face her, Sunset, Twilight, and Spike smiled as their friends had arrived, but the new one looked suspicious out.
"Who's that?" Sunset asked, pointing to the scientist. He waved a hand, introducing himself.
"Hello." He greeted. "I am a scientist. My name is Crait Grady. A pleasure." He suddenly sneezed, but held his arm near his mouth before the sneeze came. The girls backed away. Crait glanced at them. "Sorry. Summer cold." Crait was wearing a white coat, adding with brown pants, gray shoes. He had reddish brown eyes, pale yellow hair.
"It's mighty fine." Applejack replied, giving him a small smile. She looked at Sunset. "So, where's the guest of honour?" Sunset smiled, before they heard a splash out of the window. Crait panicked, clinging himself around the orange girl. She pushed him away. "Hey! A little privacy, thank you."
"Sorry." He apologized. "But, what was that splash?" He frowned, walking over to the window, before gasping loudly, getting everyone's attention. They walked over to him, seeing a large, red dragon in the water, swimming around happily.
"What is that?" Riley asked before Crait could begin his own question.
"That is Virin, or Moon as I used to call him." Sunset answered, introducing the dragon to the two males. "He is from another world, beyond the stars. He is the one who had fought against the many monsters you've seen on the television. He is an skillful battler, I must say. He had handled his own even against the hardest of odds on him."
"Wow." Crait breathed in awe. Riley rolled his eyes, thinking that the dragon has to die in his mind.
New Mexico...
Observing a large footprint, a flock of people was taking pictures of it, as though it was their discovery.
"And this, ladies and gentlemen, is where Kelbas began his reign of terror." A brown Mexiconian man said to the people, spreading his arms out wide.
From in the water, a few people was swimming. Suddenly, a female swimmer was pulled under the water, screaming for help. The other people in the water were also pulled under by tentacles from what seemed like squids.
With the colonel of Crystal Prep's military...
At a beach of New Mexico, Colonel Nick Hoskins was ordering the containers to let the fish down.
"That should get that big carnivore." Nick said, stepping beside a soldier. "He had eaten fish; I had seen it before."
"What about the tarn?" The soldier he stood beside asked, pointing at the tarn. "Doesn't quite fit the pattern."
"We don't have to worry about that." Hoskins replied, before his telephone rang. "Colonel Nick Hoskins here." The person told him that it had found something. "You saw what?! Where?" Nick gritted his teeth as the person told him about a facility in New Canterlot High.
"Prepare to move out." He ordered his men. "A mission must be completed." He had a dark expression on his face. That dragon beast must be killed.
With Sunset and the crew...
Few weeks had passed ever since Riley and Crait were introduced to the gang, even to Virin. For Sunset, she was happy that her friend would allow her to test his transformation, to which she obliged to find out with the computers. Ever since that day, Virin was in the human world his whole time being tested by a different friend other than Princess Twilight Sparkle. Because, Sunset was given permission to run her tests on him that she wasn't allowed to do, in order to find out what was causing him to undergo his transformation.
There were times where Omega and his assistant nearly had found out that she was observing her friend's abilities. But, she shoved them out of her research facility so she could work in peace. Omega was suspicious about his sister's new attitude, and he was going to find out what.
Walking to the facility, a pale skinned human with a black jacket with a red shirt inside, green jeans, red shoes. Beside him, was an average height human with a blue shirt with yellow stripes. He was holding a camera. He had brown jeans, black shoes. His eyes were blue, while the other human had yellow eyes.
"She's hiding something. I just know it." Omega whispered lowly to his assistant, Alan. "A brother senses these things."
"You're her brother?!" His assistant asked a bit loud, before being shushed by his friend. "Then why are we breaking into her facility?" He whispered.
"This has nothing to do with our relationship." Omega whispered again. "It's about the story, to the people so that they know the dragon's identity. Even if that does break our bond a bit, I don't care." He was standing next to a sleeping red dragon. "That little girl must be taught a lesson." Opening an eye, the dragon suddenly stood up, surprising both humans as they screamed.
Sunset and her crew heard her brother's surprised scream, and looked over to the window, seeing Virin awake. The amber girl ran out to the balcony, raising her hands up.
"Wait!" Virin looked at her. "They're friends! They won't hurt you!" She then whispered, "I hope."
"Oh. Someone's going to get hurt." Omega threatened. "The story of the century, and you were not going to tell me?"
"I was trying to prevent a world wide chaos." Sunset responded with a sneer. "And what are you doing here, breaking into this facility? You weren't allowed!"
"Oh. I simply don't care." Omega spat at his sister. "If you weren't going to tell me once, then I had to break in one way or another..." He suddenly stopped as Virin had his head down with an angry glare. He rose his arms up in defense. "Take it easy! We were just...talking..." Virin opened his mouth, as though he was going to eat Omega.
A sudden light lit up the area. Sunset and her crew looked up to see an helicopter flying above them.
"Guys?" Riley started, before shouting, "Incoming!" Light lit up from the ground, as human soldiers walked up in line, ready to fire.
"No!" Sunset shouted. "Leave him alone!" Virin roared out in agreement, not happy with the soldiers' interruption. A sudden blast of fire was shot against virin's shoulder, causing him to roar out in pain as blood was drawn on the shoulder. "Virin!" She shouted in worry, looking down at the soldiers. A few more soldiers arrived at the place, looking surprised to see the red dragon.
The lead soldier ordered an attack, making a tank to fire on the red dragon, who let loose an powerful blue beam that vaporized the fire. The dragon fired a fire breath at the helicopters, causing one of them to fall down to the ground.
A few tanks fired at the dragon, who roared in pain as he was being attacked.
"Hello!" Alan grunted in resistance as a soldier took out the tape from his camera. "This is priority to us!"
"You don't belong here!" Sunset shouted at the soldiers, going down from the stairs. "This is private property!" As she got down, Colonel Nick Hoskins came up to her, taking her by surprise as he held her jacket.
"You have crushed the line, Doctor!" Nick growled in rage, holding onto Sunset who briefly shoved his hands off.
"He wasn't hurting anybody!" She sneered, before being held again.
"If you know what's good for you," Nick threatened, "then you'll keep your mouth shut. Or else you'll be set to trial for treason!"
Another blast of fire hit Virin, causing him to roar out in pain again. Sunset gasped, running up to him as she got out of Nick's grip.
"Go into the water!" She shouted up to him. "Swim away!" Virin groaned in pain as he listened to her words, walking into the water. From above him, a fighter jet was flying towards him, shooting at him as he fell to the water, swimming away. The pilot pressed a button, firing a missile into the water, causing a large explosion to happen, with Virin nowhere to be seen.
"Virin!" Sunset shouted, before falling to her knees. "No... No..."
Virin the Series: Equestria Girls
Episode 2: New Conflict, Part II
Previously, on Virin the Series...
"This is great!"
"Want to see Cloudsdale?"
"You bet."
"Moon, I know this is might be an excuse, but can you come to my facility for a little bit?"
"Who's this?"
"This is Riley."
"Who's that?"
"My name is Crait Grady. A pleasure."
"Prepare to move out. A mission must be completed."
"Virin! No... No..."
At the facility and the gang...
"This dragon, Virin, wasn't fully grown, but was quickly destroyed by the Crystal Prep's military." The news reporter informed the viewers. "We bring to you that people are going missing in New Mexico..." The screen went mute as Sunset pressed a button on the remote control.
"That should've been me on the six 'o clock news." Omega grunted in dissatisfaction, glaring heatedly at the television.
"Well, yeah," Alan agreed before slowly walking to a standing "frozen" soldier. "But, you can't get on te television, because of priority rights, and has the tape taking from you to a bunch of stormtroopers breaking into your cavern!"
Sunset sighed clearly distressed, before looking at her brother. "You shouldn't had called the soldiers, who had just killed my best friend from under my nose. What was your problem?!"
"Hey!" Omega cried out in defense. "Do you really think that I..."
"Hey, hey." Alan stepped in. "We didn't actually see Virin, alright? Unlike ten seconds before the military showed up.."
The door opened, revealing both Commander Arnold and Colonel Nick Hoskins. The former had an angry expression on his face, as he was ready to talk to his daughter who had kept something from him.
"You and I talk, without Commander Arnold." Nick suddenly spoke harshly. Arnold was surprised, but kept his cool. "Now." Sunset sighed as she walked together with the colonel outside.
Walking over to the balcony of the facility, Sunset and Nick talked over what happened.
"I know what you're thinking." Hoskins said. "How could I just destroy the scientific find?"
"That dragon could be of some use so we could get more infomation about them." Sunset replied rather angrily. "Couldn't you see that?!"
"You didn't think I considered that?!" Nick responded with equal anger. "I did see that we could've learned more, but someone told me to destroy him, and I took the orders maybe a bit more harsh than expected." Sunset gritted her teeth in rage.
"Well, excuse me," she said slowly, taking a deep breath to calm down. "But, he was my friend. You wouldn't kill an friend of the one who'd saved this city, now would you?" Nick blinked as he frowned at the question. Before replying to her primary answer, he just said.
"Go. Scramble up worms instead." Nick told her. "That'll be a lot safer for everybody."
Sunset blinked. "You... are not arresting me?"
"You disappointed?" Nick smirked triumphantly, happy to had won this round. Sunset just smiled in relief
After her talk with the colonel, and that of her not being arrested, to Pinkie's huge relief for some reason, Sunset and the crew worked in the lab for some time to think about what had happened to their friend, Virin.
Was he really dead? He wasn't coming back? It couldn't just end like this. Not now. If he really was still out there, then they could still have hope to survive.
"Whoa!" Riley gasped, playing his video game. "Take it easy, buddy!" He was distracting the girls and the scientist from their work, but was paying no attention to them. Applejack sighed, walking over to the television and pushed a button that made it went black, shocking Riley in an instance. "Hey! I was playing that!"
"Sorry, partner," Applejack apologized, harshly looking at him. "But, could you focus? We have to find where Virin went. He hasn't come back yet."
"Maybe because he's dead?" Riley frowned, but that frown was quickly replaced by a self-defense stance as Applejack was glaring at him hardly. "Take it easy, cowgirl!"
"Don't call me that." She warned him. "Or call me pretty girl as well. You've been warned." Riley sighed as he flipped the chair around to face her.
"Look." He said, trying his best to find his words. "What happened back there, wasn't either of your faults. I think it could've been the French people's fault. I am a French colleague student as well as English student."
Applejack blinked. "You believe that the French people were responsible?"
"Hey, anything could happen." Riley replied. "They're strict to their rules, following no orders from the outside world other than theirs. It's the same with the other countries, just like this one. But, this one's a bit more strictly than the others, because we have more soldiers than them, or something like that."
Applejack sighed, walking over to a computer to think over what she just received.
"Will you people get over your minds?" Sunset suddenly spoke harshly. The others blinked and looked at her. "We're here to find out what happened to my friend, not here to chit-chat. C'mon." Her telephone suddenly rang. "It's Doctor Sunset Shimmer here. What is it?" The person talked about some strange events happening in New Mexico. Sunset's eyes lit up with excitement. "Alright. We'll be there." She took the telephone in her pocket. "New objective: New Mexico."
"Why?" Rarity frowned. "Why's so suddenly?" She, along with the others were curious about what she had been talking about, and who she had been talking with. Who was the person? What did he/she want?
"Apparently," Sunset began, "People are going missing in New Mexico. We're going there to investigate it. And, we'd better check it out." Her friends blinked at her tone. It seemed so familiar.
After grabbing their belongings, the nine friends walked to the harbor where a ship had been resting the whole time. It was brown, but was painted white.
"I hope you don't mind that I renovated the old boat." Riley spoke up. "If we are going on adventures, then we'll need a proper boat to sail through the ocean and seas." Sunset smiled at him, glad that he was so thoughtful.
"Knew I could count on you." She spoke so suddenly. Riley smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck. They got up on the boat with a set of stairs, but someone was already up in the boat. Sunset blinked as she looked at the new person.
She had azure blue eyes, black hair, a black jacket with black jeans. She had a red shirt underneath the jacket. She had brown shoes.
"Hello." She spoke in an French accent. "You must be Doctor Shimmer. Am I correct?"
"Yes." Sunset replied cautiously. "Who are you?"
"I am Monique Farrow. Member of the French military. A pleasure." Monique held her hand out, but Sunset didn't take it. She had an angry stare in her eyes.
"You mean..." Realization slowly came into her mind. "You and your people had been shadowing me the whole time?" She walked to the door to the bunker, before she turned as Monique spoke up behind.
"Why, yes, in fact." She said not very cautiously. "We were also the ones that had told the Colonel to kill that beast of an friend of yours, Miss Shimmer."
"What?!" The others gasped in horror, not believing what they've just heard. They couldn't believe it. Riley was right!
"So, you say that..." Sunset began slowly. "You were the ones that ordered them to kill my friend?!"
"Hadn't you done your work properly, this creature would never had been born, nor would he still be alive." Monique argued, eyeing the light ambered girl.
"How could you say that?!" Sunset gritted her teeth angrily. "He was my friend! And you would just kill him off?! He was the one who had saved this planet multiple times before! He's a hero, not an antagonist!" She was really angry at this Monique Farrow person. She couldn't hold her anger. "And for your information, he's not an beast. He's an living organism. Hadn't thought of that, did you?"
"An organism that must be destroyed." Monique responded calmly. "He is an threat to humankind. His species didn't help us when Gojira had arrived in our own world. They are savages that had been destroyed for over a decade, but only one had survived."
Sunset clenched her teeth in anger, before taking a deep breath. She couldn't take this feeling off. This Monique Farrow was a troublesome person. Taking a deep sigh, she nodded in understanding but only once. Monique smiled happily, glad that she understood her point.
"Glad to see you've come to you senses." She said calmly in French accent.
"This is not that I've come to my senses." Sunset responded. "I'm just going to take you in on the team, not going to help neither you nor your people to kill an vanished dragon." Monique blinked, not realizing this.
"He had vanished?" She asked in her local accent. She then said, "So, he's not killed then."
Riley spoke up. "Yes. He's not dead, mind you. Now, can we take off?" He suddenly had an idea. "Hey. Our team needs an name."
"What kind of an name?" Spike suddenly spoke. Riley jumped up in surprise, even Crait jumped. They looked at the dog, eyes widened in shock and disbelief, hanging their arms down.
"The dog just spoke." Twilight giggled at their reactions.
Riley cleared his throat, causing the conversing girls to look at him. "We need a name that matches that Virin guy. Hm. How about L.R.D?"
" "L.R.D"?" Rainbow frowned in confusion.
"It stands for "Lucky Red Dragon"." Riley translated. "What do you think?"
"Well, I think it suits us." Rarity spoke, agreeing with the title.
"Me too." Pinkie added, agreeing. The other girls just nodded in agreement. Sunset and Monique were still skeptical for the name, but got along with this.
New Meciso seas...
After having taking the L.R.D Seeker to the seas of New Mexico, the group of ten had been glad to get out of the lab since weeks ago. They've been relieved to come out in the fresh air for a while, even Monique were happy to get out for some reason. She was a mystery the girls had yet to solve.
"Ah." Crait breathed out. "Is it just me, or does it feel good to get out of the lab?"
"It does feel good." Rarity agreed, looking at the girls. "What do you girls think?"
"I think so." Applejack added in agreement.
"Focus, people." Monique told them. "We're here to investigate missing humans, not breathing in the fresh air." An robot suddenly came up to them, surprising the girls.
"Oh." Crait smiled at their reaction. "This is A.N.G.I.L, A millennium Intelligence Gathering Electronic Liaison. Say hello. A.N.G.I.L."
"Hello, b-b-babe." The robot greeted in a metallic voice that were out-synchronized.
"Wasn't he the one that was destroyed by Virin's tail when you first introduced it?" Rarity asked as she pointed out. Crait sighed n depression at her point, not happy that she found that out quickly.
"In fact, yes." He sighed. "A.N.G.I.L has a hobby of causing him to be destroyed when's not carefully enough. He's also intelligent that helps me with my research, and I was hoping that he could be of some use for our group with our own research, as he's an capable machine to help."
"Sure." Applejack nodded. Crait sighed in relief, glad that the robot was accepted. Looks like this group just got a whole lot bigger.
"Land ashore!" Riley shouted, seeing New Mexico in the distance. The others looked over, smiling as the land of Mexico was in sight. As the L.R.D Seeker landed ashore at the beach, five of the group walked down to the sand, while the others sailed out again.
Observing a piece of tarn, Applejack took a piece of tarn into a glass that A.N.G.I.L held out, which caused the robot's circuits to go all like KABOOM.
"It...it...Hey...hey...Ho...Ho..." Crait looked at his robot in slight confusion, hearing a laughter from Applejack and the girls.
"Remind to never let that hacker mess with A.N.G.I.L's circuits." Crait told the girls.
"Sure." Rainbow smirked humourously.
Applejack held her hand on the tarn, feeling a pulse. "You feel that?" Crait held his own hand on the tarn, feeling the same pulsing. "That pulsing is there. Something's in here." Suddenly, a fish came struggling out of the tarn, causing the girls to shriek in surprise while Crait reared his head back a bit.
"It looks like the tarn was draining it." He pointed out. "But why?"
"Who knows?" Rainbow quicken her breath, her own pulse took the heck out of her.
Inside the L.R.D Seeker, Sunset and Monique were still arguing over for what to do with the slightly undefeated dragon.
"I told you," the former spoke harshly. "He's my friend. I'll never kill him."
"If you don't want to, then I'll just have to call your military to kill that dragon."
"Are you daring?"
"Yes. I dare."
"Try it."
"With pleasure."
"Alright. Cat fight." Riley suddenly stopped their arguing, causing both girls to look at him.
"Shut up!" Riley closed his mouth at the call. Then, Sunset's telephone rang, which relieved her. She took it out and heard what the others had found.
"What did you find?" She asked.
"Well, we found out that the fish found in the tarn, was completely drained." Came Applejack's voice.
"What kind of creature are we dealing with?" Sunset mumbled in wonder before she heard Applejack's scream of surprise. "Applejack!"
From on a boat, a flock of squids were crawling up to the girls and Crait, who stood back as the squids came closer. As one of the girls tried to pinch the squids, one of the squids took the stick Rarity was holding, crunching it to pieces with its teeth. One of the mutated squids took the robot that tried to electrifying it, dragging it under the water.
"A.N.G.I.L!"" Crait cried out in horror, before he noticed the girls were taking by the tentacles of the squids as he was taken as well, which engulfed them in tarn as they were dragged under water.
In the dark night, the L.R.D Seeker sailed over to the tarn, with the light in front lit up so they could see. Sunset looked down at the water with narrowed eyes, before seeing a telephone in the tarn.
"Halt!" She cried as the boat stopped. Running to the back of the boat, Sunset took the telephone in tarn in her hand. "Applejack..."
"This is why we should've been there for them." Monique spoke up, causing Sunset to turn to look at her. "If we've never been so far away, then the others would've never had been caught by the tarn."
"Are you blaming this on me?!" Sunset barked.
"In fact, yes." Monique confirmed. Sunset gritted her teeth, before Riley made a dinging noise above them.
"We have a winner." He said. "If I could just call the little 'bot, then we can receive the others in no time at all." As they waited, A.N.G.I.L came into view as the robot held out multiple metallic arms, carrying the five girls and Crait as they were unconscious.
After taking them inside the boat's lab, Sunset said, "Subject remains unconscious, if I just pull something like this..." She sprayed some hot liquid onto the unconscious bodies, vaporizing the tarn as it puffed up. Crait suddenly awoke, screaming as he was in tarn.
"Ah! Squids!" He screamed. "Get it off! Get if off!" The girls coughed out water.
"It's over." Sunset reassured them. "It's over now. Relax."
Walking out of the boat's lab, Sunset was met with Riley and Monique.
"How're they?" The former asked in worry.
"They're fine." Sunset assured him. "They just need time to recover." Riley sighed in relief, glad that Applejack would be alright. Suddenly, the boat started swirling from side to side, causing them to yelp in surprise.
The six inside the lab came out by the sudden nudges. Coming up from the water, were the squids from before.
"Not again." Crait groaned as his nightmare came back.
"Get inside." Monique ordered them. "Now!" They listened to her, walking backwards back in the boat's lab, closing the door as the was locked just as the squids came up on the boat. The squids began barging on the door, succeeding in tearing it away, pulling Sunset as she was the closest to them. But, as she held onto the stairs, with Riley's help, she was pulled out of the room as the squids lifted her up in the air. Slowly making her way down, the squids holding her was crunching happily to have human meat. However, suddenly, the squids were pulled under the water by force as Sunset landed on the boat's floor, grunting in pain.
"Excuse me?" Riley came up to her. From the water, a large, red dragon with orange and markings on his body and wings, came out of the water, holding the squids in his large arms.
"Virin." Sunset breathed out in surprise. Virin looked at her. "You're alive." The dragon nodded before he was pulled under the water by the squids, causing Sunset to gasp in worry. From the water, a giant arm sprung up as Virin got back out, with his spikes glowing a blue colour as he fired his atomic breath attack, roasting the squids as they fell to down to the water. Riley let out a cheer.
"Whoa-ho!" He cheered. Virin walked away as he laid back under the water, swimming. Monique held a hand on the back of her neck, surprise overtaking her.
"I can't believe it." She said. "That dragon...saved our lives."
"Luckily, he doesn't hold a grudge." Sunset pointed out. Monique smiled for a first time, glad to be alive along with the others, her new friends. After seeing Virin alive and well, Sunset was happy that her studies weren't finished yet. He did say that she was allowed to study him, unlike how Princess Twilight wasn't allowed to. She silently giggle at the thought, lowly enough so her friends didn't hear her.
After sailing through the seas to shore, the group of ten came down from the boat, observing the mutated squids. Sunset had an radioactive device that was so she could scan for radioactivity from the squids, which was possible to grow bigger through radioactivity.
"It seems like these squids were grown bigger through radioactivity," Sunset echoed her thought. "But, how could they possibly be that?"
"Who knows?" Rainbow frowned. "It's not like there could've been nuclear testing in these areas. Or, could there?"
"Nuclear testing..." Sunset then tapped her chin in thought. "That could be the reason. Good thinking, Rainbow. Now, for how the squids were able to grow big was because of the radioactivity from nuclear testing. That could also be the reason for how their growth was from the testing of nuclear waste." Rainbow rubbed the back of her neck in anticipation.
"Is it like how Vrin spits blue warming breath of radioactivity from his mouth?" A voice called, making the group to look in the direction of the voice. They saw Omega and Alan coming down from the ridge. As Monique opened her mouth to ask how, Omega said, "Been there. Done that." He was in an angry mood of not being invited to the team, and having adventures.
"Please." Monique suddenly pleaded. "You mustn't be here. It's too dangerous. something may come out unexpectedly." That's the cue. From the water, a giant theropod creature of above average height stood tall and mighty. It had two powerful legs, a tail and a short neck that of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. It had three small fingers, long arms. Its scales were a black colour. Its eyes were a blood-red colour.
"A ." Pinkie whispered fearfully, backing up behind the girls along with Fluttershy.
"A mutated one, at that." Crait added just as fearfully, backing up quietly. The walked over to the squids, biting onto the burned flesh, but spit it out right afterwards. The Tyrannosaurus looked over to the town where people was walking, saliva dripping from its mouth as its stomach growled in hunger. The Tyrannosaurus let out a powerful roar, blowing the leaves off the trees, making everyone in town to look at the fearfully, before running for their lives.
The Tyrannosaurus walked up to the town, rampaging through it as the group looked on helplessly. Monique, however, was intending to borrow a motorcycle near the parking place, getting on it, taking a helmet on.
"C'mon." She held a helmet to Sunset, who took it.
"What are you going to do?" The light ambered girl wondered.
"Let's see if it likes fire." Monique smirked as Sunset also smirked, before the former drove the motorcycle close to the Tyrannosaurus, who chased it as it got into view in front of its eyes. The Tyrannosaurus took the motorcycle by the back, causing both Monique and Sunset fall to the ground face first but stood up quickly. As the motorcycle neared the Tyrannosaurus' mouth, Monique took out a pistol and fired a bullet of stone at the motorcycle, destroying it as fire was met with the Tyrannosaurus' mouth instead.
The roared angrily at the humans, who ran away as it gave chase. While running past buildings, Sunset and Monique was quickly caught up by the Tyrannosaurus, who held its mouth close to the humans before a powerful roar caught its ears. The three looked over to the roar's direction, to see a large red dragon with orange and white markings over its body and wings standing tall and mighty as it faced the .
The roared in a challenging way to the dragon, who roared back. The two giants walked up to each other, biting onto each other's necks, causing blood to appear on the other's neck, but they ignored it. The dragon reared back before punching the in the head, making it stumble back a bit before swiping the dragon's head with its powerful tail. Virin was sent flying into a harmless building, causing it to crumbling to the ground as the dragon fell on his back.
Sunset and the group watched on, before a helicopter flew by and landed near them. Out, came Commander Arnold and Colonel Nick Hoskins, the former had his hand point in his daughter's direction.
"Sunset..." He started before a roar caught his ears to go deaf. He rubbed them with his arms, looking over at the happening battle between a dragon and a Tyrannosaurus. "The colonel was right. Where'd that thing come from, anyway?"
"Same place as Godzilla." Sunset answered casually. "And, if you ask me, then I think that Tyrannosaurus is here to revenge against his kind and species." Looking back at the battle, she saw that Virin got back up and swiped at the ' feet with his tail, causing the Tyrannosaurus fell to the ground, but got back up quickly. The Tyrannosaurus' eyes boiled with rage as the dragon had swiped its feet, roaring out with a powerful roar. But, the roar only made the humans' ears go deaf, not the dragon's.
Virin watched as the roared, thinking of an plan to defeat it. He glanced sidelines over to a ridge, thinking that'll have to do. Virin spread his wings and flew over to the ridge, the Tyrannosaurus didn't follow, as it will rampage through the town's square. The walked over to a building, headbutting it with all its might, causing the building to crumble to the ground. Suddenly, the was hit in the back by a rock. Looking over to where it was thrown, the growled as it saw Virin roaring out a challenge. Accepting it, the ran over to the ridge, as Virin leaned to the edge as he began burrowing into it.
"What's it doing?" Nick frowned.
" "It" is a "he", Mr. Colonel." Arnold pointed out.
"He's tunneled all over that ridge." Sunset responded. "It's unstable." That's the cue. Virin got out of his burrowing, roaring at the , who turned around before the edge collapsed, causing it to fall to the ground with more rocks falling onto it, now seemingly dead. Virin let out a victorious roar, before the edge collapsed some more, dragging him to the ground, with the last rocks falling onto him, covering him as he was seemingly dead as well.
"Ha!" Nick laughed. "Two monsters for the prize of one."
"That dragon just sacrificed itself for us, Major." Sunset pointed out. Nick turned his head away, before a roar caught their attention. What shocked them, was that Virin was alive and well, as he had gotten out of the rubble from the rocks. Three helicopters came flying into the scene, clsoe to Virin.
"Target is locked on. Ready to fire." The lead pilot called, looking to a swimming Virin in the water.
"On my signal..." Nick began, before his hand was taken by Sunset.
"No!" She objected. "You can't!"
"I have my orders!" Nick argued.
"Don't you want just one dragon to be on our side?" Sunset questioned.
"Don't make it harder than it needs to be." Nick shook his head. From under the water, Virin was tucking some ships out of the tarn, before swimming around at a fase rate, causing the tarn to swirl as the ships and unconscious men floated to the surface.
"On my signal..." Nick's eyes widened in shock as he saw the ships and missing swimmers in the tarn that came floating up.
"Wow." Sunset breathed. The helicopters returned to their position.
"Requesting permission to fire on Virin." The lead pilot called to his chief.
"He's the only one that stands between us and every other mutations and monsters that comes crawling out of the wood work." Sunset pointed out to the Colonel, who thought it over.
"The beast is dead." He told the pilots.
"Sir?"
"Repeat." Nick repeated. "The beast is dead. Is that clear?"
"Yes, sir!" The helicopters flew away from the scene, with Virin going back into the water as he swam.
"Thank you, Major." Sunset thanked him.
"Don't make me regret this..." Nick replied.
"You won't be." Arnold responded, holding a hand on his shoulder.
At the lab...
After that fortunate event, everyone returned back to their lab, with Monique a part of the team.
"Ah!" Crait breathed. "I'm glad that it's over now." He sneezed, before that, he held a paper near his nose, so that the sneeze happened in the paper.
"Over?" Sunset echoed. "Just be glad that whatever we're facing in the future, we won't be facing it alone." From outside in the water of the facility, Virin's head came out of the water, letting out a roar as he snorted with his nostrils.
Virin the Series: Equestria Girls
Episode 3: I'm Also A Man, Grady
In New France, on a farm where people were trying to plant the seeds to grow vegetarian, some of the people was confused why it was not working.
"Why is it not working?" A brown French echoed in a thick French accent.
Suddenly, there was an "earthquake" as the people were starting to scream in surprise. The ground was shaking violently, as though it was a tough earthquake. But, in reality, it was caused by a giant creature.
From underneath the surface, a giant worm sprung up as the French people ran away from the scene, and away from the giant worm that had blueish skin, with its underbelly a bright yellow colour. It had teeth like an carnivore. It had large spikes on its head, going down to its tail.
The worm retreated back to the ground as the French humans ran off in search for shelter.
At the lab...
Inside the facility, the group of ten was having their daily life. Sunset was studying with Twilight about Virin's transformation, Riley was playing video games on his computer. Crait was working on A.N.G.I.L as Riley had reprogrammed it once again, which frustrated him.
Applejack was trying to make Riley to understand their situation, to no valid. Pinkie was sitting on the ground, bored out of her mind. Rarity was staring out of the window, looking at the swimming dragon that were in the water, along with Rainbow that also looked on the red dragon. Fluttershy also looked on, but had fear in her eyes as she watched the dragon swim about.
The yellow human was still skeptical of Virin being here. She was thinking that the military should've had finished him off, but he had simply endured their air strike. That was simply just impossible. But, he made it possible, somehow- How did he do it? Did he have some sort of regeneration ability of some sort? That made it just sound too silly.
But, she couldn't shake the feeling off that he had saved their lives from the squids and that T. Rex back in New Mexico a few weeks ago. That was just too heroic for him to do, which responded to her that she was slowly feeling better with him being here. But, that was very slow, considering he was a monster to her eyes.
Outside in the water, Virin was swimming happily. He was lucky that there was water near the facility. He was also somehow lucky to have survived that air strike. That was a frightening thing to do, in the humans' eyes, to him. He was only trying to be nice around the gang that had saved this city from power-hungry sirens, along with a power-hungry teacher. He was going to do the same to them, by saving the world from monsters of all kind.
Virin was in thought about his pony family. How were they doing? How are they able to take in the fact that he has been away for two months? How'll they react to the news of him nearly dying to the humans? All these questions left him baffled just by thinking about them.
Inside the facility, Applejack finally had enough of Riley. She turned to him with a scowl, walking up to the computer, pressing on the button, causing it to turn black in an instant. Riley gasped at this.
"Hey!" He finally called out, glaring at the orange human. "I was playing that!" He was angry that he had lost his new record of his "Plants vs. Zombies" game. He was also angry by the fact that he had only just reached level eighty of that game.
"Will you focus?" Applejack finally snapped, causing Riley to rear back at her sudden snappish attitude. "We're trying to work things out here."
"Alright. Alright." Riley was shaking by her snapping, something he shouldn't had done. Riley had taken a liking to the orange human, but didn't say his feelings aloud so she could hear it. He was going to keep it private as long as possible.
Applejack sighed, walking over to Sunset that was typing on the computer. "Anything?"
"Nothing yet." Sunset replied, distracted by her voice, looking at her. "But, I've found out as to why he's able to undergo his transformation. It took two months for me to find out."
"And, what did you figure out?"
"It seems that..." Sunset started, trying to let out her words carefully of her examination. "He's able to transform through that aura thing that surrounds him. He's also able to transform at will, something which seems to be nearly impossible. It's almost like how we're undergoes that weird transformation when we were at the Battle of the Bands."
"Yeah." Applejack nodded. "I remember that time. It was one of the weirdest things ever to happen to us."
"Weird or not," Sunset shook her head. "It happened when we were giving it us all, by not giving up."
Crait was still working on A.N.G.I.L as he overheard the two girls talking. He stopped with his work and walked over to them. "Did you say "Battle of the Bands"?" This caught everyone's attention.
Sunset and Applejack sighed simultaneously, before nodding to Crait's question.
"The music battle happened over a year ago." Sunset responded idly. "Why's that a surprise?"
"Because..." Crait started, trying to find his words. "I was happening to watch the entire thing on the television. I was a fan of music, to be in fact."
"Yeah." Riley added. "I saw it on the television, as well. How about you, Monique?" They all looked at the French person, who shook her head. "Nothing at all?"
"Nothing." Monique replied in her French accent. "We French people were preoccupied with maintaining balance throughout our home. It was said that, a dragon and a monster had fought while you girls had the "Battle of the Bands" thing going on."
"We heard." Pinkie replied, giving a small smile. "We did hear two roars that time, but ignored it entirely. We weren't the least concerned for the dragon back then, but now we are. Right, girls?" The girls nodded, except Fluttershy who had a skeptical look on her face.
"What's wrong, Flutters?" Rainbow frowned at the yellow human. Her friends looked at her as well, concerned, except for Monique.
"It's about Virin..." The shy human whispered. "I think, that he has to go away." She had a whisper again, but not low so they couldn't hear her.
"Why?" Sunset inquired with sharpness, which only made the yellow human to wince at the tone. "He has done nothing wrong, Fluttershy...well, except for attacking the military. But, why do you wish for him to go away? He has saved us from that T. Rex two months ago. Isn't that enough?"
"Obviously not." Monique responded for Fluttershy. "And, I agree with her. He has to be destroyed."
"But why?" Sunset raised her voice. "He hasn't done anything wrong yet! He has saved us from Xeisan, Brandrun, Kelbas, and many other kind of monsters. Wasn't that enough?!"
"No." Monique answered simple and coldly. "While I agree he hasn't done anything wrong, he still is a danger and threat to humankind."
"He's not!"
"He's too."
"Not!"
"Too."
"Stop it!" Riley suddenly shouted, causing them to look at him as he held his temples. "You're giving me an headache!"
"Sorry..." Sunset said apologetically, glaring at Monique, who returned the glance. Sunset was going to get to the bottom of why the French female would want Virin to be destroyed.
As a splash was heard from the outside, Crait jumped at the sudden splash. Pinkie snickered at his jumpy attitude, feeling a bit better now. Though, she should choose what they should do with the dragon.
One: Have him here.
Two: Get him to save their butts each time a monster attacks, or be brave.
Three: Get him killed by the H.D.F military forces.
She just can't decide what to do with him. Although he had saved their lives from the mutated T. Rex's wrath, she can't shake the feeling off as to why Virin would be brawling with it while it was just some poor animal, just in mutation form. Was it because of that nuclear testing in the ocean? It could be, but she needed clarification to be done.
On the other hand, Monique was also a mystery to them as well to her. Why was she here? What was her purpose? Why is she intending to neutralize the mutants and monsters from all kind? All of these questions baffled the pink human. Although she had somehow helped Virin in saving them from the squids, it wasn't enough for them to trust her, and trust was the only thing they needed from her to befriended. However, she hasn't shown any sign of friendly attitude other than that "I want to neutralize him" expression all the time.
While she agreed with Monique in destroying the dragon, Pinkie couldn't help but feel sympathetic for the dragon's loss. Was he an atom reactor that had lost his family and friends, like Gojira, or was he just another animal that lived with ponies? These question were confusion to her. She also couldn't shake her feeling of his purpose here. Was he here to help them fight off those monsters? Or, was he here to destroy the military and the Earth people? Either way, he was a force of nature that was helping them, something she hasn't accepted yet.
While Princess Twilight was easy for them to befriend, along with this world's Twilight, Monique was the hardest for them to befriend. She was strict to her people's rules, as well as a kind of puppet to them.
Outside in the water, Virin swam underneath the surface. He was swimming towards a cavern, which goes into a larger cave inside. Curious, he decided to swim inside and take a look. As he swam, he found a pond in the opening of the large cave. He resurfaced to find a small ledge near the water, perfectly his size. Giving a small small, he decided to take a nap there, feeling lucky to have found this to take in the nights of this world.
In the facility, Sunset was scanning through the pages of a few documents of the Earth people. She was carefully examining them, not wanting to cause a virus or something like that to happen. Looking outside, she quickly noticed that her friend was nowhere in sight. He wasn't swimming or anything like that. No. It was like he just disappeared.
"Um, guys?" She called. "Virin's nowhere in the lake." This caught their attention, as they walked up to her.
"Where is he?" Rarity frowned, looking at the water. She was concerned what had happened to him. Was he gone again? Or did he fled from their bickering?
"Obviously," Monique said, "He has been hiding under the water all the time. He must have had found a cavern of some sort."
"You think so?" Sunset inquired the female French, who nodded sharply. The light amber girl turned to Crait, who was confused by her stare.
"What?"
"Send A.N.G.I.L down there." Sunset ordered him. "We must find him."
"But, A.N.G.I.L isn't done yet." Crait protested, raising his arms up in the robot's defense. "I still have to reprogram his circuits so they're completed."
Sunset sighed, looking back towards the water. She was obviously concerned for her friend. What was he thinking? He knows that he'll just worry her like how she did when the military attacked him with their missiles and weaponry. She was disgusted with the military when they had arrived and "killed" Virin, only to find out that he survived, which was lucky for both him and her.
Suddenly, her phone rang. She took it out and talked to the person that sent her an emergency. "Alright. We'll be there." She put the phone back into her pocket. Sunset looked at her friends, who looked at her. "There's some things going on in France. We'd better check it out." Monique perked up at this. At her home? Now? She gritted her teeth, clenching her eyes shut as she inhaled a deep breath and exhaled.
"Well, since it is happening at my home," Monique started, getting their attention. "We'll do things my way."
"Hold up the horses!" Riley raised his arms up, as though in self-defense. "This is L.R.D business. We're doing it together, not by separate each other from doing one's own thing!"
"And, if I may ask," Monique glanced at him. "What kind of business are we talking about, huh?"
"Monster hunting, but not in the way you're doing it." Riley replied, rubbing the back of his neck. Monique sighed, playing along until she gets home.
From under the water, in the cavern, Virin opened his right eye as he sensed his friends leaving for France. Whatever France was, he was going to follow them no matter what.
Getting up and about, Virin jumped into the water, swimming just right behind the L.R.D Seeker as it sailed towards its new destination: France.
Sailing towards their destination, Sunset and the others talked amongst themselves, thinking on what could had happened to Monique's home. Was there a monster attack, or an mutation that had attacked them? Either way, they were going to find out once they get there.
Fluttershy cowered at the back as she let out a very low whimper. Why did she had to tag along? What was her purpose on this mission of theirs? But, she tagged along with Spike anyways. The dog was wagging his tail back and forth happily, gaining a few chuckles from his friends. The dog was standing with his friend Twilight, who was looking out to the sea, thinking back to her previous experience with the ocean.
"What's wrong, Twi?" Spike whispered. "Afraid of the ocean?" She gave him a small nod in response. "C'mon. Don't be scared. We're all here for you, remember? So, everything's going to be just fine." Twilight let out a small sigh, not going to distract her friends from their work.
"Hey! There it is!" Riley called out, luckily for Twilight. She walked up to them as the A.N.G.I.L hacker pointed to their destination. "New France! We made it!"
"Yes, indeed." Sunset smiled anxiously. "Let's get to the shore at the beach, then we'll take a walk up to town." Riley nodded and drove the boat to the shore at the beach as told.
After getting their supplies ready, the group of ten walked out and jumped down to the nice, cool sand of the beach. Twilight caught Spike as he jumped into her arms, giving her a lick for the catch. As they walked on the soft sand, Sunset and Monique couldn't help but give a small smile. They were finally in France, the latter's home. Sunset couldn't help but admire the scenario of the terrain as they walked through the forest to a small town. There were a few branches on the ground with vines on them, but that didn't matter to them.
As a town came into view, the group stopped as they stared at the state of the farm nearby. No seeds were growing in the farm, which was a mystery to them. Why would a farm with no seeds still be here? That didn't matter, as they walked again until a France man drove his car up to them.
"Excuse me," Monique started in her French accent, talking to the man. "But, we're here to investigate strange occurring going on here. Can you tell us what had happened?"
"It was terrible." The man replied in a thick French accent. "A giant worm pierced through the ground from under us. It was El Gigantis. Better leave, or you will murder your lives!" He drove away from the group, getting away as far as possible.
"What did he say, Monique?" Sunset inquired in confusion, unable to understand their conversation.
"It was a giant worm that was responsible for this." Monique answered gravely. "I think its name was El Gigantis. A mutated worm species that was filled with radiation from nuclear testing, like that T. Rex from two months ago."
"You sure?" Sunset asked.
"absolutely." Monique confirmed. She had just confirmed that an giant worm is on the loose in New France, something Sunset approved of, but in a strict way as she looked at Crait again, who had an confused expression again.
"What?" He asked in confusion.
"Is A.N.G.I.L ready?"
"It's something like that, he's fully ready." Crait confirmed. "I had taken my time with him while we sailed from the lab to here."
"That's what I like to hear." Sunset gave a smile of approval. "Get the 'bot, and we'll search for the giant worm."
"You mean..." Crait started, feeling a bit worried. "Right when I get back with A.N.G.I.L?"
"Yes." A sigh escaped the scientist's lips. "Don't worry. We'll sort things out quickly."
"I hope so." Crait said lowly in a whisper, turning around and walked back to the boat where he had left the robot behind. As Crait walked to the beach, he felt the sudden nerve of uneasiness as he walked up to the robot. He had just finished repairing A.N.G.I.L, and now he had to be used again. It was what had worried him. What if Riley decides to reprogram it again, and leave it afterward to him to re-reprogram the bot? This was truly frustrating for the scientist, as he wasn't ready to get used having the robot with him all the time, but with Sunset's strict "rules", he has to.
As Crait turned the robot on, it started making funny noises.
"Hey there, sonny." A.N.G.I.L greeted. "What do we have for dinner?" Crait sighed as he walked back to the others, with the robot following him.
Note to self, Crait thought. Never let that hacker mess with A.N.G.I.L's programming.
As Crait walked up the path of the forest to the town, he noticed that Monique was waiting for him, and had her arms crossed as she stared at the scientist.
"About time you showed up." She grumbled.
"Sorry." Crait rubbed the back of his neck with an arm. The two walked up to their comrades as they waited for them to return.
"Did you get the robot?" Sunset inquired, looking at the scientist.
In answer, A.N.G.I.L replied with his funny voice, "Hey there, what do we have for dinner?" A laugh escaped the blue human's mouth.
"It's not funny." Crait said grumpily as he glared at Rainbow.
"Well, it was a little funny." Rainbow snickered a bit, giving a snort right after. Crait sighed in depression as he continued to glare at the blue human, who smirked suddenly. Crait was afraid of her sudden smirk, sighing as he started to follow the walking group of unlikely friends.
Crait was in thought while he walked with his comrades. Should he be able to make it this far with them? Or stay at the lab and be left behind? That was some of the reasons he felt depressed about for today.
As the group walked, they soon find a few, rather large, holes in the ground. They knelt down as they examined the holes one by one.
"Hm." Sunset hummed as she examined her hole. "It seems that, whatever has caused these holes, appears to be a huge creature."
"I bet, that it was this El Gigantis, who did it." Monique jumped to the conclusion, eyeing the hole Sunset was examining with suspicious eyes.
"Now, let's not just jump to that conclusion." Rarity shook her head in despair. "We won't know until we finds out that it did this."
"I agree with Rarity." Rainbow added. "Let's not jump straight to that conclusion, until we have proof."
"Well, excuse me," Monique said idly and a bit coldly. "But, we're in my homeland, and we're doing things my way. So, if any of you have questions, don't make me answer them. Got it?"
Fluttershy, who was about to raise her hand, let it slid down as soon as she started to raise it as she heard Monique. The yellow human was a bit worried. What if the creature were to attack them now, while they stand near a hole? They could fall into it when an earthquake might strike.
"Well, either way," Sunset started. "We'd better check it out further." She then noticed some purple flowers. "Hello. What do we have here?" She knelt down again as she touched one of the purple flowers, which immediately crumbled at the touch. "I see."
"What?" Pinkie frowned, kneeling down as well. "What do you see?"
"Not by seeing, Pinkie." Sunset recoiled her hand from the crumbled flower. "But by touch. These flowers has a fresh soil, the most fresh I've ever seen." She stood up. "Prepare to get back to the town, after we get the worm out." The others nodded, getting their flamethrowers out as they set the hole ablaze.
Suddenly, the earth shook violently, causing the group to fall on the ground by the force of the earthquake. A giant, blue worm sprung up from the burned hole, roaring out in anger.
After had lured it to the surface, the group ran for the hills, passing through the forest as they made their way towards the beach.
As the giant worm neared the group, a sudden fierce roar caught their attention. Turning to the left, the worm saw a fifty-five meters tall dragon that had an enraged expression, as though ready to fight.
"What's he doing here?" Crait shouted to the group as he saw their "friend".
"What does it look like?!" Riley questioned, before cheering for the dragon. The dragon charged at the worm, knocking it down to the ground, before rolling on the ground as they landed. The giant worm landed on the dragon as it sprung up with its carnivorous teeth ready. Virin, however, saw it coming, tail slapping into its side, knocking it to the cliff nearby.
"Virin traveled thousands of miles around the globe...to protect me." Sunset finally realized.
Rarity huffed. "Give yourself all the credit, why don't you?"
The dragon charged at the worm again, headbutting into its side, knocking it back as it tried to get up. The giant worm tried to dig into the ground, but Virin held onto its tail as it was almost down into its hole. Coming up to the surface, the worm finally shook the dragon off as it landed on the ground near the cliff, before standing up as it let loose a fireball attack at the worm, who burrowed in the ground again.
Cautiously, Virin walked up to the hole where the worm had dug down. As he let out a growl, the earth shook violently, causing the dragon to fall on all four as he steadied himself from the earthquake. Coming up from the hole behind the dragon, the worm bit onto the tail, causing the dragon to let out an annoyed roar of pain. Looking back at the worm, he had an annoyed expression as he tried to shake the worm off of his tail.
"The worm has hung onto his tail." Sunset noted, seeing the battle happening before her eyes. They then heard bullets of stone being fired from above them. They looked up and saw the French military firing at the two giants. Three ropes came down to the group, who proceeded by climbing up.
The men continued to fire at the giants, who ignored their bullets and cannonballs, continuing their battle. Virin knocked the worm down by ramming into its side, sending it across the ground. The worm got up and charged at the dragon, who tail slapped it into its side as it came towards the cliff.
"Tell the men to seize their fire." Sunset ordered Monique. "You're the only one who can understand them."
"Ladies and gentlemen, stand aside." The general of the men walked up to them. Sunset walked up to him.
"General, your fire isn't going to work." She reminded him. "They will only enrage the monsters even more." She inwardly flinched at calling her friend a "monster".
The general, however, weren't the least concerned. "Prepare to fire...the missile!" Grabbing the blanket covering a cannon, the group of ten silently gasped at seeing the missile.
Crait leaned close to the light amber girl. "Sunset, I've heard about that missile. It's said to cause sleepiness to the creatures hit by it. Something biologically, to be in fact."
Sunset lowly gasped at the news.
"Prepare..."
"NO!" Sunset cried out.
"...Fire!" The man holding the controller pushed the red button, as the missile was launched into the air. The missile got just right above the fighting monsters, before descending with green smoke coming from its composure. The fighting monsters suddenly stopped in their battle as the giant worm fell to the ground, moaning in pain as it slightly grow in height as it burrowed into the ground, fleeing from the scene.
Virin looked sleepy as he rubbed his eyes as he moaned in a sleepy noise.
"What's happening to him?" Fluttershy dared to ask in worry.
"It was the smoke." Crait realized in shock. "It caused him to suddenly feel sleepy." The yellow human gasped as they watched the dragon walking to the cliffside, scratching the cliff as he walked with his head in the wall. Virin roared out in a moaning noise, rubbing his eyes as he let out another moaning roar. He continued to rub his eyes as he laid into the water, going to the bottom of the ocean.
"NO!!" Sunset cried out helplessly. She couldn't believe it. The French military had used a biological chemical to make her friend fall in the water. She gritted her teeth before taking a deep breath to calm down. She couldn't take it with these guys. They had no right to cause her friend to fall "ill".
The general laughed as he saw the beast's body going to the bottom of the ocean, while still "ill". He was happy to finally getting rid of that damn dragon, which he should tell the other militaries about.
The group of ten was shocked and worried for their new friend. Was he going to die with that chemical biological weapon? It was truly a shocker to them that the military would use one of those weapons against their firend, which made them grit their teeth in anger as they walked away from the scene, going to their boat as the military's soldiers watched them leaving.
As the group made their way towards the boat, each of them was in thought.
Monique was angry by the fact that her own military friends would be so...cruel to their comrade as he laid at the bottom of the ocean. She was going to make it up for him, by saving him from that chemical biological weapon with the scientist's help, going as far to save him as possible.
Pinkie was also angry at them for making her new friend ill with their weapon. He hadn't done anything to them, but protect the group of friends that had happened to watch the entire battle until they interrupted it with their fire. That was what had made her angry. She was going to save him no matter what.
Sunset was in deep thought as they reached the boat. Was he really going to die with that weapon being used on him? Or will he be able to live when they're going to save him from that chemical weapon? Either way, they were not going to tolerate the military for using that cruel weapon on her best friend.
Twilight and Spike looked at Sunset in worry. She was in deep thought, they could tell. But, they could also see that she had gritted her teeth as they reached the boat. Was Virin going to die? They hope not, as it was him who had saved their city many times from different monsters as he had arrived in the world. He was the true saviour of the world than the military of Humanity Defense Forces, who were like villains to him.
As they got up to the boat, Crait was worried for the dragon. Wait, worried? He was the one who had first attacked the military and was in conflict with them the whole time. So, shouldn't he be the least concerned for the dragon? But, here he was. Worried for the drake as it laid at the bottom of the ocean, slowly dying from that biological weapon. Crait was angry at the military for using such a dangerous weapon. Why would they be using it? They know that those kind of weapons were illegal in some kind of way. But, here they were, using it anyway without knowing the danger it may lay on a mere creature.
"Sunset?" Crait hesitated to ask her. The light amber girl turned to him. "I've been thinking. Should I make an antidote to your friend, while you collect those purple flowers that we've found near the worm's holes? I can do it, but only if you want me to. I may be the least concerned for that dragon, but now I'm not sure what to do when they used that weapon on him."
"I would like that, Crait." Sunset nodded in approval. "You may create an antidote to my friend after we've collected enough flowers so you can make one. Think you're up for it?" She had a frown on her face, staring deep into the scientist's eyes, making him feel a bit uneasy.
"Absolutely not." Crait replied. "But, I've got to try and see if I can make one, just for the sake of saving your "friend"." He was really going to hate saving the dragon, but he gotta try and see if he can at least help it while the military isn't looking at the beach. While he was unsure about this, he at least gotta try to make the antidote, using that as an excuse to be on the team as he was one of them.
Sunset nodded at his skeptical expression. She was going to like this guy. She and the others went out to the beach, getting ready to save the dragon from dying.
"Sunset?" Riley started, gaining her attention. "If you want, then me and Monique will gather the samples so Crait can make he antidote. He'll need everything in order to make the antidote."
The girl nodded in approval, looking at a serious Monique. "Think you're up for it?"
"Absolutely." Monique nodded sharply, getting into serious business. She was going to help them save the dragon, no matter what happens if the antidote doesn't work, then she'll have to make arrangements with her superiors.
Sunset gave another nod, smiling in happiness that her friends would do so much to help her friend in his most time of need.
As everyone got into their own things, with Sunset's group going to gather the flowers while Monique's group gather the samples, Crait was now alone in thoughts.
Was it wise to be left alone with A.N.G.I.L? The bot, who was making funny noises like "Hey there, sonny, should we go out on a date?", and "It's really a nice day of the park, wouldn't you agree, son?".
Crait sighed exaggerated as he watched the robot going back inside the bunker as he followed after. He was really going to hate Riley for messing with A.N.G.I.L's programming. They'll come back, he just know it.
With Sunset's group...
After coming to a new set of holes, Sunset's group was gathering the flowers inside the bags that they had with them. As the flowers were all but gone, the group made a run for the hills as the ground started to shake violently.
With Monique and Riley...
Walking through the forest to the military base, Monique and Riley sneaked along the grass as they made their way towards the top of the ledge as they watched a car driving inside the base.
"How do we get inside?" Riley whispered to Monique, going low to the ground as much as possible so he wouldn't be seen.
"Let's see..." Monique smirked as a plan was formed in her head. "Let us play that we're a couple that wants to see the general, but in reality, trying to take the samples. What do you say?" Riley smiled in eagerness as they made their way down from the ledge, without being spotted as they got into a car.
As the car the duo was inside went to the gate, a soldier came forward to the car with a hand holding up.ยจ
"Halt!" The car stopped as the soldier walked towards the driver's seat. "What is your prosperity to drive here?"
"We're here to see the general, if I may politely ask permission." Monique said in a wifely voice, draping an arm around Riley's neck as she continued, "We're a couple that were summoned by him."
The soldier hummed. "Hm. You may enter." He stood to the side, as the car drove inside the base.
Riley looked back at his seat. "Now, I didn't know you were this good." He looked back at Monique with a soft smile. "What was that for? Asking permission to see the general?"
"I had to play along, so we didn't get caught." Monique reminded him harshly. She stopped the car near the base, as the soldiers went inside the bunker as the "couple" went out of the car, not being spotted as they got inside the very bunker the two soldiers went inside earlier.
As the duo made their way towards the door where the samples was, Monique turned to her friend. "Stay guard to the door. Don't do anything heroically." She got inside, as Riley smiled knowingly.
Inside the sample room, Monique was holding a refrigerator door as a shout was heard. She quickly took two or three samples into the bag she had on the belt, closing the refrigerator door as she made outside.
Either two or three soldiers surrounded Riley as he held his arms up in surrender. The soldiers turned to Monique, who gave a smile as the soldiers tried to get her. However, with her swift movements, she quickly dispatched the guards as she bind them with a rope and keeping their mouths shut with papers.
"Look at the dogs I captured." Monique smiled deviously before closing the door to the room the three soldiers were inside. She turned to Riley, giving him the samples. "If one drop comes in contact with your skin, it will kill you." The duo walked outside, when an alarm triggered, causing them to go into a container instead of their car that they drove to get inside with.
"After them! Take back the samples!" The general shouted as they gave pursuit. The duo finally dispatched the dirt that were on the container, causing the soldiers to ram into it as the general were sent flying into the dirt headfirst.
"YEW-HA!" Riley cheered loudly. "Nice one, pal." The duo drove to the beach, where the others of the gang were waiting for them.
Riley and Monique got outside of the container, with the former holding up the samples, showing them that they got it. Sunset smiled pleasantry as they made their way towards the boat's lab, where Crait was waiting their arrival.
As the group got inside the bunker, they noticed that A.N.G.I.L wasn't with Criat as he had a depressed expression on his face, looking grimly as he watched them with a sad smile.
"What's wrong, darling?" Rarity frowned.
"It's A.N.G.I.L." Crait replied, frowning as he explained his story. "When I should go check on Virin, whom is now at the sea's surface, A.N.G.I.L was destroyed by his teeth as I managed to get the important part of the 'bot safely out when the rest were destroyed." He let out a sad sigh, looking at the monitor that showed Virin laying on the sea's surface, slowly breathing as his heart beat was slowly going away.
"Let's not worry about that." Sunset called out. "We got the ingredients that you wanted, so you can make the antidote." He took the bag of flowers from Pinkie, who allowed him to use it, and took the samples from Riley, who also allowed him to take it.
"We'll wait for the worm," Sunset called out, gaining a nod from the scientist. As the group of nine left, Crait began working on the antidote as he worked with the machines to make it. He pressed a button of one of the machines where the liquid of the samples was, before it got into a container as he shook the container as he walked up to a medicine gun, putting the container underneath it.
"Nice, Virin." Crait was shaking. "Say "ar"." The monitor suddenly beeped, which indicated him to look at it with worry. "NO!!" He quickly ran out of the lab, going onto a smaller boat as he sailed towards the dragon. "It's official. I've lost my mind." He muttered.
As he looked at the unconscious Virin, he muttered, "Stop staring at me like that..." He got up inside the mouth of the dragon, shaking violently as he aimed at the throat inside Virin's mouth. "W-well, medicine is supposed to tast bad. N-No hard feelings, okay?" He fired the medicine, which exploded at it touched the tongue of the drake, as he started to lift himself up. Crait was lucky; he fell into the small boat he sailed to get there. Virin now stood up, tall and mighty, as he gave a growl of appreciation to the scientist.
"Y-You're welcome." Crait shakingly accepted the growl. Virin heard his friends' screams as he looked at the giant worm, getting ready for devouring them. Virin sprung into action, knocking the worm back as Riley cheered for him.
"No one messes with the Big Guy!" Riley cheered. Virin and the giant worm fought ferociously, with neither of them giving an inch. Virin tail slapped into the worm's side, sending it down to the beach, with the dragon jumping down as he followed it.
The giant worm bit onto Virin's tail, getting a roar of annoyance and pain at the same time. Virin kicked into the worm's side, getting it off as he rammed into the worm, sending it into the cliffside.
Up on the top of the cliff, the group of nine cheered for the dragon as it battled the worm. Virin rammed into the worm's side again, sending it into the cliffside once again, before tail slapping into its side. The worm roared, biting onto the dragon's tail, earning a roar of annoyance again as the drake glared at the worm.
From up above, bullets of fire was heard. The monsters, however, ignored them entirely. From the corner of his eyes, Virin saw the same missile as before when the military first used it on him and the worm, with the latter gaining more height.
"This traitor and her friends will no longer be tolerated." The general said as he watched the group of nine struggle against his men's grip. He pulled the controllers, aiming straight at the two giants' fight.
"You don't understand!" Sunset struggled. "Your bio-weapon, it's only FEEDING that thing!"
"SILENCE!" The general shouted angrily to the light amber girl. Monique got free of the two soldiers' grip, and ran for the controllers of the missile, before getting caught again. Riley gritted his teeth, before getting free of the soldiers' grip as he ran to grab a rock.
"Riley!" Monique shouted. "Don't do anything stupid!" However, to her surprise, he threw a rock at the controllers, as the missile was now aiming at nothing but the blue sky, launching into the sky. The general cursed with bad words in his French language, which was unable to be understanding to the group.
Hearing a roar of fury, the general, his soldiers, and the group looked at the battle going on. Virin fired his blue warming breath at the worm, while rounding the large rock he walked around, minimizing the worm as it grew back into a tiny worm. Virin sniffed it, before walking away. The little worm burrowed into the ground, fleeing from the scene.
Walking up to the soldiers, Virin gave a hostile roar as the soldiers ran for the hills, grabbing their fallen general as he laid unconscious on the ground. Riley cheered again.
"Never bet against the Big Guy!" He cheered, as Virin walked back into the ocean, laying dormant to it once again.
"There's definitely something I want to talk to my Father about this when we get home." Sunset noted as the group agreed as they walked back down to the beach, being greeted by Crait. "Nice one, Crait. Thanks for helping my friend."
"What can I say?" Crait replied proudly. "I'm a changed man. With everything now going back to normal, there's nothing that can scare this changed scientist. Not even a blink." From behind him, Virin resurfaced as he let out a roar, frightening Crait as he blinked.
"Hey, guys." Rarity called out, giving a blink. "He just blinked." The group laughed at the "changed" scientist, who just grumbled in response.
Author's Note
Finally got this chapter out. This was a bit challenging, but I made it. And right when the new year arrived.
How'd you like the pacing I did for these three chapters? Was it good or bad? Let me know in the comments.
Virin the Series: Equestria Girls
Episode 4: The Dragon vs. The Velociraptor
In the dark of the night, inside an alleyway, a tall man was slowly making his way towards the end of the alley. In the middle of the night, he was walking in an rather dark alley. It being so dark, that you can't see a thing in it, or where he was going.
Lurking in the shadows, a creature from the prehistoric times, was slowly making its way towards its prey. It was so dark, that it can't be seen by the eye.
The man was shivering, his breathing was becoming heavy. He was being watched. Slowly turning around, he let out an eerie scream as the shadow lunged onto him, clawing his face as it began eating on its prey, devouring the man's flesh.
At the lab...
Two weeks has passed, and everything has not calmed yet. Twilight and Rarity was in conflict whether or not Virin should be here. Was he an atom reactor that will intend to destroy the world? Or was he just an animal with superhuman powers? Either way, they couldn't decide what to do with him.
After the way he saved them from that giant worm, they were thankful that he didn't try to "eat" them, but merely laid dormant back into the seas. He was truly a strange dragon. Despite him being a fiery one, he could swim. That sure was confusing to them. What would he do? Continue his battles with different monsters and mutations? Or, will he try and destroy all the cities in one night, like how Gojira did it with Tokyo? All these questions baffled them so much, that they were conflicted with him.
Sunset were so quick to decide to have him here. That was confusing them. Wasn't he a threat to humans, like how the militaries describe it? However, she tried to get rid of the very thoughts of having them continue their fight with the dragons. The War Between Man and Dragon was still going on, with how Virin being the last of the dragons and the humans was trying to get rid of him. Maybe he should had just been in this Equestria world of his, and stay there all the while.
But, here he was. Being a hero with helping them fighting the monsters and mutations. All of those heroic actions was what had made the conflict between the three to start with.
Out in the water, Virin swam happily in it. He was really enjoying being here, that's for sure. As he continued to swim, he decided to go back into his cave as he swam there. He found the same pond as he did two weeks ago, and laid on the ledge as he slept peacefully.
He was lucky that he had found this place two weeks ago. He was going to enjoy being in this world all the time he's fighting against the monsters of all kind. He had defeated two monsters, with one of them being an mutation from nuclear testing.
These nuclear testing was happening all around the world, as though they were starting a third world war. However, the super powers' government weren't going to let that happen, since there's a war already happening since thousands of years ago.
Sunset was typing on the computer, looking through the site she was on. As she looked closely, she could see that she found what she searched for. An velociraptor was on the loose, despite the dinosaurs had been extinct for millions of years. From last night, she had heard an eerie scream until it was silenced as something had silent the man responsible for the scream.
It was a mystery as to why an velociraptor would be on the loose. Was it an mutation from nuclear radiation? Or did it survive the extinction era of the dinosaurs' time? Either baffled her so much, that her head would explode whenever she was thinking about the velociaptor.
After seeing the news on the skeleton of a human, Sunset shivered at just thinking of what had happened to that man. Was the velociraptor responsible for it? It could be. She thought that nothing like a mutated velociraptor would be able to survive a giant meteorite. But, somehow, this one did indeed survive the meteor from sixty five millions years ago. That was impossible. No creature could be able to survive an impact like that.
Hearing a splash coming out outside, Crait jumped as Pinkie snickered at his jumpy personality whenever Virin made a splash. She found it funny to watch.
"It's not funny..." Crait mumbled, glaring at the pink human, who whistled innocently at his glare sent her way. The scientist sighed in exasperation, before going back to work on A.N.G.I.L's reprogramming. Riley had reprogrammed it once again, making sure it sounded like the scientist's mother whenever the scientist made a move. This truly was frustrating for Crait. He just needs to keep an eye on him, to make sure he doesn't mess with the robot's circuits or programming.
Twilight was sitting on a chair, sighing as she watched the dragon swim around in the lake. He was sometimes frightening, that's for sure. But, whenever he aids them in their meeting with monsters, he would save them. She should be thankful for that, shouldn't she? But, how come she's not smiling at the gesture of him saving them? That was something entirely different. He'll need to gain her trust so she can be thankful for him rescuing them when the monsters and mutations should strike.
Rarity was the same. She was generously enough to forgive him one time, but two times in a row? That was not what she had expected from him. She should be able to thank him in the future, if he's still going to be here and not in the pony world. However, while she had forgiven him, she still hasn't his trust for saving them from both that mutated T. Rex and the giant worm. She was more thankful for the military into believing they got rid of him, but she was also worried for whenever the military shows up, bad things happen. Like, Virin attacks the military, and destroy most of their equipment, while the military fights back. It sure looks like they were having a war between the two.
Which was true, to be in fact. While the group of ten doesn't know, is that the prolonged war between man and dragon was still going on. The military had been searching for the last dragon for many years, but they had finally found it. And what did they find? An atom dragon that could spit an atomic beam out of his mouth, just like Gojira. They were surprised that the dragon would had the same power as the giant monster, but they didn't know that the dragon had a strong prowess compared to his atomic breath beam. The many battles against ten monsters in a row proved that he were the stronger of the two, which quickly made the military to go into action.
He was a threat to humankind, which the ponies disagreed as he had saved their worlds many times before. From darkness, to giant monsters. The ponies had protected the dragon for eighteen years while it grew in power and strength, something the military didn't know a thing about. The dragon had been a mystery to the Earth people for so long, that he was growing stronger by the minute. They were worried about that. What if he surpasses even the world creation gods? Or their superior? He was a threat to everyone, which the ponies wasn't sure about.
Twilight sighed, looking at the dragon from the window. He was swimming happily, she must admit. However, he was unaware that two of his human friends was in conflict. But, somehow, he sensed it from afar.
Sunset was looking at the skeleton in disgust. Why would the velociraptor leave the skeleton behind? She knows that carnivorous dinosaurs wouldn't leave a trace behind, but this one did.
Looking at the lavender human, Sunset could clearly see the depressed expression on her face.
"Is something the matter, Twilight?" She wondered, gaining her attention.
"It's just about Virin..." Twilight whispered, but Monique and the others heard her, and looked at her in confusion.
"What about him?" Riley frowned slightly.
"I don't think that he should be here now, but that may be just my guts telling me that." Twilight replied. Monique gave her a nod.
"Aye. I think he must be neutralized now." The French female agreed with the lavender girl. Sunset, though, jumped to defend the dragon's innocents.
"You can't do that!" The light amber girl insisted. "He has saved us from that giant worm, and now you would have him neutralized? How kind of a person would you be if you weren't on the team?"
"I may be on the team, "Monique said, "But that doesn't mean that I can't follow my people's orders. They're strict to have that dragon destroyed."
"I can't believe you..." Sunset gritted her teeth as she clenched her eyes shut to take in a deep breath to calm down. "For a while, I thought you were our friend."
"I am your friend." Monique defended herself. "I just follows my orders from mu superiors. Isn't that enough for me to be your friend?"
"Whether or not you follow your people's orders," Sunset dared. "You can't just neutralize an harmless dragon that defends only his territory, now would you?"
Monique and Sunset now had a glaring contest, neither of them backing down. From outside, Virin heard the commotion and swam down to his lair, in order to take in all of this "neutralize" things from that France person. Sighing as he laid on the ledge near the pond, he closed his eyes as he took a nap.
As he slept, Sunset and Monique's glaring contest ended in a draw, as neither of them had won it. As they looked at where the dragon once stood, they saw he weren't on the surface of the water, as though he was gone.
"Where is he?" Sunset frowned as she stood beside Riley as he also looked at the water, frowning in slight confusion.
"Like before," Monique replied. "He has obviously found a cave to hide in. He's an smart dragon, I have to admit."
Sunset frowned again, having heard the words of Monique. She was worried if Virin would even come out of this cave of his. Would he be it when they're in danger or what? It seems very likely. She means, they had detected a creature on the monitor of the boat two weeks ago when they sailed to New France.
As she continued to look at the water where the dragon hid in, she was in thought about something. Was he really going to come out when they were in danger? She hopes so, because they were best friends. So, it would be very likely he would go after them.
As Sunset was thinking, her phone suddenly rang. She took it out and heard what the person would have to say in the matter.
"Hey, Worm-Girl." Colonel Nick Hoskins called through the phone. "Can you take your team to us at Sandy Point for a bit? It's important."
"Alright. We'll be there." Sunset answered him as the phone stopped working. "Prepare to move out. Sandy Point needs to see us for a moment."
"Sandy Point?" Rarity frowned.
"Yes." Sunset nodded. "Somehow, we're allowed to go into a restricted area. But, I wonder why." She was obviously confused. What was it that Nick wanted to talk about? Was it about last night? It seems to be.
Near Sandy Point...
Driving into the Sandy Point, Sunset was in deep thought. What was it that Nick wanted to talk about? It seemed important, as he described it. It couldn't had been of that dinosaur on the loose, could it? It could be. She means, she has had heard an eerie scream, and she bet that the Colonel had also heard it. So, if they heard the same scream, they must have had the same though on the same mind.
Coming to a stop in front of a soldier, the soldier lifted a flat hand. "Halt!"
"We're here to see Colonel Nick Hoskins." Sunset told the man, who hummed in thought before nodding.
"You may enter." Sunset thanked him and drove into Sandy Point. The group of ten proceeded to enter the restricted area, where the soldiers were working. They walked around, talked amongst each other, and stood guard of the place.
Going inside a tent where two guards was standing, Nick Hoskins was standing with his back turned to the group as he turned around to face them.
"Glad you could come." Nick smiled a little, having a serious expression on his face.
"We're glad we could come, too." Sunset nodded as the others stood back, letting them speak to one another. "But, why would you let us in a restricted area?"
Nick sighed. "Well, Worm-Girl, it's something about an velociraptor on the loose. We've tried to detect its next location, but couldn't find a trace where it could possibly be hiding. So, my best guess is, why not let your group cooperate with us? I bet that, together, we could bring that mutation down."
"You think it's an mutation?" Sunset asked suspiciously.
"What else could have possibly survived an era of extinction?" Nick theorized. "The Velociraptor was hunting in its new hunting grounds. My soldiers tried to kill it, but they themselves were killed in a flash by the velociraptor. What we needed was your cooperative and that dragon pet of yours, Sunset."
"Look," Sunset sighed. "Virin's not my pet, nor is he a weapon. He's an living organism that only hunts its prey upon its skills. We had analyzed that he can bring down something as big as an T. Rex with his own fighting technique. The only thing that we don't understand, was his transformation into a giant dragon."
"Although I don't get what you're saying," Nick rubbed the back of his neck. "I understand your concern for his well-being. But, if you don't want to cooperate, we understand. However, unless you do cooperate, we would leave Virin alone for the time being. What do you say?"
Sunset rubbed her chin carefully. If she do decide to cooperate with the military, they would leave her friend alone. What if she doesn't cooperate? Would they still be on his tail and continue their war with him? Although he was the last of the dragons, he's still just an harmless organism that only grow in power to protect his territories. Alright, she has thought over it.
Nodding, she said, "Alright. Why not? We'll cooperate with you guys. But, only on one condition."
"And what's that?" Nick wondered.
Sunset replied, "If you do decide to leave Virin alone, and when we neutralize all the monsters and mutations together, you have to promise to stop this dreadful war with him. There is no need for war in a peaceful world."
"If you say this world is peaceful," Nick rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Then, I don't see the reason why we shouldn't be able to protect it from aliens and other space monkeys that could possibly be out there. There is other monsters out in space, like those Gigan and King Ghidorah dudes from another realm."
"We know." Sunset said, before they heard a surprised scream. They all went out of the tent, to see Virin standing in front of the many soldiers of Sandy Point.
Virin was here. But how? Wasn't he inside his cave that Monique was talking about? Sunset then realized something when Nick began to speak up to her.
"What's he doing here?" He asked as he frowned in confusion. "Seize your fire. He's not a threat for now." The men did as they were told, and held their guns down.
"Virin must had followed us here." Sunset realized.
"But why?" Nick frowned again. "Why would he be following you anywhere when he knows that we were only talking?"
"He must had sensed that we were leaving." Sunset responded, looking at the majestic form of Virin, as he stared into her eyes. "It's okay! They haven't done anything!" Virin let out a small growl and walked away to the ocean a few miles away.
Nick looked at her with unbelievable eyes. She could control Virin? That was something alright. But, he didn't know that Virin was giving him a cold glare as he continued his way to the ocean.
Sunset let out an exaggerated sigh, rubbing her temples as she shook her head. She could had sensed something moving underground when they were driving towards Sandy Point, but she didn't know that it was only Virin moving along the tunnels he dug as he had followed the group.
"Tell me, Worm-Girl," Nick began with sternness in his voice. "Why would Virin be following you everywhere around the globe? Was it to defend you from danger? Or was it simply because he wanted company whenever you were leaving from that facility of yours?"
"He just following us to defend us from creatures." Sunset replied with a shocked expression. "Why would you ask me such a thing?"
"Because," Nick started. "The U.S military might be onto something to get rid of him. Our own New Canterlot High military is there to defend him, but they know that we're a little group of troops that can't do anything to protect him. What I'm trying to say, is that we're going to defend him no matter what happens to him. He's like our protector of some sort."
Sunset blinked with uncertainty in her eyes. "There was some resistance with the France military two weeks ago." She mumbled lowly.
"Excuse me?" Nick frowned, looking at her. "Care to explain that, with the France military?"
"Well, I can tell you something that you may not know." Sunset carefully said, thinking back to what happened back then. "When we were attacked by a giant worm, the France military stepped in even though they knew that Virin was only trying to protect his friends. It also used some sort of bio-weapon on the creatures, knocking Virin into an open-eyed unconsciousness. However, thanks to our teamwork, we managed to stop their plans in getting rid of Virin."
"They used a bio-weapon?!" Nick asked with fury in his eyes. "I can't believe those guys. They know that bio-weapons are only to use in emergencies. They had gone beyond the limits to use them. How many did they try to use on the creatures?"
"At least two, to be in fact." Sunset responded. Nick gritted his teeth in anger, before taking a long breath to calm down.
"Thanks for sharing this infomation, Sunset." Nick thanked, getting her name right. "I will be sure to inform my superiors when we get back to New Canterlot High." Sunset nodded in understanding, happy to be of some help with this.
"Sir!" A soldier rushed up to his colonel, saluting as he stopped in front of the talking humans. "Excuse me for interrupting."
"It's fine." Nick said, nodding for the soldier to continue.
"Well," The soldier said, explaining to what he had heard. "I've heard that the velociraptor had made its next move, It's near a facility reactor near New Canterlot High and Manhattan. If we don't do something, then the workers will most likely be gone when we get there."
"Let's move out." Nick called out, with the soldier saluting before rushing off the scene. The colonel turned to the light amber girl. "Sunset, think you're up for your first task with the military?" The girl smiled knowingly, with Nick smiling in response as they walked with the others out to their cars.
At the facility reactor...
At the reactor facilities, a single shadow of a dinosaur was slowly making its way towards its prey. Looking at a group of people overlooking the blue water, the shadow was stalking them as they suddenly felt uneasy.
After having eaten the flesh of that man, the shadow of the velociraptor was tired of waiting in the shadows to the next one. It was also getting tired of waiting for an opponent worthy of its strength. Even after having been exposed to nuclear radiation, the raptor felt like the same as it did millions of years ago.
Hearing the sound of a car, which was strange for the shadowy dinosaur, there was many new people walking away from the strange vehicles. The people were Sunset, Nick Hoskins, Twilight, the dog Spike, Rarity, Rainbow, Riley, Applejack, Fluttershy, Crait and Monique.
Licking its teeth with excitement, the velociraptor waited for the perfect moment to strike. Unlike other dinosaurs or creatures, this velociraptor was intelligent. It waited for the perfect moment to strike its prey, waiting for their breath to become heavy enough. The moment the prey turned around, the raptor would strike before it could even let out a scream.
"Easy, folks," Nick started to reassure the frightening humans. "The creature would never be able to come forth, because we will do everything in our power to stop it. Even if it meant losing our lives."
That was it. The velociraptor lost its patience. It let out a ferocious roar, startling the humans as it leaped up on one the facilities, exposing its appearance and presence.
The velociraptor was way different than the rest of its kind. It had sharper teeth, enough to break bones of humans and
strong enough to break into the vehicles' motors, able to disable them. It had a red skin, with blue stripes all over its body. It had a longer tail. Its three claws on the feet were longer and sharper than a normal raptor's claws. Its arms' claws were the same as the feet claws, but more dangerous than the feet claws. Its eyes were an eerie yellow, glaring coldly at the group of humans assembled in the area. Its arms were also longer than a normal raptor's arms. This was definitely a mutated raptor, no doubt about it.
"A mutant!" Rarity shouted in surprise and fear, shaking violently as she backed away, Twilight did the same as she shook violently as well.
"No need to fear," A.N.G.I.L called out heroically. "Because I am here." The robot began to walk up to the raptor, before being violently destroyed by the raptor's sharp teeth, sending the head back towards Crait, who sighed in depression.
"Oh, A.N.G.I.L..." Crait whispered before backing away from the raptor as it began to walk closer to the scientist, clicking the ground with its third foot claw.
The raptor licked its teeth in a delightfully way, glad to get more flesh to eat. However, before it could leap on the scientist, a head of a dragon leaned down on its tail, throwing it away from the humans, whose breathing was becoming even more heavy.
"The beast's alive?" A man whispered to his group. "I thought the army killed the beast." As they looked at the battle, the dragon knocked the raptor down with its tail, sending it into a reactor facility. The raptor gritted its teeth and jumped onto Virin's face, blocking his vision.
The dragon tried to shake the raptor off, with little success. The dragon shoved the raptor away by whirling around, sending it to the ground. The raptor roared angrily and jumped onto the dragon's side, biting into the flesh, causing blood to drop down from the side as the raptor's teeth bit hard into the scales. The dragon roared in pain, before trying to reach the raptor's tail with his teeth, with difficult success. The raptor was thrown into the water, causing a large splash to happen.
The dragon jumped into the water, swimming towards the drowning raptor. The raptor, however, held its mouth closed as it began to swim away from the coming dragon, surprising him. It was a swimming race in the water, with the raptor in the lead. Virin was getting tired of this, swimming faster towards the raptor, who was surprised that the dragon would had been able to swim that quick.
The dragon bit onto the raptor's tail, throwing it onto the surface of the facilities. The humans back away from the raptor, scared of the battle. The raptor growled enraged at the resurfacing drake, who gave off his own growl.
The raptor roared furiously, waiting for the dragon to come up to the ledge. The dragon did, with the raptor jumping onto the side of the dragon, who tried to get it away by biting after it. The dragon bit onto its tail again, throwing it into the many reactors, while running after it, to stop it from coming further into the city. The raptor roared at the drake, its tail swung against the head of the beast, but he grabbed it as he noticed that he shouldn't try to use his blue warming breath. If he did, then the reactors might explode, and might kill his friends and the humans. Growling, Virin threw the tail of the raptor into an reactor, with the raptor's body following after as it was knocked out cold by the hard impact to the reactor.
Virin let out a seemingly victorious roar, until the raptor suddenly returned to consciousness as it roared, surprising him. The raptor leaped up into the air, before being hit by the tail of the dragon, sending it crashing into the ground, creating a crater. The raptor laid there, waiting for the beast to arrive to the crater. As the drake walked up to the edge of the crater, the raptor surprised it by jumping onto his face, clawing his neck and bit onto the middle of eyes, causing blood to drop to the ground. The dragon roared painfully, trying desperately to shake the raptor off, with difficult effort.
The raptor fell off of the face, staring at it with an emotionless expression, grinning wickedly as the dragon stood now on one knee. However, that didn't last long, as the regeneration ability of Virin came into effect, healing his wounds rather quick. This was unexpected to the raptor, as it didn't know that every wound it did, was slowly healing themselves. The raptor snarled with fury, leaping up to the dragon's face again, causing the dragon to stagger back in surprise.
From above the battle, three helicopters was flying just above the fighting creatures. The middle helicopter was aiming at the battling beasts, as though ready to fire.
"Locked on, sir." The pilot called through a mic. "May I proceed to fire?"
"Negative, pilot." Nick replied, not giving the command. "You'd rather set the whole place off?"
"Sir?" The pilot asked in surprise, before realizing the situation and place where they were at.
The raptor continued to bit into the dragon's hard scales, as though ready to tore it off. The dragon desperately managed to shake it off, getting down on one knee again as he panted heavily as the regeneration ability was working on his wounds. After the wounds were completely sealed off, and with the raptor roaring furiously, Virin smirked suddenly as he launched himself at the raptor, knocking it down to the ground as they wrestled with each other. The raptor tried its best to win the wrestling showdown, but the dragon beast was larger and easily knocked it sent the raptor away by a forcefully kick, sending it into another reactor facility.
The raptor roared in anger, running from the scene. However, Virin pursued his prey, biting onto the back of the raptor, and threw it across the ground, sending it into another reactor facility. The raptor stood up on both feet, snarling in outrage at the dragon, before roaring out in rage as it ran for the right leg. But, Virin predicted it, and kicked the raptor in the face, sending it into the same reactor facility as before. The raptor, however, didn't give up. It continued to run forward, while Virin kicked it away as the dragon beast was getting tired of all the kicking. The raptor stood on its feet, panting hard as did the dragon. The dragon lunged forward, grabbing the raptor with his mouth as he ran for the water. The people in the area retreated as the dragon jumped into the water, dragging the raptor with him to the bottom of the lake.
The raptor was struggling, its eyes was slowly becoming deaf. It roared, biting onto Virin's nose, causing him to lose his grip on the raptor. Freed, the raptor began to swim to the surface, but Virin pursued his prey, intending to drag it to the bottom of the lake again. The raptor, though, predicted with him swimming after it. It lunged at him in the water, something Virin couldn't manage to let out a shriek about, until the raptor hung onto his face as he swam to the surface, trying his best to shake the velociraptor off. Little effort was putted into it, and the raptor was thrown over to the humans' side of the lake, with them backing away in fear of the battling raptor and dragon beast. Virin was hurt; they were calling him a beast. His adoptive mother wouldn't be happy to hear about this when he one day returns to Equestria. After his battle with the raptor, he will give a telepathic link communication to her so he could speak with her while in this world, that'll what he'll do.
After getting up, the raptor roared furiously at the humans behind it, making them cower in fear as they backed away. Virin stepped in to save them from the raptor, grabbing its tail and threw it to the complete other side of the lake, away form the humans and his friends. With the raptor on the other side, Virin lunged himself at it, spreading his majestic wings and wrestled with the raptor as the two struggled for dominance on this side of the lake. As the dragon managed to get the upper hand in the wrestling, he threw the raptor into a new reactor facility, making a small crack to appear on it. Virin's eyes narrowed the raptor, before lunging himself at it again, before grabbing its tail and threw it across the ground. With the raptor on the ground, Virin let out a roar as the raptor suddenly lunged itself on his face, blocking his vision again. The dragon struggled to get the raptor off of him, to little effort being put in. The dragon shook the raptor off his face, throwing it on the ground again, before roaring at it with a ferocious roar.
The raptor, too, roared ferociously at the beast. It lunged at him, hanging onto his neck, and bit into its flesh, causing blood to drop on the ground. Virin roared in pain, trying to get the raptor off his neck as he tried to grab its tail. The raptor's tail was finally being grabbed onto again, with the dragon throwing the raptor across the ground once again. The raptor grunted in pain, sneering up at the large dragon, who snarled at the raptor.
Virin lunged himself at the raptor, throwing it into another reactor facility, knocking it out cold again. Hopefully, this time it'll stay out cold. However, with its mutated senses, the raptor was quickly up and about again, roaring at the dragon, who was surprised again. But, he made a sneer at the raptor, thinking to kill it before it could get up again.
Sunset and the group of humans watched the battle with fascinating and fearful eyes. This was an amazing fight. They had watched the entire thing, while still being alive from the raptor's bloodthirsty personality. Nick also watched the battle with fascinating eyes, however they switched to coldness in a fast rate, with sternness in them, too. If this battle continues, then they will be destroying the reactors piece by piece. He couldn't allow that.
Back at the battle, Virin bit down at the raptor's neck, throwing it into the same reactor facility as before. He swung his tail down at it, too, to make sure it stayed down. However, as soon as he lifted the tail, the raptor quickly bit onto it as he roared out in pain. Virin shook the raptor off his tail with a great force, sending it crashing down to the ground, creating a larger crater than the other one. The raptor stood on the ground, still conscious as it glared up at the larger creature as the dragon, too, glared down at it. They were going to finish this battle, now.
Shaking the rubble off, the raptor leaped up in the air as the tail of the dragon was swung against its side, sending it flying across the blue sky, getting out of sight. Virin let out an exaggerated sigh, glad to have finally finished this rather long battle.
Walking over to the humans, who was still fearful by his appearance, Sunset called up to him, "Go. Go. Before they start shooting." Virin swam back down to his dormant, getting out of sight as well, calming the humans.
"Should we fire where he swam off to, sir?" The pilot asked once again.
"Negative, pilot." Nick responded. "You wouldn't set the whole place off, now would you?"
"I guess not, sir." The pilots flew off the scene. The humans slowly walked away from the scene, too, as they walked back home.
"I hope that they would be able to forgive Virin." Sunset said to Nick, looking at the departed humans.
"I hope so, too." Nick nodded. "Now that he's not...our little secret." He looked back at the lake, where the dragon was long gone by now.
Author's Note
Now, before I start saying anything about this chapter, I would like to say thanks for the people who starts reading this story. I hope to continue writing on this, as well as making more characteristics on the Equestria Girls characters in the future.
Now, this chapter was originally going to be focused on Twilight and Rarity's developments throughout the whole chapter, but I decided to introduce an Velociraptor into this story as the chapter's primary focus. But,the focus of Twilight and rarity's development will have to wait until chapter six. The next chapter will feature a human antagonist, along with Riley's development as an important part of the group. I hope you'll be looking forward for it.
