Special Summon Class, a few days later.

We were finishing up class when Inferno asked me to stay back, Twilight looked at me worriedly "Go." I said "I'll catch up." She nodded nervously and left. I went up to a chair and sat down "So, why am I still here?" I asked, I know I was doing nothing wrong, if anything I was doing better than when I first came here.

"As your current dorm leader, well one of your two dorm leaders, I have found that your grade are extraordinary enough to get a promotion up to Obelisk Blue, along with your friend Twilight who I trust you will inform of her chance. Your test is tomorrow." He said smiling, while I was internally squealing but kept my composure on the outside.

"Thank you form informing me, I will tell Twilight." I told him before excusing myself.

When I caught up to Twilight she was with Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie, the latter noticing me and gaining the others attention while calling me over. I rolled my eyes at her antics, and sat next to Twilight who asked "What did Inferno pull you back for?"

The others looked at me inquisitively asking me the same question, I smiled "Twilight both you and I can take a test to change our dorm to Obelisk Blue." I told her as everyone, beside me, eyes widened.

"WHAT!?!?!?" Twilight and the other yelled as I clapped my hands over my ears.

"Please don't be so loud." I asked them as I started to stop hearing ringing in my ear

"Sorry sugarcube." Applejack said with the others spouting out similar apologies.

I sighed "Well anyways to answer the question you yelled." I glared at them slightly and turned to Twilight "We have to choice to rank-up to Obelisk Blue." They all looked at me slack-jawed.

Fluttershy, who I didn't even think would have the courage to speak, was the first to regain her voice "I think it would be a good idea."

I nodded "I think so as well." I said while thinking to myself 'That way I'll be closer to Alexis.'

"Well I'm up for it." Twilight said before turning to me "I know you are." I rolled my eyes at that comment, of course I was, I would love to show the other Obelisk's, which were mainly rich kids, that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, I've had way to many blue underestimating me.

Rarity coughed a bit "Then I believe you should perfect yours decks darlings." She said interrupting my internal conversation with myself over how big the majority of the blues are arrogant "I've heard to test are grueling." She said while Rainbow Dash scoffed

"I could take on anyone there." Rainbow said confidently, Applejack glared at her at that comment but kept her mouth shut. Rarity and Twlight followed her example.

"Rainbow Dash," I groaned out "These tests are meant to challenge you, both intellectually and physically." She looked at me funny but nodded it off, everyone started chatting and we stayed a while before Twilight and I left, we had a test tomorrow.

Exam Day

Twilight had prepared by changing up her deck a bit yesterday for her test while complaining I should modify my deck. I told her no multiple times but she still pestered me, seriously what is with her, I don't want to modify my deck cause in the end I'll either ruin it or change the deck completely which I don't want to do. I did, on an off-hand note add some cards I had saved into the deck making it much stronger.

As I entered the duel field, I realized that the lights were off, I shielded my eyes as all the lights were turned on and aimed onto me. When my vision returned to me I gazed over to where I would be dueling and saw Inferno, I smirked a little "Are you ready for your test?" He said smiling a little, he was planning on truly fighting me this time. I brought out my duel disk to show that I was ready.

"DUEL!" We both called out as we drew our starting hand.

"Lady's first." I said as I drew my sixth card "I'll start by playing the field spell Devil's Den - The Inkwell!" I said as a room appeared around us, ink staining the floors as if it was blood and an empty canvas sat behind me "With this all cards in my deck take a change to a more Ink like build. Also as an added bonus I can once per turn add any Instrument card from my deck to my hand." I said looking to Inferno to see if he was still with me, he nodded and waved his hand in a continue motion.

"Next, I use my Inkwell's effect to add Instrument of Creation - Ink Machine to my hand! After which I proceed to activate it." A machine with a broken lever pumping out ink into an ever expanding puddle appeared behind me "Now I can summon Ink-type monsters for one less tribute, so with that I can summon out Genocidal Demon - Bendy!" As I said this a creature made entirely of ink appeared behind me, it had clawed hands, horns and a sharp tail swinging behind it "Now I use Bendy's effect to special summon two ink tokens, also while he is on the field I can perform an extra normal summon, as long as it is the summon of an Ink-type monster. Which means I can summon this, I tribute one of my ink tokens to summon Genocidal Seraph - Alice!" A half demon, half angel creature appeared behind me, her face was disfigured and she had the body of grown woman and just like Bendy was made of ink.

"Those are two powerful monsters you've got there, 2300 and 2800, not a lot of people can say they've done that first turn without special summoning." Inferno commented, evaluating both of my monsters stats "But it will take a lot more than that kind of move to beat me!" He said out loud confidently.

I smiled a little 'He must want to see Alice's capability.' I thought to myself "Then it's good that Alice has an ability of her own, I can send a Ink-type monster from my hand to the graveyard and she gains attack equal to half of its defense. I send Borris the Wolf to the grave, which activates his effect, since he was sent from the hand to the grave for a cost I can special summon him in defense mode." Alice's attack from 2800 to 3800 while Borris rose out of the ground from the puddle from the ink machine with 2000 defense points "I then activate Pot of Greed to draw two card. After that I set three cards face-down and end my turn, your up." I told him as I laid down a new trap I had set for him, I'd heard that his deck specialized in burn damage.

"I draw!" He shouted adding his sixth card to his hand "I summon Red-Eyes Black Chick, but he won't be around for long cause I use his effect! By tributing him I can special summon my old pal, Red-Eyes Black Dragon in attack mode." A baby black dragon appeared from an egg, only to be consumed in fire as a more fearsome dragon took its place "Next I activate Inferno Fire Blast, with this you take damage equal to Red-Eyes attack points, but Red-Eyes won't be able to attack." With that Red-Eyes shot a fireball towards me.

"I don't think so!" I cried out as I activated one of my face-down "I activate Spell of Pain, I can activate this whenever I would take effect damage, with it you take it instead of me." A portal appeared in front of me consuming the fireball, which then the portal reappeared behind Inferno and shot him in the back (Inferno:1600).

"Good move, now to continue with my turn I activate Ancient Rules to special summon another Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" Another black dragon descended to the field landing next to the other "But neither will be around for long, I use them both to build the overlay network." A galaxy with a black hole in the middle appeared above us which the two monsters were consumed into before a bigger monster came out "I XYZ summon, Number 11: Big Eye in attack mode! I then use his effect, by using an overlay unit I can take control of one of your monsters but he won't be able to attack this turn, I chose Genocidal Seraph - Alice!" (Number 11: Big Eye OVU: 3 --> 2) "Now I attack with Alice against Genocidal Demon - Bendy!"

I activated my face-down card "I activate the trap card Inky Oblivion Wave, with this I can tribute an Ink-type monster and destroy all face-up cards! I tribute my Ink Token, but to make sure Bendy will survive I activate the Ink Siphon Puddle, with this I can reduce my monsters attack by 1000 points and it can't be destroyed for the rest of the duel." Bendy was pierced by multiple tendrils from the puddle coming from the ink machine, which then surrounded his body, protecting him from the blast wave originating from the ink token, destroying the other two monsters.

Inferno grunted and said "I set a card face-down and end my turn."

I nodded as I drew a card "I use my Inkwell's effect to add Instrument of Recreation - Black Spindle, which I then activate, for every Ink-type monster in my grave and for every token I have summoned this game I get to draw a card, that equals four cards." I drew three cards from my deck, making my total number of cards in my hand five "Next I activate the continuous spell Instrument of Rebirth - Sacrificial Knife! With this I can revive a Ink-type monsters in my grave at the cost of 1000 life points each, which means Alice and Borris return at the cost of 2000 life points!" (Cynthia: 2000) Alice and Borris rose up onto the field out of a black puddle that was tinged at the edges with a red substance.

"With that you can finish this duel." Inferno stated blanching at the sight of my monsters returning, but I caught a flicker of hope in his eyes, most likely his face-down would send them all to the grave and Inferno could win.

"Correct." I told him, pretending I didn't see his trap "But I want to end this my way I set a card face-down and activate Trap Booster, by discarding a card I can activate a trap the turn it set." I discard a very special card "Now since I discarded Ink Disciple - Sammy Laurence I can special summon him to the field! And since Trap Booster was used, I activate my face-down card Level Returner, with this I can decrease Alice's level by two making her level six."

"Your going to XYZ summon, aren't you?" Inferno said as I smirked.

"You would be correct again, I use level six Genocidal Demon - Bendy and Genocidal Seraph - Alice to build the overlay network!" I declared as the shining galaxy appeared above us once again, and Bendy and Alice both entered the black hole above "I XYZ Genocidal Seraph - Bendy!" Bendy was spewed out of the black hole but he contained Alice's angel like traits as well as his old ones, he boasted 3200 attacks points "Now I use his effect! By consuming an overlay material I can destroy all face-down cards you control!" (Genocidal Seraph - Bendy OVU: 2 --> 1) Bendy gathered up a glob of ink being dispelled from the Ink Machine and threw it at Inferno's face-down card, it started to glow mid-flight and exploded once it impacted with Inferno's face-down.

"NO!" Inferno cried out in disbelief.

"Now, Genocidal Seraph - Bendy direct attack!" Bendy used his powers to make the Ink machine pump out more ink as he gathered it into his palms. Which he then turned into spikes which proceeded to fly towards Inferno decimating the remainder of his life points, and causing a cloud of dust to be swept up onto the field (Inferno: 0000).

As the dust cleared Inferno exited the cloud of dust that surrounded him "Congratulations Cynthia!" He called out "I think Obelisk Blue will be a welcome upgrade for you." He finished with a twinkle of excitement in his eyes coming from the stunning conclusion.

I bowed and said "That was a great duel I hope we will be able to do it again." Afterwords I walked off, back to Ra Yellow to get ready to transfer.

About halfway there I got stopped by Alexis "Congrats." She said simply smiling at me, I returned the smile we were both likely thinking the same thing 'We're going to be closer.' In distance of course "Good to see you get a rightful title." She said walking a bit closer before hugging me quickly then running off 'What was that all about?' I thought to myself before shrugging it off, I then proceeded to continue on my way to Ra Yellow to gather my thing and prepare to move.
