She saw the wall stretch on to her right. It was unique, like all of them, and yet it was the same. Just enough color to be distinguishable from the white blanket of nothing.

Of course, they were not all unique, because there were only finitely many different shapes, or even if that wasn’t true, there were only finitely many shapes her vision could distinguish, because her vision only had finitely many points. And almost all numbers were larger than that.

She could see the white plane, but she could also see the richly colored town. Her vision darted around. Blending one out was impossible. Spike was the solution, he could send a letter, but Spike wasn’t there. He had left earlier, and she didn’t know where to. Perhaps the fastest way to meet him would be to just go back inside and wait. If she could even last this long without going mad. But even if the princess knew, what then?

The princess probably wouldn’t be able to help, because even her powers could be modeled by some finite number, and almost all numbers were larger than that.

She turned around, running into a random alley. The reasonable thing might be to wait. But reason was only finite, and almost all numbers were larger than that.

Perhaps Twilight would have stayed. But Twilight was not here. Reason had left with someone else.
