Previous ChapterNext ChapterSunset sat down at the lunch table with her friends, Marc included.
Yet there was something wrong, the girls, minus Velvet, where glaring at Sunset.
"Hey girls, what's....wrong?" Sunset asked in worry.
"Uh, Sunet, have you lost yer phone recently?" Applejack asked wearily.
"Don't say no, don't say no, don't say no." Marc prayed under his breath, then he stared at the group, like a tactician overlooking a battle field. He was scared, he didn't get scared a lot, so, the fact he was scared, scared him even more.
"Uh, no, it's right here." Sunset said holding her phone.
"Then, ya need to explain, this." Applejack said handing Sunset her phone.
On MyStable, there was Anon-A-Miss' latest post.
On it was the pictures from the slumber party last night and a caption that read:OMG what a bunch of DORKS, especially with that white robe! Hahaha, Hey, boy, we don't need wannabe Michael Jacksons!
"What?! How'd she get our pictures?" Sunset asked shocked.
"That's th' thing, Sunset." Applejack said. "They're not our pictures....."
"They're yours." Rarity finished.
"You where the one who took those pictures." Applejack stated accusingly.
"Wait, but I've had my phone all this time." Sunset said. "How did she-?"
"Yeah, how did she? How'd she know mah nickname? How'd she get those selfies? It was you, you're Anon-A-Miss!" Applejack accused.
"Hey, hold your horses." Marc said taking everybody's attention. "There is a surefire way to figure out friend....from foe."
"How?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"I want Velvet Breeze to scan Sunset Shimmer with Eagle Vision." Marc explaned.
"That sounds like a good idea." Velvet Breeze agreed.
Then she concentrated deeply, her vision went gray, all things on the outside obscured, her six friends were highlighted a blue hue.
Marc was a deep golden hue, as usual.
Velvet turned to face Sunset.
Sunset, at first was a deep blue hue, but, she got a migrane for a few seconds, but shook it off. She faced Sunset again, but this time, Sunset's hue was a deep, unmistakable, red.
"So, Velvet, how does she look?" Rarity asked.
"I'm sorry to say, she's red, Applejack's right." Velvet said sadly.
"We trusted you Sunset, we thought you were our friend!" Rainbow Dash said.
"She is!" Marc stated. "Don't you see? This is what whoever is doing this wants!"
"Sorry Marc, but, this time, Sunset is th' villain, th' facts don't lie." Applejack said bluntly.
"'How? How could you do this? After all we've been through together?" Rarity asked through tears.
"EXACTLY!" Marc said. "The battle of the bands. The Aassassin secret war. The Rift Between Worlds. The Frindship Games. Camp Everfree. The Memory Stone. Do you seriously think, that after all you've done together, after the battles you've fought, the enemies you faced, that she'd thow your friendship away? Like it was nothing? Just lIke that?" Marc asked snapping his fingers together to emphasise his point.
But, the only one who even listened to him was Velvet Breeze and Sunset. Everyone else was to blinded by anger and sadness.
"What? No, you guys. I didn't do this." Sunet said at the verge of tears, the only thing holding her back from tearing totally was Marc still believing in her. "I could never hurt any of you, let alone betray you and spill your secrets on the internet!"
"But you did! Your must've been pretending to be our friend. Just to steal our secrets!" Pinkie said, showing a side of herself Marc was shocked to see in the pink party planner. "You, you secret stealer!"
"No, no, no, no. I don't know how she got these secrets, but, I can assure you, I, am not this person!" Sunset said, trying to convince her friends of the truth. But, only Marc fully believed her preachings.
"No, you're not! You're not the person we thought you were!" Fluttershy said, crying a river. "You're not our friend!"
This sent Sunset over the edge. Sunset was now crying a river as well.
"No, I am your friend, I am." Sunset said through her sobs.
"Sorry, Sunset, but we're not falling for your tricks, any more." Applejack said sternly standing with her friends.
Sunset only ran off sobbing, her face in her arms.
"Mortals, you are so pigheaded!" Marc yelled in anger at his friends' ignorance. "What language do I need to speak to make you understand? Sunset Shimmer is innocent!"
Marc repeated this in Latin, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Vulcan, Dwarvish, Elvish, Cinnigaran.
"You're so sure Sunset is innocent?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Maybe she fooled you to."
"I doubt it." Marc said angry.
"Well, I doubt we should trust you either way." Rainbow Dash said.
"What do you mean by that?" Marc asked.
"Oh, befriending super villains lIke Sombra, Mirror Match, the Dazzlings." Rainbow Dash said.
"Okay, that....is a good point, but it was the previous Head of Council's idea, not mine." Marc stated.
"Whatever, if you wanna take her side, help her all you want, spill everything you have on us, we don't have to listen." Rainbow Dash said as the group moved to another table.
Marc got up and ran after Sunset.
Sunset continued to run, until she bumped into someone.
"Hey, watch it dork!" It was a woman with blonde hair, white skin, and yellow lipstick on, her left ear was pierced, she wore fingerless gloves, a brown leather jacket, blue jeans, and sneakers.
Sunset took a minute to remember her name, Gilda. Rainbow Dash introduced her to the group, but Gilda was a major Jerk and Rainbow ended her and Gilda's friendship.
"Sorry." Sunset said, trying to avoid making her day worse.
"Well, "sorry" won't cut it, Anon-A-Miss." Gilda sneered.
"What?" Sunset asked.
"Don't you know? you just posted more dirt, specifically, about me!" Gilda said. "How about I teach you what means to mess with me, you little bitch!"
Gilda raised her fist to punch Sunset, but felt someone holding her arm, she turned to see the blue haired baseball player , Home Run.
"Look, I don't exactly know if you've heard, but Sunset isn't Anon-A-Miss." Home Run stated.
"Oh yeah, what's your proof?" Gilda sneered.
"We're standing in it." Home Run said. "Sunset and her friends have saved this school, and everyone in it, on more than one occasion."
"What ever, it doesn't mean Sunset didn't turn over an old leaf." Gilda said.
Then some thing flew past her eyes and imbedded itself in the wall.
She and Home Run looked at the object.
It was a pen.
Everyone there turned to see who threw the pen.
Standing at the other end of the hallway was Marc, and he did not look happy.
"I've fought, and killed, some of the greatest fighters in the multiverse, so, when someone is under my protection, it's best to give up trying to do harm to those I protect." Marc stated.
Seeing she was out matched, she shook off Home Run's grip and walked away.
"Watch your back, cause there'll be my army knife in it if you don't." Gilda threatened as she left.
"Are you okay Sunset?" Marc asked as he extended his arm to help Sunset up.
"Yes, but I could've handled that." Sunset said grabbing his arm and pulling herself up.
"That was cool. You're Marc, right?" Home Run asked. He's heard of this kid, even though he was visiting his grandfather during the friendship games rematch finale, stories about this kid had spread around the school, even though he doesn't entirely believe Marc is a deity, he very much believes Marc has skill.
"The one and only in this universe that I know of." Marc said simply. "Thank you for trying to defend Sunset."
"Anything for an old friend." Home Run stated.
"Indeed, there is nothing one wouldn't do for their closest, and truest, friends." Marc said.
"Yeah, that sounds right." Home Run said.
The bell sounded.
"We better get to class." Marc said casually to Sunset.
"Hey, Marc?" Sunset asked.
"What is it Sunset?" Marc asked his friend.
"Why did you help me?" Sunset asked.
"You're my friend, and you needed help." Marc said. "Need I say more?"
"No, I guess." Sunset said.
"Well, we better get going, could you do me a favor and try to avoid getting yourself in trouble?" Marc requested.
"Yes, I'll try." Sunset said.
Then they each said their good byes and went to their own classes.
