Princess Twilight was inside the Canterlot library's restricted section. It was a dusty cave with several bookshelves on a balcony with a stone staircase ending on either side of the front entrance. In the middle was a large wood table and in the back was a large fireplace with the fire roaring.
Twilight was reading several ancient history books. Some going back even before The Pillars, some Star Swirl pointed her to himself.
Twilight let a frustrated groan and closed the book she was reading.
The reason she was in the Restricted Section this time (ever since she discovered it, she's made frequent trips to read as much as she can) was that of favor to Sunset. She was looking up a name, one she swore she heard before; Light Sparker. But it's ten kinds of dead ends. She'd ask Princess Luna, but Sunset told her it's a Freedom Fighter secret, and she didn't want to intrude into the Lunar Princess' past too much.
So, here she was, hitting the books.
"Uhh." Twilight groaned as she rubbed her eyes and almost drifted off to sleep.
"Twilight, what are thou doing down here?" The voice of Luna asked, jerking Twilight from her tired-ness and causing her to open her eyes.
In front of her was Princess Luna wearing a worried face.
"Are thou alright, Twilight Sparkle?" Luna asked. "You've been in the Restricted Section longer than usual today."
"Yeah, I'm fine," Twilight said as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. "I'm just looking for something."
"What are thou looking for?" Luna asked. "Perhaps We can help thee."
"Alright, if you insist," Twilight said.
"Huzzah!" Luna said. "How can We help you, Princess Twilight?"
"A name," Twilight admitted. "Light Sparker."
As soon as the name "Light Sparker" was spoken, Luna's usual demeanor was changed with an even more mysterious one.
"Why doth you have the sudden interest in this....certain subject?" Luna asked.
"Ummm, a friend asked me to look into it," Twilight said, slightly afraid of the Lunar Princess.
"Hmmm," Luna said, raising an eyebrow. "Is this truly what thou wishes, Twilight Sparkle?"
"Um, yes, Princess," Twilight said, curious and nervous at the same time. "As I said, it's for a friend."
"Alright, Twilight Sparkle," Luna said, as she went to one of the bookshelves, and pulled a book out in her blue telekinetic aura and placed it on the table. It was dusty and the title was faded beyond readability, the spine was barely in good condition, it had some small patches of spider webs on some areas. Yet the pages were perfectly preserved, but the writing faded, Twilight noticed this and was baffled.
"What's this book?" Twilight asked, looking at the ancient scripture.
"You will see," Was all Luna said. Then, Luna's blue aura formed around her horn, glowing and glittering. Then, she looked at the book and it was entrapped in her aura. After that, Luna began chanting a spell.
"Řë§țøřöţõ, řəvęřsé, fīxæþ, hűřaăķ, ťįmę, řęvêŕßə!"
As Luna chanted the non-Equine, restoration spell her aura changed from dark blue to baby blue, then from baby blue to gold, and from gold to white. As the spell ended, her aura changed back to dark blue as she placed the now-restored book on the table.
It had a white cover, spine, and back. On the front where there was once a faded title, now was several words written in bold gold.
"The Legend of The Golden Alicorn?" Twilight read aloud, confused. She looked back up at Luna, cocking her head and raising her right eyebrow in confusion.
"Yes. Twilight Sparkle." Luna said as she opened the book. "Allow us to tell you a story."
Long, long ago, when Equestria was new, and the Pillars were just formed, there was another member of the Pillars. This secret member, this unsung hero, was an Alicorn Prince, named Light Sparker. He was a skilled fighter and wizard who worked alongside the Pillars and helped them with their missions, normally from the shadows. Legends say that he had a coat of gold-color, he wore gilded armor and donned an unbreakable Gold Bastard Sword. He would try to help everyone he could, and like all good people, he would feel great guilt for Everycreature he couldn't save. He was against banishing Stygian to Limbo. but helped the Pillars nonetheless. But, before he could tell the Pillars about his plan for using Ponehenge, The Pony of Shadows engaged him in battle at Olde-Trottingham. They waged a battle, but Light Sparker knew his powers were harming civilians, so he held back, but it cost him his life in the end.
"Ohmygoshomygoshomygosh!" Twilight said excitedly. "Not only did an Alicorn work alongside the Pillars! But, he was a PRINCE! And he DIED! What happened next?"
"Keep listening, overeager Twilight." Luna chuckled.
Over the next few weeks as the Pillars mourned their lost comrade, they focused their efforts to finding where the Pony of Shadow was hiding. But, one fateful day, a stranger approached. This stranger was none other than another Light Sparker, another Light Sparker! At first, the Pillars were happy that their friend was somehow back, but, this Light Sparker claimed to be a different one, stating to be from another world entirely! At first, the Pillars were skeptical, but Light proved it by speaking of his adventures in the Human World. Yet, he joined them in their quest nonetheless. He had requested that they don't record any evidence of being in Equestria though, but, he did allow Star Swirl to keep this tome if he wished it.
As days and nights passed and more Darkness spread, Light approached Star Swirl with a theory his counterpart thought of, "if we can not kill, nor reason with Stygian, how about we contain him somewhere?" At first, Star Swirl was surprised, then skeptical, but after the two mulled over ideas, they eventually reached the plan they will utilize; trapping him in Limbo! But, Light said if they used their artifacts in this manner, the bearers would be banished with him. They all accepted this fate, but Light offered to stay behind to not only return but to plant the seed they will leave so that it will bloom into powerful Elements for good. And that he did.
And once that was done, he disappeared from Equestria for good.
"And, Twilight Sparkle, that is where our story ends," Luna said, closing the book and putting back on the shelf with her magic. "Not what you expected?"
Twilight Sparkle took a moment to take this in. She heard history first-hoof, and she was both happy that her quest ended, but, shocked by what she heard.
"Certainly not," Was all Twilight said.
"So, are thou satisfied?" Luna asked. "Or, do We need to explain more?"
"Um, yes, I'm satisfied," Twilight said. But, another thought crossed her mind. "Did you ever meet him? Light Sparker?"
"Pony, or human as Pony?" Luna asked.
"Um." Twilight contemplated this for the second time. "Either."
Now it was Luna's turn to contemplate, she was very young at the time, so young, the second one called her "Woona". But, she remembered both clearly.
"The first one, I didn't see too often, but I saw him once," Luna said. "But the second one, he would visit me and Tia often, he even had a nickname for me; Woona."
"Woona?" Twilight asked. "Seriously?"
Luna chuckled."I was 6, and he said it suited me. But, I never complained."
"Huh, this is good to know," Twilight said, jotting down notes with a silver quill in a notebook she grabbed with her magic.
"Good, now, head back up and get some rest," Luna said. "We rose the moon 6 hours ago."
Hearing this made Twilight realize both how late it was, and how tired she felt.
Twilight let out a tired yawn and began collecting her items.
"Okay, would it be to much trouble for you to finish up?" Twilight asked she put as many books away as she could and put her notebook and sliver quill in her saddlebag. "I would, but, I have a train to catch and I wanna go home."
Luna chuckled once more.
"Okay, Twilight Sparkle," Luna said.
Twilight began trotting out of the room. Leaving Luna alone.
What she doesn't know about the second Light Sparker. Luna thought to herself as she telekinetically put books back on their shelves with her magic. Is that he recruited me for the FFIA.

And don't worry the fun part is almost here, still a bit to go, and, um, I'm leaving COL 0 alone till I finish this story, and I already got some more stories on the way after COL 0.
As always, leave your thoughts in the comment section.
