Episode 2: Jewel's Hidden Spark

After a week in the medical wing, Jewel injuries were healed and now she was walking with her new friends in New Ponyville. Jewel was astounded by all the earth ponies, unicorns, pegasi and space alicorns getting along so well.

“It’s all so peaceful,” she complimented.

"Yea. So Jewel, what do you wanna see first?" Starla asked.

Jewel’s stomach growled and she blushed in embarrassment. “How about getting some food? That hospital food wasn't quite filling, hehehe." Jewel explained.

"Well then off to Cake’s Café!" Lightning stated.

Lightning an the ponies took Jewel to a large house that looked like a gingerbread house, almost.

"Welcome to our café. Why hello Lightning and everybody, who's the new unicorn with you?" Ms. Cake asked.

"This is Jewel Crystal. Can you make something for her, Ms. Cake?" Starla asked.

"Of course Starla, go on and take a seat." She replied. The ponies sat down with Jewel and in minutes the Cakes brought her an plate with bacon, steak and eggs with milk as a drink.

"Thank you." Jewel praised. She dug into her meal, loving every bite. Soon, she was finished and her stomach was a little bloated. She sighed in satisfaction and the ponies giggled.

"Enjoy your breakfast, Jewel?" Artie asked.

"Yeah. Best on I've ever had." Jewel replied.

"Good. Now come on, let's continue the tour." The ponies continued showing Jewel around New Ponyville and United Equestria. Jewel loved every minute of it. After two hours passed, the tour was over and it was early afternoon.

"Thanks for giving me this tour you guys." Jewel praised.

"No problem, chica." Dyno replied.

"Si, we were happy to do this." Myte added.

Suddenly ,the screams and panic cries of ponies could be heard in the street. A whole mob of them raced passed the ponies.

"What's going on?" Starla asked.

"I don't know, but we better find out." Lightning replied.

The ponies and Jewel ran in the opposite direction of the cries and saw the problem; a large flying serpent like creature, with dark sandy-like scaled, with a body that had to be at least thirty feet long, was roaring loudly.

“What’s that?” Jewel asked.

"A molgera! What's that doing here?!" Artie cried.

"Like my new pet?" A voice called. The ponies looked up and saw a humanoid cheetah standing on top of the molgera's head.

"How are you?!" Lightning asked.

"Name's Swift. And me and my pet are here to destroy you ponies." Swift answered, "Attack!"

"Come on guys. Let's go!" Lightning said.

"STARFLEET MAGIC!"

Lighting: "Power of Believing"

Starla: "Power of Space"

Artie: "Power of Art"

Buddy: "Power of Flora"

Rhymey: "I summon within...Power of Wind"

Dyno and Myte: "Power of Fire"

"Jewel, get somewhere safe. We'll handle them." Lightning ordered. Jewel complied and hid inside an alley.

She watches as the molgera blasted smoke clouds at her friends, who dodged all of them. Everyone tapped on a few switches on the sides of their visors, activating respiration masks so they could breathe easier.

The molgera took to the skies and uleashed a cloud of smoke, hindering the ponies vision. "Where is it?" Buddy asked. He got his answer when the molgera suddenly dove straight at the ponies and rammed them. The force sent the ponies flying, and making the smoke clear.

"Woah. That hurt." Artie groaned. The ponies managed to stand up and the molgera came charging again.

"Scatter!" Lightning cried. The ponies dodged the attack ans surrounded the creature on all sides. Starla and Buddy Rose attacked him from the left…

“STAR SHOWER”

“LEAF SWARM”

Artie and Rhymey attacked from the right...

“PAINT BOMB”

“DRILL QUILL”

And Lightning attacked it from the front.

UNIFORCE!

The attacks caused a huge explosion, but the molgrea was still able to fight.

"Let's finish this!" Lightning ordered. The team agreed and powered up their finishers and.....fired.

“UNIFORCE”

“GALACTIC PROJECTILE”

“SUPER STAFF SPIN”

“THRASH SLASH”

“BOOM-BOOM FLARE”

All of the attacks made their mark and caused a large smoke cloud to appear.

"Yeah!" Artie cried.

"We did it!" Starla added. However, to the ponies confusion, Swift was laughing, "Take another look, ponies."

When the smoke cleared, to the team's horror, the molgera was still standing, looking completely unharmed and still under Swift's control. "How can it be possible?!" Starla cried.

Swift laughed maliciously, "Face it ponies, my creature is unbeatable! WIND SLASH!"

The molgera whipped it’s tail and launched large wind-shaped shurikens at the team. The ponies took the attack and it sent them rolling into the ground and their suits de-energized. Jewel gasped softly in horror.

The molgera and Swift approached the ponies, who struggled to get back up, but have taken too much damage to do so. "Now....time to finish you pests off.... once and for all." Swift said, "ATTACK!"

The molgera was about to finish them when......

....."WAIT!" Jewel dashed out of the alley and leaped between her friends and the villains. The ponies saw this and became extremely worried. Jewel won't stand a chance against Swift and his molgera.

"Jewel.... get out of here... now!" Lightning exclaimed.

"Si.... chica!" Dyno agreed.

"It's... too dangerous." Myte added.

But Jewel stood where she was and incerdibly..... began walking towards the molgera. The creature snarled at Jewel. "JEWEL! ARE YOU CRAZY!" Lightning cried.

Jewel stayed claim as she stood only three feet away from the molgera. The molgera lowered it's head, growling, "Easy boy, easy." Jewel soothed as she offered her right hand to the molgera, who slowly stopped growling and leaned it’s head towards Jewel.

As soon as they made contact, her eyes and the molgera's glowed white as well as the molgera's body as they floated a few feet into the air. A black cloud came out of the creature and Jewel's horn glowed light pink and blasted the smoke, causing it to dissolve into thin air.

"Woah." Lightning gasped.

"Ay' Carumba!" Dyno and Myte cried. The molgera and Jewel slowly floated back to the ground and stopped glowing. The molgera, now free of Swift's control slithered back into the New Everfree Forest, while Jewel fell to the ground unconscious.

"Jewel!" Lighting cried as he caught her. Jewel was still breathing, but very exhausted and Swift seemed to have vanished as well.

A moment of silence passed and Starla broke it by saying,

"What.... just.... happened?" Starla asked.

Lightning and his team brought Jewel to New Canterlot sickbay, where she was now resting. They went to their majesties and told them everything. Another team was present five mares and a baby dragon along with a human.

One pony was a pegasus with a light blue body and a rainbow mane and a cloud with a rainbow lighting bolt coming out as her cutie mark. The second pegasus was light yellow with a pink and three pink butterflies as her cutie mark.

One was a unicorn pony which was white with a purple curly mane and tail with three blue diamonds as her cutie mark.

The other was pink earth pony with a dark pink mane and tail that looked like cotton candy with two blue and one yellow balloons as her cutie mark. The other earth pony was orange with a yellow mane and tail tied at the ends with a red band. She was also wearing a stetson hat and has three red apples as her cutie mark.

The human appeared to be 19 years old, peached colored and had short, brown hair and eyes. Finally, the dragon was purple with a green spikes running down from his head to his tail with a lime green underbelly.

They were Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Spike and Mykan Stevens.

Everybody was shown the battle through images via Lightning's friends magic. The friendship ponies, their majesties, Spike and Mykan were amazed and shocked.

"Incredible! Simply incerdible!" Grand Ruler exclaimed.

"That's amazing. She just walked up to it, touched it and removed all the evil, this Swift guy put it under." Mykan added.

"Hoo-Wee, she must be pretty powerful to do that." Applejack commented.

"Indeed. Jewel is obviously a very special unicorn." Queen Celestia agreed.

Then, Captain Shania entered the throne room, "Your majesties, Jewel has awaken." She announced.

"Good. Come, let us go see how Jewel is doing." Celestia added. Everybody agreed and follwed their majesties to the sickbay where Jewel was resting in bed.

"Hey Jewel, how are you feeling?" Lightning asked.

"Okay.” Jewel replied. She looked confused when she saw seven other beings with Lightning and the others, “Who are the others?" Jewel asked. One by one the mane 5, Spike and Mykan introduced themselves.

"My name is Mykan Stevens."

"My name is Spike."

"I'm Rarity, darling. Spike's loving wife."

"I'm Rainbow Dash, the fastest pony out of all Equestrians."

"Umm... I'm Fluttershy. Rhymey's wife."

"And I'm Pinkie Pie."

"Its nice to meet you all." Jewel greeted.

"So Jewel, how did you remove the evil from that molgera?" Dyno asked.

"Si, how?" Myte added.

"That's what we'd like to know as well." Grand Ruler added.

"I-I don't know. All I remember is touching it and everything became white for a couple minutes and then blackness." Jewel explained.

"So, now what?" Artie asked.

Suddenly, Dr. Penny came out with a shocked expression on her face.

"Dr. Penny what is it?" Celestia asked.

"Well we ran magic tests on her and..." Penny started.

"And what?" Lightning asked.

"We found that her magic levels...are that of an alicorn." Penny added.

"Meaning... what exactly?" Mykan asked.

"Jewel has powerful alicorn magic." Penny replied.

Eveverybody was amazed and were shocked! None of them could have predicted a unicorn having alicorn magic. Nobody could guess how or why Jewel's magic was that powerful.

"That's impossible!" Lightning gasped.

"Woah!" Starla said.

"Incredible" Queen Celstia added.

"Is this bad?" Jewel asked nervously.

"No! Not at all Jewel, but with your alicorn magic, you will need assistance in taming these new abilities of yours." Grand Ruler explained, "and we know the perfect teacher... Lightning Dawn." Queen Celestia said.

"Huh! What?" Lightning asked.

"Lightning, you've studied all kinds of magic under my teaching. Now you will tutor Jewel and help her fully control her magic and combat abilites as well." Celesto repeated.

Lightning thought for a moment, "Okay. I'll do it!" He said.

"Yeah!" Jewel said with joy.

Everybody smiled at Jewel's excitement.

That night, everybody went home and Lightning and Starla led Jewel to their house. "You can sleep in our guest room, Jewel." Starla offered. Ewel nodded and headed upstairs ti the guestroom.

It was just like any normal room; completely with a dresser, closet and a bed. Jewel put on the new PJ's that Rarity made for her and climbed into bed.

"What a day. I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow." Jewel thought.

With that, she closed her eyes and drifted off into a peaceful slumber.

In our next episode; Jewel's magic training begins and she shows great progress. But she gets put to the test when her friends are captured by Sombra and Chyrsalis.
