My Brave Pony: Starfleet Magic: The New Member (Rewrite)

Episode 20: A New Species

Two days passed and still no sign of Sombra, Chrysalis or their forced, which baffiled everyone, but they were grateful.

Now they could focus and analyzing Jewel’s magic more. With her Animal, Unicorn and Valkyrie magic, Jewel was incredibly powerful.

Now everybody, including Cadence, Shining Armor, Mykan and Midnight were in the throne room discussing the matter at hand. Lightning’s friends used their magic to show previous battles where Jewel transformed and finished the battle, specifically her battle with Tirek.

“That’ll be all.” Grand Ruler said. Lightning’s friends stopped showing the images. “It is obvious that Jewel has grown into a powerful alicorn.”

“I agree, she may be more powerful than you sister and brother-in-law.” Luna agreed.

“She grown a lot these past months.” Lightning said, with pride.

“Now she can change into animals, summon animal spirits, has Valkyrie magic, what else can her magic do?” Rainbow asked.

Before anyone could answer, they heard some singing coming from the hallway. The peeked into the hallway and saw Jewel singing a song.

As she was singing, a pink stream of magic came out of her and hit the floor, which turned into a grass patch with flowers in it.

When she was done singing, the grass patch disappeared. Jewel then walked down the hall, the ponies went back into the room and Jewel passed the room and went around the corner.

All the ponies were amazed. “Galloping Galaxies!” Lightning whispered.

“Incredible.” Grand Ruler added.

“Just how many kinds of magic does this mare have!” Rainbow cried. “First, Alicorn, then Animal and now Singing? What’s next?!”

“I may have something to do with the type of pony Jewel is.” Luna said. “The question is what kind of pony is she?”

“Only one way to find out.” Lightning said. “To the royal library!” Soon, the two teams, their majesties, Spike and Krysta were reading through every single book in the library, trying to find something that could tell them what kind of pony Jewel is.

After about six hours,

“Find anything?” Lightning called.

Fluttershy... “Nope.”

Rainbow... “I got nothing.”

Mykan... “Nada.”

Dyno... “Nothing over here either.”

Myte... “Si, nothing.”

Pinkie.... “I haven’t found squat!”

Rarity.... “Sadly, I’ve found nothing either.”

This only made Lightning a little frustrated. “This doesn’t make any sense.” Lightning said.

“All of the books I found only mentioned Equestria and Space ponies.” Buddy said. “Nothing at all connects to the kind of magic Jewel has.”

“There should be something in here.” Starla said. “Hey, where are their majesties?” Everybody looked around but strangely didn’t see their majesties anywhere. “Queen Celestia! Grand Ruler! Princess Luna!” Pinkie called.

“Guys over here!” Spike called. They followed him to one corner of the library where they found their majesties looking at and really old looking book; the cover was extremely dustily and the pages were brown, meaning, they were old.

“Your majesties, did you find anything?” Starla asked. Celestia turned towards the ponies. “Indeed we have. Take a look.”

Their majesties places the book on a table so everyone could see. “According to this book, Jewel seems to be an Animal Pony.”

“Animal Pony?” Everybody asked.

“Yes. Listen.

”Animal Ponies are a extremely rare ponies who have magic that allows them to change into various animals

“Like she did during our battles!” Lightning stated.

have the power to remove evil from any living creature

“Like she didn’t with the morglea.” Artie added.

“So if Jewel’s an Animal Pony, where are her biological parents?”

“I’m afraid that’s the next thing this book explains.” Celestia said.

Grand Ruler read on. ”Though these ponies were plentiful a thousand years ago, they were sadly hunted for their vast magic abilities making them extremely rare to find.”

“So this means what exactly?” Rainbow asked.

“It means that Jewel’s race was hunted to near extinction.” Rarity said.

“That’s Just sick!” Mykan and Midnight said. Cadence and Shining Armor agreed.

“If they were then how is she alive?” Rainbow asked.

“Her parents must have avoid getting killed and had her.” Midnight said.

“Then why was she raised by wolves?” Dyno asked.

“Maybe her parents were forced to abandon her so they could survive.” Myte theorized. Everybody thought about hat thought and agreed. “So Jewels parents gave her to a wolf pack to avoid getting killed like the rest of the kind.” Mykan stated.

“Well that’s the only thing that make sense.” Shining Armor added.

“Poor darling.” Rarity said. “She never get to know her real parents.” Applejack put a hand on her shoulder. “Don’t worry sugarcube. She’s got us as her family now.”

“Applejack is correct and as her family we need to be there for her and protect her.” Luna said.

Everybody vowed to do just that. “So what now?” Lightning asked.

“Right now, Jewel needs training with her singing magic.” Grand Ruler statedz

“How are going to do that?” Mykan asked.

“Well there will be a singing competition at the New Canterloy theater. Maybe Jewel can enter.” Midnight suggested.

“That might work but we have to ask her first.” Luna said.

“I’ll go.” Mykan said. Dashing out of the library, Mykan found Jewel and asked her if she wanted to join the dining competition. When he came back to the others he said. “She’ll enter!”

Everybody cheered. “I wonder what song she’s going to sing?” Pinkie asked.

“That’s not important right now, Pinkie. What is important is that we find out just how powerful Jewel’s singing magic is.” Lightning said.

“How are we going do that?” Mykan asked. Lightning smiled as he already though of the one pony who could help them with that.

That night, the singing competition wasn’t under way. Lightning and all of his friends were sitting front row. There were many singers and unfortunately Sizzle was one of them. She wanted to revenge in Jewel for outshining her the last time. The ponies were that Jewel would beat her... again. After two hours, the only two competitors left were Jewel and Sizzle.

“You’re going down.” Sizzle said. Jewel don’t reply. Sizzle got up on stage and sang her song.

After she was done, it was Jewel’s turn. She got up on stage and sang her song about harmony and unity.

As she sang her horn began to glow and fields of flowers appeared on stage, amazing the crowd.

Starla leaned towards her husband. “Now Lightning.” She whispered. “Already doing it.”

Shake your tail to rhythm of Mount Aris

Listen to the melodies of dragons
Wanna bang of the drums of New Ponyville

Suddenly she turned into a falcon and spread over the crowd, singing the chorus while looking down at all the creatures United Equestria has.

I see stars all around the world
Feels like home everywhere I go
I hear music everywhere
And there’s one thing that I know
We’re one Pack, One Voice, One World
And we’re singing in harmony
We’re One Pack, One Voice, One World
And we’re singing in harmony.

When she finished she landed on stage and turned back into her normal self and the fields of flowers disappeared as well. The crowd roared with applause and cheering for such an amazing performance.

“And the winter of the New Canterlot Singing Competition is..... Jewel Crystal!” The crowd cheered and clapped for Jewel as the host gave Jewel a Golden first place trophy. Sizzle, meanwhile, stormed off in a huff. Jewel’s friends came on stage to congratulate her.

“That was awesome Jewel!” Mykan exclaimed.

“Super cool!” Lightning added.

“THE BEST THING EVER!” Pinkie yelled with a huge smile. Jewel blushed that’s when their majesties came up on stage at that moment.

“Outstanding performance Jewel.” Grand Ruler stated. “Indeed. That song showed truly harmony and friendship.” Celestia added.

Jewel smiled proudly. “Thank you.” she thanked.

“How didn’t you come up with such lyrics?” Buddy asked.

“Fluttershy helped me with the lyrics and the music.” Jewel replied. Fluttershy blushed. “Now come on, let’s taje your prize home.” Mykan said.

Mykan and Midnight took Jewel home and she’s fell asleep on the couch. They went back to New Canterlot Palace. “What did you get Lightning?” Mykan asked.

“Based on the Singing analyzer Professor Brain made, her singing magic works in the same way as her Valkyrie magic. Except when her singing can be used as a shield during battle.” Lightning stated.

The ponies were amazed by this. “Woah. Looks like we have a lot more training to do with her.” Mykan stated.

“Yeah. These Animalcorns are truly amazing.” Midnight added. “Who knows what else Jewel can do?”

Everybody agreed and wonder what else to their unicorn can do.

In our next episode; It’s Nightmare Night and Jewel and the royal twins will going on a journey that will change a pony’s life forever. But when the ponies catch on, can they find their friends before something happens?
