My Brave Pony: Starfleet Magic: The New Member (Rewrite)

It’s was Hearts and Hooves Day in United Equestria. The day when ponies spend the day with their friends or a special somepony.

Today, Mykan, Midnight and Jewel were all walking to the park for their Hearts and Hooves Day picnic. Jewel was holding a picnic basket. “Ready for our picnic day Jewel?” Mykan asked.

“Yes. I can’t wait!” Jewel replied in excitement. The boys laughed at her cheeriness. “This is going to be the best day ev- Woah!” Jewel was cut off she two other stallions suddenly appeared in front of her.

One was yellow with a short, brown mane and tail and the other was red with a long, blue mane and tail. Names: Featherbangs and Blue Streak.

“Hey pretty, you wanna spend Hearts and Hooves Day with us?” Blue Streak asked while batting his eyes. Jewel blushed and acted nervous. “I.... ummm..... I-“

Seeing Jewel being uncomfortable due to the stallions flirting made the boys.... a little angry. Jewel was still stuttering, luckily Mykan and Midnight came to her rescue. “Sorry boys, she’s with us.” Mykan said.

“So why don’t you two just move along-“ Midnight added but he was cut off.

“Sorry to disappoint but Jewel doesn’t want to be with two immature creatures like you. She wants mature stallions like us.” Featherbangs replied. That irritated Mykan and Midnight.

“Who are you calling ‘immature’!” Mykan said. “Jewel doesn’t even want you to.”

“How do you know?” Blue Streak asked.

“We know she doesn’t!” Midnight said.

“Well then we’ll have to settle this with a battle. Whoever Jewel chooses will spend Hearts and Hoives Day with. Deal?” Featherbangs challenged.

“Deal!” The four boys shook on it and then turned around and left. Jewel could only ask on question. “What did I get myself into?”

Jewel informed her friends and they were all shocked by what she said.

Dyno... “They are gonna battle for you!”

Myte.... “On Hearts and Hooves Day?”

Rarity... “So romantic.”

Jewel sighed. “What am I gonna do?”

“Looks like you’re gonna have to choose.” Lightning said. Jewel knew he was right but she was really disappointed. “All I want was a simple picnic.” The others felt sympathy for her. “Come on let’s get to the park.” Starla said.

Everybody went to the park and saw only Mykan, Midnight, Featherbangs and Blue Streak there. “Alright, you boys ready? The first challenge will be a signing competition. Jewel will choose the winner at the end.” Lightning announced. “Ready?”

The four boys nodded. “Ready.”

“Aaaaaand Begin!”

The four boys fell to the ground and Jewel leaped out of range. The friends just looked at them weird. “Okay... so Jewel, which pair do you choose?” Lightning asked.

“Ummm... Mykan and Midnight.” Jewel replied quietly. The boys cheered. “In your face!” Midnight said.

“Easy you two. It’s not over yet.” Lightning stated. “Onto the next challenge.... gestures!”

Mykan and Midnight approached Jewel with a box and chocolate and flowers in their hands. “Here Jewel. I hope you like it.” they said at the same time. Jewel felt her cheeks go red as she took the flowers. “Hehe thank you.” she said quietly.

She felt a tap on her shoulder and saw Featherbangs and Blue Streak with a large card that said ‘I Love you’

Mykan and Midnight growled at them. “Here you are, you sweet thing.” Featherbangs stated. Jewel blushed even more, giggled and she took the card.

“So you do you choose Jewel?” Lightning asked.

“Featherbangs and Blue Streak.”

The two stallions cheered and gloated about their winning. Now the boys were tied. “And onto the final challenge. The chocolate eating contest!”

Chocolate!” Jewel thought regretfully. Her stomach began churning at the thought of chocolate.

Being raised by wolves, her stomach was used to things like berries and raw meat... but chocolate was one of the many sweets her stomach couldn’t deal with, being that she’s never had it before in her life!

Soon she was facing two fourteen feet tall stacks of chocolate. One made by Mykan and Midnight and the other made by Featherbangs and Blue Streak.

“Oh my goodness!” Rarity cried.

“Mucho chocolate!” Dyno cried.

“Si!” Myte added.

“Now Jewel, you have to eat both these stacks of chocolate and whichever one you eat the more of, that’ll decide the winner of this competition and who you spend Hearts and Hooves Day with.” Lightning explained. “Are you ready?”

Jewel gulped and nodded. “And begin!”

Jewel began eating the two stacks of chocolate slowly and about two hours later she ate both of them. She looked terrible; she face was really green and was hugging her stomach with a pain expression on her face. “It’s a tie!” Lightning said.

The four boys were shocked and wanted one more challenge. They both went off into the park. The others were about to follow them when they heard Jewel moan.

“Jewel, darling, are you alright?” Rarity asked.

Jewel looked at them and shook her head. Her friend didn’t like the way her face looked. “Are you feeling okay?” Starla asked. Jewel shook her head. Her stomach gurgled sickly and painfully. “Ugh... my... stomach.”

Her friends could see that she was sick as a dog.

“Come on, we better get you home and to bed.” Pinkie said. The others agreed and helped Jewel stand up. She was really wobbly and she felt really dizzy and nauseous. “Uuuugggh. I feel sick.” she groaned.

“Easy sugarcube.” Applejack said. “We’re going to take you home.” They eventually got Jewel to the Golden Oak Library and they layed her down on the couch. Starla put a bucket near the couch, in case Jewel threw up. Mareep, Rockruff and Silvally were all worried about her.

“I think eating all that chocolate made her sick.” Fluttershy said.

“But how?” Buddy asked.

“Well she might not have even eaten chocolate before with being raised by wolves and all.” Artie stated. “So her stomach doesn’t agree with it for now.”

Starla placed a blanket over Jewel and she snuggled into the couch. “Thanks.” she said.

“Come on guys, Jewel needs her rest. Mareep, Rockruff, Silvally, watch over her okay?” Starla said.

The pokémon nodded and the gang left. They went back to the park and found the four boys. They were about to start another’s challenge when they saw the gang coming. “Hey guys.” Midnight greeted. “Where’s Jewel?”

“She’s sick in bed.” Buddy replied, much to the boys shock. “Sick! How?” Mykan asked.

“She are so much chocolate from your silly contest that it got her sick to her stomach.” Artie explained.

Mykan and Midnight felt bad. It was their fault that Jewel was ill. “Where is she now?” Mykan asked.

“She’s resting in her bed at home.” Lightning replied. Mykan and Midnight nodded and both headed to the Golden Oak Library. Entering the tree, they saw Jewel sleeping in on the couch but she woke up when she heard the door opening. “Oh. Hey guys.” she greeted weakly.

It pained Mykan and Midnight with guilt to see her like this. “Hey.... how are you feeling?” Midnight asked.

“Okay... I guess.” Jewel replied.

“Jewel... we wanted to say... we’re sorry for getting you sick.” Mykan started.

“And making you judge our stupid competition. We’re supposed to just have our picnic, but we ruined it.” Midnight added.

“I forgive you guys. But why did you challenge those stallions in the first place?” she asked.

“When we saw those two flirting with you... we just... felt... icky inside.” Mykan said.

“Icky?”

“Yeah. Like we just couldn’t stand them looking at you.”

“But why?”

“That’s the thing... we don’t know.” A moment of silence passed. “Anyway.... how about we have that picnic we planned?” Midnight asked, holding the basket. Jewel smiled and sat up on the couch.

Knowing, she couldn’t handle hard food for sometime, Mykan and Midnight just gave her some soup. “Thanks guys.” Jewel said. The three friends just ate their picnic. Unaware that the other had followed Mykan and Midnight to the library and were now watching through windows.

They were smiling proudly at their friends for making things up to Jewel.
