My Brave Pony: Starfleet Magic: The New Member (Rewrite)

Mykan found himself in a bright void with stars all around. “Woah... where am I?”

He called out to somebody but nobody answered back. Then in front of him a figure appeared in a light blue glow. Mykan immediately recognized it. “Michelle?!”

“Hello Mykan.”

“What are you doing here?”

“I sense that you still carry a heavy burden about me.” Mykan knew she was talking about how heartbroken he was when she was killed. “You need to find someone who you can share your life with once more.”

Mykan sighed sadly. “But how?”

Michelle smiled. “I believe you’ve already found one. I believe her name was.... Jewel Crystal.” Hearing that made Mykan surprised. “Jewel!”

Michelle nodded. “B-But she’s my friend!”

“A Friend who cares for you deeply.” Michelle added. Mykan was totally confused. “How will I know she’s the one for me?”

“Sometimes, it takes a special moment for the spark to be revealed.” Michelle replied. “I must go now, Mykan. Remember what I said.” In a bright flash Michelle vanished and the void began to waver...

Mykan woke up in a shock. He breathed in heavily and he looked out his bedroom window. ”Could Jewel be the one for me?” he thought.

That morning Mykan was with Ms. Cheerilee, teaching the class. “And now students, Mykan has brought us a special guest for today.” Ms. Cheerilee stated.

“A guest!” Applebloom said.

“Who is it?” Scootaloo asked.

“Easy girls.” Mykan said. “Now with further ado, I would like to welcome Major Jewel Crystal.”

Jewel came in with her three pokémon by her side. “Hi everyone.” Jewel greeted.

“Hi Major Jewel Crystal.” the class replied.

“Do any of you have questions for Jewel?” Mykan asked the class. The CMC’s raised their hands. “Yes girls?”

Applebloom spoke first. “What are the three creatures beside you?”

“They are my pokémon; Mareep, Rockruff and Silvally.”

Sweetie Belle spoke next. “Can I pet Mareep?”

“Sure.” Sweetie got up from her seat and walked over to Mareep who smiled at her. Sweetie rubbed her hand across Mareep’s wool. Mareep cried happily and Sweetie smiled.

Jewel looked towards DD and said. “DD, I think Rockruff wants your attention.”

“Huh?” DD looked down and saw Rockruff at her side with it’s tail wagging. “Awww.” DD picked up Rockruff and she licked her face.

“Jewel, can I pet Silvally?” Scootaloo asked. Jewel nodded and Scootaloo walked up to Silvally. Silvally lowered it head, inviting he to pet him. Scootaloo rubbed her hand on its neck and he smiled. “Alright girls, go take your seats.” Cheerilee stated. The girls obeyed and went to their seats.

“Now Jewel, Mykan has told me that you’re a good singer.” Cheerilee said. “Wanna song for the class?”

“Please.” the class pleaded. Jewel giggled and replied. “Okay.”

Jewel took a deep breath and sang a song

While she wa singing she got Mykan and Cheerlie to join in, much to the children’s liking and soon all of the class were singing the song.

When it ended, everybody shared a good laugh about it.

After school ended, Mykan and Jewel were walking through the park together. “Nice song, Jewel.” Mykan commented.

Jewel smiled. “Thank you. You’re not a bad singer.”

Mykan pretended to be insulted. “Well, I may not had singing lesson on my planet, but still.” he stuttered. He and Jewel laughed.

Jewel then placed her head in Mykan’s shoulder, much to his surprise. Jewel sighed as she looked at the sun in the sky and Mykan did the same. “Beautiful isn’t it?” Jewel asked.

“Yeah.” Mykan replied. Jewel looked at Mykan and Mykan looked at Jewel. They stayed like that for a moment. Then Mykan suddenly snapped back to his senses. “Ummm... hehe.” He smiled nervously at Jewel who was just smiling.

“So where should we go now?” Jewel asked.

“How about your home.” Mykan suggested. Jewel agreed but as they began walking. “ROOOAAAARRR!”

A large monster came out of the brush. It was a chimera with the faces of a lion, snake and goat. It was the size of The Golden Oak Library. The chimera layed its eyes on Jewel and charged towards her and Mykan. “Lookout!” Jewel pushed Mykan out of the way but she did it have time to save herself. The chimera grabbed Jewel with is giant paw and ran off with her. “JEWEL!” Mykan cried as her saw the chimera disappear into the trees.

“Mykan!” He turned skeins and saw Lightning, Starla, and their friends running towards him. “Mykan, What happened?” Starla asked. “And where’s Jewel?”

Mykan explained everything that happened and the gang was shock and outraged. “Sombra and Chysalis must have sent it.” Lightning said.

“We’ve got get her back!” Pinkie cried.

“And we will let’s go!” Starla replied. “Mykan show is where it took Jewel.” Mykan nodded and lead the gang through the trees. ”Hang on Jewel, we’re coming.”

The chimera has taken Jewel to the Flame Geysers; a large area covered with geysers that shoot out fire. It brought her before Swift and he placed Jewel in a cage. “Let me go!” Jewel demanded.

Swift laughed. “Not a chance.”

“Why did you bring me here?”

“So I could force you tell me something.”

Jewel’s eyes narrowed. “Tell you what?”

“Tell me all of Starfleet’s secrets. NOW!” Swift yelled. Jewel gasped in shock. She knew that if Swift gets a hold on Starfleet’s secrets, he and the others will not doubt use them against her and the gang. “Never!” she cried. “You’ll never know.”

“Fine then, I’ll just have to convince you too.” He began pushing the cage directly over one of the flame geysers. The geysers was glowing red, meaning it going to go off soon.

“Tell me the secrets, or your cooked.” He threatened. Jewel still refused. Then the cage began shaking and the glowing became more instense. Jewel gulped nervously. “Guys where are you?” she whispered.

“JEWEL!” Swift and the chimaera turned and saw Lightning and the gang and Mykan with his sword drawn. “Guys! Help!” Jewel cried.

“Don’t worry Jewel, we’re coming.” Mykan cried. Swift sneered. “You won’t have time to save her, once the geyser turns her in a shish cubob.”

The cage was really shaking now. “HEEELLLP!”

“Let’s go!” Lightning and his team felt wit the chimera while Mykan rushed towards Jewel. When he was feet away from her, Swift blocked his way. “You’re noun gettibg in my way again, insolent human.” Swift barged Mykan. He blocked him with his shield and bashed him with it. Swift went flying over the geyser and landed hard on the ground. Mykan quickly grabbed Jewel’s cage. “You okay?” he asked.

“I’m okay.” Jewel replied. Mykan smiled.

Meanwhile, the ponies easily defeated the chimera and use their finishers to turn it back into a normal cat, which ran off into the forest. Swift got up and growled in defeat then teleported away.

“Come on, let’s get you home.” Mykan said.

Soon, Mykan and Jewel were at The Golden Oak Library. “Thanks forsvaung me.” Jewel praised.

“No problem. I wouldn’t let anything happen to you.” Jewel blushed at Mykan’s words. She giggled and hugged Mykan, wrapping her arms around her stomach. Mykan returned the favor. They stayed like that unaware that their friends were watching from the window. “Awww, they cute.” Rainbow said.

“Leave them alone, Rainbow.” Rarity stated. The ponies all shared a laugh as they watched the their friends share a romantic moment.

In our next episode; Jewel faces her biggest challenge when Sombra and Chysalis strike. Worse of all, they’ve stolen her friends magic.
