My Brave Pony: Starfleet Magic: The New Member (Rewrite)

“M-Me?” Jewel cried. “I-I can't battle them!”

“Sure you can.” Rainbow stated. “You beat their butts the last time.”

“But they were just puppets, not the real thing.”

That’s when Pyrax, Pharynx, Crystal, Silver and Pyrite came into the throne room. “Don’t worry, Jewel.” Pyrax said. “We’ll help you.”

“You bet!” Crystal added. Jewel smiled at her changeling friends. “How sweet.” Jewel gasped in horror and she whirled around and saw Sombra and Chrysalis standing in the doorway, glowing with the magic they’ve stolen from the ponies. “But it won’t save you.” Sombra sneered.

Sombra fired a pulse at the fallen fighters. “No!” Jewel leaped in front of her friends and fired her own pulse of magic. The two collided in a explosion. Chrysalis snickered and rushed towards Jewel. Jewel and Chrysalis began engaging in hand-to-hand combat. Punching and kicking each other repeatedly. They seemed to be even. “You’re quite the challenge.” Chrysalis sneered. “But you’re no match for me.” she blasted Jewel, sending her crashing into Celestia’s throne.

Jewel quickly got up and was about to charge when, “Jewel! Get out of here!” Lightning cried. Jewel turned to him in disbelief. “What?!”

“They’re too strong for you alone. You have leave and think of another plan of attack.” Lightning explained. He turned to the five changelings. “Pyrax, Pharynx, Crystal, Silver and Pyrite, take Jewel and get her someplace safe.”

“But what about you guys?” Pyrite asked.

“We will be alright.” Luna replied. “Just get Jewel to safety.” Pyrite nodded. All five changelings turned into dragons. Pyrite flew and grabbed Jewel in her claws and the six of them flew out the window towards the New Everfree Forest. “Hahahaha. Shouldn’t have sent them away so quickly.” Sombra said as he and Chrysalis approached the fallen fighters.

Meanwhile, the changelings landed and turned back into their changeling selves. Jewel sighed and looked really sad, she looked back towards the mountains. “Guys”

The changelings could sense her sadness. “Don’t worry Jewel, you can save them.” Crystal reassured.

“How?” Jewel asked. “They have all my friends, including their majesties magic. I can’t match that!”

“Sure you can.” Pharynx replied. “You have your awesome animal and Valkyrie magic.”

“But that’s not enough.” Jewel sighed. “It’s hopeless.” The changelings could not think of anything else to cheer their teacher and friend up. Suddenly, Jewel’s chest began glowing and a familiar necklace appeared. “My Element? What’s this doing here?”

The element magically detached itself from Jewel’s neck and began floating towards the cave where the Tree of Harmony layed. Jewel and the changelings followed it. They reached the tree and saw a familiar spirit standing near it. “Twilight?”

Twilight ruined and smiled at Jewel. “Jewel, I've been expecting you.”

“What’s going on?” Jewel asked.

“You are about to unlock a hidden power within you Valkyrie magic.”

“A hidden power?” Crystal repeated. Twilight nodded. “In fact all of you will unlock the power.”

“Us?” Pyrax stated.

“What did we do?” Pyrite asked.

“Since you’ve became Jewel’s students you’ve shown the reflections of my friends Elements of Harmony.

Pharynx, you’ve unlocked the Element of Sorcery.

Pyrite, Element of Healing.

Crystal, Element of Beauty.

Pyrax, Element of Strength.

And Silver, Element of Bravery

And finally, Jewel, Element of Hope.”

As she spoke the changelings got their own necklaces like Jewel’s and they had a similar style to the mane five and Queen Celestia’s element symbols (except, Jewel’s element symbol was a gold dove).

“With these you can unlock the Rainbow Power.” Twilight said. “Use it to save your friends and the kingdom.” The six friends nodded and with that Twilight disappeared in the bright flash and they found themselves back at the royal palace.

“Awesome.” Pharynx stated.

“Yeah. Well you heard Twilight, let’s save our friends and the kingdom. Together!” Jewel said.

“Together!” the changelings repeated.

In the throne room, Sombra and Chrysalis were sitting in Queen Celestia and Grand Ruler's thrones, laughing at the powerless ponies. Chrysalis brought her changeling army into the throne room as well. Already they've taken the magic from all of the Equestrian and Space ponies. Now they've trapped the gang in cocoons and had them hanging from the ceiling.

"You will not prevail, Sombra and Chrysalis." Celestia declared.

"We've already have, we've taken all the magic from your world and there's no pony that can stop us!" Chrysalis sneered.

"How about five changelings and a unicorn!” a voice said.

“What?” Sombra and Chrysalis looked and saw the changelings and Jewel transformed. “So the traitors return.” Chrysalis sneered, referring to the five changelings. “Let our friends go now!” Pharynx demanded.

Sombra and Chrysalis laughed. “Not a chance. Well finally get to rule this miserable planet for ourselves!” Sombra cried.

“Not if we have anything to say about it. Ready guys?” Jewel asked.

“Ready!” the changelings replied. They all concentrated and made their respective element glow brightly and they all called out.

“FRIENDSHIP HOUR, RAINBOW POWER!”

They were coated in magical streets of magic that represented the elements of harmony and they changed.

Jewel’s mane and tail grew long and glowing like Queen Celestia’s and her body gain dove markings on her hands and super suit.

The changelings metamorphosed. Their legs were no longer rained with holes and their bodies completely changed. Now they were a little taller and they had a horn that matched their different body color (except Pharynx). They all had butterfly like wings.

Pharynx; yellow with blue wings and orange mandibles protruding from his head.

Crystal; green with pink wings.

Pyrite; white with yellow wings.

Silver; dark green with red wings.

And Pyrex; blue with light purple wings.

The ponies just stared at them in amazement. Sombra and Chrysalis were far from amused.

The five changelings fires at the pods. They exploded and the ponies and the minions were set free. Jewel raced over to her friends. “Are you okay?” she asked.

Lightning and the gang stood up. “Yeah, we're okay.”

“Awesome, colors Jewel!” Rainbow said.

“And the changelings changed as well. Cool!” Buddy added.

“Thanks.” Pharynx prissed. “Now Jewel, it’s time to finish what you started.” The changelings used their own magic to levitate their elements to Jewel. They swirled around her creating a large ball of magic. She reached her hand out and her Animal Staff came and she grabbed it tightly.

“Got get em!” Rainbow cried.

“Clear out guys!” she called. “This is gonna get ugly.” They all heard their wanting and rushed out of the palace and into the New Canterlot Village.

“Will she be okay?” Fluttershy asked.

“I’m sure she will be. We just have to hope it’s true.” Grand Ruler stated.

Back at the palace, Sombra and Chrysalis roared and charged Jewel at full speed. Jewel leaped over them, pointed her staff at them and cried out, "DRAGON FLAME!!" A pink dragon spirit came out of her staff and blasted Sombra and Chrysalis, sending them crashing to the ground.

The duo got back you,"DARKNESS BLAST"

"BUFFALO CHARGE" Jewel charged head on into the beam of dark magic. She bypassed it and rammed Sombra and Chrysalis, sending them into one of the pillars. It loosened some of the rocks from the ceiling.

Sombra and Chrysalis through the massive boulders at Jewel. She sliced through them with her staff.

The duo were outraged! They blasted a beam of dark magic at Jewel, but she skillfully used her staff and deflected the beam back at the duo. Jewel and charged the duo, roaring like a true warrior.. Sombra and Chrysalis did the same thing.

The three engaged in full on fist fight; kicking and punching each other viciously. Jewel finally punched them in the stomach sending them into the floor.

Jewel landed flat on the ground looking badly beaten; her face was bruised, her mane was badly disheveled, she was breathing heavily, her suit was dented in some spots and had scorch marks. It only had a little power left from such a hard battle. The magic of as still in effect. Sombra and Chrysalis looked no better.

They all struggled to their feet. "TIME TO END THIS.!!!!" Sombra and Chrysalis roared, coating themselves in all the magic they've stolen, including the uniforce, they charged Jewel like warriors. Jewel coated herself in all the magic from her elements, staff and the little power left in her suit. “HARMONIC CONVERGENCE!” She roared and charged the duo. Like two comets the three collided causing a huge, deadly explosion; destroying about half the palace!

The explosion sent out a magical wave that restored the ponies magic. Also, they and the changelings felt the large tremor from village. “What was that?” Lightning cried.

“Look!” Pharynx said, pointing at the palace on the distance. Everybody turned and saw large amounts of sample coming from it. They all stood in utter shock.

"Galloping Galaxies!" Lightning cried.

"Jewel!" Starla cried. The ponies rocked towards the scene as well the changelings. They got there and they didn’t see any sign of Jewel. The throne room was completely destroyed and in ruins as well the rest of the palace. “Galloping Galaxies!” Lightning cried. “The place is a wreck.”

“I don’t see any sign of Jewel.” Pharynx replied. All the ponies were really worried about what happened to their special friend.

Jewel woke up with a headache. “Woah… where am I?” she groaned. Standing up, she found herself in a light blue void filled with stars. “What is this place?”

Suddenly, a figure began to appear in front of her. “Congratulations, Jewel.” it said. “I knew you could do it.” Jewel walked up to the figure and hugged it. “Twilight? I don’t understand.” Jewel replied. “What did I do?”

“You saved your kingdom, using the Magic of Friendship in a really extraordinary way.” Twilight explained. “Something that even Lightning Dawn, Grand Ruler or Queen Celestia were not able to do.” She walked behind Jewel as she continued talking. “The lessons you’ve learned in New Ponyville have taught you well. You’ve proven that you’re ready Jewel.”

“Ready?” Jewel repeated. “Ready for what?” They began walking down a star path with images of all she’s done in the past; from first meeting her friends to meeting her changeling friends. As they walked Twilight began singing a song.

When she finished singing, a small ball of magic appeared in front of Jewel and it circled around her while her back was glowing. She was lifted up into the air and consumed by the magic.

BOOM! The large pink star appeared above New Canterlot and her friends saw it. It floated down in front of the gang and created a large amount of light so they covered their eyes. They could see a familiar figure in the middle of it. “Jewel. Is that you?” Applejack asked.

Jewel stood up and shimmered, revealing her new pink royal cape and her new pink wings with aquamarine shading. Everybody gasped in extremely shock.

Applejack approached her while Jewel looked at her own wings. “I-I never seen anything like it.”

“Ha! Jewel’s got wings. Awesome!” Rainbow cried. She hugged Jewel. “A new flying buddy.”

Rarity approached her. “Why you’ve become and alicorn.” she added. “I haven’t seen this since Twilight.”

Pinkie cried out. “ALICORN PARTY!”

Fluttershy stood beside her. “Wow, you look just like a princess.”

Just then, the spirits of Twilight, Fratello and Amando appeared. “That’s because she is a princess.” Twilight replied.

“Huh?” Everybody said. Jewel easily was the most surprised by what Twilight said. “I-I’m a princess?”

Twilight walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. “Since you’ve came to United Equestria, you’ve spread the Magic of Friendship all over United Equestria, something that I was trying to do. You’ve shown that you know alot about friendship which is why…. I dub you, Jewel Crystal as the new Princess of Friendship.”

Everybody cheered and rejoiced for their new Princess. Lightning was the most proud of her. “So what do I do now?” Jewel asked. “Is there a book about being a Princess I should read?” Twilight giggled. “Trust me there isn’t.” she said. “But you have some royal teachers that can help you.” Jewel turned to the five royal ponies. Grand Ruler smiled. “Don’t worry, we’ll help you.” Jewel smiled at her family.

Just then, Jewel’s flank began to glow brightly. The mane five looked at it and when it stopped glowing they all gasped in disbelief. “What?” Queen Celestia asked.

“Jewel… she-she got a-a-a-” Rarity stuttered

“A what?” Grand Ruler questioned.

“JEWEL GOT A CUTIE MARK!!” Pinkie cried The space ponies looked as Jewel pulled down her pants side, revealing a purple star with a white dove in the center and circling the star were the small symbols of the mane five’s and Queen Celestia’s elements of harmony. “Impossible.” Grand Ruler whispered.

“Yeah!” Jewel cried. She began bouncing around their majesties saying. “I have a cutie mark! I have a cutie mark!” their majesties chuckled at her giddiness. Jewel stopped jumping around and just smiled.

Suddenly, Jewel’s Element of Hope glowed brightly and sent a large beam at the Golden Oak Library.

The tree-castle bears some resemblance to the library, however, is many times larger and appears to have a multi-level castle in its branches, which includes a great balcony, two spires, and a tower. The structure has at least one banner flying on the side marked with and the top bears a large crystal star.

Two sets of five strings of beads hang off the side of the structure much like the white beads that hang off the Tree of Harmony. At the foot is a great golden stair for the two-leaved golden door into the tree's body. Two open lancet windows flank the door.

The lobby's two stairs lead into the castle rooms where lancet two-toned green glass windows and crystalline lathed columns with scrolled tops line the hall decked by a brown rug with scrollwork.

“Galloping Galaxies!” Lightning cried. “The library changed into a castle!” Everybody, including their majesties added their own compliments. “Wanna take a peak?” Twilight asked.

Everybody immediately rushed into the castle. There was a large library, almost as large as the one in New Canterlot. At its end is a golden-framed green glass fanlight door to the throne room that have a crystalline throne about a star-shaped dais on a golden dish on a violet rug with scrollwork. Even with its door are a set of green glass spire lights. “It’s gorgeous!” Rarity cried.

“Indeed.” their majesties added.
Rainbow elbowed Jewel playfully. “Looks like somebody has a new home.” Jewel smiled. Now she’s a princess, has a cutie mark and a new castle. Now all that’s left is her royal coronation.
