Tale Of Silent Night

Fluttershy and Silently Night trotted through town. She thought that he needed to get out and see the town. Maybe that would help him, at least she hoped it would.

She soon saw The Castle Of Friendship, and decided to visit Twilight.

“Do you want to meet a special friend of mine, Silent?”, she asked with a grin.

“Uh, s-sure”, he said nervously.

They trotted up to the castle door, and Fluttershy knocked. The door opened to reveal a small purple dragon.

“Hey Fluttershy, what brings you here? Who is that?”, Spike asked, looking behind Fluttershy.

Silent Night cowered behind Fluttershy, he had never seen a dragon before.

“I’ll explain later, Spike. May I come in?”, she asked nicely.

Spike moved back and let the two in. Silent Night was amazed, he was in a castle! He didn’t know who lived here, but they were sure lucky.

“Hello, Fluttershy”, a friendly voice said.

Silent looked over and saw someone he thought he would never meet. Princess Twilight Sparkle, in the flesh.

“Yes I do Twilight, you can come out Silent”, she said, calling for Silent.

Silent slowly emerged from behind Fluttershy, trying to keep his head down. Twilight was curious about the foal, and so was Spike.

“Um, Fluttershy, why is their a young colt following you?”, Twilight said.

Fluttershy then told the story of Silent Night and why he was here. Twilight listened to every word, she was genuinely concerned for his well being.

“Well, it sure is nice to meet you Silent Night”, she said, looking towards the quiet colt.

Silent bowed his head in respect for the princess.

“Oh, you don’t need to do that. If your with Fluttershy, then it’s not necessary”, she said with a blush.

Silent looked up at the princess and nodded. He then backed up behind Fluttershy.

“Silent, can you give us some time alone, please?”, Fluttershy asked nicely.

Silent nodded and walked out of the room, leaving the two mares.

“He sure is a little gentlecolt, Fluttershy”, Twilight said with a smile.

“I know, he’s adorable”, she said with a smile.

“What are you going to do with him?”, Twilight asked.

“I’m not sure.......”, Fluttershy said, tears forming in her eyes.

Twilight trotted over and embraced her friend. She too was stumped about the situation, what was Fluttershy going to do? She couldn’t give him to some orphanage, she couldn’t live with herself if she did that. She was running out of options.

“What if......you adopted him”, Twilight suggested.

Fluttershy teared up and looked down. Twilight just looked on, she didn’t know what agency could say in situation.

“I don’t think I can.....”, Fluttershy said sadly.

“Why not? Your an amazing caretaker for your animals, I’m sure you could translate that into being a mother”, Twilight added with a smile.

“What..What if I’m not the one he wants? What if I can’t be the one he needs....”, she said.

“Don’t say that”, a voice said from behind.

It was Silent Night. He trotted slowly to Fluttershy.

“In the two days I’ve been staying with you, you’ve shown me more love than I’ve ever felt. Momma loved me, but she’s didn’t love me as much as you do. I want to stay with you, please don’t make me go”, he said, tears eyed.

Fluttershy was speechless, she couldn’t talk even if she’s wanted to. Silent Night embraced her and nuzzled her neck. Fluttershy nuzzled back and just sobbed. They were close for a moment, until Fluttershy pulled away.

“Is this what you want, Silent Night? For me to care for you?”, she asked.

“Yes, Yes I do.”, he replied.

“Then consider it done, Silent Night.”, she smiled, crying tears of joy.

“Thank you so much.....Mom”, he said, tears of joy forming in husband eyes.

Fluttershy looked at her colt. HER colt, HER family. It was the greatest feeling she had ever had.
