Tale Of Silent Night

When word got around that Fluttershy had adopted a colt, the other Elements rejoiced. Pinkie was so happy, that she decided to throw a party for the new family, one that would take place on Friday.

Today was Wednesday, and Silent Night had just gotten back from school. He was highly intelligent in every subject, which didn’t surprise Fluttershy.

“Hi Mom”, he said to Fluttershy.

“Hello, Silent. How was your day?”, she asked.

“Great! We did a lot of math, which made Everypony mad, but I didn’t mind. One filly even-“, he said, continuing his reply.

Fluttershy listened to every word, she loved hearing him talk, his voice filled her with so much happiness. He soon finished and went silent.

“Are you excited about Friday?”, she asked with a smile.

“U-Uh..Yeah”, he said, looking a bit shaken.

“What’s wrong?”, she asked with a concerned look.

“I-it’s just.......I don’t like big crowds. They scare me”, he said.

“Oh, honey it’ll be ok. You’ll do just fine. Everyone is so excited to meet you and I’m sure you’ll love all of them”, she assured her son.

Today was the day of Pinkie Pie’s “Welcome To The Family, Silent Night!” party. The little colt in question, however, was feeling really nervous. Meeting a bunch of new ponies was a challenge for him, so he wasn’t sure how much he could handle.

As the time drew closer, Fluttershy began to comfort him.

“Honey, I promise you’ll be ok. There’s nothing to worry about, trust me”, she said while looking at her son.

He nodded and they made their way to Sugarcube Corner. Every step made Silent worry more, he was not sure what to do. As they approached the front entrance, Silent hid behind his mother.

“It’s ok Silent, Momma will protect you”, she assured her son.

They walked in to cheers and a offers of congratulation. Silent just stayed quiet and followed his mother.

“Alright Everypony, welcome to a very special party, where we will welcome our newest family member, Silent Night”, said Pinkie Pie, holding a mic on top of a stage.

“First things first, Silent is going to sit on the stage, and Everypony else is going to talk and meet him, take all the time you want”, she said as she walked off the stage.

Fluttershy nudged Silent to go on the stage, he obliged and walked on the stage and sitting in an office chair.

After he sat down, the greeting began.

“Hiya! I’m Pinkie Pie! I’m so happy to finally meet you, Silent Night!”, she said, wrapping the colt in a hug.

Applejack was next,

“Howdy there, partner. Ah’m Applejack, But y’all can call me AJ if ya like!”, she said, extending her hoof.

Silent shook her hoof Android nodded, allowing Rainbow Dash to step up.

“Sup, I’m Rainbow Dash, it’s nice to meet ya”, she said.

Silent smiled and nodded, as Rarity came up next.

“Well, aren’t you just a handsome devil? I’m Rarity, please call me whatever you like”, she said, giving him a warm smile.

He returned the smile, and looked to see who was next.

“It’s nice to see you again, Silent Night, welcome to The the family”, said Twilight.

Silent nodded and noticed that three fillies were next in line.

“Hi!”, they said in unison.

“I’m Sweetie Belle, this is AppleBloom, and that’s Scootaloo”, the unicorn said.

“Howdy”, said AppleBloom.

“Sup”, said Scootaloo.

Silent recongnized them from his class, and they walked off.

The rest said their greetings and the real party began. The music was provided by DJ P-O-N-3, and as usual, dubstep blasted through the bakery. Silent was silently dancing, until he felt the urge to say something. He trotted up to Pinkie Pie and pulled her tail.

“Pinkie Pie?”, he said.

“Hey Silent! What do you need?” She responded, full of energy.

“I-I want to say something to Everypony” he said with caution.

“Alrighty!”, Pinkie said, and then went over DJ and cut the music.

“Hey Everypony! Silent wants to say something!”, she said, putting him on the stage.

Everypony was excited, this was the first time they were going to hear him speak.

“I-Uh, just wanted to say thank you. This is the most fun i’ve ever had”, he said, blushing.

Everypony awwed and clapped their hooves together.

“Thanks Everypony, you’ve made happier than I’ve ever been”, he said, tears of joy forming within his blue pupils.

Fluttershy cried with him, her purpose was realized then and there.

She was his Guardian Angel, Andy she wouldn’t never want anything else more.

Silent met his mothers gaze, he wasn’t thinking the same thing.
